The Narrator In Bruiser By Neal Shusterman
In my book, Bruiser by Neal Shusterman, the most interesting character to me is Brewster. He is a
very reserved character in the book, he has a big secret that has not told anybody other than his family.
He is one of those character that you don t know much about but they captivate you into trying to
figure out what is there big secret. Bruiser is the nickname of Brewster Rawlins, he look like he is this
big tough guy that is very mysterious and who lives in a beaten down house with his brother and
uncle. But, he is the opposite of your expectations, he is very kind, caring, and very well mannered.
The only thing that makes him mysterious is the fact that he has no friends and talks to barely anyone.
Brewster has a reason for being very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The author keeps the plot moving by adding a main question to the story. This keeps the reader
engaged in the story to try to solve the question. The question was to try to figure out what was wrong
with Brewster. The author structured the different points of views depending on how the character
writing styles. When it is Brewster s turn to be the narrator, his chapters are in verse. When Cody,
Brewster s younger brother, is the narrator the chapters are titled stuff and filled with a rambling
narration that reflects his young age. When Tennyson and Bronte are the narrators, their chapters are
given a difficult vocabulary word that they have learned from their educator parents. This book kept
my interest more than any book i have ever read. It kept my interest because I wanted to know why
Brewster was so mysterious and when I found out why i was very shocked and I wanted to know how
the other character will deal with

My Minus Equilibrium Treatment
Discussion
There was a severe effect of my minus calcium treatment the lack of calcium was detrimental to my
plants health and caused them all to die. With my visual observations of my sunflower seedlings
completely drying up and dying, the negative growth rate per day of my plants (along with the rest of
the minus calcium treatments in the class having a significantly lower average growth rate when
compared to the control plants in the class), and the huge difference in average water use between the
minus calcium treatment plants in the class when compared to the control plants in class, it is clear
that the effect was severe. I believe that I observed the growth effects that I did because low levels of
calcium cause poor root development ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the root development was poor, the plants were unable to take in water causing dryness and
ultimately death. Without water being transported through the plant, photosynthesis and growth could
not occur, and although the plants tried to conserve as much water as possible (through closing their
stomata), since they recognized they were not able to take in any more because of their roots they
could not sustain themselves. I believe that calcium was immobile in the plant the effects of not
having it were so harsh and immediate that I believe there was none present. The fact that the minus
calcium treatment plants couldn t take up water through their roots, which, as I stated before, is
directly related to calcium deficiency, only further supports the notion that it was immobile in the
plant. Visual symptoms that could be helpful in diagnosing calcium deficiency in sunflowers are dry
and brown leaves but this diagnosis would have to occur pretty quickly since it had such severe

Analysis On Cradle And Michael Braungart
In Cradle to Cradle by William McDonough and Michael Braungart, the two authors take into great
detail by explaining the cradle to grave manufacturing system. The system explains every step of a
product s life from the creation to the disposal of the product. It is important to learn about this system
because in order for a company to track and take responsibility of their hazardous waste . The system

enough consideration to human health and the environment. McDonough and Braungart promote for a
new framework where companies take into consideration on every step of a product s lifestyle. In the

common type of consumer product such as a plastic bottle that could be redesigned to be healthier for
humans, environmental friendly, and create less pollution towards our planet. The two ways that
plastic bottles can become more intelligently designed is by changing how plastic bottles are

environmental health.

Managment Skills Essay
Managment Skills 1. The classical management theory leans toward the administrative, bureaucratic
and scientific approaches to management. The behavioral theory emphasizes employee needs and their
motivation. The behavioral approach is best suited for media management because the employees play
a huge role in the business. The employees could include actors or radio personalities that draw huge
interest and revenue based on their talent. It is very important to keep these people happy and
motivated because so much is depending on their performances.

b) The role of promotion and marketing in local stations is very critical to the station success. The
station must find a promotion plan that will move them to the head of the pack. An example of a good
promotion plan would be to have aggressive, knowledgeable, and creative account executive that can
convince potential advertisers the advantages of television ads. The promotion department is also
responsible for marketing the station and its programs to the public also.
5. Prime Access is a rule that restricted what could be shown between 7 8pm. The rule changed in

Examples Of Characterization In Night By Elie Wiesel
In many pieces of literature authors use character change to show the progression of characterization
throughout the novel. In Night, by Elie wiesel, character change happens because of the setting Eli is
in. Eli the protagonist s feelings changes as a result of his setting. Eli is left with his father after being
taken away from his home and sent to the concentration camps. Eli was innocent, kind, waiflike, and a
religious person. While at the camps Eli has to decide whether or not he can stay true to himself or
become a brute. By the end of the novel, Eli has become non religious, and brutal towards his father
and others. Throughout the book Eli has gone through many obstacles rendering him to lose faith in
god. He shows his lost faith in god after being separated from his mother and sister ... Show more

did not defend him . Eli also becomes a brute towards his father when he thinks to himself that he
should just abandon his father and survive for himself. He thinks of this while when he was wandering
for hours searching for his father on and off around the camp. Eli stops and in his mind he says If only
I didn t find him him! If only I were relieved of this responsibility, I could use all my strength to fight
for my own survival, to take care only of myself... (106) Similarly Eli unwilling gives his portion of
soup to his dying father. He does this when he realizes his father had not eaten anything all day. Eli s

Essay On Soul Tour
On the 23 of September 2017 around 7:30pm I went and saw Tim McGraw and Faith Hill preform
their Soul 2 Soul tour at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. I have never seen either of the two
preform live in concert only on shows like the Country Music awards until this date. Having been a
fan of country music and growing up in a family who has always been fans of this genera of music, I
have listened to them both since and have been a huge fan of them each since. I wanted to see them

