What Is Openstack And Its Importance
Service Providers and enterprises need to ensure that their networks remain a relevant and important
part of users everyday experience, and deliver added value in new and unique ways. How new
technologies like cloud, Software Defined Networking (SDN) will help them do this and efficient
management across network resources and cloud application. In this paper we have talked about what
is Openstack and its importance and briefly explored three major Openstack projects Compute,
Storage and Network and discussed their capabilities. Secondly we have mentioned three different
approaches of SDN Cloud convergence. How SDN proves useful in cloud environment and achieve
high flexibility and higher innovation. The also paper presents an alternate architecture that combines
SDN and Cloud Architecture. 1. Introduction: Traditional network model requires tremendous
commitment of hardware resources, dedicated budgets along with managing On premise datacentre.
The enterprise or the IT industry is dependent on its own computing, storage and networking
capabilities. Effective solution for the traditional networking model is Cloud. Cloud computing is on
demand service. Virtualizing network resource for providing users with the required bandwidth and
level of service they expect is the promise of Cloud. There are quite a few cloud service providers who
offer cloud services to manage computing and storage resources. But the IT industry and others have
to pay for the service. Openstack can be

Why Does Jesus Use The Sign Of Jonah
First, his comments from Luke 11:29ff:
When the crowds were increasing, He began to say, This generation is an evil generation, it seeks for a
sign but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah. For as Jonah became a sign to the people
of Nineveh, so will the Son of Man be to this generation...the men of Nineveh will rise up at the
judgement with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and
behold, someone greater than Jonah is here.
We should note that Jesus does not use this occasion to condemn Jonah or praise him. The sign of
Jonah is not said to be his three days and nights in the fish, but rather that he preached God s word to
that generation of Ninevites as Jesus was preaching God s word to His generation. What s more, Jesus

By refraining from making the clear connection between Jonah and the elder son, Jesus may be yet
again be extending one more kindness to Jonah.
Now, some additional observations on Jesus comments concerning Jonah:
Jesus is silent regarding Jonah s aberrant behavior and salvation, probably because, at this point, this
was not His purpose in citing Jonah.
The issue addressed by Jesus was the failure of His Jewish listeners to hear, repent and believe God as
the pagan Ninevites had done.
Jesus was complimenting the Ninevites, not Jonah nor His listeners.
Jesus comparison of Himself to Jonah had to do with their common experience in their call, preaching,
suffering, death (or near death in the case of Jonah) and return to life, rather than a comparison of the
holiness of their character. It must be noted, however, that Jesus does say that He is greater than Jonah.
This, I think, says it all. Although they had some common experiences, in reality, Jesus and Jonah
were miles apart in their embrace of the Father and His loving plan for the

Feminist Sexological Analysis
The field of sexology is extremely valuable and yet often overlooked and taken for granted. Further,
the field of feminist sexology goes unnoticed or is just flat out excluded even more often. This is
certainly no indicator of its importance to society, though. Feminist sexology is vital to countering the
exclusionist approach of traditional sexology and providing new ways of approaching societal systems
and their issues. The poster fair itself was interesting and overall a positive experience in the end.
However, working on the project certainly had its ups and downs for my group and proved to be a
highly exasperating and frustrating process. Sexology as a field is relatively young, having only been
around for less than 200 years, and feminist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to issues with one of the group members keeping bare minimum contact with us while doing the
bare minimum of work, waiting until last minute to tell us he wouldn t make it to meet with us, and
then eventually deciding to drop the class and tell us the day before the poster fair, the project ended
up becoming pretty stressful for both myself and for Taylor. However, as much as group projects can
be stressful and frustrating and this one was for us, I believe the poster fair project is a productive and
positive project for this class because it allows a concentrated mix of ideas and opinions while
working on a project and there s no way to do something like an informational poster fair as an
individual project without requiring significantly more time over the semester. As far as how our
poster turned out, I feel like ours fell short in appearance, layout, and overall cleanliness. I don t feel
like our design was laid out as well as it could have been, though that is partially because we had
originally intended to have another topic of feminist sexology included in the poster which was our
third group member s part demedicalization of women s sexuality and sexual problems. That fact also
made me feel our poster lacked overall flow and, in some ways, information since having only one
issue of feminist sexology seemed like not enough. However, given our circumstances, I am pleased
with what we were able to pull off and make work for our poster and I feel that we fell along the line
with many of the other posters from the other

COMMENTARY TEXT
Proclamation of the Irish Republic, 24 April 1916
Proclamation of the Irish Republic was one of the more important aspects in the Easter Rising. It´s a
historic circumstantial text. In order to maintain secrecy the Proclamation of the Irish Republic was
printed out on a hand press a few hours before the Rising. It was produced in two sections and due to
the shortage of lettering, the letter e had to be improvised, standing out for the rest of the text.
Easter Rising has a special meaning for the Irish people. The Rising was an insurrection located in
Ireland during Easter Week, 1916. It was held by Irish republicans with ... Show more content on

For the insurgents, it was understood that just real independence would give Ireland the happiness and
prosperity of the whole nation and of all its parts . This gives the attempt to independence a triple sight
as political, social and economic change, showing some of the Proclamation´s writers socialist
principles.
The events after the rising would change Ireland forever. Two weeks after the insurrection was over,
all seven writers of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic, Clarke, MacDiarmada, MacDonagh,
Pearse, Ceannt, Connolly, and Plunkett, were executed. Irish and international reaction to this manner
of punishment was horror and disgust. Executions excited a big wave of revulsion against the British
authorities and turned the dead republican leaders into martyred heroes. The Easter Rising signed the
end of British power in Ireland.
The Easter Rising became a turning point in the Irish history. It was the flame for the following
Declaration of Independence of January 21, 1919 and it fractured the Irish politics in
Constitutionalism and Militantism. Sinn Féin, Irish words for Ourselves alone , became the most
influential political party in Ireland. The party was founded in 1905 by Arthur Griffith, a Dublin
journalist. Although Griffith himself did not take part in the Rising, many Sinn Féin members did.
They were also members of the Volunteers and the Irish Republican Brotherhood. After the Rising,

Biography on Charles Dickens
This greatest of Victorian writers was born in Landport, Portsmouth, on February 7, 1812. His father
John worked as a clerk in the Navy Payroll Office in Portsmouth. The elder Dickens was transfered
several times, first to London, then to Chatham, and finally, in 1822, back to London, where the
family lived in Camden Town. John Dickens was constantly in debt, and in 1824 he was imprisoned in
Marshalsea debtor s prison (Southwark). Charles was forced to leave school at the age of 12 and go to
work in a bootblack factory to help support the Dickens family. It was his personal experience of
factory work and the living conditions of the poor that created in Dickens the compassion which was
to mark his literary works such as Oliver Twist. Dickens was released from the purgatory of Warren s
Blacking Factory when his father received a legacy from a relative, and could finally pay his debts and
be set free from Marshalsea. Charles went to Wellington House Academy for two years, then took
work at Gray s Inn as a clerk. Dickens worked as a Parliamentary reporter before finally moving on to
The Morning Chronicle in 1834. His first published work appeared in Monthly Magazine in December
1833, and he followed it with nine more, penning his name as Boz to the last two articles. The
pseudonym Boz was drawn from a pet name for his younger brother when they were children. In 1836
his articles were compiled and published as Sketches by Boz . Shortly after Boz was published,

Why The Bank Of England Introduced A Quantitative Easing...
this essay I will be explaining why the Bank of England introduced a quantitative easing programme
and how it operates as well as explaining the effect this programme has had by evaluating if it has
been successful. My essay is in five sections: what is quantitative easing, when was it used and why,
how does it work, impacts of the programme and finally has it been successful. What is quantitative
easing?
Quantitative easing is increasing the flow of money into the financial system. Money has three
functions:
1. Unit of account
2. Store of value
3. Means of payment
Quantitative easing uses money as a means of payment. It is used as a tool of monetary policy when
the other tool of monetary policy which is interest rate is near zero and not increasing. Monetary
policy concerns the way in which government actions shift how money is used.
When was it used and why?
The Bank of England started to use quantitative easing in early 2009 as an act of loose monetary
policy to boost the economy after the recession of 2008. When economy falls into recession, incomes
fall as unemployment rises this means that the government pays more benefits increasing the budget
deficit. This also means that consumer expenditure decreases as consumptions fall with income
falling.
Therefore the excess expenditure needs to be covered it can be covered by taxes, issuing bonds,
issuing money. Increasing taxes will not work as unemployment has gone up. As well as this
increasing tax will not work

