Herbal Remedies Should Not Be Legal
A pill for this and a pill for that seems to be all I hear. I say, No, no, no, give me options! It s my
health, and I want choices! Considering herbal remedies have been recorded for thousands of years for
medicinal purposes, I do not understand why I am not given choices for my health therapy. Herbal
remedies should not only be an option in the past, but should be considered and option made
accessible to everyone today. Using herbal remedies and supplements has changed and restored my
health, as I was able to cure my serious health issue without the use of prescription medication. Herbs
and herbal remedies have a long history with favorable results, learning from my personal experience
I believe people should be informed, and offered herbal remedies as an alternative to avert, or possibly
even cure some health issues. Although, herbal remedies may not be the solution to all health
problems, taking into consideration of the history recorded, alternative remedies should be considered
as an option for preventative care and treatment. To be given information on the historical uses of
herbs and herbal remedies, with regards to our health, would be beneficial to us all as this would give
people choices. Plants have been used for medicinal purposes long before recorded history. Ancient
Chinese and Egyptian papyrus writings describe medicinal uses for plants as early as 3,000 BC.
Indigenous cultures (such as African and Native American) used herbs in their healing

Global Pursuit Of International Commerce
3. Global Pursuit of International Commerce
Today, globalization is a generic term, economic globalization demands key developments in trade,
and these are finance and foreign direct reserves by multinational corporations. International trade has
grown exponentially and has become a much more prominent influence over domestic and global
economic businesses. Trade consumes a quarter of the total world income encompassing merchandise
trade, banking, and information. (Ferguson, 2014). Export vendors and consumers benefit from the
openness of the Internet yet organizations find themselves challenged with international businesses
that have improved their productivity where transnational policy differences poses significant barriers.

More and more businesses have expanded their exchanges into the world markets because of the
innovative technology advancements, assimilated financial systems, and openness of the Internet.
Despite the technological progression, the majority of trade takes place in primary, advanced
industrialized economies U.S., Japan, and Western Europe. (Ferguson, 2014). In spite of the restricted
nature of commercial globalization, transnational organizations play a significant role in the global
economy. These entities have become major determinants of trade, industry locality, and other
worldwide economic activities. Within the realm of the global economy, organizations must
understand the principal forces altering global economic and political matters.
A. International Commerce Antitrust and Competition Enforcement and Free Trade
The world of enforced trade competition or otherwise known as antitrust enforcement has now
assumed a new dominance within global commerce. Trade and competition policy have always been
viewed as influential between them. Essentially, both set forth balanced competition in the
marketplace that benefits customers but doesn t protect manufacturers. (Heather, 2014). Promoting
competition through antitrust or trade competition is no easy undertaking. The challenge is prominent
through foreign direct

The Psychological Immune System By Leslie Bell And Daniel...
The methods by which human beings rationalize their thinking can be explained through many
theories and speculations. Two important theories about human thought are explained by Leslie Bell
and Daniel Gilbert in their essays Hard to Get: Twenty Something women and the Paradox of Sexual
Freedom and Immune to Reality , respectively. Bell applies the term splitting to explain how the
women she spoke with are able to cope with the conflictions they feel over their sexual desires.
Splitting is a tool used within psychoanalytic theory to describe a means of dualistic or binary
thinking. Similarly, Gilbert coined the phrase psychological immune system to explain human self
rationalization behavior when someone suffers a severe setback. The psychological immune system is
a method of protecting the mind from the harsh reality of some events. Both splitting and the
psychological immune system approach the idea that human behavior is designed to protect the well
being of the mind whether it is through simplification, detachment, or fabrication of the true
circumstances.
The psychological immune system works by using specific tactics and strategies to help us transform
and understand a seemingly horrible event into a positive one or one that we can understand. Gilbert
explains that the psychological immune system is able to protect the mind by unconsciously cooking
the facts and then consciously consuming them (Gilbert 132). This means that when presented with a

