1) A 70-year-old woman presented with fever for 20-25 days and was found to have bradycardia and a prolonged QT interval, consistent with acquired prolonged QT syndrome. 2) She later developed ventricular tachycardia and cardiac arrest. Electrical cardioversion was required to restore sinus rhythm. 3) A temporary pacemaker was inserted and she was monitored in the intensive care unit. Her QT interval gradually normalized over the next few days with treatment.