Contrast between Sam and Hally s Father in Athol Fugard s...
Contrast between Sam and Hally s Father in Athol Fugard s Master Harold . . . and the Boys
Any white man is a master of all black men ; the black society is primitive these are some of the ideas
that have been nursed to Hally in South Africa s apartheid society. The question is: are those bigoted
stereotypes true? Of course they are false! In the play Master
Harold and the Boys, Sam is a black man, and Hally s father is a white man. However, Sam s
superiority over Hally s father is obvious through the contrast between their relationships with Hally.
Ironically, it is evident that, most of the time, the relationship between Hally and Sam is closer to a
father son relationship than that between Hally and his father. One ... Show more content on

Moreover, Sam coaches Hally to maturity by encouraging him to do his homework, to excel in exams,
and by engaging in educational conversations with him. I recall the beautiful dance metaphor that Sam
creates and the debate that he has with Hally over influential men in history. In addition, Hally finds
Sam reliable. Even as a young boy, Hally resorts to Sam for help in carrying his unconscious, drunk
father away from the bar s floor and cleaning him from the mess he made in his pants. However, when
Hally s frustration is beyond his ability to control himself, his background compels him to play the
race card against Sam, who could also react in a surprising manner. When Hally tells the racist joke on
niggers arses, Sam responds by lowering his pants and revealing his own arse.
On the contrary, the relationship between Hally and his father is ambivalent. Obviously Hally isn t
close to his father because he wants him to remain in the hospital as much as possible. Hally is also
ashamed of his father and disgusted. Hally hates his father for being a helpless cripple, an addict, and
for being dependant on the family for money. He also notices that his father prefers to read comics
whereas Sam values books such as Julius Caesar. Nevertheless, these obstacles can t seem to
undermine Hally s genuine feeling for his dad.
When Sam reminds Hally of the bar incident, Hally can t resist

Samurai Dbq Essay
Knights are the European warriors that go into battle to protect their kingdom. Meanwhile, samurai
defend and protect Japan and its people. If the two warriors were to go to battle or war, I think that a
samurai would win. While knights and samurai have many similarities, in a one on one battle, the
advantage would be to the samurai t=and this can be seen in the samurai code, armor/training, and
training. The first way that samurais have an advantage is because of their armor. In document D

piece neck guard . The samurai armor had multiple layers to make sure that they are protected and not
easily wounded or killed. Another piece of evidence that supports this claim in in document D written

Automatic Temperature Fan Speed Control
INTRODUCTION: This is a standard circuit which can be used to adjust the brightness of mains
lights and the speed of AC motors. It uses a triac, diac and has a radio frequency interference (RFI)
noise suppression circuit built into it as well. The circuit controls the average power to a load through
the triac by phase control. The AC supply is applied to the load for only a controlled fraction of each
cycle. The triac is held in an OFF condition for a portion of its cycle then is triggered ON at a time
determined by the circuit. Each time the triac is turned on, the load current changes very quickly a few
micro seconds from zero to a value determined by the lamp resistance and the value of the mains
voltage at that instant in time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At this instant in time no current is flowing in either direction. This is the point at which a dimmer is
electronically synchronized to turn the power ON or OFF. By chopping the waveform at the zero
crossing point, smooth dimming can be achieved without the lamp flickering. This turning on and off
of the power device occurs every time the mains crossing point is reached (half phase), 100 or 120
times per second. Typically light dimmers are manufactured using a Triac or Thyristor as the power
control device. These electronic parts are semiconductors not dissimilar to transistors. A Thyristor is a
Uni. directional device and hence, because AC power flows in both directions, two are needed. A triac
is a bidirectional device and therefore only one is needed. An electronic circuit determines the point in
time at which they turn ON (conduct). The ON state continues until the next zero crossing point, at
which point the device turns itself OFF. The electronic circuit then provides a delay, which equates to
the dimness of the lamp, before turning the control device back on. The slight capacitance of the load,
filters the chopped waveform resulting in a smooth light output. Some controllers use a
microprocessor control with the above timing function being handled by an analogue circuit. More
sophisticated systems, called digital dimmers, operate the switching direct from microprocessor. This
has the advantage of greater reliability, quieter operation, lower cost and smaller

However, they are different. Give a definition for each term and describe how they are different.
Weight: The measure of the gravitational pull on an object. Mass: The amount of matter in an object.
Mass and weight are different because your mass will always be the same, but your weight will be
different depending on the amount of gravitational pull on an object. Weight is the measure of
gravitational attraction of an object, while mass is the amount of matter making up an object. Weight
and mass are different because weight changes depending on the gravity pulling on the object. For
example, and object on earth may be 180 lbs. but on the moon they are 30 lbs. Mass on the other hand
does not change because no matter where the object is, it is still made up of the same amount of
matter. Mass is the amount of matter in an object, while weight is the gravitational force on that
object. They are different because if you sky dive, you would be weightless, because gravity is pulling
you down, but not mass less (I think I made that word up :). If you were mass less, you would shrink

Paul Bogard s Argument For The Preservation Of Darkness
In his commentary, Paul Bogard builds an argument for the preservation of natural darkness. He
strongly believes people are overusing artificial luminescence at night, and should reduce their usage
to preserve darkness. To substantiate his opinion, Bogard utilizes factual evidence and appeal to
emotion.
Bogard employs factual evidence as a means of improving his argument. In his second paragraph,
Bogard utilizes evidence provided by the WHO in saying the night shift is a probable human
carcinogen. . . Sleep disorders have been linked to diabetes, obesity, depression. . . one main cause of
short sleep is long light . Bogard emphasizes that as the use of artificial lighting at night increases,

He begins by reminiscing about his childhood spent at a lake, nostalgically speaking of the scenes he
saw in the sky. Later, he says Even the northern lake where I was lucky enough to spend my summers
as seen its darkness diminish . Bogard uses his own past as a means of accessing the reader s past,
forcing him or her to think about how much they value their childhood. By stating how even his
childhood memories are being blown away by artificial lighting, Bogard instills fear that their
memories will face the same fate in the reader. As a result of this fear, the reader is left only to agree
with Bogard. He then goes on to state night s darkness can provide solitude, quiet and stillness. . . In a
world awash with electric light . . . how would Van Gogh have given the world his Starry Night ? As
humans, peace and solitude is an inherent part of who we are; no matter how mush of a social
butterfly we are, quiet is something we all crave. Within this peacefulness, we can get away from the
bustle of life and even find inspiration in darkness much like Van Gogh did. To lose this independence
and quiet would be a shocking blow to everyone, and the reader is convinced by Bogard. Through his
or her own emotions and experiences, the reader is compelled to agree with

I m going to compare the use of the poetic devices to portray fear and confusion in 3 different types of
poems, they are; On the Train by Gillian Clarke, Patrolling Barnegat by Walt Whitman, and the poem
Storm on the Island by the one and only Seamus Heaney. These poems all portray the feeling of
confusion, often it is linked within a theme of some war. Walt Whitman uses some repetition to
enhance the power of the storm he is trying to describe. Wild, Wild the storm, and the sea high

The repetition of the word wild in this line helps to enforce the power of the deadly storm and nature.

The wolves howl into silent telephones Here Gillian Clarke is talking about the people that have lost
someone in the crash. She uses a metaphor of a wolf to describe the people trying to contact their
loved ones, only to get silence, or an answer to voice mail. The use of the word howl is vividly
describing the people crying into the phones, desperate to find out how their friends and family are
doing. Gillian Clarke s use of language helps a lot of people who may not have been in the situation
themselves to understand the emotional distress involved. Also, the one thing people think of when
they think of wolves is their distinctive way of howling, which makes this line even more effective.
Walt Whitman uses Personification numerous amount of times in his poem; his clever use of the
technique helps the reader understand his descriptions more easily.
Shouts of demoniac laughter fitfully piercing and pealing In this Whitman compares a storm to one of
the most fear provoking things possible, the words demoniac laughter instantly make you think of
some sort of an evil being, laughing at some destruction that he has caused. This then ties in with the
theme of the storm being uncontrollable. Walt Whitman also uses personification; he says that the
storm is laughing . Obviously a storm cannot laugh, so Whitman is portraying an assumption that the
way the storm seems to enjoy being totally omnipotent. Also Whitman also uses two

What Is Ole Bull s Influence In American Culture
When Norway became independent in 1814, Danish influence was very prevalent. Norway did not
have its own literature, music or arts. Copenhagen was the center of Scandinavian culture; Norway
merely a country cousin. The violinist Ole Bull helped change this. From Egypt to Italy to the United
States, he traveled throughout the world, giving concerts and carrying abroad pride for his native land.
As Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson spoke at his grave in 1880: Ole Bull became the first and the greatest
festival in this people s life: he gave us self respect, the greatest gift possible at the time...

