Snakes are Infected with Ophidian Paramyxovirus Virus
Ophidian paramyxovirus is a virus that affects snakes, particularly in the family Viperidae; it
compromises the immune system, which can lead to mortality through secondary bacterial infections.
This negative sense, single stranded RNA virus infects the respiratory system and can be transmitted
through feces, respiratory tract secretions, fomites, or vectors such as mites; as such, in captivity, good
husbandry practices are critical to prevent transmission of this disease. Paramyxovirus is a viral
pathogen. The natural host and origin for this virus is unknown, but it is possible that it is not a viperid
(5). The first reported outbreak of paramyxovirus in snakes was in a group of Brazilian lancehead
vipers in a serpentarium in Switzerland (1). These vipers were originally from Brazil, so it is likely
that the origin of the virus is found in Brazil (5). The virus itself is an RNA virus consisting of a
filamentous particle enveloped in a spiked membrane, and can be between 140 and 321 nanometers in
diameter. The virus replicates at an optimal temperature of 30°C, so the disease is a particular concern
in colder seasons (3). This virus is easily transmitted between individuals, particularly when they are
housed close to each other. It is most often transmitted through respiratory secretions (2). It can also
be transmitted through aerosols, such as sputum, and oral and cloacal secretions. The virus may persist
in water and may be spread through feces. It can also be

The Nsa And The Terrorist Attacks Against Paris
In wake of the terrorist attacks against Paris, many American political leaders are urging to increase
security measures used to fight terrorism. The question is perpetual, Is government spying necessary
to curtail terrorist acts?
History
The NSA was created on November 4, 1952, by President Harry Truman and was held responsible for
collecting, processing, and distributing intelligence information from foreign electronic signals. The
NSA contributed to the Nation s work in breaking German and Japanese codes during WWII. The
information collected was to be used for national foreign intelligence and counterintelligence purposes
and to support military operations. Although the inner dynamic of the NSA would completely change
after september 11, 2001. Nearly 3,000 Americans were dead in the worst terrorist attack in U.S. And
those working for the NSA felt guilty, as if there was more they could have done. Prior to the attacks,
many hijackers were living in the U.S. We all felt like a great wrong had been done and that we are all
somewhat if not all culpable, remembered J. Kirk Wiebe, a former NSA senior analyst. After 9/11 No
longer would surveillance be limited to foreign targets. Instead, the agency would begin monitoring
virtually all data involving communications flowing through the U.S. without a warrant and without
privacy protections. everything changed at the NSA after the attacks on September 11. The prior
approach focused on complying with the Foreign

Pizza Hut Marketing Brief
Marketing Brief of Pizza Hut
1.) The Company
Brief History of the Company
Pizza Hut® is the family pizza place.
As a matter of fact, we are rooted in family—literally. Two brothers, mom, and $600 turned into the
recipe for the world s largest pizza company in 1958, when a family friend with the idea of opening a
pizza parlor approached the two college age brothers in Kansas. The concept was relatively new at the
time, and the brothers quickly saw the potential of this new enterprise. Borrowing $600 from their
mother, they purchased second hand equipment and rented a small building on a busy intersection in
Wichita, Kansas. The result of their efforts was the first Pizza Hut and the foundation for what would

Disadvantages Of Reverse Osmosis
ABSTRACT
The demand of fresh and pure water is increasing day by day and due to many problems around
different areas of world the supply of fresh water is not up to the desired level. Reverse Osmosis plant,
therefore, helps to prove reliable and energy efficient process in producing the fresh water with many
large plants presently being used around the world. Desalination by RO requires high pumping
pressure in the range of 45 80 bar which is usually supplied by electrical driven pumps in steady state.
This thesis is explaining the cost analysis of replacing these electrical pumps with a wind turbine
driven pumps and concluding that whether this replacement is economically feasible or not. The paper
will cover the comparison of operating and capital cost for these two plants with the aim to determine
that whether wind powered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The membranes are very sensitive to abuse
The pretreatment of feed water is needed
The plant requires high quality equipments and staff
There is a need to carefully discard the Brine as it contains some toxic materials
A reliable source of energy is required
The maintenance costs are relatively high as compare to other methods

The Ethical Pros And Cons Of Animal Testing
A rabbit is sitting in a cramped, icy metal cage. They are lying in a pool of their own blood, for they
have accommodated the neurotic behavior of pulling their own hair out. This innocent hare has gone
through the melancholy torture that is animal testing. Most people deem that animal testing is a form
of cruelty. Animal testing can cause major injury, psychological damage, and even death; how ethical
is it, actually? The opposing side argues that there is not a safe alternative to animal testing. According
to the California Biomedical Research Association, studying cells in a petri dish does not produce an
opportunity to study different reactions that can occur in the circulatory, nervous, endocrine, and
immune systems. (source) By using petri dishes, a result of higher relevancy emerges because they are
actual human cells. There are also methods such as microdosing. Microdosing is the distribution of the
chemicals, doses far too miniscule to be harmful, to living volunteers. This procedure allows scientists
to study how the body reacts and stores the chemicals without any damage or pain done to the
volunteer. Others argue that computer models are only reliable if there has already been information
gathered from animal testing. Due to recent technological advances, sheets of artificial human skin
that is made from authentic human skin cells can be used to test for skin irritants. Microfluidic chips,
human cells designed to function as accurately as human organs, are in

Persuasive Essay On Growing Up
From the day you are born, to the day you die, society applies pressure to who you think you should
be. Growing older does not free you from all the expectations of your youth, and sometimes, wisdom
and freedom do not come with age. Throughout your entire life, you will be told what you should look
like and what you should enjoy doing. Growing up comes with restrictions; more responsibility,
sometimes less stability and a whole new set of expectations for how you should look. You lose the
freedom to dream and explore yourself due to the expectations of others. It can also come with
wisdom, friendship and maybe even love. Kids are told to figure out who they are as people when they
are only young, but they have a long life ahead of them to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Long grey hair and a beard are not things associated with being a baby. Babies are small with no teeth,
they giggle at nothing and always look happy. Once you become a teen, acne is everywhere, hair is
dyed a horrid color and your clothing decisions can be debatable. Adults are put together, old people
look peaceful, heaven forbid someone over the age of 18 has pink hair! What is the point in living
your life, if you cannot be yourself? Life should come with freedom instead of constrictions. It does
not matter how old you are, looking a certain way is not exclusive to any age group. Since you were
young, you have likely heard adults say, Teenagers are lazy, or Wisdom comes with age. These
statements generalize people, making it seem wrong to be an old person who is not the smartest or a
hard working teenager. Consequently, humans tend to conform to these clichés, because they may
become ridiculed if choosing to remain astray. Benjamin is anything but expected, and his behaviors
are not always of typical kids. He eventually tries to fit in, like most people do and acts immaturely.
As Fitzgerald wrote, Thereafter Benjamin contrived to break something every day, but he did these

