- Fostered	a	close	relationship	with	Irish	Distillers	Pernod	Ricard,	and	were	subsequently	selected	as	
the	first	bar	in	Midleton	to	be	invited	to	the	Irish	Whiskey	Academy.		
EVENT	MANAGEMENT:	
- Planned	and	promoted	the	Mad	Monk	Easter	Beer	Festival.	Liaised	with	local	media	to	raise	
awareness	of	the	event	in	addition	to	a	strong	social	media	campaign.	Organised	entertainment,	event	
merchandise,	and	also	Midleton’s	inaugural	Bratwurst	Eating	Competition.	
SOCIAL	MEDIA	MARKETING:	
- Administrated	the	Facebook	and	Twitter	accounts	for	the	pub.	Responded	to	customer	messages	and	
organically	promoted	upcoming	events	through	engaging	content.

- Designed	a	qualitative	study	to	analyse	the	consumer	categorisation	process	of	the	craft	beer	product	
assortment	in	off-trade	retail.		
- Conducted	a	number	of	in-depth	interviews	which	included	a	product	sorting	exercise.	
- Utilising	this	data,	a	variety	of	product	assortments	were	constructed	to	assess	different	category	
structures.	
- Shopper	response	to	the	various	structures	was	evaluated	through	several	intercept	interviews.	
- Category	management	implications	were	identified,	and	marketing	recommendations	were	proposed.		
PRESENTATION	ON	SPORTS	NUTRITION	PRODUCTS	TO	MUSGRAVE’S	(RESULT:	89%):	
- Led	a	research	project	on	the	Sports	Nutrition	products	market	to	determine	the	feasibility	and	
potential	opportunity	for	a	private-label	range	of	“protein-products”	for	Musgrave’s	Retail	Partners	
(http://www.musgravegroup.com).	
- Developed	a	range	of	products	based	on	market	analysis,	and	proposed	a	strategic	marketing	plan	to	
support	the	new	product	launch.	
- Presented	the	proposal	to	Musgrave’s	Head	of	Own-Label	Products	and	Head	of	Loyalty	at	their	
headquarters,	for	which	our	team	was	awarded	the	highest	result.