Wherever he went, he brought with him an air of celebration. His playing was full of energy, charm,

Hegemonic Masculinity And Domestic Violence
The media produces double standards by representing the act of domestic violence among athletes
differently based on the gender of the perpetrator or person committing the crime. Hegemonic
masculinity can best be described as the dominant, privileged, and often invisible category of men at
any point in history. In gender studies, hegemonic masculinity refers to the belief in the existence of a
culturally normative ideal of male behavior. Hegemonic masculinity posits that society strongly
encourages men to embody this kind of masculinity. Hegemonic masculinity is said to be marked by a
tendency for the male to dominate other males and subordinate females. A case can be made for
domestic violence cases in sports. Domestic violence can be used as a way for a male to show his
dominance over females and show other males not to mess with them. Men may come off as more
masculine if they beat on another girl. For females in sports it has been said that a more masculine
side is being brought out through competition. Even though I believe that domestic violence is
portrayed differently compared to male cases, females show their masculinity in different ways.
Hegemonic masculinity can be shown in females and when they use their anger in a violent way it is a
way to show that they can dominate other male or females and make them seem more superior
compared to other around them. In my paper I will be looking at how media effects domestic violence
and how it portrayed differently.

Overview of the Clip about Jim Performing a Prank on...
1. Introduction
Workplace related injuries tend to have far reaching repercussions. The concept of safety is rarely
considered as a strong contributor in elimination of workplace related injuries. The culture of space is
one that involves creation of space that enables individuals to feel and be comfortable, welcome, and
safe. This means that there is no discrimination on grounds of biological sex or sexual orientation,
cultural background, age, physical or mental ability, race, or gender. This work explores the clip where
Jim performs a prank on Dwight in the film The Office. This scene shows unsafe working

This means ensuring that the space created does not have impressions of discrimination on grounds of
sex or sexual orientation, cultural background, age, physical or mental disability, race or gender.
Farley et al. notes that safe space must be free from any form of harassment. This should be indicated
in the company s code of professional conduct in a corporate scenario (1626). Rockstrom and others
emphasize on provision of safe space such that the vulnerable in the society have a sense of belonging.
For instance, the disabled should be able to maneuver throughout any office space to access a region
of interest. This should be integrated in the initial or subsequent office designs to ensure the
vulnerable are accommodated.
Hutter captures workplaces where workers are restricted to working in small spaces (30). In such a
scenario, safety standards should be designed to ensure that workers are not trapped in small spaces or
fall prey of serious safety hazards especially chemical related injuries (Hutter 30). This calls for
integration of proper equipment and tools to ensure that workers are protected (Rockstrom and
Karlberg 259). Rescue procedures should remain sound to ensure fast rescue operations with proper
follow up procedures to improve safety standards whenever flaws are identified. Whenever possible,
regular safety trainings and drills should be conducted to ensure that individuals

Organic Milk Vs Organic Food
Introduction
Milk is a perfect food that is essential for health and proper growth of the human body. It contains
carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, fats, and many vitamins in proper a ratio that is needed for the
development of the human body. In today s society, the emphasis on organic food and conventional
food is quite big. Many say that organic food is much healthier and more nutritious than conventional.
Milk is an important food in many people s diets, it is essentially the food that babies grow up on and
it is important to know what is healthier. It is defined that organic milk comes from cows that have not
been treated with antibiotics and given hormones, and have been fed at least 30% of its diet on
pasture. Conventional milk can be produced the same way, but it does not have to follow the strict
rules. It is important to determine whether organic milk is worth the money and if it is healthier than
conventional milk. Several studies have been analyzed and they split in opinion whether organic milk
is healthier. The studies that support the yes argument, state that organic milk is healthier because it
has higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid and α linolenic acid; of minerals such as selenium; and
the ration of n 6 to n 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids is lower. The studies supporting the no side, state
that it was determined that the abundance of oligosaccharides, the concentration of Vitamin A,
Vitamin E and β carotene, and the levels of estrogen were similar

Michaelangelo, Raphael And Michelangelo s Creation Of God
The Bible, the bestselling book of all time, has made an impact on our society like nothing else. Many
of our ideas and thoughts are either directly or indirectly based on ideas from the Bible but while the
Bible s influence is prominent in society, has it always been for the best? Our views on women are one
of the many things that have been affected due to the Bible, a lot of times negatively. Women
throughout the Bible have been described as either being lesser than men or as the source of evil in
this world. The most obvious instance of this being shown is through the figure of Eve. More times
than not, Eve is blamed for the banishment of mankind from the garden of Eden as she gave a fruit
from the tree of knowledge to Adam and they both consumed it. Due to this, many people see her as
being the devil in disguise and often, many artists choose to depict like that. While many artists
choose to depict Eve as evil, some choose to depict Eve in another way. Michelangelo and Raffaello
Sanzio, known also as Raphael, were two of these types of artists who challenged the existing ideas of
Eve through their art. Both artists were heavily influenced by Leonardo da Vinci, called the treatise of
psychology , who may have taught them to pay close attention the effect the emotions and actions had
on the people in their art, which can be seen throughout the following paintings. Through

The Importance Of Geographic Literacy
Geography, it s not just maps and knowing about landforms. Geography is about a who, what, where,
why and how. It raises awareness of things around the world and provides information about
understanding conflicts and solving them. (Murray, Dr. Matthew) Dr. Edelson points out that, While
the impacts of any particular far reaching decision may be small, the cumulative impact of the
decisions made by millions of people are enormous. ( What is Geo literacy? 2012) Geography is
something all citizens should know about, everyone should be aware of what is happening around
them. The main focus of teaching students how to be geoliterate is so they will know the
consequences resulting from basic decisions. As the curriculum continues to change in schools
throughout the nation, geography has become nonexistent within the classroom. Besides the basic
geographical features, like landforms and oceans, most of this generation knows nothing about
geography. Even sometimes these simple concepts are unreachable for students and many young
adults making them geo illiterate.
Geographic Literacy, as described by Dr. Daniel C. Edelson, has three key concepts; understanding
human and natural systems, geographic reasoning and systematic decision making. He describes a geo
literate student as not only one who understands geography, but one who understands that the Earth is
interconnected and the decisions we make over our lifetime have long lasting effects. They should also
able to comprehend that the relationship between human systems and their interactions and the impact
it puts on our environment. (2012) Another way to describe Geographic Literacy would mean to be
better equipped to better understand the complexity of the world, how our decisions affect others, and
the interconnectedness of this rich, diverse, and not so large world. It means that one should know
what the effects are of the decisions we make daily. (Baskerville, Brian) Regardless of if the decision
is where to live or
Herring 2 how to prepare for natural disasters, everyone makes decisions throughout their lifetime that
requires geo literacy. ( What is Geo Literacy? ) Whether these decisions are riding a bike or driving a

Celiac Disease Business Plan
Meal Plan: Breakfast: 1 Hardboiled egg, 2 gluten free bread slices, 1 banana Snack: 1 Orange, grapes
Lunch: steamed fish, potato salad, broccoli Snack: peanuts and raisins Dinner: roast chicken breast,
lettuce, gluten free pasta
Avoid: vegetable starch, brewer s yeast, cake, bleached flour, malty beverages, Graham crackers,
regular pasta, regular bread, oats, pizza.(2)
The meal plan doesn t stray far from the normal family diet it is healthy, and delicious even for
children. Celiac disease is a digestive disorder that causes people to have problems consuming foods
containing the protein gluten. It causes damage to their small intestine and may lead to other illnesses.
Because of this people with celiac disease have to avoid eating foods made from the grains wheat, rye,
barley and triticale because they all contain the protein gluten.(3) In addition people with celiac
disease have to avoid foods that may have been manufactured, processed or mixed with any gluten
which is why it is not a surprise that oats falls on the list of foods to avoid as oats are often harvested
and stored or processed in the same facilities and machines as wheat we have to look specifically for
gluten free oats. Baked products containing bleached flour, graham flour or yeast also often contain
gluten. Wheat allergy and gluten sensitivity are different from celiac disease which is a genetic,
autoimmune digestive disorder where when the body tries to digest gluten it induces damage to the
small intestine. Non celiac gluten sensitivity, because celiac disease is a type of gluten sensitivity, on
the other hand is where the body is intolerant to gluten but no small intestine damage occurs while
wheat allergy is where the body rejects gluten and other components of wheat, so we can see that they

Dna And Tissue Extraction Kit Essay
In this study we extensively extracted deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) from an unidentified segment of
flesh distributed amongst different lab groups. In order to do this, we dissolved the tissues and
extracted only the genetic material desired using the Qiagen DNeasy Blood Tissue extraction kit. We
then used forensic methods of genome identification in order to determine the genus and species of the
animal These methods include gel electrophoresis, Polymerase Chain Reaction, and Cycle Sequencing
Reactions. After isolating the DNA, we gathered electropherograms from the CSRs to determine the
nitrogenous base frequencies of the extracted sample using a genome alignment software program
called GENEIOUS. Using this aligned data, we compared the results to the online genome index
GenBank using the Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST).
After analyzing the results of the alignment programs and the genome index, I determined the genus
and species of my group s sample as being Crotalus durissus, a pit viper located in Southern and
Central America. This data was determined with an E value of 2 x 10^ 5 and was taken from the
mitochondrial gene with a 97% accuracy match out of 187 nitrogenous base groups.

