Isolationism And Neutrality During War Of Foreign
The United States had developed the idea of isolationism and neutrality during war of foreign to
protect their peace, country, people, interests. But a problem is that the American interest located in or
dependent on foreign countries led the united states to intervene in those ares. The United States jobs,
growth, price stability, and economic security in the United States all depend substantially on events
abroad and the interaction with them of internal economic developments and policies. The United
States is no longer a self contained continent, but rather an integral component of a deeply
interdependent global economy . Overthrow: America s Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to
Iraq, this is a book of short stories about the overthrow of 14 countries by the United States since 1893
started with Hawaii and ended with Iraq. Through this book, we will talk about the reasons behind that
led the United States to overthrow these governments, and the tactics used in the different countries.
The reasons behind that led the United States to overthrow these fourteen governments
In order to overthrow foreign countries, the government should give reasons for doing so. American
government often claimed that they wanted to protect American prosperity, business interest, against
the Soviet and Communism, protect nation security, and against terrorism. But what is the main
reasons behind those claims? Part one: The Imperial Era

Fundraiser Memorandum
Hi C.J. Our names are Logan and Maggie Huff. We are contacting you regarding the fundraiser we
have done for our niece Sophia Huff. We both started the fundraiser for Sophia however; the funds
were released to Logan, Brigham s brother. As you know, you have been receiving numerous
messages from Brigham Huff. We have also been the recipient of many harassing and obscene

our story. Brigham has racked up quite a criminal history in the last year. We are truly unsure of his

that occurred from this incident, funeral expenses and the remainder would be used for making a

no medical expenses. We did have funeral expenses which were paid. He truly believes we are
misusing the funds, which we have not, but he has. Brigham will not speak to us by phone and the
only time of day he sends messages is between 1:00am and 3:00am CST. The only method that we can
contact him is by Facebook Messenger, in which Brigham has set so only Maggie can send and
receive messages from him. He will not show us any documentation on what he has spent the money
on. With that being said we have transferred the remaining funds to David Huff, Brigham and Logan s
father, grandfather to Sophia. We will no longer have access to the funds. Thank you for your help and
understanding in the matter. We are available and willing to answer more questions if needed by e

Hitler Essay
History a) Neville Chamberlain was the British Prime Minister during the 1930 s and was known as an
appeaser in regards to Hitler s foreign policy. In September 1938, during the Czechoslovakian crisis,
the appeasers appeased to Hitler s taking of the Sudetenland due to the threat of war. On October first
1938 in the Daily Herald Newspaper, the headline stated that Mr. Chamberlain declared that It is peace
for our time . Some people say that the appeasers, such as Neville Chamberlain, were the indirect
cause of World War two. b) The main point that Mein Kampf reveals about Hitler s foreign policy in

The Debate Over The Death Penalty
The use of Capital Punishment has always been an issue for which the states must determine the
proper use and implementation. Like the other thirty two states that practice the death penalty, Idaho
has its own unique statutes regarding the death penalty, but also like all other states, the statute is
constantly under scrutiny through the appeals process death row inmates take part in. Through looking
at their current statutes, one can understand this complicated and high profile punishment. It seems
that with each person who is executed, a new part of the law is highlighted which may be unfair. The
appeals process is lengthy, and because of this, it tends to be an incredibly costly sentence to carry out.
With an age in which the media ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only crimes, which are eligible for Capital Punishment, are murder in the first degree, kidnapping
in the first degree, and perjury, which results in the death of an innocent person. This statute was
changed in 1973 as a result of the Furman decision to make the death penalty mandatory for a
conviction of murder in the first degree to make jury sentencing unnecessary (Office of Performance
Evaluations, 2014).
According to Idaho Statute 19 2515, Sentencing in Capital Cases outlines the mens rea, which is
necessary to seek the death penalty. It states the jury or judge must find that one of the listed
aggravating circumstances must be found present for a person to be sentenced to the death penalty: A
previous conviction for murder; knowingly committing two murders at the same time; knowingly
placing many people at great risk of death; a murder committed for money; an especially heinous,
atrocious or cruel murder; a murder which exhibits a disregard for human life, murder in conjunction
with attempted/executed arson, rape, robbery, burglary, or kidnapping; murder committed during the
commission of a crime against nature (i.e. sexual abuse of a child under sixteen); actions which would
indicate a continued threat to society; a murder in which the victim was a law enforcement officer or
officer of the court; or a murder in which the victim was the witness of a crime. As with the finding of
guilt, a jury must unanimously find one

After World War Two in 1984 , the whole world witnessed twenty decades of nuclear warfare and civil
disintegration. These issues formed the superstate of Oceania, a collection of western countries such as