Censorship In Music
Music is an expressive, vivid form of art. The influence of music has a huge impact with every age
group in the world. When people think of music they automatically think of how it makes them feel
which most of the time is good. They don t comprehend the provocative lyrics or what the song s
meaning really is. People have become used to this insulting and offensive language found on just
about any song. Every song being released today contains some sort of graphical, sexual, or explicit
lyric. Today s graphic music encourages violence, degradation of women , and influences young
children negatively. First of all, censoring graphic, explicit, and sexual lyrics may preserve children s

personality Don Imus referred to a college women s basketball team as nappy headed ho s . Dill also

language is used by minorities in rap music . Rap music has made their own image of what women are
in their eyes and this has caused others to treat females a certain way. Women have always been
portrayed as weak, feisty, helpless, property, and more. Females start to believe this about themselves
having low self esteem, not wanting to be in relationships, and thinking they aren t good enough. In
reality, they might not feel that way, but that s how they are talked about in music so they believe they
need to be that way. According to the author of The public should criticize violent music lyrics,
women are objectified, often in the most obscene and degrading ways (Brownback). For example,

disgusting comments towards women calling her a bitch , stank hoe , dumb bitch , and a chickenhead

Americans Have A Different Attitude Summary
In her article, Americans Have a Different Attitude , the author Yen Le Espiritu presents the issue of
immigrant groups, such as the Filipinos as viewing the United States as in immoral and untraditional
state that has lost sense of it s moral values. The author begins narrating the responses she got from
interviews she conducted within the Filipino community, located in San Diego, California. Many of
these Filipino homes live their lives through the scope of the Filipino Way , which unlike Americans,
means that they value their families, hard work, commitment, marriage and purity through sexual

group into this typical, household wife, that needs to stay inside the home, cook dinner, prepare the
meals for this husband and basically become submissive to her counterpart. Girls had to dress a certain
way, they were strictly forbidden to have sex outside of marriage or face the harsh harassment from
other people, they have curfews as compared to the guys, they couldn t be late out at night, they had to
do all domestic work, and could never be alone with boys or else they were considered a cualquiera ,

family s legacy and reputation. I strongly feel that men should also be taken into consideration, not
just women. Men also lose their virginity and parents also need to be a bit more stricter on the males.

Use Of Language And Concepts Depicted Throughout The...
Expression is imperative to the human condition and is the primary reason why music has managed to
subside throughout the centuries in various forms. For many, music extends beyond rhythm and beat,
and is a means of communicating one s experiences and narrating those experiences to their
comprehension of the world. For African Americans, music was a symbol of cultural identity and a
way to translate the daily oppressions they were forced to endure. Insight and evidence into this is
depicted widely throughout the Spirituals and the Blues, where the hardships of slavery and troubles
associated with being African American are greatly expressed. While African American music has
evolved and new genres have sprung into existence, differences in the ways that they communicate
and express themselves have arisen. However, some aspects have remained similar and language
usage has demonstrated a correlation between the two. The songs Soon I Will Be Done and Trouble in
Mind demonstrate how use of language and concepts depicted within the Blues emits evidence to its
emergence from the spirituals. In the spiritual Soon I Will Be Done , the writer discusses how the
sufferings and difficulties that they are momentarily facing will transcend into a distant memory due
to the hope that is near. This hope is evidently God as the writer clearly states Soon I will be done with
the troubles of the world. Going home to live with God . Throughout the Spiritual, the writer s

The Decision Making Is Defined As A Cognitive Process
Forum 2: Original post Decision Making In life individuals are faced with a continuous flow of
decisions to be made and problems to be solved. Decision making is defined as a cognitive process in
which a choice is developed regarding a belief or course of action from among two or more
alternatives (Robbins Judge, 2009). Individuals compose decisions as a reaction to a problem, a
perceived deviation linking the present condition and a desired condition (Robbins, 2009). For
example, in the radiation oncology field, multiple devices are used to make treatments more accurate,
reproducible, and elevate patient comfort. These devices are used frequently so they quickly become
worn. They must be checked periodically to ensure structural stability and compliance with infectious
control regulations. Employees are given the task of examining the devices, making decisions
regarding the condition of the devices, and reporting what needs to be replaced. Managers and
employees must keep in mind that incessant replacement of these devices is costly and can cause
interruptions in patient care. Managers and employees should compose optimal decisions regarding
the care and replacement of such devices in order to be effective, efficient, and productive. Rational
Decision Making Model One process discussed in organizational behavior for decision making is the
Rational Decision Making Model. This model employs six steps for decision making: 1. Interpret the
problem. 2. Determine the decision

Descriptive Essay About Homework
Gemless As I parked in the gravel filled lot I settled in my car for a few minutes contemplating
homework from each of my classes. I stepped outside with my belongings; there was a slight breeze
from the remnants of Hurricane Harvey. Clouds dotted the orange tinted sky as the sun tried to climb
up to be fully seen. The day right from the start seemed like a good day so I went about smiling and
walked blissfully to my normal seat next to my friends. We prepared for the coming classes that day.
The deafening bell sounded and we were on our way to start the actual day. My classmates and I
walked joyfully through the hallways, joking and laughing before reaching our first period destination.
I made my way to the front of the classroom and sat down. The air was crisp so I took out my jacket
and put it on. Our teacher walked in a few minutes late and started to take attendance. The whole
classroom focused on him. After he finished taking attendance, he slowly reached down into a drawer
and pulled out a stack of papers. I stared in disbelief. The stack of papers he pulled out was actually a
pop test. I took the pop test trying to recall everything that we had learned over the course of two
weeks. I focused on the test for most of the class period and finally turned it in. The morning weather
seemed to just be a ruse. This was not a blissful or good day; it took a turn for the worst. I sat there in