Lipomas represent about 1 to 4% of all neoplasms of the oral cavity. They mostly present as slow
growing, asymptomatic lesions with a characteristic yellowish colour soft and doughy feel. 0ral

National Security Requires a Clear Acknowledgement of the...
Introduction
To succeed, we must face the world as it is (Obama, 2010, p.1). Globalization has resulted in
interconnecting the world in such a manner that was unimaginable even two decades ago. No longer
can any state, nation, or people expect to remain an island. Indeed, as we are interconnected, so too are
our fates. If the United States is to ensure security and prosperity for her citizens now and for future
generations, we must clearly acknowledge that part we play in the continuum of shifting word powers
and peace. We must recognize that although we are the world s leading power, we are not the sole
possessor and arbiter of influence.
The nuclear arms race of the Cold War years has given way to a race for building alliances in this age
of globalization. If we are to be successful in our pursuit of a more peaceful and sustainable world
order, we must be cognizant of the opportunities to help fledgeling democracies take root. As well, we
must be aware of the more nefarious motives of nations for whom state intervention is merely a thin
veil for imperialistic ambitions. With this, we consider the recent events in Ukraine and its impact on
our national security.

Her father s lack of attention has also likely influences Vada s misconceptions about death; his
response to Vada s question about whether a particularly small casket is for a child is no , that it is
simply for short people. Furthermore, when
Vada feigns dying one night at dinner, her father s reaction is to ignore her rather than talk to her about
what the real issue is. Behavior such as this might be viewed as both a lack of understanding about
death as well as an attempt to get attention that is so obviously absent. Vada s father s lack of attention
to his daughter s needs is similarly illustrated in the fact that when Vada starts her period, she believes
she is haemorrhaging; he has not adequately educated her on the normal bodily changes that are
unrelated to death, nor on the subject of death itself. A related important event in this movie is the
quick engagement of Vada s father. Vada reacts to this news negatively, recruiting Thomas Jay to run
away with her, and eventually returning to find that no one has even noticed her absence which only
frustrates her further. Vada, who has never seen her father as a particularly happy person, suddenly
sees a change in his demeanor when he meets and starts dating Shelly; for Vada, this translates to her
inability to make her father happy, that she is unneeded, and that she was not

The first element states that a motivated offender is needed in order for the crime to occur and this is
an essential component because someone needs to offend in order to make the crime happen (Cohen et

individual who is willing to do something that is illegal such as rob a home. The second element

something expensive (Cohen et al., 1979). A suitable target can be seen as something acceptable to the

The Severing Nature Of Sin In Jenson s View Of God
Like any relationship, the relationship between God and his people requires input from both parties.
One of the ways to positively engage in the relationship is through prayer, however, one of the ways to
both actively and negatively engage in this relationship is through sin. Many historical and social
developments have shifted sin into the realm of ethics, however, for Jenson, it is a theological concept.
It is a theological concept in the sense that it relates to the active relationship between man and God,
which stems precisely from being made in the image of God. As a result, sin is what breaks up this
active relationship and community that God has established. Jenson achieves this conception of sin by
once again analyzing God s identity in scripture, specifically his active ... Show more content on

Sin is not only the rejection of one s relationship with god, but a rejection of one s relationship to other
human beings as well. The aforementioned good moral life is not an individual goal that is separate
from God or other human beings, it is a collective goal that forms a community that this sin destroys.
The severing nature of sin stems directly from the story of Adam and Eve: their betrayal of God
through manifests itself in original sin and relationship severing consequences, there is a division
between humans, in which the woman is directed to be ruled by the husband, and a division between
man and God, in which the people are banished from the garden of Eden and its many blessings.
However, sin is only a rupture, not a complete dissolution, of one s relationship with God and thus, it
is mendable and redeemable. Jenson states that what reunites us with God is not any of our particular
works or actions, rather what unites us with God is our trust in what happens in Christ. It is precisely
this faith and only this faith, this trust, that touches our lives to the divine drama (Jenson

Allusions Of The Serpent
The bible can be seen as a great piece of literature, one which many people will recognize if there are
references to it in modern day books, movies, and even music. One of the major topics for allusions is
the Serpent. Most commonly known for his role in the story of Adam and Eve the serpent is sly,
cunning, and deceivingly tricky. Authors allude to the Serpent if they want to characterize a character
as evil or devious. They may also use this allusion to advance a theme as to not trust everyone you
meet or temptation may be your downfall. They can use it to create other moods such as suspenseful
ones, or even sad ones if the reader knows that the fall of the character is coming. All of these things

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made
(English Standard Version Bible, Gn. 3:1). In this quote, the reader can infer that the Serpent is sly,

He said to the woman, Did God actually say You shall not eat of any tree in the garden ? . . . But the
serpent said to the woman, You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes
will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. (Gn. 3:2 6) This quote shows the
actual tempting that the Serpent did to get Adam and Eve to eat the fruit.

The Negative Impact Of Women In Modern Civilization
Civilization affected various groups such as women in many diverse ways that had caused a negative
impact on civilization. Women in ancient civilization industrialized negatively due to the lack of
respect women had gotten from men. The thought women had gotten from the males was that their
only purpose in life was to be the mother; only seen, not heard for both women and children. To show
that women and their children had no freedom, independence, and were considered a property of the
male: 210. If a woman should die, they shall kill his daughter ( FROM The Code of Hammurabi 23).
By men treating women as if they had no freedom, independence, and were the property of the men
they negatively influence the development of civilization for women by making it more difficult for
their civilization to expand. Women were the property of the men since men thought women were
incompetent of doing anything on their own. While analyzing The Code of Hammurabi, nearby were
many references that women might not be anybody without a man in their lives. Nonetheless, referring
to women as being the property of the men, women might not get recognized until doing the
following: 128. If a man marries a wife but does not draw up a formal contract for her, she is not a
wife. ( FROM The Code of Hammurabi 20). Women did not even have a choice when getting married
or whom they determined to marry. Women in civilization did not have a choice at all of what they

questions that were never thought of. However, the down side to this is being forceful is hard to

score just was elevated for me, right now I have to be cultural at this point in my life for the things that

Southwest Airlines
Introduction
The domestic US airline industry has been intensely competitive since it was deregulated in 1978. In a
regulated environment, most of the cost increases were passed along to consumers under a fixed rate
of return based pricing scheme. This allowed labor unions to acquire a lot of power and workers at the
major incumbent carriers were overpaid. After deregulation, the incumbent carriers felt the most pain,
and the floodgates had opened for newer more nimble carriers with lower cost structures to compete
head on with the established airlines. There were several bankruptcies followed by a wave of
consolidation with the fittest carriers surviving and the rest being ... Show more content on

The minimum efficient scale was not very high since airlines could choose to compete in a few
markets, and costs were more or less proportional to the number of flights offered and the number of
markets the airline wanted to operate in. The main consideration for profitable entry seemed to be the
ability of airlines to fill their airplanes above the breakeven point. In an industry fraught with price
competition, brand identity and reputation did not have significant value either. In the airline industry,
exit costs are not very high either. Planes could be easily redeployed to other markets, or sold off, and
gates and landing rights could be sub leased to other carriers.
Substitutes
There are a number of substitutes to air travel, especially over short distances. These include taking
other modes of transportation such as driving, taking the train etc., or not traveling at all. The use of
technology (like WebEx, NetMeeting, video conferencing etc.) that facilitates remote virtual
collaboration is becoming a good substitute for business air travel as well.
Supplier Power
The primary inputs to the airline industry include airplanes, labor and fuel. There are only two major
manufacturers (three at the time of the case Boeing, Airbus and McDonnell Douglas) for large
commercial aircraft. This, along with the relationship specific

the show, he did tell her he was thinking about going, but he wanted to meet Jen Saviano. Amanda
went into this show knowing that Nick had his eye on someone else. They had a nice date together, but
Stanton didn t feel the sparks with him. Amanda shared that if the cameras were not on them, then

the cameras, I know she s with Josh right now. But, I want to do something where it s like, Hey, here I
am. Maybe there s something inside of you that says, I really like this guy. It will be interesting to see
if Amanda Stanton is even willing to give Evan Bass a chance. So far, it looks like Josh Murray is her
man and she won t be moving on to someone new this season. Regardless, it is going to be great to
watch it all go down. Are you shocked to hear that Amanda Stanton and Nick Viall made a mutual

Social Inequalities Within New Zealand Essay
This essay will be discussing the social inequalities within New Zealand. These inequalities can
include unequal income, education and healthcare. Through extensive research of academic resources,
I will be discussing how educational, family, social and political factors contribute to the development
of these inequalities. I will also be providing a line graph that shows the unequal income between
classes and a second line graph that demonstrates the difference in student success between high
decile and low decile schools.
Society holds many structures that mould human performance and produce opportunities for some, but
inequalities for others (Morrall, 2009). These structures in society are organized by the hierarchies of
class, ethnicity and gender (Crossman, 2016). Due to having a society based on hierarchies, social
inequalities are inevitable. Social inequality refers to the ways in which a group or individual of a
certain social position may receive unequal opportunities or distribution of goods such as education,
income, living conditions and healthcare (Walker, 2009). These unequal opportunities may be given to
someone because of their ethnicity, gender, income, religion or social class (Walker, 2009). For
example, people in a high social class will be able to pay for their children to go to a good private
school for a good education, whereas lower class or working class people will struggle to afford the
same education.