View Of Justice Reflected By Amazing Grace Essay
Thrasymachan View of Justice Reflected in Amazing Grace In the Republic, Socrates starts the
discussion with the definition of justice. When Thrasymachus angrily interrupts and gives his own
definition, he in fact takes an opposite view on justice and argues that injustice is more advantageous
and profitable. Glaucon and Adiemantus further develop Thrasymachus view with a theory of the
nature and the origins of justice and claim that justice is desired only for the sake of rewards. In
Amazing Grace, injustice happens every day at every corner of Mott Haven, yet there are still a lot of
citizens trying to lead a just life. In the conflict between the authorities and the Mott Haven citizens,
the ceaseless injustice in Mott Haven, and some people s just acts, Thrasymachan view of justice is
reflected. To start with, Thrasymachus argues that it is profitable to act unjustly and harmful to act
justly. When Thrasymachus first defines justice as nothing other than the advantage of the stronger, he
refers to the ruler, which is the stronger, and the ruled (Plato, 338c). In this context, he believes that
the ruling party in any type of regime tyranny, democracy, or aristocracy makes laws to its own
advantage and defines the acts to its disadvantage as unjust (338d 339a). For the subjects it is just to
obey the laws and serve the ruler s interest, so if there is a conflict between the interests of the ruler
and the subjects, the ruler seeks what benefits itself through laws

Essay The Relationship Between Producers and Audiences
The relationship between producers and audiences
Audience research, producer response to research and audience targeting
A producer when beginning pre production or even before will most likely look at some form of
survey s which would include things like possible cast members for the film and the amount of
audience that would want to see possibly be interested in the genre. They will then take this to the
writers and director of the particular film and they will make amendments to how the survey has come
out. A producer will also look at the success of recent films of the same type; this is visible in recent
times with the resurgence of vampire films following the success of twilight saga this has lead to TV
series and films ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A producer who knows that their film doesn t have a lot of money or publicity would use a film
festival to get both of these things. Also these films will most likely be in art house cinemas but if one
is particularly successful then this could move to multiplex cinemas the troll hunter is one of those
films that has crossed the brigde from art house to multiplex and is now being shown in over 20 vue
cinemas in the UK, the producer did this by getting the film publicity from channel 4 s sister channel
E4 and making a competition for a private screening this made the film sort after which then lead to
interest from multiplex cinemas. But for films that won t need that sort of publicity will have a big
Hollywood premiere that would most likely have a segment on TV showing the premiere and would
include interviews with the cast, director and any other notable person involved with the film.
Celebrities from outside of the film will go also to show the films quality and also so that they
themselves can get publicity, films like this will almost always be shown in multiplex cinemas this is
the same for Cars 2 but will probably have this kind of showing but because it s a childs film the TV
shows and so on will most probably be shown on kids TV most obviously the Disney

The demand for indigo cake increased as many wanted to use the cake for various purposes, such as
using it as a blue dye for their painting. However, the supply of indigo cake was decreasing due to the
hard production method, resulting a fluctuation in its price. But, a German chemist, Johann Friedrich
Willhelm Adolf von Baeyer, developed a cheaper alternative method by making synthetic indigo. He
started working with indigo in 1865. His work resulted in the first chemical synthesis of indigo, in
1880. And then, three years later, he announced the chemical structure of synthetic indigo. He then
sold this invention to BASF (Badische Anilin und Soda Fabrik), an international chemical company,
for $100,000. Synthetic indigo, by 1913, had almost completely replaced natural indigo, and by 2002,
17000 tons of synthetic indigo were produced worldwide.

people automatically relate genre to specific forms of entertainment like music or television, but
varying forms of writing should be added to that list. The way a piece of writing is presented or

waist down. Mr. X has been in a wheelchair since the age of seventeen and is unable to live alone. He
requires twenty four hour care due to mental health and his physical condition. Mr. X was in an
assisted living facility prior to being admitted to the Behavior Health Pod. He stayed in B Pod for six
weeks then transferred to Cape Fear Hospital for further treatment. He is now ready for discharge and
the staff is having difficulty placing him because the agency he came from refuse to accept him back.
After reviewing Mr. X s chart, it is noted that he came from an assisted living facility but cannot return
due to his abusive behavior and chronic marijuana use. I met with Mr. X to receive a clear picture of
the concerns. He stated he smoked marijuana and refused to stop, it allowed him to escape and
because of his use, he cannot return. He also disclosed that the facility only had older people, was
located in a secluded area surrounded by trees, and he was uncomfortable. After speaking for several
hours, I learned he had been kicked out of many of the assisted living facilities in the surrounding
areas that accepted Medicaid. He stated he told staff he was going to commit suicide and that is how
he ended up in the B Pod. Mr. X s behavior presents a professional ethical dilemma for Cape Fear