It seemed at the start of the show they sang songs that where at the start of their music careers and
progressed through their career. They sang each song as a duet no matter if it was a Tim or Faith song.
My favorite song of the night was Tim s Stay Humble and Kind and Faith s I need you , which was an
encore song. During the encore everyone thought that the show was over, but Tim came out into the
Stadium seat and Faith walked through the floor seats and they sang. The special effects added even
more to the experience. I would go back and see the same exact show if I had the chance. The crowd
was a very respectful crowd. For me it did not seem to be the stereotypical crowd that you would
imagine at a summer concert that this was. People where up and singing and dancing to the music and
where having an overall good time listening to the music. The crowd ranged from little kids to adults,
but everyone was almost in unison with the music, it s a weird thing to experience. From where my
family where sitting we did not see that much alcohol being drank and even less intoxicated people.
With this you could really enjoy the show without having to deal with annoying drunk fans. If you
accidently bump into someone they where respectful and apologized. You could talk to your family
and Tim and Faith would encourage you to sing along to the music by stopping mid song and you
would sing without them.

Jeremiah Vs Ezekiel
Among the Old Testament prophets, Jeremiah and Ezekiel are probably the most outstanding ones.
Living in the same historical period, witnessing and being part of tragic, crucial changes in the Judas
history, having a similar background, these two men still differ a lot in their views, lifestyle and way
of prophesying.
Jeremiah was likely born between 650 and 645 B.C. not far from Jerusalem in a family of a priest and
was by being trained for holy service in the priesthood was prepared for his future role. Jeremiah s
contemporary Ezekiel also had the priestly background and was a functioning priest probably attached
to Jerusalem Temple staff, but his prophetic ministry developed in Babylon as he was exiled several
years before Jerusalem fall. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

from all this, his personality is revealed. The Book makes a pessimistic impression, as Jeremiah is
persistent in challenging dishonesty and hypocrisy. When being called he is unsure of his ability to
speak in the name of God, but the Lord reassures him, giving the promise of support. Jeremiah starts
prophesying the future fall of Jerusalem and his role after it is to bring his word to the Jews in exile as
well, so here he develops a theology of repentance, exile and restoration. At the same time, Jeremiah
stays in the ruined city, encouraging the new ruler and the people, explaining what happened and
providing the directions for further actions. The final chapters mostly describe God s judgements for
other nations and the prediction of punishment for

Reflection Of The Five Wishes
Week Nine Journal
Upon reflection of the Five Wishes, several thoughts came to mind. First and foremost, having a
designated advanced directive is critical. There are countless examples of clinical experiences in with
which families were overwhelmed with unexpected end of life decisions. As an educated caregiver, we
should personally take the necessary steps to assure these tough decisions are known to someone who
can facilitate the level of care desired. Such consideration of these elements of care in advance can
help to support our loved ones during this emotional time. After review of the five wishes, I
recognized that I would not want life support measures if faced with irreversible deleterious outcomes
that resulted from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, acknowledgment of personal values needs to be understood and kept in check when having
these discussions. Furthermore, these discussions are better received when one can intelligently speak
to each question and apply the language to the discussions with patients and families. Moreover,
reflecting on these questions can help the clinician be prepared for sensitive questions that may arise.
All of these measures will help guide the advanced directive formulation process.
The content of the Five Wishes document can be applied to practice by giving healthcare professionals
words to use in the dialog that occurs when having a discussion related to end of life desires. Many
times, during these challenging topics and moments staff, patients, and families do not know how to
discuss dying or what to ask for during the days leading up to death. Additionally, this document can
serve to offer an unbiased conversation. Lastly, Five Wishes can help to translate allowing natural
death, end of life moments, comfort, and dying with dignity. Specialized areas of care such as
intensive care settings can utilize this document to help patients and families make decisions and
understand the kinds of care that will be given to their loved one.
Advanced Directive A. D. was a sixty six year old Caucasian male who was recently diagnosed with a
brain tumor. The tumor was surgically removed, and he was currently undergoing chemotherapy.

The Beauty Myth Naomi Wolf Summary
Kaleidoscope of Beauty In our world today, society and the dictionary have a different opinion on
what constitutes beauty. The dictionary defines beauty as the qualities in a person or a thing that give
pleasure to the senses or the mind ( Beauty ). Society has a more cruel definition of beauty. It puts
pressure on women who want to appear beautiful to everyone but themselves. Naomi Wolf, author of
The Beauty Myth, wrote, Many are ashamed to admit that such trivial concerns to do with physical
appearance, bodies, faces, hair, clothes matter so much (486). So instead of accepting the fact that
everybody has flaws, nowadays women will spend unbelievable amounts of money to try to rid
themselves of these flaws just to feel beautiful. The biggest perpetrators social ... Show more content

Physical appearance, aging, and losing control of themselves. In The Beauty Myth, Wolf explains
Contemporary standards of feminine beauty have devolved to a point that can only be described as
anorexic, and America s young women are paying the price through a near epidemic of bulimia and

from the male population. In this essay it talks about how women must also compete with other

Chaucer s Retraction In The Canterbury Tales Essay
Different scholars have had different understandings of Chaucer s Retraction and The Canterbury
Tales. The divergent views have drawn different interpretations of the intended meaning and the
context of its existence. Many scholars believe that The Parson s Tale was Chaucer s final work. Some
people feel Chaucer s Retraction was the final one in the collection, while others doubt that Chaucer
was the real author of the repudiation. This dilemma is implored by the fact the retraction completely
disowns the earlier versions of Chaucer s works. Those who agree that Chaucer s Retraction is the
actual work of Geoffrey Chaucer give several reasons why he disowned his work. They explain what
he sought to achieve and how the retraction relates to The Parson s Tale and the whole framework of
The Canterbury Tales.
The fact that Chaucer s main reason of retracting his tales in The Canterbury Tales is to avoid
accusations arising from writing some of the tales is no secret. The fictions rather use some words and
an approach that at the time would have sounded offensive to the pilgrimage or as a criticism of the
church. He uses the retraction to appeal to not only truth as an ideal virtue but also to the words of the
pilgrims that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

and Chaucer s Retraction help to look back on the other tales, which are rather vulgar in language and
obscene in technique. The fact that he chose to end his final touch on The Canterbury Tales on a
religious note is both suspicious and pious. However, what this does is to reiterate and reaffirm every