Augusto Pinochet And Fidel Castro
Selbin identifies the most important part of a social revolution is the transformation of the society that
is broken up into two parts consolidation and institutionalization of a country (Selbin 13). Augusto
Pinochet and Fidel Castro both tried to succeed in these aspects, but both had success in areas but also
failures in others. Their rise to power, reign and their political ideology separated them on a
fundamental level, but they did have some similarities. The biggest difference between the two
dictatorships was their visions for their country. Pinochet was a neoliberalist were as Castro was a
communist which caused them have slightly different views on how to run their country. Pinochet,

Though their political ideology differed both dictators saw their previous structures had failed them.
Another difference between the two was the support or lack of support from the United States.
Pinochet s need to identify himself as an anti communist was quite different than that of Fidel Castro
and the deciding factor on how the United States interfered with who at the beginning did not
associate with that communist ideology until he was near power and no longer saw any ally in the
United States, but the communist Soviet Union. The United States used a very military hand in trying
to stop the Cuban Revolution. In one instance, in 1961, the United States trained Cuban exiles to try to
overthrow the Castro regime, this is known as the Bay of Pigs. The Bay of Pigs did turn out to be a
failed attempt to over throw Castro. The United States did not stop there. They used any means
possible to try and hurt the countries ability
With Pinochet s rejection of communist thinking he was able to obtain the backing of the United
States which was a key difference in his ability to come to power in his country. This in comparison
with Castro and the hard hand that the United States used to try to make crush Castro s reign in Cuba.

The New Testament Gospel By Matthew, Mark, Luke And John Form
The four New Testament gospel books, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John form a conclusive and
powerful portrait of Jesus Christ as the sent son of God. The four books are not in any way explaining
the biography of Christ s complete life, but rather trying to give the fundamental truth of Christianity,
the great truths of the gospel and who Jesus really is. Each of the named gospel writers gives a clear
and personal perspective of Christ as guided by the Holy Ghost and the themes that correspond to
Jesus. With the exception of the gospel written by John, the other three give some considerable
presentation of well known and familiar accounts and teachings only to be underscored by the distinct
teachings and accounts that support their complete thoughts. These thoughts by the three writers are
brought to a conclusion by John the Apostle, who interprets the life of Jesus by emphasizing his
personhood. Though many writers describe Jesus differently, we will always come to the conclusion
that he is God in flesh.
In Matthew Jesus is portrayed as the Jewish light this is where Jesus was emphasizes the importance
of the Jewish law to his people. Also, Jesus is the authoritative teacher and the king of the Jews. Also,
Matthew clearly points to Jesus divinity since only God can change the laws that he had given to the
people. The gospel of Matthew, Matthew s gospel, is the first book of the four gospels and also the
first book of the New Testament. Matthew s writings are symbolized by an

The History Of Medgar Evers And The Civil Rights Movement
Revolution, a sudden, complete or marked change in something (Dictionary.com). The Civil Rights
Movement sparked a reaction in the country. The idea of allowing African Americans full rights and
privileges left white Americans to brutalize and discriminate. In 1954, Medgar Evers became the first
state field secretary of the NAACP in Mississippi. He was a civil rights activist that fought to end the
racial injustice he experienced growing up in the South. (Biography.com). He was later murdered by a
member of the KKK, but died in the fight for freedom. It takes people to believe, to follow, and to
start a revolution.
Medgar Evers had a big role in the Civil Rights Movement. Evers also led demonstrations and
economic boycotts of white owned companies that practiced discrimination . He stimulated a drive in
others a part of NAACP to end intolerance and defeat injustice. (Biography.com). By Medgar and his
proposition, he showed other African Americans light through hatred. Evers fought against
discrimination to prove he can be just like the others. While he failed to gain admission to the law
school, Evers managed to raise his profile with the NAACP. After working with the NAACP, he
brought up a case to the Supreme Court Brown v. Board of Education case , which help end
segregation issues throughout schools. (Biography.com). Medgar Evers was part of the revolution to
end discrimination and injustice for all.
Under those circumstances, Evers life was sadly cut short.

Outsiders In The Outsider
Things are rough all over. (Hinton 35) Ponyboy Curtis says this in the book The Outsiders by S.E.
Hinton. An outsider is someone who is different or doesn t fit in in a certain way, which is why Hinton
never emphasizes who the outsiders are; readers can interpret this book and the outsiders in their own
way because Hinton proves that everyone is an outsider in their own manner. While it can be argued
that every character is an outsider, the main outsiders in this book are Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade,
and Cherry Valance. In a neighborhood of Greasers and Socs, Ponyboy Curtis is a part of a gang on
the greaser side. This gang consists of Ponyboy, obviously, Johnny Johnnycake Cade, Darrel Darry
Curtis, Sodapop Curtis, Keith Two Bit Mathews, Dallas Dally Winston, and Steve Randle. Although
they re all bonded by their grease, Ponyboy does not completely fit in with the rest. [Ponyboy] liked

little details, but Ponyboy Curtis does. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is like Ponyboy in the sense of enjoying small things, but in different ways. Useless... fighting s no
good.... (Hinton 148) Johnny comes to this realization and says this because he doesn t believe in
fighting. He sees no reason in it and definitely does not find joy in it like the rest of the greasers. The
average greaser finds happiness in violence and dirtiness, (as Cherry Valance, a Soc, says) but Johnny
Cade is able to find comfort in cleaner, gentler things, such as sunsets, poems, and reading. One of the
main moments where Johnny shows this is when he talks about a sunset and says, The mist was what
was pretty...All gold and silver. (Hinton 66). He is very quiet and preserved, which is why the gang
treats him as the pet. Although he and Ponyboy share the idea of loving these things, Johnny loves
them in his own way and finds the deeper meaning in

American Gender Roles
The social and cultural meanings attached to women and men refers to gender. In a way of organizing
social life, gender has been a way to divide labor and assign roles in our social and economic society.
Gender divisions make women and men unequal (Zinn, 2011: 173).
Gender roles and associated stereotypes describe differences between men and women, and prescribe
how they should behave in social and occupational settings (Eagly and Mitchell 2004) (Reilly and
Neumann 2013).
In a family, traditional gender roles view men as the breadwinner as the women played the domestic
role. Patriarchy is the term used for forms of social organization in which men are dominate over
women (Zinn, 2011: 175). In a private patriarchy, there is a male dominance role in the interpersonal
relation with a woman whereas in larger institutions, public patriarchy is seen.
Colonial America and the Emerging Modern Family Gender Roles.
In Colonial America, the godly family was seen as a patriarchal institution ruled by the father (Zinn,
2011: 37) and marriages were based on social and economic considerations, a more public patriarchy.
We have discussed our observations in our class sessions that men were the sole authority figures in
the family. They were responsible for the welfare of the family. Women were expected to help their
husbands and their majority of labor work was inside the home. The household was the basic
economic agricultural setting where goods were created, owned, and

Analysis of Vindication of the Rights for Women by Mary...
A wise man once said Man is only great when he acts from passion. When you hear the word passion,
the first thing that might come to your mind is something related to love, and you re not entirely
wrong. According to Merriam Webster s dictionary, passion is defined as a strong feeling of
enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something or a strong feeling (such as anger)
that causes you to act in a dangerous way. All in all, it is a strong feeling, be it happiness, sadness,
anger or liberality. You can be passionate about many things such as love, sports, food, or intimacy.
However, it can also mean having a strong yearning for something. Vindication of the Rights for
Women by Mary Wollstonecraft was published in 1792, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout her manifesto, Wollstonecraft points out that if women were only taught to please men on
a daily basis, men would grow tired causing the women to cheat. She also points out renowned writers
such as Jean Jacques Rousseau. Ten years before this, Jean Jacques Rousseau had published his tell all
called Confessions. This was during the Romanticism period, a period where there was rejection of
rationality and reason while in favor of feelings. There was more emphasis on subjectivity, the way the
individual perceives their experience. From reading Vindication, you understand why Wollstonecraft
wrote this. She claims that Rousseau s view towards women were very double standard. He states that
Women are smaller compared to men, both in their physical frame and mental frame. So because of
that, they should all be submissive towards men. Thus, the prejudice of women being the weak and
sensitive sex prevails. Both men and women, live their lives believing that women are weak minded.
At an early age society teaches that a woman s mind is weaker than a man s mind, justifying it with
the fact that a woman s body is weaker than that of a man s. This conclusion seems fully plausible,
however if investigated further, one will find that that is not the case. A woman s mind is as fully
capable of reason as a man s mind. Wollstonecraft had two options to pick from. Either start a
revolution in regards to women rights and allowing them to be equal or to skillfully inject the