The Daughter Of Time By Joseph Essay
Josephine Tey s The Daughter of Time is a historical novel that looks at the belief that
Richard III, King of England, murdered his two nephews in order to maintain his power. This novel
also supports the belief that the truth comes out through time. In the novel the main character, Grant,
is concerned with what he believes is a unknown fact of whether or not the long ago King of England
was guilty. Throughout his search for the answer Grant discovers many history books which all tend to
view Richard in different ways. It is from these different views of the same man, that one can draw the
conclusion that bias plays a major role in the validity and credibility of documents and personal
accounts. So what is the role and in what ways ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Personal accounts and documents are often overlooked or considered unbelievable because they
cannot be considered valid due to the bias opinions of the writer. As historians many find this
discouraging because they have no account of what really happened and only have what can be read
from the writings of others. In the media bias plays a role in the validity of certain things. An example,
just one out of the many, where bias plays a role in the credibility of certain events is the Pocahontas
story. With out going into too much detail it is safe to say that the Disney version was very much
altered from the real version. Pocahontas was a nickname for the naughty one the girls real name in
this legend was Matoaka. [visit http://www.powhatan.org/pocc.html to see what is being referred to]
If bias continues to effect how valid certain past documents are, the documents which help to base our
future, than what do we as historians have to go on?
When one takes The Daughter of Time and looks closely another name for daughter one may come up
with is truth. The truth is what eventually evolves after time. The truth comes out through time, is a
statement which this book The Daughter of Time demonstrated very well. It showed how
Grant found evidence to support his belief that Richard the III was in fact innocent. It took many years
for someone to realize this but that is the role of time in this case. Grant used information from books,
which had been

The Fight Over Assisted Suicide
Over the last thirty years the fight over assisted suicide has earned a spot in the national spotlight, for
both positive and negative reasons depending on your stance on the issue. There have been challenges
made based off the constitution, the right to privacy and moral reasons for both sides. While there
have been many notable persons of interest during this time some have helped the cause as others have
hindered progress.
There have been attempts to challenge physician assisted suicide based off the Fourteenth amendment
of the constitution and the Due Process Clause. Those in favor have argued that in not allowing people
access to physician assisted suicide is a violation of the Due Process Clause which was heard during
the case of Cruzan v. Director, Missouri Department of Health in which the Supreme Court ruled it
was the patients right to refuse medical treatment, even if refusal would lead to death (Cruzan v.
Director, MHD). The Supreme Court also heard the case of Washington v. Glucksberg in 1997 during
which time there were four physicians arguing that Washington s assisted suicide ban was
unconstitutional because it violated the Fourteenth Amendments Due Process Clause by placing undue
burden of the liberty. The case was being arguing on behalf of four terminally ill patients. It was ruled

Assess The Role Of Responsible Government Essay
This is not to say independent MPs are unable to voice their constituents concerns, merely that by
design, responsible government is fashioned through negative control in other words, by dissenting
votes through votes of confidence, non confidence or rejecting money bills, and thereby calling a new
election. Cabinet acts; Parliament scrutinizes their actions. For instance, although Donald Savoie
wrote that Parliament continues to move away from one of its central roles, he stressed that its
foundational mold was Gladstone s instruction to his MPs that You are not here to govern, but rather
to hold to account those who do. Consequently, ministerial responsibility sets the stage for the fused
executive legislature. Through collective ministerial responsibility, the entire party ... Show more

In Bagehot s terms, contrary to Thomas Hockin s argument, [s]ince Confederation, the theory [sic] of
parliamentary procedure is not necessarily anti specialist. Hockin conceptualized MPs outside
committees as jack of all trades but specialists of none, since only due to standing committees can
multipartisan MPs somehow perceive that they have a lawmaker role. Responsible government, by
definition, relies on explicit, visible political responsibility from a select group Cabinet Ministers may
not be accountable for failures in administration, but the political consequences is clear. Writing at the

Abstract
This project us gave the opportunity to analyze and explore performance management system at Bajaj
Allianz. We have explored the performance appraisal part of the same namely understanding the
Talent Management System (TMS) and its use in Bajaj Allianz. How they differentiate between
potential and performance and how they rate a team Member on Performance and Potential to finally
arrive at the overall TMS rating.

However, there must be consistency in the rating provided to an individual through the two systems.
Performance and potential
Bajaj Allianz differentiates clearly differentiates between performance and potential. These two form
the basis of PMS at Bajaj
Performance refers to the actual performance exhibited by a Team Member in their daily activities and
is measured in terms of Target Achievement.
Performance = Past + Current
Potential refers to the inherent ability or capacity of a Team Member to take on higher roles in the near
future.
It is measured on the basis of:
Ability to learn and contribute to own and other areas of work ,display of energy, enthusiasm, and
positive attitude, ability to serve Customers better, ability to develop relationship and collaborate with
people to work more effectively
Potential = Future (Potential to grow into a higher role in the next 2 year
Assessing Performance
Performance for the purpose of the TMS activity is classified into four performance categories, as
under Assessing Potential
Potential is assessed on the following 4 areas
Each of these areas need to be rated on the following scale:
Scale Rating
Best in Class: The person proactively grabbed every opportunity that presented itself and was found
outstanding in this area. The person can be compared to the best in the industry and sets benchmarks.

Pecola Race
Through the dynamic characters and character experiences that occur within the book, Toni Morrison
is able to illustrate a racist America where society reinforces the idea that the white race is superior.
Colored characters are taught by society that their own race is subordinate and that they are not worthy
of the same amount of respect as their superiors. These characters continue to teach this idea within
their race and create an ideology that even within the same race appearance decides whether or not a
person is worthy. This instills the idea of self hatred and the longing to be a blue eyed middle class
person. Characters associate the white and blue eyes with that of economic stability and self worth.

of the effect that this idea has had on Pecola s life. There is a constant pattern in the book where
characters admire others as though they were hoping to one day attain their characteristics. Characters
in the story develop an unrealistic and unhealthy admiration for white personas that further make them
believe that they are worth less. For example, Pecola and her friend Frieda are mesmerized and almost
hypnotized by Shirley Temples perceived beauty (put page number here). Similarly to Pecola, Mrs.