Minoan Civilization Essay
The Minoan civilization was founded in 3000 BCE and ended in 1100 BCE, whereas the Mycenaean
civilization was founded in 1900 BCE and ended in 1100 BCE (Matthews, Noble, Platt, 2014). The
Minoan and Mycenaean cultures are found to be in present day Greeks as DNA has revealed to be
similar in early farmers (Reich, 2017).
The Minoans were the first literate civilization in Europe. One key aspect of the Minoan and
Mycenaean culture that lived on among the Greeks later was writing. Linear A, a syllabic system that
cannot be read by anyone except the Minoans, however, the Mycenaeans produced thousands of
Linear B tablets, that contained documents for the government, as well as the Iliad and Odyssey
(Matthews et al, 2014). Both Linear A and B are from a syllabic system, which are like the Greek
letters. Another key aspect of the Minoan and Mycenaean culture that lived on among the Greeks later
were metals, such as bronze, copper, tin, silver, and gold (Matthews et al, 2014). These metals were
used for military weapons such as swords, spears, daggers, and others, the chariots with the horse and
wheel. Throughout the ages and eras, metals improved, as well as what they were used for. ... Show

Odd Girl Out
On average 77 percent of students are bullied mentally, verbally, and physically in the United States.
Odd Girl Out by Rachel Simmons brings to light the hidden culture of aggression in girls. Throughout
the novel, Rachel goes over every aspect of female bullying. She includes first person accounts with
high school and middle school students and some of the pressures from classmates, friends, parents
and teachers, and themselves. Every novel has its strengths and weaknesses. In Odd Girl Out, Rachel
Simmons does a nice job bringing to light a subject that is not explored very often, however there is
still so much we don t know and it is very hard to stop this activity from happening.
Elaborating deeper on the strengths of this novel in general, this novel again explores teenage
aggression in girls that is often justified as a stage that will eventually pass. This is part of the reason
this is such a big issue. Other strengths include helping get answers for the hun dreds of people across

comes to mind is that there is still so much that is unknown about the subject. This makes the behavior
hard to stop even though it is present in everyday life for many people. In my opinion, deeper research
needs to be done to fully comprehend what is needed in this case. As a high school student myself,
there are actions in the novel that I did not know be forehand. If this information gets into the wrong
hands, it could potentially initiate aggressive behavior. It could teach girls new ways to hurt someone
which is not the goal of the book, but it is still a possibility that is sad and hard to think

Catholic Explanation Of Scripture
The Catholic approach attempts to find the truth by the interpretation and explanation of Scripture
includes three exegetical methodologies which are: reading, interpreting, and understanding.
Specifically, exegesis takes into account a thorough critical analysis of the meaning of biblical
scriptures in terms of their historical and literary context. These methods play a role and contribute to
our understanding of Scripture and this includes: 1) ideological criticism, is the examination of bias,
assumption, or strongly held beliefs which may influence biases; 2) literary criticism, which focuses
on context of the written text including the author, language, time it was written, genre, plot,
characters and symbolism; 3) sociohistorical criticism, explores the conditions of life (i.e. geography,
customs, traditions, religious practices, cultures, social norms, and family life. For example,
ideological and sociohistorical criticism is evidenced in the letter to the Ephesians about morality of
slavery. This letter reflects the time it was written as slavery was accepted and considered to be the
norm in those days. However, the author suggests to the Ephesians that they should be imitators of

The Importance Of A Good Society Is Not Achieved By Chance...
The quantitative analysis of the merit of a society is one very multifaceted and complex task; however,
one truth remains certain: a good society is not achieved by chance or by default. Each and every
successful society has succeeded because at a certain point, members of the society acted collectively
to create structure and organization. Universities and institutions, transportation networks, and public
healthcare, are all structures that have been put in place to help individuals succeed in various areas.
From Travels of a T shirt in the Global Economy, it is evident that without necessary trade,
negotiations, and boundaries, the millions of T shirts produced would not be able to flow across global
communities, bringing alongside them countless job opportunities, more effective governance
systems, and enhanced research and innovations. Clearly, one of the key aspects of a good functioning
society is the establishment of good and effective structures. While the best form of that structure can
be debated, the fact that a good society needs structure and organization is a fixed and fundamental
condition. In order for this structure to provide a foundation of a good society, there are a few other
conditions that must follow among them are attentiveness to all members of the society, commitment
to universal values, and flexibility to change and adapt. In addition to structure, a good society is one
that works to help all members thrive, especially individuals at the