  • 2. What Is Openstack And Its Importance Service Providers and enterprises need to ensure that their networks remain a relevant and important part of users everyday experience, and deliver added value in new and unique ways. How new technologies like cloud, Software Defined Networking (SDN) will help them do this and efficient management across network resources and cloud application. In this paper we have talked about what is Openstack and its importance and briefly explored three major Openstack projects Compute, Storage and Network and discussed their capabilities. Secondly we have mentioned three different approaches of SDN Cloud convergence. How SDN proves useful in cloud environment and achieve high flexibility and higher innovation. The also paper presents an alternate architecture that combines SDN and Cloud Architecture. 1. Introduction: Traditional network model requires tremendous commitment of hardware resources, dedicated budgets along with managing On premise datacentre. The enterprise or the IT industry is dependent on its own computing, storage and networking capabilities. Effective solution for the traditional networking model is Cloud. Cloud computing is on demand service. Virtualizing network resource for providing users with the required bandwidth and level of service they expect is the promise of Cloud. There are quite a few cloud service providers who offer cloud services to manage computing and storage resources. But the IT industry and others have to pay for the service. Openstack can be ... Why Does Jesus Use The Sign Of Jonah First, his comments from Luke 11:29ff: When the crowds were increasing, He began to say, This generation is an evil generation, it seeks for a sign but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah. For as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so will the Son of Man be to this generation...the men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgement with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, someone greater than Jonah is here. We should note that Jesus does not use this occasion to condemn Jonah or praise him. The sign of Jonah is not said to be his three days and nights in the fish, but rather that he preached God s word to that generation of Ninevites as Jesus was preaching God s word to His generation. What s more, Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By refraining from making the clear connection between Jonah and the elder son, Jesus may be yet again be extending one more kindness to Jonah. Now, some additional observations on Jesus comments concerning Jonah: Jesus is silent regarding Jonah s aberrant behavior and salvation, probably because, at this point, this was not His purpose in citing Jonah. The issue addressed by Jesus was the failure of His Jewish listeners to hear, repent and believe God as the pagan Ninevites had done. Jesus was complimenting the Ninevites, not Jonah nor His listeners. Jesus comparison of Himself to Jonah had to do with their common experience in their call, preaching, suffering, death (or near death in the case of Jonah) and return to life, rather than a comparison of the holiness of their character. It must be noted, however, that Jesus does say that He is greater than Jonah. This, I think, says it all. Although they had some common experiences, in reality, Jesus and Jonah were miles apart in their embrace of the Father and His loving plan for the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Feminist Sexological Analysis The field of sexology is extremely valuable and yet often overlooked and taken for granted. Further, the field of feminist sexology goes unnoticed or is just flat out excluded even more often. This is certainly no indicator of its importance to society, though. Feminist sexology is vital to countering the exclusionist approach of traditional sexology and providing new ways of approaching societal systems and their issues. The poster fair itself was interesting and overall a positive experience in the end. However, working on the project certainly had its ups and downs for my group and proved to be a highly exasperating and frustrating process. Due to issues with one of the group members keeping bare minimum contact with us while doing the bare minimum of work, waiting until last minute to tell us he wouldn t make it to meet with us, and then eventually deciding to drop the class and tell us the day before the poster fair, the project ended up becoming pretty stressful for both myself and for Taylor. However, as much as group projects can be stressful and frustrating and this one was for us, I believe the poster fair project is a productive and positive project for this class because it allows a concentrated mix of ideas and opinions while working on a project and there s no way to do something like an informational poster fair as an individual project without requiring significantly more time over the semester. As far as how our poster turned out, I feel like ours fell short in appearance, layout, and overall cleanliness. I don t feel like our design was laid out as well as it could have been, though that is partially because we had originally intended to have another topic of feminist sexology included in the poster which was our third group member s part demedicalization of women s sexuality and sexual problems. That fact also made me feel our poster lacked overall flow and, in some ways, information since having only one issue of feminist sexology seemed like not enough. However, given our circumstances, I am pleased with what we were able to pull off and make work for our poster and I feel that we fell along the line with many of the other posters from the other ... Proclamation of the Irish Republic RAÚL MUÑOZ RODRÍGUEZ CORREO E: irokuoiraul@yahoo.es rmunoz62@alumno.uned.es COMMENTARY TEXT Proclamation of the Irish Republic, 24 April 1916 Proclamation of the Irish Republic was one of the more important aspects in the Easter Rising. It´s a historic circumstantial text. In order to maintain secrecy the Proclamation of the Irish Republic was printed out on a hand press a few hours before the Rising. It was produced in two sections and due to the shortage of lettering, the letter e had to be improvised, standing out for the rest of the text. Easter Rising has a special meaning for the Irish people. The Rising was an insurrection located in Ireland during Easter Week, 1916. It was held by Irish republicans with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the insurgents, it was understood that just real independence would give Ireland the happiness and prosperity of the whole nation and of all its parts . This gives the attempt to independence a triple sight as political, social and economic change, showing some of the Proclamation´s writers socialist principles. The events after the rising would change Ireland forever. Two weeks after the insurrection was over, all seven writers of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic, Clarke, MacDiarmada, MacDonagh, Pearse, Ceannt, Connolly, and Plunkett, were executed. Irish and international reaction to this manner of punishment was horror and disgust. Executions excited a big wave of revulsion against the British authorities and turned the dead republican leaders into martyred heroes. The Easter Rising signed the end of British power in Ireland. The Easter Rising became a turning point in the Irish history. It was the flame for the following Declaration of Independence of January 21, 1919 and it fractured the Irish politics in Constitutionalism and Militantism. Sinn Féin, Irish words for Ourselves alone , became the most influential political party in Ireland. The party was founded in 1905 by Arthur Griffith, a Dublin journalist. • 8. Biography on Charles Dickens This greatest of Victorian writers was born in Landport, Portsmouth, on February 7, 1812. His father John worked as a clerk in the Navy Payroll Office in Portsmouth. The elder Dickens was transfered several times, first to London, then to Chatham, and finally, in 1822, back to London, where the family lived in Camden Town. John Dickens was constantly in debt, and in 1824 he was imprisoned in Marshalsea debtor s prison (Southwark). Charles was forced to leave school at the age of 12 and go to work in a bootblack factory to help support the Dickens family. It was his personal experience of factory work and the living conditions of the poor that created in Dickens the compassion which was to mark his literary works such as Oliver Twist. Dickens was released from the purgatory of Warren s Blacking Factory when his father received a legacy from a relative, and could finally pay his debts and be set free from Marshalsea. Charles went to Wellington House Academy for two years, then took work at Gray s Inn as a clerk. Dickens worked as a Parliamentary reporter before finally moving on to The Morning Chronicle in 1834. His first published work appeared in Monthly Magazine in December 1833, and he followed it with nine more, penning his name as Boz to the last two articles. The pseudonym Boz was drawn from a pet name for his younger brother when they were children. In 1836 his articles were compiled and published as Sketches by Boz . • 10. Why The Bank Of England Introduced A Quantitative Easing... this essay I will be explaining why the Bank of England introduced a quantitative easing programme and how it operates as well as explaining the effect this programme has had by evaluating if it has been successful. My essay is in five sections: what is quantitative easing, when was it used and why, how does it work, impacts of the programme and finally has it been successful. What is quantitative easing? Quantitative easing is increasing the flow of money into the financial system. Money has three functions: 1. Unit of account 2. Store of value 3. Means of payment Quantitative easing uses money as a means of payment. It is used as a tool of monetary policy when the other tool of monetary policy which is interest rate is near zero and not increasing. Monetary policy concerns the way in which government actions shift how money is used. When was it used and why? The Bank of England started to use quantitative easing in early 2009 as an act of loose monetary policy to boost the economy after the recession of 2008. When economy falls into recession, incomes fall as unemployment rises this means that the government pays more benefits increasing the budget deficit. This also means that consumer expenditure decreases as consumptions fall with income falling. Therefore the excess expenditure needs to be covered it can be covered by taxes, issuing bonds, issuing money. Increasing taxes will not work as unemployment has gone up. As well as this increasing tax will not work ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Contrast between Sam and Hally s Father in Athol Fugard s Master Harold . . . and the Boys Any white man is a master of all black men ; the black society is primitive these are some of the ideas that have been nursed to Hally in South Africa s apartheid society. The question is: are those bigoted stereotypes true? Of course they are false! In the play Master Harold and the Boys, Sam is a black man, and Hally s father is a white man. However, Sam s superiority over Hally s father is obvious through the contrast between their relationships with Hally. Even as a young boy, Hally resorts to Sam for help in carrying his unconscious, drunk father away from the bar s floor and cleaning him from the mess he made