Foreign Affairs And The Pursuit Of Liberty Essay
Foreign Affairs and the Pursuit of Liberty Should America strengthen ties in foreign nations, or remain
neutral when external conflict arises? This question has faced every United States President who has
served, and will continue to stare the chief executive in the face. Whichever way the United States
decides, neutrality or involvement, there are certain pitfalls and triumphs that come from either
decision, but in some incidents the wrong decision can be detrimental. At the start of the nation,
George Washington led the country through times of both involvement and neutrality, eventually
bidding his country a goodbye with his Farwell Address, in which he warned his fellow citizens to
remain neutral if at all possible. As time goes by and the face of war has changes, Washington s advice
may have lost its relevance. In his time, Washington s advice to remain neutral was a word of wisdom,
but as new threats against American liberty arises, the United States President cannot avoid foreign
involvement, but rather engage in it for the sake of the American independence. As President George
Washington addressed his country one last time, he included many warnings in his address. One of
which was the dangers of becoming overly involved in external conflict. The President informs the
people ...nothing is more essential than that permanent, invertebrate antipathies against particular
nations, and passionate attachments for other, should be excluded; and that, in the place

The Pros And Cons Of Hospital Stressors
The primary stressors you expect to encounter when you hospitalize are bodily injury, separation,
pain, and loss of control. The vulnerability, however, is higher in children because one, they have few
ways to cope and two, the difference between the hospital versus the home environment becomes the
change they never want to go through. Children react to the crises with influence from an earlier
experience with an ailment or hospitalization, availability of a working support system, the fatality of
the diagnosis and their coping skills.
Individual risk factors refer to the reasons as to why particular children are more vulnerable to hospital
stressors than others. For instance, kids living in the urban setting tend to be more familiar with the
environment of a local hospital than a rural one due to the proximity of their homes. The risk factors
include the intelligence quotient, age, many recurring stresses, child parent relationship, temperament
and the gender.
According to, below average brainpower kids take longer in accepting the separation from their parent
and incorporating in the new surroundings. Due to their weak multitasking abilities, they adapt to
changes slowly and never ready to welcome them. Such a child depends on much more on the parent s
support than an average one. They may resort to self isolation behavior which most caregivers see as
stubbornness when they are hesitant to respond to any trial to strike a conversation. In case the child

Physics of Bicycles Essay
Physics plays a vital role in all that we do, whether we are aware of it or not. The sport of bicycling is
no exception to the physical laws of Mother Nature.
Friction is a resistive force that always acts in a direction that is opposite to the motion of a body.
Frictional forces are dependent on two components; the coefficient of friction and the normal force.
Friction = (µ)(n)
There are two different types of frictional coefficients, static and kinetic. The coefficient of static
friction is the frictional force that must be overcome before any motion commences. It is caused by
the minuscule contact points between our tires and the riding surface (There is frictional losses present
in every mechanical connection on the bike ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The difference between tires might be hard to distinguish but the variation between terrains is pretty
easy to differentiate. Riding on the sidewalk is noticeably easier than riding among boulders! This is
due to the greater amount of friction between the ground and the tires.
The wind plays a big part in the forces affecting a bicycle and its rider. The air flow over a rider and
their bicycle is far from smooth. Wind resistance, sometimes called drag, is caused by the atmospheric
flow around the rider, wheels, and frame and can produce a relatively large frictional force especially
at higher speeds.
At higher speeds this resistive force can be approximated by:
R=1/2DρAv2
Where ρ is the density of air, A is the cross sectional area of the rider bike, v is the velocity, and D is
the drag coefficient. There are basically only two ways to reduce drag. The first method is to reduce
the overall cross sectional area. The can be accomplished by using a bicycle that is specifically
designed to put the rider into a more aerodynamical position, as seen in figure 2.
Reduction of the drag coefficient is also an important factor in decreasing the resistance. By wearing
tighter fitting clothes and using bikes that are streamlined we are able to reduce the drag coefficient
significantly.
The study of improved aerodynamics is imperative to any competitive road or track cyclist. Reduction

Historical Significance of Multiple Books on Jim Crow s...
Student Network Resources Inc. Student Network Resources Inc. Class/Section 11 December 2012
Strange Career of Jim Crow Significance The author of this report is asked to answer to a series of
specific questions as it relates to a certain book written about Jim Crow and the wider historical and
social significance of the same. The Supreme Court decision that involved Jim Crow and the
separation of blacks and whites is to be discussed as well as a general reaction to the book. All of this
and more will be covered. The Woodward work is recognized as one of the most hard hitting and
honest historical reviews of slavery and state sanctioned racism in the United States law and general
practice. Historical Context of the Book The historical context of the Jim Crow book and of the wider
Jim Crow issue is clear to anyone that has a modicum of historical understanding. The Jim Crow laws,
as they came to be known, were the laws that codified the concept of separate but equal . Instead of
sanctifying open and equal access for all races regardless of subject or the color of the person
involved, it was a de facto allowance by the Supreme Court for separate but equal to be the law of the
law rather than allowing for any pretense of equality for all being the norm. The racist practices of the
Jim Crow laws were later affirmed by Plessy v. Feguson in 1896, which greatly exacerbated the use of
the laws, especially in the South. These laws were created roughly from 1800 to 1866 and