Tacofino Persuasive Speech

Laredo Police Department Analysis
The Laredo Police Department was created in February 9, 1850. Its original name was City Marshal
but changed during the 20th Century. Before it was created, Laredo had its own Vigilance Committee
of citizens. They were like a modern day police officer. Their purpose was to protect the law and
tracked down marauders. Today this Vigilance Committee is now known as Laredo Crime Stoppers; a
program where citizens get rewarded for providing valid information to the police.
The agency mission is a simple one; to better the life of living. It is guided by their core values which

Improving An Employee s Stress Level Is Through Supervision
Alternatively, one of the most common methods used to manage an employee s stress level is through
supervision. As previously stated, social workers who work within the child welfare system can use
daily debriefing based on the critical incidents that occur with this population. For example, from
personal experience of being a supervisor over case managers working with children, supervision was
crucial not only for myself but for the caseworkers. The caseworkers were able to release their
emotions, concerns, and possible fears when dealing with their clients and their family. Huss (2012)
shows how employees use supervision to cope and discuss stressful situations, however, it is explained
how supervision is beginning to suddenly decrease. Huss (2012) describes how supervision is
beginning to decrease, which can be due to the possible lack of supervisory positions or funding. This
is an example of why the current practices, i.e. EPA, supervision, and OD, need to change within
organizations. Based on personal experience, in order to help manage an employees stress, an
organization needs to ensure that their staff has the tools needed to work efficiently and effectively.
Organizations must be aware of the stress that can be caused by the policies, regulations and
conflicting demands of the external and internal factors that influence an employee s work (Dextras
Gautier, Marchand, Haines, 2012). Furthermore, organizational SMIs encompass the leadership of
administration,

Ever since nuclear weapons of mass destruction have existed, people have been attempting to create
ways to prevent a war that would bring about a worldwide Arma geddon. Many of today s top military
and government officials have been studying ways in which the United States can protect itself from a
nuclear missile attack. What they have come up with is the National Missile Defense program, or

The fear of an attack, however, stayed with many people. It became the goal of the United States to
stockpile weapons, to use in the event of a nuclear attack from the Soviet Un ion or other nuclear
super power. A few years later, during the Nixon Presidency in 1968, the United States, USSR, and a
number of other states signed the Nuclear Non proliferation Treaty. The NPT was designed to prevent
the spread of nuclear weapons and technology from the super power states to the still developing
states. (Winkler 1999, 182)
In 1972, four years after NPT was signed and ten years after the Cuban missile crisis, the United
States, in conjunction with the USSR, signed the ABM Treaty. The ABM treaty was designed to
regulate the number of anti ballistic missile systems, or defense shields, of both the United States and
the Soviet Union to two, and later agree ments brought that number down to one. (Winkler 1999, 187)
It did nothing, however, to regulate the number of missiles a state could possess.
During all this time, however, US Soviet relations remained tense. The Ameri can government taught
the American people to live in fear of a possible pre emptive nuclear strike by the Soviets. According
to author Allan Winkler, this is when then President Ronald Reagan began to design his Strategic
Defense Initiative (SDI) pro gram, or Star Wars, as many people referred to it as. (204) There were a

Theme Of Revenge In Wuthering Heights
One s emotions of hate have the potential to overthrow one s state of being and may cause harm to
others around them. In Emily Brontë s Wuthering Heights, several characters emotions are overtaken
by revenge thus leading them to suffer in the end. Revenge grows early in the novel. It begins with the
hate that Hindley Earnshaw holds for Heathcliff, an orphan who has been taken in by Hindley s father,
Mr. Earnshaw. Later in the novel, Heathcliff s love of his life, Catherine Earnshaw, marries Edgar
Linton which as one can imagine becomes devastating for Heathcliff. This sense of betrayal causes
Heathcliff to seek revenge on the Lintons and Earnshaws. Ultimately, Heathcliff becomes the
character that is mainly driven by the strong desire for revenge. The novel demonstrates how revenge
seems to be the easiest method for gaining fulfillment, but it time disturbs the characters peace of
mind and becomes the root of their downfall. Hindley Earnshaw is the first character in the novel that
obtains the desire for revenge. Early in the book Mr. Earnshaw takes a trip to Liverpool during the
time Catherine and Hindley were still children. He then returns with Heathcliff who was an orphan
from the streets. As he continues to live in the Earnshaw household, Mr. Earnshaw grows love for
Heathcliff, similar to Catherine who also begins to grow a relationship with him. So, from the very
beginning, he bred bad feeling in the house implies that Mr, Earnshaw s strong favoritism for
Heathcliff becomes a major threat for Hindley (33). This means that Heathcliff may become the new
man of the house which would make Hindley very upset. Mr. Earnshaw s demonstration of love for
Heathcliff causes Hindley to gain jealousy and makes him take his anger out on Heathcliff. He has
been blaming our father (how dared he?) for treating H. too liberally; and swears he will reduce him to
his right place fully indicates that Hindley feels anger towards his father for bringing Heathcliff into
their home (19). It seems that Hindley feels that he is not receiving the attention he deserves from his
own father and instead Heathcliff, who is not even Mr. Earnshaw s biological son, is Mr. Earnshaw s
only priority. This ultimately triggers Hindley