Impact Of Greek Culture
Greek culture, in my opinion, contributed the most to the development of other future civilizations
culture. They paved the way to what is known about Greek and their culture as of today. With the idea
of their Religion, Art, Worship of many Gods, and ancient Greek music being the focal point of it all.
Which happens to be a great deal of the reason I chose Greek culture as my answer. Majority of the
time when you discuss Greece you bring up their past or how Greece came about and the impact past
Greek culture made on their people. This is what led me to believe their past culture in relation to the
contribution, development, and the impact it had on other civilizations would be the perfect answer
due to my acquisition that it had a much ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Greeks music was probably the most culturally influential aspect out of all the things the Greeks
practiced. Their music also tied in other aspects of their culture which they loved to display in their
songs, and through their art. A great example of this is THE METER OF THE ILIAD AND THE
ODYSSEY which is a song based on the clash between two Gods Odysseus and Achilleus this piece is
only a stepping stone into what Greek music developed into as future civilizations came about.
Although this was early music Greek songs like this one are the ones that paved the way and made a
huge development as to what we know as Greek music, and made a great deal of impact on how they
display their music as of now throughout their culture.
When you view Greece as of today you would see a great deal of beautiful art, statues, vase paintings
and so on... A lot of these items are pieces of the past but are still being displayed throughout other
civilizations. While reading the text you will learn the Greeks art played a huge role in their culture
including many stages of art such as Geometric Art, Orientalizing Art, Archaic Art, and Vase painting.
These stages of art were the building blocks of art throughout other civilizations some are still
practiced and some are just treasures of the past to show how Greek culture came about.
To conclude the impact Greece made on other civilizations were through their art forms,

Zoonotic Diseases Research Paper
Zoonotic diseases is a serious and major concern to human health. What is a zoonosis? Zoonoses are
diseases that are caused by pathogens that can infect different animals that has the ability to pass to
humans. Zoonotic pathogens also destroy biodiversity in fragile wildlife. They cause many effects to
humans in many different ways. Zoonosis are very important to study because scientists await a
challenge on developing vaccines on a developing cure on human aids. Zoontic diseases are dangerous

Zoonoses shows more existence in places where there are rates of poverty. Many people that reside in
poor rural areas are more likely to eat infected meat because it is cheaper than organic meat. People
that live in places of poverty are more likely to acquire a zoonotic disease because the people are at a
high risk to be apt and to be exposed to zoonotic diseases and infections. Zoonotic diseases are
difficult to get rid of because people who live in poverty stricken areas have less of a chance to afford
to get approbate care to the disease that they receive. Infonet biovision states that there are many
reasons that zoonotic diseases are more common in places of poverty because of unkept or below par
sanitary conditions. Poor sanitary conditions in poverty stricken areas receive more of a chance of
getting a zoonotic disease because the area shows an absence of currency to build well built and
reliable sanitary units. Until the sanitary conditions are upgraded people that live in these areas have
the same or more of a chance of getting these diseases. Another reason as to why people that are living
in poverty are more likely to receive a zoonotic disease is due to the lack of good veterinarian s and
public health services because of the scarcity of veterinary services makes the situation in poverty
stricken areas for the individuals that can not afford the appropriate service that the animals needs.
Many of theses zoonotic diseases in these poor areas result in a crippling disease to the individual.

Using Financial Instruments to Hedge Hedging through the use of financial instruments is whereby
instruments such as forwards, options and money markets are used to manage the risk of foreign

another method, this contract is a loan agreement whereby a firm borrows in one currency and

This type of hedging is whereby foreign exchange exposures in outflows of cash are offset by inflows
of cash through matching of transactions (i.e. Revenues and Expenses). Natural hedging focuses on
operating cash flows; for example a receivable is offset by a payable in the same currency without the
use of financial instruments, this however requires consideration of synchronising values of the cash

Tommy John Research Paper
Tommy John Surgery
Tommy John surgery, or more well known as ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, is a surgery in
which a ligament in the medial elbow is replaced with a ligament from elsewhere in the body. This
replacement ligament is usually taken from the forearm, hamstring, or foot of the patient. This
ligament is needed for everyday things such as twisting a doorknob. This injury is usually seen in
professional baseball pitchers because of the daily repetitive throwing and because of violent motions
from throwing a baseball. RA Dickey was born without a UCL and pitches in the majors. Doctors still
do not know how he can do this because you should not be able to do anything this way.
A torn elbow ligament was the most common cause of The Dead Arm Injury era, the 20th century.
This was uncommon before this time. Long before then, because of the lack of research on the injury,
this gave pitcher s a 1 in 100 chance of returning and being able to pitch. Until in 1974
Dr. Frank Jobe developed a procedure for pitcher Tommy John (who the surgery was named after).
With vivid research of the ligaments inside the medial elbow he developed a way to make the elbow
back to normal strength or in some cases much more stronger. This surgery consisted of the new

pitchers to have to undergo this surgery at one point in their career. Some people believe this is

Noki The Nokia 9000 Communicator
Introduction
In recent years, more and more smartphone developers arise and variety of products are launched in
the market. The emergence of smartphone and the competition among smartphone platforms are
becoming more important and urgent although there aren t many information about it. Hence in this
essay, I am going to contribute my analysis and findings to this topic.
To chase back to 1996, the first smartphone was released by Nokia the Nokia 9000 Communicator. At
that time, Symbian, BlackBerry OS, Windows Mobile were some of the few competitors competing
on their operating system in the market. (Pocketnow, 2014) However back to present, Apple,
Samsung, Sony, HTC, Blackberry, etc are currently the most common brands. While Samsung and
Apple are the leading brands in the market, according to a statistic by Canaccord Genuity (2015),
Apple claims 92% of the global smartphone profits, following by Samsung of 14% (Wall Street
Journal, 2015). And Android is having 81.5%, IOS 14.8% of the 2014 market share according to IDC.
(IDC, 2015)
In the following, I will analyze on the competition in Smartphone markets by exploring: the model/
theory of monopolistic competition, the emergence of ecosystem in smartphone market, the business
strategies used by manufacturers, and analyze the evolution of the market. Lastly I will talk about the
differences between platform competition and competition among Smartphone producers, and whether
and why eventually a few firms will dominate the

Bernini and Borromini: The Two Faces of the Baroque
Rivalry pushes man to become better, to improve, to try and reach incredible levels of perfection. In
art, rivalry between geniuses has often resulted in masterpiece. Indeed, it was a rivalry between two
men that shaped beautiful and modern nature of seventeenth century Baroque Rome. The story of
Bernini and Borromini, and their impacts on Baroque architecture, is one of the most dominant
periods of time in the history of Rome.
Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco Borromini spent their professional lives locked in a complex
rivalry that spans the duration of the seventeenth century. The profound differences between the lives
and personalities of these two, reflected in work still evident in Rome today, have been a hotbed for
debate and praise. Always a competition, Bernini and Borromini have produced some of the most
beautiful staples in Roman architecture, sculpture and space. The stark contrast in fundamental design