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Privatization
Privatization refers to the transfer of business, property or ownership of the government to the private
sector. The government will not own the entity or the production anymore. By Kosar (2006), it is a
shift of the function from the state to the private sector. Privatization is often used to increase the
revenue of the government, it is a common economic tool. (Addams, 2006). According to Poon
(2004), privatization can be divided into four categories which is sales arrangement: meaning of
transferring ownership of the government to the private enterprises, contracting arrangement: it
involves transfer of service productions from the in house government to the private contractors,
deregulation: reducing the state regulation by market entry restrictions to increase market competition,
user pay: it assumes people are rational and separate individuals who aim to earn profit in everyday

so that they can fight for more customers. It also encourage more development on products, so more
new goods can be produced and consumers can have more product choices. Owners also provide
higher quality services in order to keep their old customers and attract more new customers. (Lau,

Essay On Keeping The Drinking Age
Without a doubt, the United States has been facing serious national problems with underage drinking.
Depending on personal ideologies, some people might not agree that the current minimum drinking
age of twenty one is based on scientific facts rather then ideology of prohibitionism. For example,
since 1975 over seventeen thousand lives have been saved since the minimum legal drinking age
(MLDA) was changed to age twenty one (Balkin 167). This shows that even over a short amount of
time, a higher MLDA helps decrease the risk of teen suicides, accidents and overdose deaths.
However, this widely debated topic has inevitably brought attention to the plethora of supporting and
opposing viewpoints. The minimum legal drinking age of twenty one ... Show more content on

Simultaneously, accidents involving automobiles without a doubt are devastating. How would one feel
if a loved one was killed in a collision due to an intoxicated driver? Wouldn t the individual want to do
something about it? The death of the Candy Lightner s daughter lead to her development of Mothers
Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and the 1984 National Minimum Drinking Age Act. This act gave
full federal highway funds only to states that set the minimum age to purchase or consume alcohol at
twenty one years (Sanghavi). Once all states raised their MLDA to twenty one years, drunk driving
accidents and deaths decreased. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the
reduction in traffic fatalities due to the legal drinking age of twenty one prevented 846 deaths in 1997
and prevented a total of 17,359 deaths since 1975 (Balkin 168). This single statistic shows that
automobile accidents have substantially decreased in response to the authorization of the National
Minimum Drinking Age Act. In addition, the average teenager earns their drivers license at the age of
seventeen. This being said, allowing a young driver with only one years experience (excluding a
learners permit) to legally consume alcohol would surely be an irresponsible decision. Most people

Literature Review on Corporate Culture
Management Literature Review
During the 1980s the concept of corporate culture captured the imagination of management
researchers and practitioners alike. In particular, Peters and Waterman s (1982) book entitled In Search
of Excellence: Lessons from America s Best Run Companies proclaimed that the key to corporate
success was a strongly unified corporate culture. Wilson (1996:87)
Corporate culture has always been a part of every business since it was first introduced in the 1980 s.

Possible Retirement Plans
In this report I will be giving you a brief description of three possible retirement plans; and to compare
and contrast each similarity and difference.
A retirement plan is a defined type of pension plan in which an employer/sponsor promises a specified
monthly benefit on retirement that is predetermined by a formula based on the employee s earnings
history, tenure of service and age, rather than depending directly on individual investment returns. I ve
chosen to discuss the 401(k), 403(b), and the SEP (Simplified Employee Pension Plan).
A 401(k) is a feature of a qualified profit sharing plan that allows employees to contribute a portion of
their wages to an individual account. To start a 401(k) you are required by your employer to pass a ...

It s very similar to a 401(k) plan. Just as with a 401(k) plan, a 403(b) plan lets employees defer some
of their salary into an individual accounts. For example, the 403(b) is used primarily by the self
employed or small business owners. As the employer, you can contribute up to 25 percent of your
income or $53,000, whichever is less, in 2015. These accounts are easier to set up than a solo
401(k).Lastly, a SEP or a Simplified Employee Pension plan can provide an important source of
income at retirement by letting employers set aside money in retirement account for themselves and
their employees. It s a flexible plan if cash flow is an issue. The plan I think would be more beneficial
long term would be a 401k match which is the best plan and the current plan I have being a CNA at a
nursing facility. When I worked as a cook on Ft. Sam Houston AFB I had a great 401k plan that when
I left that job after 2 and a half years I was granted my pension I so deserved and helped me thru hard
times. To withdraw a pension you have to be willing to give up 20% of your earning which is roughly
$400 or roll it into another 401(k) account with a new employer. A short term retirement plan I did not
list but I would say is a simple IRA account. It has a low contribution each year, easy to set up and
inexpensive. The plan that is best for where I am in life as of today is the 401k plan. I have it and I ve
never had any issues with it. I ended up saving more money than I thought and I am very excited for