Shargel s Superstitions
Hanna, that s not formal ! Take it off ! Hanna s mother exclaimed, pointing at her red bandana. She
had it since she was born, and ever since she won an animal in a carnival game while wearing this
bandana at the age of four, she had decided that this was her lucky bandana. In April of 2014, she was
auditioning for her first of three auditions for orchestras. She planned on auditioning for California
Youth Symphony, El Camino Youth Symphony, and San Jose Youth Symphony. She disobeyed her
mother and snuck the bandana into her pocket, making sure it was not seen and that it was easily
accessible. She later received three letters in the mail, each saying that Hanna was accepted into their
orchestra. While some may discredit superstitions and rituals, these small acts can provide a sense of

Gerald L. Shargel claims that [He] will walk under ladders. [He] will let black cats pass in front of
[him]. But [he will] not pass up a beggar (Weiser 6). He usually gives each beggar he sees twenty
dollars. This small act not only impacts Shargel, but also the beggar. It makes the beggar happy that
they made some money, and it also makes Shargel happy that he is conducting his superstition.
Shargel uses this superstition because trials are never the same. With all the new people and new
cases, he might need a sense of repetitivity to comfort him or make him feel like there is a least one
constant with his variating life. Richard B. Lind asserts that he is not superstitious, but that he
acknowledges the possible contradiction to his belief by doing simple things like purposely [stepping]
on a crack (Weiser 10). Although he is not superstitious, he believes that dissipating superstitions will
clear his trial of any grip that superstitions have on his mind. By contradicting superstitions, he feels
that the bad energy they contain has no effect on his trials and that the trials will

The Beliefs Of A Christian
(iii) Their beliefs as a Christian. Over the years my Christian Beliefs have evolved, and I am a grateful
for that. I have found that these conversations can turn negative very quickly without grace and love,
for everyone is on journey, specifically the individuals I live life with that are experiencing
homelessness and displacement. I do my best to be sensitive to everyone s current understanding of
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I find that when I am interacting and discussing
aspects of my Christian Beliefs I tend to highlight The Apostles Creed. However my belief system is
in no shape or form limited to just that. Below is a detailed outline of my Christian Beliefs.
1) Triune God. God is one God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
2) Scripture. The writings in the Old Testament and New Testament are the inspired word of God.
3) Salvation through Jesus Christ. God s redeeming love is active to save sinners through Jesus
incarnate life and teachings, through his atoning death, his resurrection, his sovereign presence
through history, and his promised return.
4) Sanctification. The grace of sanctification draws one toward the gift of Christian perfection, which
Wesley described as a heart habitually filled with the love of God and neighbor and as having the
mind of Christ and walking as he walked.
5) Sacraments. I believe strongly in the Holy Baptism as a profession and mark of difference whereby
Christians are distinguished

Does Our Increasingly Mechanized World Cause Us You Feel...
Does our increasingly mechanized world cause us to feel alienated?
It can be argued that life has never been so easy. We are surrounded by plentitudes. food is freely
available in the West. Information is taken for granted, and we often dont want for nothing.
Yet there are signs and many reasons to suggest that we are far from happy despite this new age of
overabundance and the freedom it affords us.
Life in this age is unsatisfying for many, with people exhibiting clear signs of dissastisfaction, and a
sense of unease and angst. Our society and all its needs for advancement from technology and
overabundance is our chosen answer to all our problems, and we rely on such things for a higher
quality and easier life.
Yet, it doesnt seem to be getting better, our problems continue and in ways even increase as a result of
our incessant progression towards a brighter future.
Amidst the massive changes in society we face, we as a result constantly question our reality and
purpose within it, and this rapid mechanized world usually pushes aside any sense of community. I
think a capitalist; consumerist society creates in us a sense of alienation entirely new to our modern
times.
I want to understand the deeper reasons behind this, not only because i think it is very important but
also because i feel it is largely misunderstand and overlooked for such a huge complicated issue
within our society.
I will look at Marx and Engels.