The Theory Of Management Theory And Practice
Conrad Hilton Sr. once said Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep
moving. They make mistakes but they don t quit (Our Hospitality Leaders, 2013). Conrad Hilton
attributes his success in business to his management philosophy of treating people fairly. Conrad was
a people oriented person, hiring and empowering his managers to make important decisions for the
hotel. He encouraged and supported his employees to provide excellent service for the travelers and
customers staying, and doing business in the hotel. This philosophy can also serve as a simplistic way
of defining management: organizing and coordinating daily business activities to achieve
organizational goals. Since the early 1900 s several methodologies have been used to explain the nuts
and bolts , and processes of management theory and practice. Throughout the evolutionary process of
management theory and practice four major schools and approaches have been identified: the classical
approach, the behavioral approach, the management science approach, and contemporary approach.
The classical approach to management is the oldest school of thought dating back to the late 1890 s
and losing favor by the 1940 s. The contributions to the classic school of management included
increasing productivity of the organization, and that of the worker, as well as providing the framework
for management of diverse organizations. This methodology was a marriage of scientific,

Design Of Maximum Power Point Tracker With Mechanical System
ABSTRACT
The present report describes the different modules involved in the design of a maximum power point
tracker with mechanical system (MPPT). The system uses four light dependent resistances (LRD) to
measure the light intensity on the four sides of a solar panel then, using two steppers motor, rotates the
panel in the direction of the LRD which measures the maximum light intensity. The power output
from the panel is used to charge a twelves Volts battery through a DC DC buck converter.

The main challenges identified from OCHA Situation Report No. 13 and my proposed actions to
overcome the challenges are as follows:
(a) The security situation remains as a challenge to operate humanitarian actions including conduct
vaccination activities, campaign for vaccination, smooth delivery of the programmes and emergency
assistance packages.
The security challenges in operating humanitarian actions and its consequences should be
communicated to the Government as well as to the Militias groups through media and all other

(e) Access to information remains a challenge in reopening of the schools.
Adequate campaign through the local leaders and local NGOs and CBOs and local media campaign
could reduce the information gaps and well as over this challenge.
(f) Obtaining reliable and updated IDP population figures is a significant challenge.
This challenge could be overcome through developing a database and conducting rapid survey to the
IDP camps both inside and outside the country. I think estimating the IDP population is important for a
reliable and effective plan for both humanitarian as well as long term development interventions.
(g) Another major challenge is accessing information on human rights violations and collecting
protection related information.
Awareness raising of the community leaders is very important in strengthening protection as well as
accessing information on human rights violations. Training could be organized for the community
leaders and volunteers on t his issue as well as local NGOs and CBOs could be supported for
collecting information and provide support to the victims of violence.

Every year millions of people get in vehicular accidents that cause expensive repairs and sometimes
trauma for the drivers. While collision avoidance systems are very advanced and well developed, most
systems are too expensive for the average consumer. Our team s general mission is to reduce the
likelihood of car crashes by improving an aspect in the car that either keeps the driver more engaged
while driving or assisting the driver in various tasks such as stopping and lane changes. Along with the

Cars with built in systems are not without their faults. Other than their limited availability and high
cost, it is also rare to find a car that has all the features of collision avoidance systems available. Often
times car manufacturers will only offer the warning systems without the features that can actually
control a car independent of a driver. Also these systems do not guarantee that the vehicle will not get
into a crash even when the car can control its speed and tire position. Another problem is that the
system is directly integrated into the pieces of the car such as the bumper, mirrors, etc. which makes
repairs extremely expensive. When looking at potential demographics for our product, we found a
phone survey conducted Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, we found that 83% of parents would
not be willing to buy their child a brand new car. With that many parents buying used cars, a lot of
those teens will not have the luxurious access to built in car safety. To visualize how large the
difference is, here is a simple pie chart on the topic: Another factor that led us to focus on teen drivers
was a study in 2014, also conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, that stated that
48% of teenagers who died in a driving accident died in a car that was at least 11 years old. Seeing this
statistic made us realize that we wanted to develop a product that could be attached to cars that are not

Hamlet And The Basic Human Need For Truth
Hamlet and the Basic Human Need for Truth Marcus Aurelius is quoted as saying, Everything we hear
is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth. This idea is examined in
William Shakespeare s Hamlet, a play full of warmly delivered lies and completely intentional deceit.
Hamlet himself shows how a life full of lies and deceit breeds a desire for something real. In the
beginning of the play, authenticity is introduced as a rare trait and the Ghost reveals treachery to
Hamlet setting him on a path that leads to his demise. Hamlet s actions are motivated by a search for
something real and true in both his life and himself and in this search he comments on the nature of
truth itself.
Within Shakespeare s Hamlet resides a strong theme of illusion and reality shown in the attention that
is drawn to the seeming and being within the characters. The play itself is about acting because not
only are actors required to act out the parts that are written, but also the characters themselves are
acting. They put on a facade just as an actor assumes a role on the stage (Bloom 11). Rosencrantz and
Guildenstern seem to be concerned friends. Instead, they are simply acting as such because they are
charged by the king to find the origin of Hamlet s peculiar behavior. Gertrude seems to be the dutiful
queen that married Claudius for the benefit of the kingdom itself while she has simply failed to grieve
her husband, dishonored his memory by marring so soon after