in his pants. However, when Hally s frustration is beyond his ability to control himself, his background compels him to play the race card against Sam, who could also react in a surprising manner. When Hally tells the racist joke on niggers arses, Sam responds by lowering his pants and revealing his own arse. On the contrary, the relationship between Hally and his father is ambivalent. Obviously Hally isn t close to his father because he wants him to remain in the hospital as much as possible. Hally is also ashamed of his father and disgusted. Hally hates his father for being a helpless cripple, an addict, and for being dependant on the family for money. • 14. Automatic Temperature Fan Speed Control INTRODUCTION: This is a standard circuit which can be used to adjust the brightness of mains lights and the speed of AC motors. It uses a triac, diac and has a radio frequency interference (RFI) noise suppression circuit built into it as well. The circuit controls the average power to a load through the triac by phase control. The AC supply is applied to the load for only a controlled fraction of each cycle. The triac is held in an OFF condition for a portion of its cycle then is triggered ON at a time determined by the circuit. Each time the triac is turned on, the load current changes very quickly a few micro seconds from zero to a value determined by the lamp resistance and the value of the mains voltage at that instant in time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At this instant in time no current is flowing in either direction. This is the point at which a dimmer is electronically synchronized to turn the power ON or OFF. By chopping the waveform at the zero crossing point, smooth dimming can be achieved without the lamp flickering. This turning on and off of the power device occurs every time the mains crossing point is reached (half phase), 100 or 120 times per second. Typically light dimmers are manufactured using a Triac or Thyristor as the power control device. These electronic parts are semiconductors not dissimilar to transistors. A Thyristor is a Uni. directional device and hence, because AC power flows in both directions, two are needed. A triac is a bidirectional device and therefore only one is needed. An electronic circuit determines the point in time at which they turn ON (conduct). The ON state continues until the next zero crossing point, at which point the device turns itself OFF. The electronic circuit then provides a delay, which equates to the dimness of the lamp, before turning the control device back on. The slight capacitance of the load, filters the chopped waveform resulting in a smooth light output. Some controllers use a microprocessor control with the above timing function being handled by an analogue circuit. More sophisticated systems, called digital dimmers, operate the switching direct from microprocessor. This has the advantage of greater reliability, quieter operation, lower cost and smaller ... Weight is the measure of gravitational attraction of an object, while mass is the amount of matter making up an object. Weight and mass are different because weight changes depending on the gravity pulling on the object. For example, and object on earth may be 180 lbs. but on the moon they are 30 lbs. Mass on the other hand does not change because no matter where the object is, it is still made up of the same amount of matter. Mass is the amount of matter in an object, while weight is the gravitational force on that object. They are different because if you sky dive, you would be weightless, because gravity is pulling you down, but not mass less (I think I made that word up :). If you were mass less, you would shrink down to nothing because all of the matter in you would be gone. Explanation These desricbed the meaning of each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He strongly believes people are overusing artificial luminescence at night, and should reduce their usage to preserve darkness. To substantiate his opinion, Bogard utilizes factual evidence and appeal to emotion. Bogard employs factual evidence as a means of improving his argument. In his second paragraph, Bogard utilizes evidence provided by the WHO in saying the night shift is a probable human carcinogen. . . He begins by reminiscing about his childhood spent at a lake, nostalgically speaking of the scenes he saw in the sky. Later, he says Even the northern lake where I was lucky enough to spend my summers as seen its darkness diminish . Bogard uses his own past as a means of accessing the reader s past, forcing him or her to think about how much they value their childhood. By stating how even his childhood memories are being blown away by artificial lighting, Bogard instills fear that their memories will face the same fate in the reader. As a result of this fear, the reader is left only to agree with Bogard. He then goes on to state night s darkness can provide solitude, quiet and stillness. . . In a world awash with electric light . . . how would Van Gogh have given the world his Starry Night ? As humans, peace and solitude is an inherent part of who we are; no matter how mush of a social butterfly we are, quiet is something we all crave. I m going to compare the use of the poetic devices to portray fear and confusion in 3 different types of poems, they are; On the Train by Gillian Clarke, Patrolling Barnegat by Walt Whitman, and the poem Storm on the Island by the one and only Seamus Heaney. These poems all portray the feeling of confusion, often it is linked within a theme of some war. Walt Whitman uses some repetition to enhance the power of the storm he is trying to describe. Wild, Wild the storm, and the sea high running The repetition of the word wild in this line helps to enforce the power of the deadly storm and nature. The wolves howl into silent telephones Here Gillian Clarke is talking about the people that have lost someone in the crash. She uses a metaphor of a wolf to describe the people trying to contact their loved ones, only to get silence, or an answer to voice mail. The use of the word howl is vividly describing the people crying into the phones, desperate to find out how their friends and family are doing. Gillian Clarke s use of language helps a lot of people who may not have been in the situation themselves to understand the emotional distress involved. Also, the one thing people think of when they think of wolves is their distinctive way of howling, which makes this line even more effective. Walt Whitman uses Personification numerous amount of times in his poem; his clever use of the technique helps the reader understand his descriptions more easily. Shouts of demoniac laughter fitfully piercing and pealing In this Whitman compares a storm to one of the most fear provoking things possible, the words demoniac laughter instantly make you think of some sort of an evil being, laughing at some destruction that he has caused. This then ties in with the theme of the storm being uncontrollable. Walt Whitman also uses personification; he says that the storm is laughing . • 21. Hegemonic Masculinity And Domestic Violence The media produces double standards by representing the act of domestic violence among athletes differently based on the gender of the perpetrator or person committing the crime. Hegemonic masculinity can best be described as the dominant, privileged, and often invisible category of men at any point in history. In gender studies, hegemonic masculinity refers to the belief in the existence of a culturally normative ideal of male behavior. Hegemonic masculinity posits that society strongly encourages men to embody this kind of masculinity. Hegemonic masculinity is said to be marked by a tendency for the male to dominate other males and subordinate females. A case can be made for domestic violence cases in sports. Domestic violence can be used as a way for a male to show his dominance over females and show other males not to mess with them. Men may come off as more masculine if they beat on another girl. For females in sports it has been said that a more masculine side is being brought out through competition. Even though I believe that domestic violence is portrayed differently compared to male cases, females show their masculinity in different ways. Hegemonic masculinity can be shown in females and when they use their anger in a violent way it is a way to show that they can dominate other male or females and make them seem more superior compared to other around them. In my paper I will be looking at how media effects domestic violence and how it portrayed differently. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many of our ideas and thoughts are either directly or indirectly based on ideas from the Bible but while the Bible s influence is prominent in society, has it always been for the best? Our views on women are one of the many things that have been affected due to the Bible, a lot of times negatively. Women throughout the Bible have been described as either being lesser than men or as the source of evil in this world. The most obvious instance of this being shown is through the figure of Eve. More times than not, Eve is blamed for the banishment of mankind from the garden of Eden as she gave a fruit from the tree of knowledge to Adam and they both consumed it. Due to this, many people see her as being the devil in disguise and often, many artists choose to depict like that. While many artists choose to depict Eve as evil, some choose to depict Eve in another way. Michelangelo and Raffaello Sanzio, known also as Raphael, were two of these types of artists who challenged the existing ideas of Eve through their art. Both artists were heavily influenced by Leonardo da Vinci, called the treatise of psychology , who may have taught them to pay close attention the effect the emotions and actions had on the people in their art, which can be seen throughout the following paintings. It raises awareness of things around the world and provides information about understanding conflicts and solving them. (Murray, Dr. Matthew) Dr. Edelson points out that, While the impacts of any particular far reaching decision may be small, the cumulative impact of the decisions made by millions of people are enormous. ( What is Geo literacy? 2012) Geography is something all citizens should know about, everyone should be aware of what is happening around them. The main focus of teaching students how to be geoliterate is so they will know the consequences resulting from basic decisions. As the curriculum continues to change in schools throughout the nation, geography has become nonexistent within the classroom. Besides the basic geographical features, like landforms and oceans, most of this generation knows nothing about geography. Even sometimes these simple concepts are unreachable for students and many young adults making them geo illiterate. Geographic Literacy, as described by Dr. Daniel C. Edelson, has three key concepts; understanding human and natural systems, geographic reasoning and systematic decision making. He describes a geo literate student as not only one who understands geography, but one who understands that the Earth is interconnected and the decisions we make over our lifetime have long lasting effects. They should also able to comprehend that the relationship between human systems and their interactions and the impact it puts on our environment. It means that one should know what the effects are of the decisions we make daily. Celiac disease is a digestive disorder that causes people to have problems consuming foods containing the protein gluten. It causes damage to their small intestine and may lead to other illnesses. Because of this people with celiac disease have to avoid eating foods made from the grains wheat, rye, barley and triticale because they all contain the protein gluten.