Fools Rush In Concept Paper
Fools Rush In is a romantic comedy dealing with interpersonal communication between Isabel and
Alex. When these two first met each other it was at a restaurant. From the beginning, there were
obvious signs of flirting. As the night went on, Isabel ended up going to Alex s home. Waking up in
his arms, she quickly scrambled her things and left only to return three months later to tell Alex she is
pregnant with his baby. This movie is a perfect example of a relationship between two people. In a
relationship there is a time where the two discloses information about one another, have mixed
emotions, and other interpersonal concepts. Fools Rush In has many examples of first impressions,

For one, Alex was a part of a different group construct than Isabel. Fortunately, Isabel s family started
warming up to Alex. It ended up being a great night. After the family left, Isabel and Alex was left
together and that is when they suddenly realized that they liked each other. Unfortunately, Isabel had
mixed emotions about the situation. She wanted to invite Alex into her life permanently but she did
not want to get hurt with what the future held. Alex on the other hand was ready to spend his life with
Isabel. He told Isabel you are everything I never knew I always wanted. At that point, Isabel decided
to give Alex a chance with her. In the bonding stage of their relationship, they decided to get married.
They got married in court, which upset Isabel s father. Another conflict that the relationship had was
Alex s best friend. His friend, who was previously married, shared all the negativity about marriage.
He wanted to know how come they skipped the whole dating stage. At this point, Alex referred dating
as bringing out your best side, while holding in the real you. This line goes parallel to the self concepts
explained in the lessons. What Alex is saying is dating brings out the presenting self in a person that
way their significant other will have a front stage view of that person. The presenting self is when a
person presents themselves to others based on the circumstance or situation. In other words, their real
self is the back

The Effect Of Optical Fiber On The Growth Of The Economy...
German market has always been a trend setter when it about telecoms. Since the first commercial
introduction in the 1980s, optical fiber innovation has experienced a practically significant growth and
since more than 30 years, the increased research, technology development and commercialization of
optical fiber combined with their continuously growing technical applications have been become a
success story of optical fiber in Germany. In addition, Independent research has proven that
investments in future proof infrastructure have a significant positive influence on the growth of the
economy of Germany. During most recent 10 years, Germany has put over €80 billion in
telecommunications infrastructure, yet to the extent ultra fast broadband accessibility is concerned, the
nation is still a sleeping giant. However, Interests in future proof infrastructure won t just help
Germany to become out of the present crisis, the slipstream will likewise help other EU nations whose
economies are mostly reliant on the German economy. INTRODUCTION
The application of optical fiber is increasing rapidly in telecommunication and CATV subscriber
network and the mass deployment of fiber in the loop (FITL) has begun in Germany. The promising
cost effective topology has been generally considered and picked is the passive optical network
(PON). The most aggressive movement in Germany happened during early 1990, long rang plans
were made for wide scale

Swot Analysis Of Schneider Electric
Schneider Electric Mergers and Acquisitions Strategy
Schneider Electric is an aggressive company when it comes to mergers and acquisitions. It reserves
part of its entire revenue every year to fund and reinforce its strategy in this area, and has constantly
acquired companies throughout its history. Pre 2000 Acquisitions Schneider Electric started as a
wartime armaments provider before refocusing itself onto the electrical industry in postwar Europe. It
separated from the iron and steel industry to do so. It acquired Telemecanique in 1988, Square D in
1991, Merlin Gerin in 1992, and Lexel in 1999. These acquisitions mark the transition of SE s
industry focus from construction to electrical equipment. Advantages These strategic acquisitions
helped Schneider gain advantages in the fields of circuit breakers and switchgear. Telemechanique for
example, was the inventor of the first switch and already had patents in their name when SE acquired
them. They were already present in 11 European countries and the United States by the time the
acquisition happened in 1988. This gave SE geographic advantages in circuit breaker industry as well.

The Diagnostic And Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorder (...
Gender dysphoria is a complex struggle between a person s physical gender and who he or she
identifies, and this could be an individual physically born as a male that identifies as being female and
vice versa. Biological sex is determined at birth based upon the appearance of the infant, but gender
identity is how the person feels or how they identify themselves, which is where the dysphoria comes
in. It is from highly complex genetic, neurodevelopmental, and psychological factors (Mandal, 2012),
and is not the same as homosexuality or gender nonconformity. Symptoms and signs of gender
dysphoria may vary depending upon age and gender. Gender dysphoria becomes known as a disorder
when it fits certain criteria. Treatment is available when needed. There are speculations on the cause,
but no real answer. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder (DSM 5) made changes
to ensure clinical care that is proper and without stigma for individuals with gender dysphoria. The
DSM 5 does provide an overarching diagnosis, but with specific criteria for children and for
adolescents and adults (DSM, 2013). A marked discrepancy between the individual s communicated
gender and his or her natal gender must be ongoing at least six months (Parekh, 2016). Children and
adults must verbalize or show a desire to be the other gender under the guidelines of DSM 5. Children
must meet six of the eight listed criteria, which are: strong desire to be the other gender or insisting