Importance Of Three Texts In The Death Of The Ball Turret...
Walt Disney, a very famous animation creator said, There is more treasure in books than in all the
pirate s loot on Treasure Island. Books have influenced mankind in multiple different ways. Books,
such as the Bible and the Koran, have not only changes people s religious perspective, but have also
helped people s live have more meaning. Books tell a story that a reader is able to envision in his or
her mind easily. This semester in Room 303, Mr. McGee has studied many texts with his students. So,
when asked the question of which three texts were the most important, one may not know how to
respond. After close examination and careful thinking, however, it is obvious what three texts must be
the most important. In, The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner, Jarrell proves that his story is important
by portraying the message that war is more brutal than many people think, so it is important to respect
those who fight for a country. He explained how men constantly risk their lives and complete
dangerous missions everyday just for the sake of their country. This author writes of a very brutal war
time. He describes an event that most readers would not understand without prior knowledge or a
historic background. Jarrell writes, From my mother s sleep I fell into the State... (1). These men, who
are hanging upside down for nearly eight hours a day, had adapted the ability to sleep while they were

quickly see similar growth rates that translate into material change over several years (Exhibit 8). An
effective implementation strategy will allot enough time for workers to familiarize themselves with

issues the plant might be facing. The Management Team can emphasize a push toward execution
through learning and would also force the plant out of complacency through redefinition of its overall
goals.
Recommendation 2: Formation of Committees
Creating five different committees can introduce a reciprocal interdependence between management
and frontline workers (Exhibit 10). Aiming to eliminate the issues caused by misaligned goals,
workforce complacency, and poor leadership, the committees will serve as a channel for
communication, instrument for instilling accountability, and a medium for mentorship.
The structure of each committee will allow for decision making input from both front line workers and
management. Committees will meet on a biweekly basis to discuss issues arising in the plant s daily
operations. Since management currently has a poor record for handling employee grievances, the
intent of these committees will be to build a psychologically safe, trusting, and collaborative
environment where issues are presented and addressed in a timely manner. Committees will also be

Lack of psychological safety within the team members failed to fix cognitive bias of irrationality. If
members developed trust within the team, cognitive bias could have been prevented or at least
minimized. The truth that climbers might make irrational decisions and find it hard to turn back when
they are so closed to the summit was obvious, but teammates seeing this problem did not speak up
since they did not feel that their thoughts were welcome and felt uneasy. More cognitive biases could
also been prevented to lessen the complex system of the expedition. Since climbing Mt. Everest is
already a high risk venture, any additional problems such as irrational decisions can cause a crisis.
Using the early sign of issues with Hall s team s progress, it was obvious that the probability of failing
the expedition was high before the team even started. Hall could have used the issues as a sign of the
complex systems that exist, and could have used this knowledge to prevent any irrational decisions.
The complex systems and the lack of psychological safety also contributed to the tragedy. The team
members failed to communicate and trust each other, which then added more problems to the complex
systems. For instance, Boukreev s could have spoken up to his team leader, Fischer, about his
concerns regarding his team members lacking experience to begin with. By speaking up, he could
have prevented more chain reaction due to lack of communications and feedback within the

Masculinity as Homophobia by Michael S. Kimmel
As with a great majority of men in the world today, it is easier for me to give hugs than to accept
them. This is not my own doing, but rather centuries of men before myself being taught that the
outward expression of emotion, in any facet, was a direct form of weakness. This has led to adverse
affects in regards to a new generation of man that I find myself apart of now. This belief has forged a
lack of sentiment within men, all in the name of being a man. Do not take it the wrong way, as if to
say a lack of compassion is a bad thing, they teach young men. It is actually the contrary in a growing
market economy. As we shift to a more global marketplace, empathy of any sort is the cog in the
wheel that holds a man back in an attempt to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Men are all putting on a mask, in an attempt to hide their true selves from other males. Kimmel
suggest that society begins to use politics of inclusion or that the definition of manhood be widened to
help end the gender struggle.
For good or for worse, young boys have continuously been shaped in history to suppress any
femininity. Yes, centuries ago this was a very helpful trait seeing how wars were being waged and
exploration was at its height, but like anything times have changed. Increases in feminist and LGBTQ
movements have given men the ability to fully embrace who they really are, yet times have not caught
up to this fact. Men continue to put on a façade for one another that inhibit them. Behind closed doors,
men are fully able to embrace their true selves, but the moment they are confronted with other males,
the battle of machismo begins:
If I catch any one man, and he s alone, I get along fine with him. But just let two of the guys get
together an you won t talk. Jus nothing but mad.... You re all scared of each other, that s what. Ever
one of you s scared the rest is goin to get something on you (Steinbeck).
There is a constant unspoken battle of brawn being waged by men in society. It is what causes us to
have to get the fastest car or the cutest girl. There is always room to do better than

Counseling Family Confidentiality
Chapter 10: Counseling Families and Groups Counseling families can be difficult to enforce
confidentiality that can be difficult t o make obligatory in group settings. Therefore, counselors should
make extra efforts to ensure that group members understand the concept on how important
confidentiality is (Remley Herlihy, 2014, p.271). Chapter 10 provides information on developing
diversity and values in family and group counseling.
How is confidentiality different when counseling couples, families, or groups, as opposed to
counseling an individual client? According to the text book, confidentiality is different with couples
and families due to privileged communication. When dealing with married couples, there are
situations where stressful topics are discussed between the husband and the wife and later on a divorce
may occur. One of the spouses may want a counselor to repeat confidential information in a legal
court about the other spouse during their counseling sessions, whereas, the other spouse wants to keep
her information enclosed ( Remley Herlihy, 2014, p.256).When counseling an individual client, the
client is the only person that the counselor have to obligate to when ensuring confidentiality. ACA
Codes of Ethics states that in a couples and family counseling, counselors clearly defines who is
considered the client and discusses expectation and limitation of confidentiality, ( 2014, Standard

As Antonio deepens his understanding of the river and the forces of nature that surround it, he begins
to understand the human journey and his destiny.
Ultima teaches Antonio of this magical strength as she tries to help him understand the murder of
Narciso. The townspeople do not seek justice because Narciso had been the town drunk and his life
seemed worthless, Because Narciso was the town drunk, nobody cared much . Ultima explains that
Narciso had died trying to help a friend and that was honorable. Once Narciso had been a respectable
young man but hard times had fallen upon him after the death of his young wife. Narciso had turned to
alcohol to ease the pain but had remained forever indebted to Ultima for trying to save his wife.
Ultima uses the death of Narciso to teach Antonio the ways of his ancestors. She explains, The old
people...always helped each other; through good or bad they stuck together, and the friendships that
were formed in that desolate llano were bonds for life . It was through Ultima that Antonio discovers
life is not what is always seems. Narciso had died trying to warn Ultima but few remembered anything
good about him. Narciso had an inner goodness that had been hidden by his use of alcohol. Ultima
taught Antonio to see the magic in Narciso, just as she had thought him to see the magic in the river
and all that surrounded it.