and gain access to their proprietary data. For example, private email messages can be forwarded to a
rogue destination email address: Done by installing a virus program into a user s email client through
a discovered active computers open TCP/IP IMAP port (port number 143) that is not being currently
used by that user (Clarke, 2008). The virus then could take advantage of security vulnerabilities in that
users email client program and forward emails from that users inbox over to another destination email
address without them knowing about ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Port Scanning Port scanning is technique used to identify any open or closed Transmission Control
Protocol (TCP) or User Datagram Protocol (UDP) network communication ports or services on a
network host device. For example, port number 110 is assigned to Post Office Protocol three (POP3)
for email client application communications on a network. There can be up to 65,000 ports any one
computer or host device and any unused open ports as determined by a port scan may allow a
malicious user unauthorized access to it. This is akin to an open window in a house whereas a burglar
can gain access to it ( Facts about port, ). Also, accessive port scanning can lead to a denial of service
(DoS) attack and not allow authorized users to access their data. Finally, there are again several utility
tools available to perform port scanning such as Nmap as mentioned previously or SolarWinds Port
scanner.
Firewall
To mitigate the security threat posed by ping sweeps and port scans it is highly recommended that
firewall protection on all network hosts devices should be enabled to close any unused ports to protect
them from unauthorized access. Also, is recommended that the use of a firewall server to protect the
network from any outside intruders be used as well. In conclusion, ping sweeping and port scanning
can threaten the security of a Business Enterprises network and steps

Statue Of Winchester Research Paper
What is the statue of Winchester?
The Statute of Winchester was written in 1285. It indicated a breakdown in the traditional system of
law enforcement and peacekeeping. Essentially, the statute of Winchester provided the legislative
basis for law enforcement in England. the statue Reaffirmed the position of a constable and
empowered urban constables to draft citizens as unpaid watchmen.
During the 13th century, England was going through substantial social change. With the social change,
the cities became larger and less organized by shared experiences and family power and were replaced
by urban living. The shift from a rural society to a commercial, industrial, urban and the decline of the
constable created a new innovation called watchmen. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Watchmen used illegal and disruptive behavior to gain order maintenance and control. The duty of the
watchmen was to provide support to the constable. The watchmen arrested those who were violating
the law or disturbing the peace. these men would follow the watch and ward system calling out
anything strange and pursuing the criminals. The watch and ward was the first organized attempt at
policing. It consisted of a system. The hue and cry were established during this time, requiring citizens
to come to aid watchmen calling for help. The people that did not come to aid watchmen during a hue
and cry, where considered accomplices and punished as criminals. Watchman style policing places an
emphasis on violations of law and relies on threats of arrest or actual arrests. Think of it as strict
enforcement of criminal law. The watchman style of policing can be compared to the Los Angeles

Controversy Between Theistic Evolution And Religion
As Francis Collins stated, Theistic Evolution is the belief that evolution is real, but that it was set in
motion by God (Collins). Theistic Evolution does not separate the ideas of Creation and Evolution,
and consider them as contrasting ideas. Instead, Theistic Evolution proposes that God s Creation
included Evolution. People with this belief argue that Evolution is a part of God s Plan. Instead of
interpreting the Bible literally, people of Theistic Evolution belief believe that the Bible should be
interpreted loosely, taking only certain amounts the Bible for truth. Theistic Evolution accepts all
scientific discoveries, or theories, such as the Big Bang, Evolution, and that the world began millions
of years ago. The controversy with Theistic Evolution, is that it is considered to contradict itself,
choosing to interpret only some portions of the Bible literally. The problem is that Christians with this
belief are accepting Humanistic world views, which contradict and are inconsistent with the Bible and
Christian religion. While the book of Genesis states that God created the Earth before the Sun and the
Moon, people of the Evolutionist belief say the opposite, claiming that the Sun and the Moon came
before the Earth (Mortenson). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One issue, is that if Christians believe that God rested after the six day creation of the Earth, when do
people that believe in Theistic Evolution believe He rested? Evolution is an ongoing process,
therefore, there has been no time for rest. Theistic Evolutionists are therefore discrediting Genesis and
the Word of God (Stewart). Theistic Evolution also contradicts the Creation of Adam. The book of
Genesis says that God created Man from the dust. God created Adam, a full human. He did not create
a sub human or anything else that developed into Adam, He just created Adam. Theistic Evolution
claims that man developed by evolving from a prior

Media Influence Media
How does the media influence elections and politics
During the past 20 years, the media has experienced massive changes in terms of the platforms it
appears in as well as the audience it reaches. While traditional forms of media such as newspapers,
television, are considered to be more controlled, with the newly occurring and vastly growing online
media, information reaches more people and in a rapid pace never seen before. This essay will
describe how new occurrences have gained media the power to actively re enforce (however not to the
extent of shaping) political public opinion.
Firstly, in order to understand the major influence that the media has on politics and elections, one
should understand what the term media includes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And usually, once the public deems certain issues as of most importance, they are quickly initiated to
legislature. Going back to the Cold War and Vietnam, we can see how media coverage the Vietnam
War inspired peace movement activists to take over the streets and demand the withdrawal of foreign
(mostly American) troops from Vietnam.
Undeniably, political candidates and the media, have always had intense interactions. The world of
media and the world of politics have a symbiotic relationship ; without the media politicians would
find it extremely hard to make their voices heard, while the media has a duty of encouraging
democracy and people s involvement in important matters, therefore media s involvement in the world
of politics is inevitable.
Curran wisely said; Media owners and politicians are so interlocked (that) media can t be independent
(2002.) A.J. Liebling also expressed his disapproval with his words; Freedom of the press is
guaranteed only to those who own one.
Certainly, the changes in technology have affected our attention spans and focuses. News articles are
becoming shorter and are often dominated by visual content. Big fonts, bright and shocking pictures
win more clicks , and it is not rarely that images and videos of politicians/political events are the
centre of intense discussion. Research has shown that visual communication conveys