Cartesian Coordinate Equations
As the name suggests, cylindrical coordinates are 3 dimensional and involve polar coordinates. It
combines the 3 dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (x, y, z) with the polar coordinate system (r,
θ). The r stands for radius while the θ stands for theta (the angle usually represented in radians). The x
and y are replaced with the polar coordinate system while z stays the same. The coordinates are shown
in this manner: (r, θ, z). Graphing cylindrical coordinates is easy as long as you know how to graph in
polar coordinates and in the 3D Cartesian system. First you look at only the xy planes to locate (r, θ).
Start at the positive x axis and go in a counterclockwise direction however many radians or degrees
are stated. Then use r to know how far from the pole, center, to go. If r is a negative number, then it is
in the opposite side of theta (so θ=ᴨ/4 becomes θ=5ᴨ/4) and r away from the pole. The conversion
from (x, y, z) to (r, θ, z) only requires the polar coordinate to Cartesian coordinate equations.Therefore
the following equations are used: cos θ=x/r, sin θ=y/r, tan θ=y/x, r2=x2+y2, and z=z (Zill, ... Show

Anytime there is a circle on the xy plane, it is stated with the radius of the circle, for instance r≤4
would be a solid circle with radius 4 since the radius is anywhere within the distance of 4 from the
center. Now to make a circular cylinder function, you would need a solid circle in the xy plane and a
possible domain for z (either going on for infinity or specify an interval such as 0≤z≤5 where z is only
in the interval from 0 to 5). A cone is not much different from a cylinder, but in a cone the radius and z
are either directly or inversely proportional, so as z changes, the radius changes with it. An equation
for a cylinder then could be written as r≤4, z=r. This states that the solid circle on the xy plane is the
biggest when z=4 and shrinks down to 0 as z goes to

Class in Caucasia
Social Class in Relation to Caucasia Sandy Lee, from Danzy Senna s novel, Caucasia is born and
raised into a very wealthy and well known family. Sandy comes from the wealthy town of Cambridge,
Massachusetts. Therefore, her father was a respected professor at Harvard University. Sandy received
her high school diploma from Buckingham School, and gets accepted to Brandeis, which she later
turned down. Sandy didn t fit in around her community and was a rebel. She also tries to escape her
upper class lifestyle by marrying Deck, an African American who is a part of the lower class. In my

I made out my grandmother s tall stooped form and gray bun. The rosebuds that circled the house
were in bloom read and lavender and white and pink and Gory, the dog, sat watching us with his
eternally depressed expression as we climbed out the car. The gardener, a small dark man, was
crouched on his hands and knees, tending to the flowers and my mother shouted to him, Hey there,
Joe! How s things? (Senna 102), Also, you can also figure out the difference of lifestyles between
Sandy and her mother when the maid comes to the door. Birdie describes, Edna came to greet us at the
door. She was my grandmother s housecleaner, a Caribbean woman with salt and pepper hair. She
smelled of lemon and wore chunky white nurse shoes and neatly pressed hair. She made everything
sparkle, but a faint smell of must lingered (Senna 102). The fact Sandy s mother has house cleaners in
her home indicates that she is a part of the wealthy upper class. According to Judith Lorber, Because
white people are the superior group, white people do not have to do the dirty work , such as house
work; the most inferior group does it, usually poor women of color (Lorber 116). Lorber basically
sums the reason the assumption of why Sandy s mother has housecleaners. The difference of Sandy s
life style is mentioned when her mother comments on her appearance. Sandy s mother states, Sandy,

this new thought process as the Self care Deficit Theory of Nursing, which also is known as the Orem
Model of Nursing. Orem published the basis for this theory in her book Nursing: Concepts of Practice
in 1971. The Self care Deficit Theory of Nursing earned Orem much acclaim and respect within the

