The project mentioned here is “Speed checker and over speed detector for Highways”. This project is designed and developed by taking into consideration the problem mentioned above. We have used two sensors in this project. These sensors detect the vehicle speed. Condition is that, the two sensors should be installed at a distance of 100 meteres apart from one another.
Now-a-days we hear news about accidents on Highways very frequently. And in most of the cases main reason of accident is overspeed. Although all highways do have signboards indicating maximum speed limit for the sake of driver’s safety, but still people does not obey highway speed limit.

The main objective of our project is to provide an optimum solution to the traffic hazards and the road accidents. According to this project when a vehicle meets with an accident, immediately vibration sensor will detect the signal and sends it to ARM controller. Microcontroller sends the alert message through the GSM MODEM including the location to police control room or a rescue team. So the police can immediately trace the location through the GPS MODEM after receiving the information.

Road users have long been known to fall asleep whilst driving. Driving long hours can induce fatigue causing lack of concentration and occasionally road accidents. Up to 20% of fatal crashes may be linked to driver fatigue. Our model presented a low-cost and simple distributed force sensor that is particularly suitable for measuring grip force and hand position on a steering wheel. The sensor can be used in automotive active safety systems that aim at detecting driver’s fatigue, which is a major issue to prevent road accidents. The key point of our approach is to design a prototype of sensor units, so that it can serve as platform for integrating different kinds of sensors into the steering wheel.
• As now a days railway accidents are occuring more and more, large amount of people lost their lives, and economical impact of it is also very high. This all happens due to improper management, and less control available!!

Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric

A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be

Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.

4. ABSTRACT:
The main objective of this project is to provide an IR based railway track fault
detection system.
Railway track damage status is monitored by the sensor and transfered through wireless
modules.
For easy surveying and with less delay the information can be send to the authority.
Toavoid accidents and to safeguard the passengers.
5. INTRODUCTION:
India is the fourth largest railway network in the world having a track length of 115,000
Kilometers
Indian railway carries over 8,900 million passengers annually or more than 24
million passengers daily
In spite of this, so many accidents occur on a daily basis.
6. 90% of them are due to the cracks on the rails either due to the natural causes or due to the
antisocial elements.
So we need a system to monitor the geometry of the track in the most cost effective way.
7. PROPOSED PLAN
In this, the fault in railway track is automatically detected without any human
intervention.
IR sensor is used to find the cracks and damage of tracks.
GPS and GSM systems are used to locate the fault & send information to the control room.
Motors are used to drive the system.
This system ensures a very accurate detection and accurate output.
9. The block diagram of the system consists of microcontroller, IR transmitter, IR receiver,
dc motor, relay, interfacing IC, GPS, GSM and LCD display.
The microcontroller does all the controlling and coordinating actions of the entire system.
Infrared sensor is used for sensing the presence of cracks.
The GPS find the location of damage in track and GSM is used to send information about
the fault.
LCD is used to display the damage status.

14. POWER SUPPLY SECTION:
Power supply circuit provides two supply voltages 12V and 5V
DC.
The battery is charged to 12v by means of a SOLAR panel or by
means of a charging circuit which consists of step-down
transformer, bridge circuit package and capacitor for filtering
The 12 V DC from battery is taken to the components wherever
the 12V DC supply is required
This 12V DC is then regulated to a constant 5V DC by means of
a regulator IC LM7805

ADVANTAGES
16. In this project, we are using GSM/GPS and IR sensors for detecting the cracks in
the railway track.
In future, we will also be using the CCTV systems with IP based camera for
monitoring the visual videos captured from the track.
It will also increase the security for the both rails and passengers from terrorism,
and mob-crime.
FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS:
17. This project is a cost effective way of implementing a fault detection system.
Monitoring and manual maintenance is very difficult and takes more time.
To avoid delays, our proposed system immediately notifies and informs the
current train coming on the track through wireless medium.