Persuasion As An Essential Part Of Survival
There are many different techniques to persuasion. Some of the techniques include foot in the door,
scarcity, pique, and many others. All of these techniques are designed to influence the opinion and
actions of others. Persuasion is used in our everyday life and is an essential part of survival. As we are
approached by different persuaders through out our life, it s important to know that people are
constantly trying to shape our opinions and react accordingly. Social scientists suggest that when
people are presented with any idea or persuasive proposal, their natural reaction is to immediately find
a way to sort the information subconsciously and react to it. Most people will evaluate the information
and compare it to the attitude we have already. This is called the intitial attitude or anchor point.
Persuasion can be defined as using one s personal resources to change people s attitudes or behaviors.
Persuasion is often used to make a personal gain, such as in an election or when trying to sale a
product. The history of persuasion began long ago with the Greeks, who used persuasion in trails.
Greeks emphasized elocution and rhetoric as the highest standard for a successful politician. The
Greek philosopher Aristotle taught that persuasion was very important. He stated that persuasion is an
excellent tool for teaching and there is no better way to defend one s self. There are many
characteristics of a persuader and there are many different types of

The main character in the Odyssey, Odysseus, displays many valuable traits throughout the novel,
which helped support the main idea that cunning, endurance, and loyalty are more valuable than brute

The Medicines Company What is the value of Angiomax to a hospital? Both Angiomax and Heparin
are widely used as an anticoagulant in acute coronary heart treatment. Since Angiomax is a potential
substitute for Heparin, Angiomax can be of great value to a hospital. Angiomax has three significant
advantages over Heparin. First, the effects of Angiomax are more accurate and dependable which
makes the product more predictable. Second, Angiomax doesn t require a 2 3 hour wait time for
results whereas Heparin does. Last but not least, Angiomax is safer for patients that are at risk for

Pope John Paul II added a new set of mysteries, the luminous mysteries, which mark some of the
important teachings of Jesus life. Some Catholics carry rosaries with them everywhere, in pockets,
purses, or wallets.
Medals are small discs, usually made of metal, that depict images of Jesus, Mary, or a saint; they are
commonly worn as necklaces but show up in other formats as well. Theologically their purpose is to
remind the believer to be open to God s grace, but Catholics have traditionally believed them to carry
certain power. For instance, a Saint Christopher medal in cars is supposed to protect passengers, while
a necklace containing the Miraculous medal of Mary is said to protect its wearer. There are an
enormous number of different medals, each thought to provide a particular protection.
According to Church teaching, the most important sacramental is the use of blessings. Blessings are a
form of prayer asking God to grant grace to the person, place, or thing being blessed. Catholics often
say blessings before consuming meals, thanking God for the gift of the food they are about to eat.
Catholic parents have traditionally laid their hands on their children s heads as a form of blessing,
asking for their protection and guidance. Some blessings require the services

How did World War One improve opportunities for women s...
World War One was a time of death, destruction and was in general a conflict of monumental
proportions. However, as the cliché goes, there is a silver lining to every storm cloud. In the case of
the Great War, the silver lining refers to the great leaps forward made in women s empowerment and
involvement in society because of the advent of the war, which forced them into positions previously
never considered by either gender. World War One provided women with the perfect opportunity to
demonstrate to a male dominated society that females were there for more than simply domestic
chores, and this proved to be beneficial for both women and men alike. Women became involved in
the army on the frontlines, were nurses and medical aids, played ... Show more content on

As women were finally recognised for their contributions as nurses and medical aids, they were
provided with a sense of importance and their position in society was elevated. Without the women
who courageously partook in these organisations, the casualty rates would have been much higher, so
the services that these women provided were undeniably invaluable. Because women played such an
instrumental role in World War 1, the war became a time when women s roles that were previously
thought to be mundane were finally acknowledged and respected, bringing a whole new level to
women s empowerment. Although women were actively participating in the military itself, their
involvement in the civilian workforce was just as equality asserting and significant, especially when
women began to take on roles such as running their countries transport systems. During the advent of
war, the need for transport increased exponentially, as supplies, personnel, and other war related
equipment were in higher demand. With the men enlisted in the army, there was no choice but for the
women to take over these professions, including working on the rail and tram lines and driving trucks,
cranes, cars, and motorbikes for the war. Women found this thrilling (Goldstein), as this was an
experience that none had encountered before and was a far

Pros And Cons Of Thomas More s Utopia
Thomas More s Utopia More s Utopia has upsides and downsides. Though I can t agree with
everything he puts forth, I can say that I would rather live in his Utopia than the other countries he
described. Sadly, some of those negative attributes, found in other countries, are found here in
America. If I could make changes to my own country, some of his Utopian methods would be a great
replacement. His ideas came from a time in history when life was a lot simpler. Had he only known
how much of the unnecessary pleasures this world would indulge in, he would ve had many more
examples of how not to live. Though kings of his time enjoyed their gold, provocative artwork, and
fancy kingdoms, inventions like the iPhone and obscene internet sites would surely be deemed
ridiculous. For starters, his idea of a shorter work day made a lot of sense. Focus on careers that
produce more of what we need and remove those professions that cater to a tiny percentage of our
wealthiest citizens. This would probably take our country back in time, by removing many services
people are used to having in 2017. However, his idea of Utopia sounds better than living in the
present. We have gotten away from what is important in life. The shorter work day gives us more time
to ourselves, more time with family, and would be less stressful for our bodies and minds. Another
reason I would prefer More s Utopia is their idea of happiness. They get pleasure from basic needs
being fulfilled. He spoke of

Essence of Nursing The essence of nursing to me is presence. When we become tasks oriented and
lose focus of the primary reason we are there that is when the essence of nursing is lost. Unfortunately,
with staff shortages and nurse to patient ratio increasing nurses barely have enough time to go through
the patient s chart let alone give the patient enough time to even build a good rapport. I am a strong
believer in giving patients my undivided attention when I am in the room, I believe in eye contact and
touch therapy to connect with patients. It is that genuine connectedness Being with another when they

them, remembering why you choose the profession. Treating your patients, the way you would want
your mother or grandmother to be treated. Dignity and respect should never be compromised when
taking care of patients. I think the thing that we as nurses must remember is that not all personalities
will mess well together but there is always someone on your team that can reach that patient, utilize
them to uphold your values as a nurse to maintain the professionalism needed to preserve the essence
of nursing.