(3) In addition people with celiac disease have to avoid foods that may have been manufactured, processed or mixed with any gluten which is why it is not a surprise that oats falls on the list of foods to avoid as oats are often harvested and stored or processed in the same facilities and machines as wheat we have to look specifically for gluten free oats. In order to do this, we dissolved the tissues and extracted only the genetic material desired using the Qiagen DNeasy Blood Tissue extraction kit. We then used forensic methods of genome identification in order to determine the genus and species of the animal These methods include gel electrophoresis, Polymerase Chain Reaction, and Cycle Sequencing Reactions. After isolating the DNA, we gathered electropherograms from the CSRs to determine the nitrogenous base frequencies of the extracted sample using a genome alignment software program called GENEIOUS. Using this aligned data, we compared the results to the online genome index GenBank using the Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST). Globalization has resulted in interconnecting the world in such a manner that was unimaginable even two decades ago. No longer can any state, nation, or people expect to remain an island. Indeed, as we are interconnected, so too are our fates. If the United States is to ensure security and prosperity for her citizens now and for future generations, we must clearly acknowledge that part we play in the continuum of shifting word powers and peace. We must recognize that although we are the world s leading power, we are not the sole possessor and arbiter of influence. The nuclear arms race of the Cold War years has given way to a race for building alliances in this age of globalization. If we are to be successful in our pursuit of a more peaceful and sustainable world order, we must be cognizant of the opportunities to help fledgeling democracies take root. Furthermore, when Vada feigns dying one night at dinner, her father s reaction is to ignore her rather than talk to her about what the real issue is. Behavior such as this might be viewed as both a lack of understanding about death as well as an attempt to get attention that is so obviously absent. Vada s father s lack of attention to his daughter s needs is similarly illustrated in the fact that when Vada starts her period, she believes she is haemorrhaging; he has not adequately educated her on the normal bodily changes that are unrelated to death, nor on the subject of death itself. A motivated offender is someone who is motivated to commit the crime meaning an individual who is willing to do something that is illegal such as rob a home. The second element includes that there has to be a suitable targets meaning something that is worth going for such as something expensive (Cohen et al., 1979). A suitable target can be seen as something acceptable to the individual known as the motivated offender that is easy to take but yet worth the value and is fitting to their standards. • 37. The Severing Nature Of Sin In Jenson s View Of God Like any relationship, the relationship between God and his people requires input from both parties. One of the ways to positively engage in the relationship is through prayer, however, one of the ways to both actively and negatively engage in this relationship is through sin. Many historical and social developments have shifted sin into the realm of ethics, however, for Jenson, it is a theological concept. It is a theological concept in the sense that it relates to the active relationship between man and God, which stems precisely from being made in the image of God. As a result, sin is what breaks up this active relationship and community that God has established. Jenson achieves this conception of sin by once again analyzing God s identity in scripture, specifically his active ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sin is not only the rejection of one s relationship with god, but a rejection of one s relationship to other human beings as well. The aforementioned good moral life is not an individual goal that is separate from God or other human beings, it is a collective goal that forms a community that this sin destroys. The severing nature of sin stems directly from the story of Adam and Eve: their betrayal of God through manifests itself in original sin and relationship severing consequences, there is a division between humans, in which the woman is directed to be ruled by the husband, and a division between man and God, in which the people are banished from the garden of Eden and its many blessings. However, sin is only a rupture, not a complete dissolution, of one s relationship with God and thus, it is mendable and redeemable. One of the major topics for allusions is the Serpent. Most commonly known for his role in the story of Adam and Eve the serpent is sly, cunning, and deceivingly tricky. Authors allude to the Serpent if they want to characterize a character as evil or devious. They may also use this allusion to advance a theme as to not trust everyone you meet or temptation may be your downfall. They can use it to create other moods such as suspenseful ones, or even sad ones if the reader knows that the fall of the character is coming. Women in ancient civilization industrialized negatively due to the lack of respect women had gotten from men. The thought women had gotten from the males was that their only purpose in life was to be the mother; only seen, not heard for both women and children. To show that women and their children had no freedom, independence, and were considered a property of the male: 210. By men treating women as if they had no freedom, independence, and were the property of the men they negatively influence the development of civilization for women by making it more difficult for their civilization to expand. Women were the property of the men since men thought women were incompetent of doing anything on their own. In a regulated environment, most of the cost increases were passed along to consumers under a fixed rate of return based pricing scheme. This allowed labor unions to acquire a lot of power and workers at the major incumbent carriers were overpaid. After deregulation, the incumbent carriers felt the most pain, and the floodgates had opened for newer more nimble carriers with lower cost structures to compete head on with the established airlines. • 45. Social Inequalities Within New Zealand Essay This essay will be discussing the social inequalities within New Zealand. These inequalities can include unequal income, education and healthcare. Through extensive research of academic resources, I will be discussing how educational, family, social and political factors contribute to the development of these inequalities. I will also be providing a line graph that shows the unequal income between classes and a second line graph that demonstrates the difference in student success between high decile and low decile schools. Society holds many structures that mould human performance and produce opportunities for some, but inequalities for others (Morrall, 2009). These structures in society are organized by the hierarchies of class, ethnicity and gender (Crossman, 2016). Due to having a society based on hierarchies, social inequalities are inevitable. Social inequality refers to the ways in which a group or individual of a certain social position may receive unequal opportunities or distribution of goods such as education, income, living conditions and healthcare (Walker, 2009). These unequal opportunities may be given to someone because of their ethnicity, gender, income, religion or social class (Walker, 2009). For example, people in a high social class will be able to pay for their children to go to a good private school for a good education, whereas lower class or working class people will struggle to afford the same education. The New Testament Gospel By Matthew, Mark, Luke And John Form The four New Testament gospel books, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John form a conclusive and powerful portrait of Jesus Christ as the sent son of God. The four books are not in any way explaining the biography of Christ s complete life, but rather trying to give the fundamental truth of Christianity, the great truths of the gospel and who Jesus really is. Each of the named gospel writers gives a clear and personal perspective of Christ as guided by the Holy Ghost and the themes that correspond to Jesus. With the exception of the gospel written by John, the other three give some considerable presentation of well known and familiar accounts and teachings only to be underscored by the distinct teachings and accounts that support their complete thoughts. These thoughts by the three writers are brought to a conclusion by John the Apostle, who interprets the life of Jesus by emphasizing his personhood. Though many writers describe Jesus differently, we will always come to the conclusion that he is God in flesh. In Matthew Jesus is portrayed as the Jewish light this is where Jesus was emphasizes the importance of the Jewish law to his people. Also, Jesus is the authoritative teacher and the king of the Jews. In a way of organizing social life, gender has been a way to divide labor and assign roles in our social and economic society. Gender divisions make women and men unequal (Zinn, 2011: 173). Gender roles and associated stereotypes describe differences between men and women, and prescribe how they should behave in social and occupational settings (Eagly and Mitchell 2004) (Reilly and Neumann 2013). In a family, traditional gender roles view men as the breadwinner as the women played the domestic role. All in all, it is a strong feeling, be it happiness, sadness, anger or liberality. You can be passionate about many things such as love, sports, food, or intimacy. Throughout her manifesto, Wollstonecraft points out that if women were only taught to please men on a daily basis, men would grow tired causing the women to cheat. She also points out renowned writers such as Jean Jacques Rousseau. Ten years before this, Jean Jacques Rousseau had published his tell all called Confessions. This was during the Romanticism period, a period where there was rejection of rationality and reason while in favor of feelings. There was more emphasis on subjectivity, the way the individual perceives their experience. From reading Vindication, you understand why Wollstonecraft wrote this. She claims that Rousseau s view towards women were very double standard. He states that Women are smaller compared to men, both in their physical frame and mental frame. So because of that, they should all be submissive towards men. Thus, the prejudice of women being the weak and sensitive sex prevails. Both men and women, live their lives believing that women are weak minded. At an early age society teaches that a woman s mind is weaker than a man s mind, justifying it with the fact that a woman s body is weaker than that of a man s. This conclusion seems fully plausible, however if investigated further, one will find that that is not the case. A woman s mind is as fully capable of reason as a man s mind.