Like the other thirty two states that practice the death penalty, Idaho has its own unique statutes regarding the death penalty, but also like all other states, the statute is constantly under scrutiny through the appeals process death row inmates take part in. Through looking at their current statutes, one can understand this complicated and high profile punishment. Minoan Civilization Essay The Minoan civilization was founded in 3000 BCE and ended in 1100 BCE, whereas the Mycenaean civilization was founded in 1900 BCE and ended in 1100 BCE (Matthews, Noble, Platt, 2014). The Minoan and Mycenaean cultures are found to be in present day Greeks as DNA has revealed to be similar in early farmers (Reich, 2017). The Minoans were the first literate civilization in Europe. One key aspect of the Minoan and Mycenaean culture that lived on among the Greeks later was writing. Linear A, a syllabic system that cannot be read by anyone except the Minoans, however, the Mycenaeans produced thousands of Linear B tablets, that contained documents for the government, as well as the Iliad and Odyssey (Matthews et al, 2014). Both Linear A and B are from a syllabic system, which are like the Greek letters. Another key aspect of the Minoan and Mycenaean culture that lived on among the Greeks later were metals, such as bronze, copper, tin, silver, and gold (Matthews et al, 2014). Odd Girl Out by Rachel Simmons brings to light the hidden culture of aggression in girls. Throughout the novel, Rachel goes over every aspect of female bullying. She includes first person accounts with high school and middle school students and some of the pressures from classmates, friends, parents and teachers, and themselves. Every novel has its strengths and weaknesses. In Odd Girl Out, Rachel Simmons does a nice job bringing to light a subject that is not explored very often, however there is still so much we don t know and it is very hard to stop this activity from happening. Elaborating deeper on the strengths of this novel in general, this novel again explores teenage aggression in girls that is often justified as a stage that will eventually pass. • 14. Catholic Explanation Of Scripture The Catholic approach attempts to find the truth by the interpretation and explanation of Scripture includes three exegetical methodologies which are: reading, interpreting, and understanding. Specifically, exegesis takes into account a thorough critical analysis of the meaning of biblical scriptures in terms of their historical and literary context. These methods play a role and contribute to our understanding of Scripture and this includes: 1) ideological criticism, is the examination of bias, assumption, or strongly held beliefs which may influence biases; 2) literary criticism, which focuses on context of the written text including the author, language, time it was written, genre, plot, characters and symbolism; 3) sociohistorical criticism, explores the conditions of life (i.e. geography, customs, traditions, religious practices, cultures, social norms, and family life. For example, ideological and sociohistorical criticism is evidenced in the letter to the Ephesians about morality of slavery. • 15. The Importance Of A Good Society Is Not Achieved By Chance... The quantitative analysis of the merit of a society is one very multifaceted and complex task; however, one truth remains certain: a good society is not achieved by chance or by default. Each and every successful society has succeeded because at a certain point, members of the society acted collectively to create structure and organization. Universities and institutions, transportation networks, and public healthcare, are all structures that have been put in place to help individuals succeed in various areas. From Travels of a T shirt in the Global Economy, it is evident that without necessary trade, negotiations, and boundaries, the millions of T shirts produced would not be able to flow across global communities, bringing alongside them countless job opportunities, more effective governance systems, and enhanced research and innovations. Clearly, one of the key aspects of a good functioning society is the establishment of good and effective structures. While the best form of that structure can be debated, the fact that a good society needs structure and organization is a fixed and fundamental condition. In order for this structure to provide a foundation of a good society, there are a few other conditions that must follow among them are attentiveness to all members of the society, commitment to universal values, and flexibility to change and adapt. In addition to structure, a good society is one that works to help all members thrive, especially individuals at the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 18. Improving An Employee s Stress Level Is Through Supervision Alternatively, one of the most common methods used to manage an employee s stress level is through supervision. As previously stated, social workers who work within the child welfare system can use daily debriefing based on the critical incidents that occur with this population. For example, from personal experience of being a supervisor over case managers working with children, supervision was crucial not only for myself but for the caseworkers. The caseworkers were able to release their emotions, concerns, and possible fears when dealing with their clients and their family. Huss (2012) shows how employees use supervision to cope and discuss stressful situations, however, it is explained how supervision is beginning to suddenly decrease. Huss (2012) describes how supervision is beginning to decrease, which can be due to the possible lack of supervisory positions or funding. This is an example of why the current practices, i.e. EPA, supervision, and OD, need to change within organizations. Based on personal experience, in order to help manage an employees stress, an organization needs to ensure that their staff has the tools needed to work efficiently and effectively. Organizations must be aware of the stress that can be caused by the policies, regulations and conflicting demands of the external and internal factors that influence an employee s work (Dextras Gautier, Marchand, Haines, 2012). A few years later, during the Nixon Presidency in 1968, the United States, USSR, and a number of other states signed the Nuclear Non proliferation Treaty. The NPT was designed to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and