Evil Can Never Overcome Goodness- Illustrated in Boethius ...
In the Consolation of Philosophy, Boethius confronts his unjust imprisonment with reason to illustrate
how virtue always overcomes evil and how God as the supreme good can neither cause nor condone
wickedness.
Boethius places an increased emphasis on God s eternal goodness to prove He can neither causes nor
condone wickedness, intending to provide comfort for the virtuous affected by injustice. Boethius s
belief concerning the interaction of evil and justice in the Consolation of Philosophy intends to
comfort the virtuous from the seemingly wicked world. Lady Philosophy, representing reason, soothes
Boethius s initial concerns by explaining how evil, the absence of good, can never defeat justice, and
that the wicked will receive their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Boethius also emphasizes God s eternal goodness, as Since nothing can be conceived better than God,
everyone agrees that that which has no superior is good. (pg 99) As the supreme being of the universe,
God is eternally good. His omnipresent status places him above humanity, and beyond evil. Boethius s
argument is valid because the idea of God as the ultimate good present in a different dimension of
time explains how God can see the future without interfering with free will. Boethius s argument is
interesting because it directly depends on Plato s Gorgias, illustrating the Consolation of Philosophy s
purely philosophical background. The use of reason is nuanced because of Boethius s lack of
theological leanings in the book, instead relying on its own statements. Although Boethius may
depend on Plato and Aristotle s theories, his continuation use of reason to create the idea of
Providence allows the reader greater understanding and satisfaction than faith alone. However,
because God does not interfere for the benefit of man, God seems to be out of reach for a suffering
individual. Boethius the author combats this heresy with reason, stating that not only does the full
scope of god s plans, Providence, remains incomprehensible by humans, but that suffering can lead to
renewal and actually benefits men who would have otherwise grown

The Renaissance Or Modern Era Essay
The fifteenth century was a time when Italian culture embraced the arts and the artist responsible for
transforming medieval artistic style to what is called the Renaissance or modern era. The Renaissance
emerged in Florence during the fourteen and fifteen centuries, where the interest of expression that
had been suppressed, broke free and emerged with a sense of creativity, reproducing their ancient
culture. The sense of creativity gave birth to the Renaissance and the emergence of humanism,
resulting in astounding work by many artist. A city in particular, Florence sparked the renewed interest
by encouraging artist to create art and architecture for religious, political and personal achievement
(Adams 2). Humanism was a departure from the past of flat sharped line figures, to painting and
sculpting the human physique in its actual state. It was no longer seen as a corrupt and impure (Adams
28). Artist relied heavily on the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to provide the history and
ideas used to recreate events of the past with resounding likeness to man. The story of David
influenced Donatello, Verrocchio and Michelangelo by how he is described in the bible as a figure of
strength, and beauty as the chosen one to be King of Israel. The story of David begins years before he
was to be King, in the mountains of Ephraim where a man by the name of Elkanah lived
(eBibleStories.com). Elkanah had many wives, one named Hannah was unable to bear a child, who

A Nationalist Han Chinese Identity
Today, in the oil rich Xinjiang Province of Northwestern China, millions of Turkic speaking Uyghurs
live in constant fear. Beards and headscarves banned. Mosques barred from broadcasting the azan, the
Islamic invocation of prayer. Unjustified rape of Uyghur women. Protesting for basic human rights
gets you written on a list of pan Turkist counter revolutionaries. Receiving phone calls from foreign
relatives gets you a visit from the secret police. And still, to the apparent dismay of the CCP, the ethnic
identity of Uyghurs still exists, after decades of state sponsored repression. Why do the Uyghurs
vehemently oppose Han Chinese integration? Why has the CCP taken unprecedented steps to forcibly
assimilate ethnic Chinese Muslims? The creation of a nationalist Han Chinese identity grounded in an
atheist communist state in 1949 engendered conflicts with Chinese ethnic Muslim minorities, due to
failed coercive integration and assimilation efforts and socioeconomic policy. After the annihilation by
the GMT in 1933, the CCP fled and walked through the unpleasant territory of Southwest China for
two years in what later came to be known as the Long March. Along the way, the CCP expectedly
came into direct contact with different ethnic minorities. These encounters professedly affected the
perspectives of CCP pioneers; the acknowledgment of China s immense diversity and the need to
acquire legitimacy as well as support from these ethnic minorities for the Communist insurgency