It is notable to see that some of these theories were stated as early as 1961. Most would have to
disagree with these theories just because of the age of their births, but to most people s surprise they
still hold in the 21st century. The arousal theory is basically self explanatory. This was theorized by
P.H. Tannenbaum in 1975. He said exposure to television violence increases aggression because
violence increases excitation, or arouses viewers (Tannenbaum Zillman, 1975). This is also being
found in the recent studies, which shows the progression in the media s will to change. The social
learning theory was described by Dr. Bandura. This theory says ways of behaving are learned by
observing others, and that this is a major means by which children acquire unfamiliar behavior,
although performance of acquired behavior will depend at least in part on factors other than
acquisition (Bandura, 1973). A perfect example of this theory was when the murders occurred after the
prizefights. The disinhibition hypothesis was L. Berkowitz s investigation. This hypothesis explains
that television violence in certain circumstances will result in increased interpersonal aggression
because it weakens inhibitions against such behavior (Berkowitz, 1962).The final theory, catharsis
hypothesis was written by S. Feshbach. This theory explains that under certain conditions exposure to

Urine flow may be routed out of the body through a stoma, or a variety of surgeries have been
developed to form artificial bladders from parts of the large or small intestine. In addition to surgery,
radiation and chemotherapy may be used in the battle against bladder cancer. More than 70% of
bladder cancer diagnoses are made when the cells affect only superficial layers of tissue. Of course,
this is excellent news because the survival rate for cancers caught early is much better than for cancers
caught in stage three or later. Even so, bladder cancer has an unusual habit of growing in several
places at once, so although it may be possible to catch one or two tumors, any invisible third, fourth,

reoccurrence rate for bladder cancer is surprisingly high; up to 80% percent of bladder cancer patients
have at least one reoccurrence. The relation between bladder cancer and carcinogenic substances is
one of the most clearly demonstrated links between environmental exposures and cancer. The good
news is the bladder cancer is probably a completely preventable disease, if exposure to the
carcinogenic substances is limited or eradicated. References

The Pros And Cons Of The Berlin Wall
Usually walls are put into places to avoid people to cross borders and keep peace but they destroy
peace. Recently one could have heard in the News that Trump wants the Mexicans to pay for a wall
between Mexico and the United States. This Wall should make it impossible for people to cross the
border unofficially. As one could know from history classes, we had a wall in Germany for many
years which was built by the winner countries of the second world war for a similar reason. Before the
Wall, many people from East Germany tried to escape to West Germany where they had obviously
better living conditions. It divided Germany in East and West Germany. Additionally, there was a part
of Berlin, what was in the East German part, isolated from a huge wall that belonged to West
Germany. This wall made it hard for the citizens of East Germany to visit West Germany. The
Government of East Germany had other principles than the government of West Germany and it was
not in the interest of the East German government to show their citizens how good their life could be
in West Germany. After the falling of the Wall, it was possible for everyone to travel in Germany
whenever they want without standing in line at the borders. But there was a big gap in wealth between
East and West Germany. Even today the loans in West Germany are lower and the federal states have
less money than the ones in West Germany. But in Berlin, one can visit ruins of the Berlin Wall which
are colored and painted. As one could know from visiting Berlin, there is only a small part of the Wall
left but at other parts, one could find the position of the wall with marked flagging on the ground.
Additionally, one could buy a piece of the wall as a souvenir. Standing in front of the ruins of the
Berlin wall inspires this realization: Peace is about breaking barriers not building them.

Anti Corruption Of Chinese New Government

Anti Corruption in Chinese New Government On 15 March 2012, Chongqing Party Chief Bo Xilai
was removed from his tenure on charges of bribery and abuse of authority. ()The incident of Wang
Lijun brought to the politburo more evidence that Bo Xilai was undergoing briberies. On 22
September 2013, after many trials, Bo Xilai s final destiny was to be sentenced as life imprisonment
for corruption, and the estimated amount of bribery was 8 billion RMB (BBC 11/11/2013).This

happening? Why isn t anyone taking any actions for this situation? Who is responsible for the
consequences? How can Xi change the current government with a better system and more trustful
reputation? While the last decade has seen tremendous economic prosperity in China, it has also

Sherpa Life
Physical strength is important because a person s body can only withstand so much. According to
Grayson Schaffer in The Value of a Sherpa Life the Sherpa porters struggle to survive in the hardships
and conditions they face. He writes, The men who were struck were carrying 80 pound loads to
Camps I and II, or they were on their way back to base camp (1). This shows how hard the Sherpas
work and the weight of the supplies they have to withstand. Similarly, members on the James Caird
have to withstand the major hurricane and massive waves coming over the boat. In The Voyage if the
James Caird Caroline Alexander states, Rain, hail, sleet, and snow hammered down, and by noon the
gale had become a full fledged hurricane whipping a mountainous ... Show more content on

Sherpas need good physical strength to survive. Without the hard work of the Sherpa porters, it would
be largely impossible for Americans and Europeans with slightly above average physiology, and well
above average disposable income, to scale the world s tallest mountain (Schaffer 1). Without the help
and strength of Sherpas, many people would not survive the climb. The crew members on the Caird
need to be strong to survive their tough journey. Worsley s report of the conversation was intended as
a tribute to Shackleton s courage in undertaking such a dangerous voyage (Alexander 6). The author is
telling us that the crew had to be strong to survive this treacherous journey. The people with better
physical strength had greater chances of survival during Hurricane Maria. Starting on Sept. 20, 2017,
Hurricane Maria swamped Puerto Rico with 20 inches of rain and battered it with 150 mph winds for
over 30 hours (Conversation). These people had to uses their strength to get through the floods and
harsh winds of the hurricane. With good physical strength, people can live the long lives the