Haitian-American Religious Beliefs
Religious Beliefs and Rituals
Approximately 90 percent of Haitians are Catholic and 10 % are Protestant (Jacobson, 2003). Within
the Haitian American community, however, Voodoo exists side by side with Christian faiths. Jacobson
goes on to explain that many Haitians see no contradiction in calling themselves Christians while
engaging in Voodoo practices (2003). In Haiti, Catholicism is highly ritualistic and religious practices
combine the ancient rituals of African based cultures with Western based faith practices. Jacobson
explains that Voodoo cosmology is made up of a large numbers of supernatural spirits...these spirits
are believed to have great influence on human beings and for that reason, they must be respected
(2003).

Gospel Of Luke And Book Of Acts Comparison Essay
There is a lot more in common between the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts than just the
authorship of these two works. The two works, separated in the canon by the Fourth Gospel, are two
volumes of a single literary project. The prologues themselves describe how the works differ from
each other and how they relate to one another as well. The Gospel of Luke covers the ground up until
Jesus s ascension (Lk 24:50 53), and the Book of Acts picks up with the retelling of ascension (Acts
1:1 2). The first volume, being the Gospel of Luke fits well among the other Gospels, where we see a
long introduction being narrated similar to the other gospels. Acts clearly has a different purpose,
where to prologue is not as lengthy and only offers a small ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The warning signs spoken of in Lk 21:8 19 are echoed in the arrest of Stephen (Lk 21:15; Acts 6:10)
as well as the future arrests and persecutions of the apostles. Furthermore, in the speech of Stephen,
the longest discourse in Acts, we see an elaboration of what is narrated in Lk 24:27, where Christ
began with Moses and all the prophets, interpreting scripture that was pointing to him. In Acts 7, we
hear the same defense, or exposition, in detail as Stephen refers to Moses prefiguring Christ. In
addition to that, the journey of Paul for trial at Rome in Acts continues the overarching theme and
story of salvation that begins in the Gospel of Luke. In Luke we see the ministry of Jesus ending as he
marches to Jerusalem, on the way to his trial. In Acts 21, Paul visits Jerusalem for his trial and the is
on the way to another trial in Rome. The first few chapters of Luke play as a transition between the
Israelites and the ministry of Christ. Then, the first few chapters of Acts serve as a transition between
the ministry of Christ to the ministry of the disciples. Last but not least, Paul on his way to his trial is
the transition from the ministry of the disciples to the ministry of the life of the Church now that the
disciples have founded. In addition to that, throughout Paul s ministry, we see an echo of Lk 10, where
Christ warns the seventy two disciples about the difficulties they will face. In Acts

The Use Of Tone In Phillis Wheatley s Letter To General...
Tone is a literary compound of composition, which shows the attitudes toward the subject and toward
the audience implied in a literary work. Diction is the word and choices of phrases in a speech or
writing. Both work hand in hand to convey attitude and feeling towards the audience which in Phillis
Wheately s case is George Washington.
Wheatley is a slave who writes a letter to General George Washington, which in fact had owned more
than 200 slaves making the letter even more remarkable for the way she addresses him. Wheatley uses
a humble tone, a respectful tone, and carefully chooses her words to praise General
Washington.

Washington by addressing him with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wheatley is approaching Washington humbly and making the reader feel strong for his position and
responsibility. She then states it herself when she ends the letter by boldly remarking, I am,Your
Excellency s most obedient humble servant, Phillis Wheatley. This signature exclaims that she is at his
service if anything is needed and that she would be willing to help out. The diction she used to
describe her humbleness was wise due to the willingness she portrays.
Second, throughout the whole letter Wheatley treats
Washington with respect by using word sir. Similarly to her humble strategy, Wheatley refers to
Washington as a minor would refer to an elder. She speaks to him with such formality, which is it is
well known that he is a person with a high rank. In no time does she refer to him as a friend or
someone that is the same status asher which brings
Washington to realize that she is a mature woman with a well shaped character. Her use of diction also
lets her audience know that she is very intelligent which at that time was not common for a slave to

The Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex
Introduction
The Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex is a great place for business. It is home to multiple companies and
their corporate headquarters and with an international airport, open trade routes, multiple universities
and academic institutions it proves to be the perfect location for businesses and professionals alike.
One such company that is headquartered in Plano, TX, and is an example of a thriving organization in
the area, is the Dr Pepper Snapple Group. A mostly domestic company, with most of its business
located in North American and Mexico, the DPS Group is a manufacturer of nonalcoholic beverages
in the beverage industry and is third in overall market share (after Coca Cola and Pepsico). The
beverage industry is steady and growing, but the nonalcoholic beverage portion of the industry is
facing many challenges with carbonated soft drinks declining in sales due to a more health conscious
population. Analyzing the DPS Group and how they are dealing with these challenges was very
interesting, as I have always been a Dr Pepper fan and would hate to see them go out of business or
die out in the market. I have known people who have worked for the company and loved it, and I hope
to work for them someday as well. I collected my research on the company through their website,
articles and journals, and my own knowledge of the company and research into the company history
through a visit to the Dr Pepper museum.
Company Overview Ever since the invention of carbonated