Price Elasticity of Demand
The Price Elasticity Coefficient and Formula: * Price elasticity of demand = consumers
responsiveness/sensitivity to a product s price change * A product is elastic if a small change in its
price elicits very large changes in the quantity demanded. * * Movement on the demand curve ex.
products that are not required in people s daily lives are often elastic products. (not necessity but
luxury) * A product is inelastic if a big price change elicits very little influence on the quantity
demanded. * Minimal movement on the demand curve * ex. products that are required in people s
daily lives are often inelastic products. (not luxury but necessity)
It is important to keep in mind that elasticity involves percentage change in price and quantity
demanded; not absolute change.
Midpoint Formula for calculating elasticity: * We use the formula in computing the price elasticity
coefficient. * Ex: A change of $4 $5 along a demand curve is a 25% increase, but the opposite price
change from $5 $4 along the same curve is a 20% decrease. Since elasticity should be the same
whether price rises or falls, the midpoint formula is needed. * This formula simply averages the two
prices and the two quantities as the reference points for computing the percentages. * Ex: the reference

The Effect of Amercan Wars on the Societal Views of Women
From the earliest times of man, women seemed to always be seen and treated as inferior, and certainly
not equal. With the birth of the United States, and the wars that followed, the female population finally
gained the confidence to voice their thoughts of their roles in society. The impact of the Revolutionary
War, the Civil War, and the Progressive Era impacted the roles that women played in society in
momentous ways because all three of these events were times of partial chaos with which came the
more confident voices of women voicing their concerns about society s views of them. The
Revolutionary War was a time when thoughts and views were not as easily muted and, because of this,
women, for the first time in history, took advantage of this and voiced their concerns verbally and
through their actions such as Abigail Adams and the Sons and Daughters of Liberty. Due to similar
unrest, the Civil War proved to be an exceedingly important time for women because they were able to
partake in a actions such as speaking out against slavery, filling male positions in factories, and even
aiding wartime doctors. A final event that created arguably the most change for women is the early
Progressive years and the spin off actions that followed such as the call for women s votes, the rising
leadership roles that they called for, and even their aiding of the poor and sick in places such as the
Hull House.
The Revolutionary War gave rise to a nation like none the world had seen before;

In oligopoly market, each firm has substantial market power with high degree of interdependence. The
key for success in a oligopoly market is to gain more market share than the competitors. Increasing the
price can lead to loss of market share to the competitors, so in the oligopoly market, if a firm
decreases the price, the other firms will always follow, but if a firm increase the price, the other firms
will not follow. The demand curve is kinked. However, lowering the price decreases the overall profit
of the market thus, non price competition is most important win win strategy for all the firm. As the
game, does not allow us to make product differentiation, the other method that can increase the sales
are advertising, product development and E commerce enhancement. If these expenditures are below
market average level, the firm can lose the market share. 4 Besides, decreasing the production cost is
also important as the firm can then lower the price. So the decisions related to change in plant size,
process improvement and the training are also important. Strategies of our firm In oligopoly market,
one important method to increase the market share is to keep the price lower than competitors price.
However, because at the beginning of the game, our firm ignored the importance of the plant size,

Neil Armstrong As A Hero
This is one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind. (Neil Armstrong). In the 1960s, the race
began between America and the Soviet Union to see who could be the first to launch humans to the
moon. Several years later, America achieved a goal that was believed unlikely and almost impossible a
few years earlier. During the 1960 s Neil Armstrong changed the world and became an American hero.
Neil Armstrong had a long journey before he got to take those first steps on the moon. As a child, he
moved with his family to several Ohio communities before they settled in Wapakoneta when Neil was
13 years old ( Armstrong, Neil Alden ). Neil Armstrong s family moved a lot around Ohio until they
finally found a place to settle. Neil was only 13 years old. Moving could have made it hard for
Armstrong to make friends and he could have had a hard time dealing with school. Also, according to
www.notablebiographies.com, Neil Armstrong was the oldest of three children. He had a sister named
June and a brother named Dean. His parent s names were Stephen and Viola Armstrong. His sister
June, was four years younger than him. Later on, In 1947, Armstrong entered Purdue University. He
began studies in aeronautical engineering. But in 1949, the United States Navy called him to active
duty. Armstrong became a Navy pilot and was sent to Korea in 1950, near the start of the Korean
War.In 1952, Armstrong returned to Purdue. He earned a bachelor s degree in aeronautical engineering
there in 1955. Also in 1970, he earned a master s degree in aerospace engineering at the University of
Southern California ( Armstrong, Neil Alden ). Before Neil Armstrong finished school, he was in the
Navy, but cared enough about his education to continue it 2 years later. He even returned to school 15
years later. This lead to him getting a master s degree and a bachelor s degree. The beginning of
Armstrong s life led to many different accomplishments for his time. Neil Armstrong had many life
accomplishments other than walking on the moon.To begin, Neil Armstrong is known for being the
first man to walk on the moon, making American history. Worldbookonline.com states that Armstrong,