China’s One Child Policy Essay
With more than 1.3 billion people, China has to think about a solution and find ways to deal with its
population explosion. In order to have control over population, in 1970, a policy named China s One
Child Policy was introduced. Mingliang argues that, China, through the one child policy, has instituted
the most aggressive, comprehensive population policy in the world (1). This policy limits all families
in the Republic of China to have only one child, regardless of the sex: however, within this policy
there are some exceptions. It is possible to have two children only if the first child is born with a
disability, if parents work in a high risk job, if the couple lives in villages, or if the family is a non
Han, otherwise you are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Mingliang states, the Chinese preference for at least one son is well documented (3). Having two
sons in a family is very unusual in China. Due to the preferences of having sons, the abortion rates
have increased. Abortion is well known in China, as is the missing girls phenomenon. Shaou, Dodge,
and Suter argue that, of the seven million abortions annually in China, the International Planned
Parenthood Federation indicates that more than 70 percent are female unborn children (4). This is a
big percentage, and the number of girls in this country is decreasing every year. People are using
different ways to limit the number of girls. Moreover, if a woman does not want to abort, she is forced
to do so. Bluett argues that, abortions are performed throughout the entire nine month period, even up
to the point of childbirth (3), simply saying the increase in sex ration is caused mainly by son
preference, which is as a tradition in China. It is significant to mention that because of the gender
imbalance, younger generations are facing other problems. According to Bluett, many males are left
without a wife, which leads to an increase in human trafficking (5). The one child policy is causing a
lot of troubles and China has to make sure to reduce the negative effects of this policy. However,
China s one child policy has been effective in some ways. Although, it is true that the

The Guest By Daru, Balducci, And The Arab
Throughout the story of the guest, there are interactions made between the three characters, Daru,
Balducci, and the Arab. These interactions can be analyzed and interpreted in many different ways,
especially by conflicting emotions that can be seen in Daru pertaining to the situation created by the
presence of the other two characters. An example of the presence of conflicting emotions is that
although he shows much hospitality to both of his guests in the time that they are in his residence, he
has obvious negative feelings toward the Arab s situation. The many times that Daru is hospitable but
also feeling ambivalence towards the situation generates many possible interpretations of what Camus
intent for The Guest may actually be. As the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He also gives the Arab all the hospitality that one could offer a guest; Daru cooks a meal and allows
the Arab to eat first even though this could just be more hospitality there could also be a much deeper
level to this act (Camus 2258). He could also be showing his sympathy and disagreement as to how
the Arab has been treated and believes that maybe he should have just been left alone to live his life
according to the law of his people. Later Daru even makes the Arab a bed to sleep in for the night and
does not change his nightly routine or keep a gun by his bed (Camus 2259). This shows that Daru sees
him as a person thus making him deserving of respect. In this act he also gives the Arab a few more
things besides respect including trust and if he so chooses to take it, the chance to escape. With all of
the chances that Daru gives him to escape it can be concluded that he either hopes that the Arab will
run away so that he does not have to take him to prison or it could also be a test of the Arab s
character. The fact that he does not take any of the chances to escape is proof that the Arab is a
respectable man in terms of Daru s standards and maybe that is one of the reasons that he did kill his
cousin, as the Arabs whole goal in life may be to be respectable and not a coward by running away, as
his cousin did. All of these acts of hospitality greatly affect how Daru could be interpreted to be
feeling about the situation of the Arab and his

Milton Friedman s The Free Market Theory
Milton Friedman bases his opinion on businesses and profit maximization on the foundation of free
enterprise. The free market theory believes that business managers have only one primary
responsibility, which is to maximize profit; also, the theory tells that government should not involve in
economic matters, except to prevent fraud and coercion (p. 7) Mr. Friedman argues that a corporation,
unlike a person, cannot have responsibility. I disagree with this notion. I don t think that anyone would
engage in a business contract with a corporation if they thought that a corporation was not responsible
to pay its bills. So therefore, a corporation can have legal, and moral responsibilities. Milton Friedman
uses what, to me, is the key phrase as long as it stays within the rules of the game but does not define
the phrase in terms of the legal system. My question is what about the rules of the game that are not so
much as even suggested in the law? There are other rules that companies have to follow if they want
to be successful; such as the obvious supply and demand rules in the marketplace. Also, as we have
seen with the production of new ideas and technologies, the law follows progressions in technology
and thinking. But the principle of responsibility leads the legal cases being decided. Being compliant
with the law may keep them out of court, but companies know that holding themselves accountable to
a higher standard will keep them in a good place with their customers,

The Effects Of Acne Among Teens With Acne
Imagine sitting in the middle of class with a throbbing pain in the middle of your forehead, not being
able to concentrate on what the teacher is saying because the pain is all that is totally consuming your
mind like a dog that has not eaten in weeks. Many teens are affected with acne not only in the United
States but all over the world. They are crippled by the red, puss filled craters all over their faces and
bodies. Scared to go out in public with the fear of someone making a joke about their acne, like calling
them pizza face. Not all people are affected by the shame but the ones who are, are stuck in this never
ending cycle that we call acne. Always worrying about when a pimple will pop up and ruin their entire
day, maybe even their entire week. There are many causes of acne among teens, how it affects the
teens with acne, and what teens can do to try and help the acne that is riddling their skin to disappear.
Approximately eighty five percent of people between the ages of twelve to twenty five experience
some form of acne. The most common type of acne that teens get is called acne vulgaris. This just
means that the pimples can show up on the face, neck, shoulders, upper back, and chest. There are
glands in the human skin that are called sebaceous glands that secrete sebum. Sebum is an oil in the
skin that lubricates your hair and skin to prevent them from drying out. When the glands sometimes
produce too much sebum or too many dead skin cells it can cause clogged