  • 2. Snakes are Infected with Ophidian Paramyxovirus Virus Ophidian paramyxovirus is a virus that affects snakes, particularly in the family Viperidae; it compromises the immune system, which can lead to mortality through secondary bacterial infections. This negative sense, single stranded RNA virus infects the respiratory system and can be transmitted through feces, respiratory tract secretions, fomites, or vectors such as mites; as such, in captivity, good husbandry practices are critical to prevent transmission of this disease. Paramyxovirus is a viral pathogen. The natural host and origin for this virus is unknown, but it is possible that it is not a viperid (5). The first reported outbreak of paramyxovirus in snakes was in a group of Brazilian lancehead vipers in a serpentarium in Switzerland (1). These vipers were originally from Brazil, so it is likely that the origin of the virus is found in Brazil (5). The virus itself is an RNA virus consisting of a filamentous particle enveloped in a spiked membrane, and can be between 140 and 321 nanometers in diameter. The virus replicates at an optimal temperature of 30°C, so the disease is a particular concern in colder seasons (3). This virus is easily transmitted between individuals, particularly when they are housed close to each other. It is most often transmitted through respiratory secretions (2). It can also be transmitted through aerosols, such as sputum, and oral and cloacal secretions. The virus may persist in water and may be spread through feces. It can also be ... This innocent hare has gone through the melancholy torture that is animal testing. Most people deem that animal testing is a form of cruelty. Animal testing can cause major injury, psychological damage, and even death; how ethical is it, actually? The opposing side argues that there is not a safe alternative to animal testing. According to the California Biomedical Research Association, studying cells in a petri dish does not produce an opportunity to study different reactions that can occur in the circulatory, nervous, endocrine, and immune systems. (source) By using petri dishes, a result of higher relevancy emerges because they are actual human cells. There are also methods such as microdosing. Microdosing is the distribution of the chemicals, doses far too miniscule to be harmful, to living volunteers. This procedure allows scientists to study how the body reacts and stores the chemicals without any damage or pain done to the volunteer. Others argue that computer models are only reliable if there has already been information gathered from animal testing. Expression is imperative to the human condition and is the primary reason why music has managed to subside throughout the centuries in various forms. For many, music extends beyond rhythm and beat, and is a means of communicating one s experiences and narrating those experiences to their comprehension of the world. For African Americans, music was a symbol of cultural identity and a way to translate the daily oppressions they were forced to endure. Insight and evidence into this is depicted widely throughout the Spirituals and the Blues, where the hardships of slavery and troubles associated with being African American are greatly expressed. While African American music has evolved and new genres have sprung into existence, differences in the ways that they communicate and express themselves have arisen. However, some aspects have remained similar and language usage has demonstrated a correlation between the two. The songs Soon I Will Be Done and Trouble in Mind demonstrate how use of language and concepts depicted within the Blues emits evidence to its emergence from the spirituals. In the spiritual Soon I Will Be Done , the writer discusses how the sufferings and difficulties that they are momentarily facing will transcend into a distant memory due to the hope that is near. • 18. The Decision Making Is Defined As A Cognitive Process Forum 2: Original post Decision Making In life individuals are faced with a continuous flow of decisions to be made and problems to be solved. Decision making is defined as a cognitive process in which a choice is developed regarding a belief or course of action from among two or more alternatives (Robbins Judge, 2009). Individuals compose decisions as a reaction to a problem, a perceived deviation linking the present condition and a desired condition (Robbins, 2009). For example, in the radiation oncology field, multiple devices are used to make treatments more accurate, reproducible, and elevate patient comfort. These devices are used frequently so they quickly become worn. They must be checked periodically to ensure structural stability and compliance with infectious control regulations. Employees are given the task of examining the devices, making decisions regarding the condition of the devices, and reporting what needs to be replaced. Managers and employees must keep in mind that incessant replacement of these devices is costly and can cause interruptions in patient care. Managers and employees should compose optimal decisions regarding the care and replacement of such devices in order to be effective, efficient, and productive. Rational Decision Making Model One process discussed in organizational behavior for decision making is the Rational Decision Making Model. This model employs six steps for decision making: 1. • 32. Tommy John Research Paper Tommy John Surgery Tommy John surgery, or more well known as ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, is a surgery in which a ligament in the medial elbow is replaced with a ligament from elsewhere in the body. This replacement ligament is usually taken from the forearm, hamstring, or foot of the patient. This ligament is needed for everyday things such as twisting a doorknob. This injury is usually seen in professional baseball pitchers because of the daily repetitive throwing and because of violent motions from throwing a baseball. RA Dickey was born without a UCL and pitches in the majors. Doctors still do not know how he can do this because you should not be able to do anything this way. A torn elbow ligament was the most common cause of The Dead Arm Injury era, the 20th century. This was uncommon before this time. Long before then, because of the lack of research on the injury, this gave pitcher s a 1 in 100 chance of returning and being able to pitch. Until in 1974 Dr. Frank Jobe developed a procedure for pitcher Tommy John (who the surgery was named after). • 40. Hamlet And The Basic Human Need For Truth Hamlet and the Basic Human Need for Truth Marcus Aurelius is quoted as saying, Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth. This idea is examined in William Shakespeare s Hamlet, a play full of warmly delivered lies and completely intentional deceit. Hamlet himself shows how a life full of lies and deceit breeds a desire for something real. In the beginning of the play, authenticity is introduced as a rare trait and the Ghost reveals treachery to Hamlet setting him on a path that leads to his demise. Hamlet s actions are motivated by a search for something real and true in both his life and himself and in this search he comments on the nature of truth itself. Within Shakespeare s Hamlet resides a strong theme of illusion and reality shown in the attention that is drawn to the seeming and being within the characters. The play itself is about acting because not only are actors required to act out the parts that are written, but also the characters themselves are acting. They put on a facade just as an actor assumes a role on the stage (Bloom 11). Rosencrantz and Guildenstern seem to be concerned friends. Instead, they are simply acting as such because they are charged by the king to find the origin of Hamlet s peculiar behavior. In addition to that, the journey of Paul for trial at Rome in Acts continues the overarching theme and story of salvation that begins in the Gospel of Luke. In Luke we see the ministry of Jesus ending as he marches to Jerusalem, on the way to his trial. In Acts 21, Paul visits Jerusalem for his trial and the is on the way to another trial in Rome. The first few chapters of Luke play as a transition between the Israelites and the ministry of Christ. Then, the first few chapters of Acts serve as a transition between the ministry of Christ to the ministry of the disciples. Last but not least, Paul on his way to his trial is the transition from the ministry of the disciples to the ministry of the life of the Church now that the disciples have founded. It is home to multiple companies and their corporate headquarters and with an international airport, open trade routes, multiple universities and academic institutions it proves to be the perfect location for businesses and professionals alike. One such company that is headquartered in Plano, TX, and is an example of a thriving organization in the area, is the Dr Pepper Snapple Group. A mostly domestic company, with most of its business located in North American and Mexico, the DPS Group is a manufacturer of nonalcoholic beverages in the beverage industry and is third in overall market share (after Coca Cola and Pepsico). The beverage industry is steady and growing, but the nonalcoholic beverage portion of the industry is facing many challenges with carbonated soft drinks declining in sales due to a more health conscious population. Analyzing the DPS Group and how they are dealing with these challenges was very interesting, as I have always been a Dr Pepper fan and would hate to see them go out of business or die out in the market. I have known people who have worked for the company and loved it, and I hope to work for them someday as well. I collected my research on the company through their website, articles and journals, and my own knowledge of the company and research into the company history through a visit to the Dr Pepper museum.