Gun Ownership In Early America Summary
In the article Gun Ownership in Early America: A Survey of Manuscript Militia Returns by Robert
Churchill, he discusses how gun ownership in the early 18th and 19th centuries was scarce and at
times the armed militias were the only people who had guns at all. It was because of this that the
government made gun ownership exceptional. This is different from today when gun ownership is
everywhere. Due to the high concentration of guns sometimes it is hard to count how many are sold in
the United States every year. To learn that guns, at one time, were almost non existent is almost hard
to believe. In the article, the author talks about Michael Bellesiles a historian who first wrote on gun
ownership in America in 1996. Bellesiles was the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike the 18th and 19th centuries, the government today is much against gun ownership. So much so
that they have enacted gun control laws that would take all guns away from American citizens.
Though guns can be dangerous in the wrong hands, Americans have the right to bear arms. To take
gun ownership away would mean destroying the Constitutional right of every American. Instead of
gun control everyone that buys a gun they should undergo an intense back ground check and be
required to attend gun ownership classes to learn how to safely use the weapon. In the article it is
stated that most guns in the 18th and 19th centuries were owned by younger men and boys. This
would suggest that younger men in those centuries were more mature than those of today. Back then
people had to fend for themselves because money was not as prevalent as it is today, so owning a gun
was more of a necessity. Now when younger people possess a fire arm the outcome is more violent.
The damage inflicted by young people with guns in the last decade has been some of the worst
America has ever witnessed. The Sandy Hook shooting being the most recent string of school related
gun violence. In the 18th and 19th centuries, this type of behavior was never recorded, but the
population was sparser and children then did not have violent videogames, TV

Review of My Report of a Blood Pressure Test
Recently, I have written a set of instruction draft for manually testing the blood pressure of any adult

of the post test question:  50% of the volunteers performing the blood pressure test had a hard time
locating the pulse.  25% of the volunteers were unable to find the exact place to secure the cuff. 
25% of the volunteers were unable to hear the heart beats clearly while taking the systolic and

transport infrastructure projects and other industries? The question is further sub divided to provide a
concrete answer to the overarching question; this includes an analysis of how women in senior level
administrative positions in the transport industry describe and perceive the glass ceiling experience,
the characteristics of the women in such senior level administrative positions that are crucial in
breaking the glass ceiling.
Moreover, the study will also ascertain the tools and resources necessary for women in the transport

Access Of Education During The Colonial Period
Access to education continued to be problematic even in the colonial time. Individuals with more
resources were able to access different books, journals and magazines. Should this really be the case in
America today? It is my hope the education continues to transform from the colonial times, with
growth in awareness of social economy statuses and awareness of the concerns of everyday citizens.
Even though, education reform as continue to change with new leadership on the federal, state and
local levels some social and political injustices to access continue. It is vital that individuals in power
make changes by creating conditions and spaces where everyone has fair and equal opportunity to
access all books and other educational material.
Much of adult education in the early colonial period owe less to formal institutions, educational or

According to a study on Gatorade at the University of Minnesota they stated If you re not breaking a

Acknowledgement
At first I want to express gratitude to the Almighty Allah for his endless kindness to give me the
chance to work under tremendous supervision of my honorable teacher Dr. Arshad M. Chowdhury to
give me the opportunity to work on an enormous task.
Objective:
GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) is a digital mobile telephony system which is
TDMA based wireless network technology developed widely in Europe and other parts of the world.
GSM uses a variation of time division multiple access (TDMA) and is the most widely used of the
three digital wireless telephony technologies (TDMA, GSM, and CDMA). GSM digitizes and
compresses data, then sends it down a channel with two other streams of user data, each in its own
time slot.
GSM phones make use of a SIM card to identify the user s account. The use of the SIM card allows
GSM network users to quickly move their phone number from one GSM phone to another by simply
moving the SIM card. Currently GSM networks operate on the 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, and
1900MHz frequency bands. Devices that support all four bands are called quad band, with those that
support 3 or 2 bands called tri band and dual band, respectively. In the United States, Cingular
operates on the 850 and 1900MHz bands, while T Mobile operates only on the 1900MHz band.
GSM security:
Security is the degree of protection against damages, danger, loss and crime. In our days, the need for
security makes many people look for different ways in