technology from the super power states to the still developing states. (Winkler 1999, 182) In 1972, four years after NPT was signed and ten years after the Cuban missile crisis, the United States, in conjunction with the USSR, signed the ABM Treaty. The ABM treaty was designed to regulate the number of anti ballistic missile systems, or defense shields, of both the United States and the Soviet Union to two, and later agree ments brought that number down to one. • 20. Theme Of Revenge In Wuthering Heights One s emotions of hate have the potential to overthrow one s state of being and may cause harm to others around them. In Emily Brontë s Wuthering Heights, several characters emotions are overtaken by revenge thus leading them to suffer in the end. Revenge grows early in the novel. It begins with the hate that Hindley Earnshaw holds for Heathcliff, an orphan who has been taken in by Hindley s father, Mr. Earnshaw. Later in the novel, Heathcliff s love of his life, Catherine Earnshaw, marries Edgar Linton which as one can imagine becomes devastating for Heathcliff. This sense of betrayal causes Heathcliff to seek revenge on the Lintons and Earnshaws. Ultimately, Heathcliff becomes the character that is mainly driven by the strong desire for revenge. The novel demonstrates how revenge seems to be the easiest method for gaining fulfillment, but it time disturbs the characters peace of mind and becomes the root of their downfall. Hindley Earnshaw is the first character in the novel that obtains the desire for revenge. Early in the book Mr. Earnshaw takes a trip to Liverpool during the time Catherine and Hindley were still children. He then returns with Heathcliff who was an orphan from the streets. As he continues to live in the Earnshaw household, Mr. Earnshaw grows love for Heathcliff, similar to Catherine who also begins to grow a relationship with him. So, from the very beginning, he bred bad feeling in the house implies that Mr, Earnshaw s strong favoritism for Heathcliff becomes a major threat for Hindley (33). This means that Heathcliff may become the new man of the house which would make Hindley very upset. Mr. Earnshaw s demonstration of love for Heathcliff causes Hindley to gain jealousy and makes him take his anger out on Heathcliff. He has been blaming our father (how dared he?) for treating H. too liberally; and swears he will reduce him to his right place fully indicates that Hindley feels anger towards his father for bringing Heathcliff into their home (19). It seems that Hindley feels that he is not receiving the attention he deserves from his own father and instead Heathcliff, who is not even Mr. Earnshaw s biological son, is Mr. Earnshaw s only priority. I do my best to be sensitive to everyone s current understanding of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I find that when I am interacting and discussing aspects of my Christian Beliefs I tend to highlight The Apostles Creed. However my belief system is in no shape or form limited to just that. God s redeeming love is active to save sinners through Jesus incarnate life and teachings, through his atoning death, his resurrection, his sovereign presence through history, and his promised return. 4) Sanctification. The grace of sanctification draws one toward the gift of Christian perfection, which Wesley described as a heart habitually filled with the love of God and neighbor and as having the mind of Christ and walking as he walked. 5) Sacraments. We are surrounded by plentitudes. food is freely available in the West. Information is taken for granted, and we often dont want for nothing. Yet there are signs and many reasons to suggest that we are far from happy despite this new age of overabundance and the freedom it affords us. Life in this age is unsatisfying for many, with people exhibiting clear signs of dissastisfaction, and a sense of unease and angst. • 27. The Diagnostic And Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorder (... Gender dysphoria is a complex struggle between a person s physical gender and who he or she identifies, and this could be an individual physically born as a male that identifies as being female and vice versa. Biological sex is determined at birth based upon the appearance of the infant, but gender identity is how the person feels or how they identify themselves, which is where the dysphoria comes in. It is from highly complex genetic, neurodevelopmental, and psychological factors (Mandal, 2012), and is not the same as homosexuality or gender nonconformity. Symptoms and signs of gender dysphoria may vary depending upon age and gender. Gender dysphoria becomes known as a disorder when it fits certain criteria. Treatment is available when needed. There are speculations on the cause, but no real answer. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder (DSM 5) made changes to ensure clinical care that is proper and without stigma for individuals with gender dysphoria. The DSM 5 does provide an overarching diagnosis, but with specific criteria for children and for adolescents and adults (DSM, 2013). A marked discrepancy between the individual s communicated gender and his or her natal gender must be ongoing at least six months (Parekh, 2016). It combines the 3 dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (x, y, z) with the polar coordinate system (r, θ). The r stands for radius while the θ stands for theta (the angle usually represented in radians). The x and y are replaced with the polar coordinate system while z stays the same. The coordinates are shown in this manner: (r, θ, z). Graphing cylindrical coordinates is easy as long as you know how to graph in polar coordinates and in the 3D Cartesian system. First you look at only the xy planes to locate (r, θ). Start at the positive x axis and go in a counterclockwise direction however many radians or degrees are stated. Then use r to know how far from the pole, center, to go. If r is a negative number, then it is in the opposite side of theta (so θ=ᴨ/4 becomes θ=5ᴨ/4) and r away from the pole. The conversion from (x, y, z) to (r, θ, z) only requires the polar coordinate to Cartesian coordinate equations. Therefore the following equations are used: cos θ=x/r, sin θ=y/r, tan θ=y/x, r2=x2+y2, and z=z (Zill, ... A cone is not much different from a cylinder, but in a cone the radius and z are either directly or inversely proportional, so as z changes, the radius changes with it.