Increasing Frequency And Normality Of Piracy
Outcome
Introduction
This research project explores the increasing frequency and normality of piracy as a crime in addition
to its strong relationship with Australia. In particular, the purpose of this research project is to explore
How the rate of piracy in Australia can be reduced in addition to analysing the fundamental factors
behind the increase in the frequency of piracy, furthermore investigating methods to reduce such
criminal acts, including legal consequences.
Definition of Digital Piracy
Digital piracy or copyright infringement is essentially defined as the unauthorised sharing or use of a
product that has been copyrighted, according to the Australian Parliament House (2006). However, the
way in which the public infringe has changed over the decades. Initially, recording music being played
on the radio onto a cassette player was the inaugural generation of piracy within our modern society.
In the 1980s, recording Television (TV) onto Vertical Helical Scan (VHS) recorders became prevalent
(C Span (Created by Cable), 1986). Soon after, the copying or ripping of Digital Versatile Discs
(DVDs) and Compact Discs (CDs) soared (The Golden Age of Piracy, 2014). However, none of these
methods compare in financial losses to the present generation of piracy the digital age (IP (Intellectual
Property) Awareness Foundation, 2015). The vast lawless regions of the internet provide the perfect
haven for digital piracy. Whether content is downloaded through peer to peer (P2P)

Considering herbal remedies have been recorded for thousands of years for medicinal purposes, I do not understand why I am not given choices for my health therapy. Herbal remedies should not only be an option in the past, but should be considered and option made accessible to everyone today. Using herbal remedies and supplements has changed and restored my health, as I was able to cure my serious health issue without the use of prescription medication. Herbs and herbal remedies have a long history with favorable results, learning from my personal experience I believe people should be informed, and offered herbal remedies as an alternative to avert, or possibly even cure some health issues. In this context, he believes that the ruling party in any type of regime tyranny, democracy, or aristocracy makes laws to its own advantage and defines the acts to its disadvantage as unjust (338d 339a). A retirement plan is a defined type of pension plan in which an employer/sponsor promises a specified monthly benefit on retirement that is predetermined by a formula based on the employee s earnings history, tenure of service and age, rather than depending directly on individual investment returns. I ve chosen to discuss the 401(k), 403(b), and the SEP (Simplified Employee Pension Plan). Just as with a 401(k) plan, a 403(b) plan lets employees defer some of their salary into an individual accounts. For example, the 403(b) is used primarily by the self employed or small business owners. As the employer, you can contribute up to 25 percent of your income or $53,000, whichever is less, in 2015. These accounts are easier to set up than a solo 401(k).Lastly, a SEP or a Simplified Employee Pension plan can provide an important source of income at retirement by letting employers set aside money in retirement account for themselves and their employees. It s a flexible plan if cash flow is an issue. The plan I think would be more beneficial long term would be a 401k match which is the best plan and the current plan I have being a CNA at a nursing facility. When I worked as a cook on Ft. To withdraw a pension you have to be willing to give up 20% of your earning which is roughly $400 or roll it into another 401(k) account with a new employer. A short term retirement plan I did not list but I would say is a simple IRA account. It has a low contribution each year, easy to set up and inexpensive. Boethius s belief concerning the interaction of evil and justice in the Consolation of Philosophy intends to comfort the virtuous from the seemingly wicked world. (pg 99) As the supreme being of the universe, God is eternally good. His omnipresent status places him above humanity, and beyond evil. Boethius s argument is valid because the idea of God as the ultimate good present in a different dimension of time explains how God can see the future without interfering with free will. Boethius s argument is interesting because it directly depends on Plato s Gorgias, illustrating the Consolation of Philosophy s purely philosophical background. The use of reason is nuanced because of Boethius s lack of theological leanings in the book, instead relying on its own statements. Although Boethius may depend on Plato and Aristotle s theories, his continuation use of reason to create the idea of Providence allows the reader greater understanding and satisfaction than faith alone. However, because God does not interfere for the benefit of man, God seems to be out of reach for a suffering individual. The Renaissance Or Modern Era Essay The fifteenth century was a time when Italian culture embraced the arts and the artist responsible for transforming medieval artistic style to what is called the Renaissance or modern era. The Renaissance emerged in Florence during the fourteen and fifteen centuries, where the interest of expression that had been suppressed, broke free and emerged with a sense of creativity, reproducing their ancient culture. The sense of creativity gave birth to the Renaissance and the emergence of humanism, resulting in astounding work by many artist. • 28. The Effect of Amercan Wars on the Societal Views of Women From the earliest times of man, women seemed to always be seen and treated as inferior, and certainly not equal. With the birth of the United States, and the wars that followed, the female population finally gained the confidence to voice their thoughts of their roles in society. The impact of the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and the Progressive Era impacted the roles that women played in society in momentous ways because all three of these events were times of partial chaos with which came the more confident voices of women voicing their concerns about society s views of them. The Revolutionary War was a time when thoughts and views were not as easily muted and, because of this, women, for the first time in history, took advantage of this and voiced their concerns verbally and through their actions such as Abigail Adams and the Sons and Daughters of Liberty. Due to similar unrest, the Civil War proved to be an exceedingly important time for women because they were able to partake in a actions such as speaking out against slavery, filling male positions in factories, and even aiding wartime doctors. A final event that created arguably the most change for women is the early Progressive years and the spin off actions that followed such as the call for women s votes, the rising leadership roles that they called for, and even their aiding of the poor and sick in places such as the Hull House. The Revolutionary War gave rise to a nation like none the world had seen before; ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The key for success in a oligopoly market is to gain more market share than the competitors. Increasing the price can lead to loss of market share to the competitors, so in the oligopoly market, if a firm decreases the price, the other firms will always follow, but if a firm increase the price, the other firms will not follow. The demand curve is kinked. However, lowering the price decreases the overall profit of the market thus, non price competition is most important win win strategy for all the firm. • 31. Gun Ownership In Early America Summary In the article Gun Ownership in Early America: A Survey of Manuscript Militia Returns by Robert Churchill, he discusses how gun ownership in the early 18th and 19th centuries was scarce and at times the armed militias were the only people who had guns at all. It was because of this that the government made gun ownership exceptional. This is different from today when gun ownership is everywhere. Due to the high concentration of guns sometimes it is hard to count how many are sold in the United States every year. To learn that guns, at one time, were almost non existent is almost hard to believe. In the article, the author talks about Michael Bellesiles a historian who first wrote on gun ownership in America in 1996. Bellesiles was the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike the 18th and 19th centuries, the government today is much against gun ownership. So much so that they have enacted gun control laws that would take all guns away from American citizens. Though guns can be dangerous in the wrong hands, Americans have the right to bear arms. To take gun ownership away would mean destroying the Constitutional right of every American. Instead of gun control everyone that buys a gun they should undergo an intense back ground check and be required to attend gun ownership classes to learn how to safely use the weapon. In the article it is stated that most guns in the 18th and 19th centuries were owned by younger men and boys. This would suggest that younger men in those centuries were more mature than those of today. Back then people had to fend for themselves because money was not as prevalent as it is today, so owning a gun was more of a necessity. Now when younger people possess a fire arm the outcome is more violent. The damage inflicted by young people with guns in the last decade has been some of the worst America has ever witnessed. Gsm ( Global System For Mobile Communication Acknowledgement At first I want to express gratitude to the Almighty Allah for his endless kindness to give me the chance to work under tremendous supervision of my honorable teacher Dr. Arshad M. Chowdhury to give me the opportunity to work on an enormous task. Objective: GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) is a digital mobile telephony system which is TDMA based wireless network technology developed widely in Europe and other parts of the world. GSM uses a variation of time division multiple access (TDMA) and is the most widely used of the three digital wireless telephony technologies (TDMA, GSM, and CDMA). GSM digitizes and compresses data, then sends it down a channel with two other streams of user data, each in its own time slot. GSM phones make use of a SIM card to identify the user s account. The use of the SIM card allows GSM network users to quickly move their phone number from one GSM phone to another by simply moving the SIM card. Currently GSM networks operate on the 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, and 1900MHz frequency bands. Devices that support all four bands are called quad band, with those that support 3 or 2 bands called tri band and dual band, respectively. In the United States, Cingular operates on the 850 and 1900MHz bands, while T Mobile operates only on the 1900MHz band. GSM security: Security is the degree of protection against damages, danger, loss and crime. In our days, the need for security makes many people look for different ways in ...