The Impact Of The Human Impact On Glaciers
In this letter, I will be telling you about the human impacts on glacial changes and about glaciers itself.
By the time you will be reading this, the world s environmental factors would have changed greatly.
Now you must be thinking that I m crazy, but glaciers actually existed and there is evidence of their
existence. There are many pieces of evidence that support the evidence of glaciers, but the following
are some of the more common pieces of evidence. Glaciers are a slow moving ice masses that are
formed by the accumulation, compaction, and recrystallization of snow on mountains or near the poles
(extremely cold regions). When the water solidifies, it pushes pieces of rock in the outward direction.
The rock is at that point plucked and carried out by the streaming ice of the moving glacier. With the
weight of the ice over them, these rocks can scratch profoundly into the underlying bedrock, making
long, parallel grooves in the bedrock, called striations. Striations are evidence of glaciers because they
indicate the direction in which the ice is moving and it can probably tell us how far a glacier has
moved in a certain period of time. Waterfalls are also subtle pieces of evidence that glaciers existed.
Hanging valleys are typically formed when the main valley has been widened and deepened by glacial
erosion, leaving the side valley cut off from the main valley. Smaller tributary streams flow into the
main glacier to form smaller and shallower U shaped valleys. Larger

New Issue Of New Federalism
New Federalism is known as commitment to returning powers to the state governments. Proposed by
President Ronald Reagan, who believed federal grants were just a scandal of imposing the federal
interests on the states. Reagan believed that federal government would allow a more efficient
government within the states and the nation. This reminded America of the main point now of the 10th
amendment that because the states are created under the the federal government, it should work for the
states, and not be overpowered. New Federalism is also known as Competitive Federalism due
consent struggle of the national and local government trying to be equal. Many states liked the idea of
New Federalism because new grants were given to states with less restrictions and states and they
were given a choice on how to spend these grants. With this concept, many laws were made in order to
enforce this New Federalism: the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act of 1995 disallowed Congress from
passing federal programs or services without consulting states on how they would be funded. The
Devolution Revolution in 1994, a movement led by former House Representative, Newt Gingrich, and
by republicans who desired to scale back the federal government though campaigning. Overall with
this time period, including now, we see how Ronald Reagan wanted to cease national government
power through the Supreme Court and appointed justices in the 1980s that would be dedicated to
returning power to the states. This

Without water being transported through the plant, photosynthesis and growth could not occur, and although the plants tried to conserve as much water as possible (through closing their stomata), since they recognized they were not able to take in any more because of their roots they could not sustain themselves. I believe that calcium was immobile in the plant the effects of not having it were so harsh and immediate that I believe there was none present. The fact that the minus calcium treatment plants couldn t take up water through their roots, which, as I stated before, is directly related to calcium deficiency, only further supports the notion that it was immobile in the plant. It is important to learn about this system because in order for a company to track and take responsibility of their hazardous waste . With this in mind, a common type of consumer product such as a plastic bottle that could be redesigned to be healthier for humans, environmental friendly, and create less pollution towards our planet. The two ways that plastic bottles can become more intelligently designed is by changing how plastic bottles are manufactured in these industries and removing chemical ingredients that are harmful to human and environmental health. This dilemma is implored by the fact the retraction completely disowns the earlier versions of Chaucer s works. Frictional forces are dependent on two components; the coefficient of friction and the normal force. Friction = (µ)(n) There are two different types of frictional coefficients, static and kinetic. The coefficient of static friction is the frictional force that must be overcome before any motion commences. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The difference between tires might be hard to distinguish but the variation between terrains is pretty easy to differentiate. Riding on the sidewalk is noticeably easier than riding among boulders! This is due to the greater amount of friction between the ground and the tires. The wind plays a big part in the forces affecting a bicycle and its rider. The air flow over a rider and their bicycle is far from smooth. Wind resistance, sometimes called drag, is caused by the atmospheric flow around the rider, wheels, and frame and can produce a relatively large frictional force especially at higher speeds. At higher speeds this resistive force can be approximated by: R=1/2DρAv2 Where ρ is the density of air, A is the cross sectional area of the rider bike, v is the velocity, and D is the drag coefficient. There are basically only two ways to reduce drag. The first method is to reduce the overall cross sectional area. The can be accomplished by using a bicycle that is specifically designed to put the rider into a more aerodynamical position, as seen in figure 2. Reduction of the drag coefficient is also an important factor in decreasing the resistance. By wearing tighter fitting clothes and using bikes that are streamlined we are able to reduce the drag coefficient significantly. The study of improved aerodynamics is imperative to any competitive road or track cyclist. Reduction of

First, the effects of Angiomax are more accurate and dependable which makes the product more predictable. Second, Angiomax doesn t require a 2 3 hour wait time for results whereas Heparin does. Some Catholics carry rosaries with them everywhere, in pockets, purses, or wallets. Medals are small discs, usually made of metal, that depict images of Jesus, Mary, or a saint; they are commonly worn as necklaces but show up in other formats as well. Theologically their purpose is to remind the believer to be open to God s grace, but Catholics have traditionally believed them to carry certain power. For instance, a Saint Christopher medal in cars is supposed to protect passengers, while a necklace containing the Miraculous medal of Mary is said to protect its wearer. There are an enormous number of different medals, each thought to provide a particular protection. According to Church teaching, the most important sacramental is the use of blessings. However, as the cliché goes, there is a silver lining to every storm cloud. In the case of the Great War, the silver lining refers to the great leaps forward made in women s empowerment and involvement in society because of the advent of the war, which forced them into positions previously never considered by either gender. World War One provided women with the perfect opportunity to demonstrate to a male dominated society that females were there for more than simply domestic chores, and this proved to be beneficial for both women and men alike. As women were finally recognised for their contributions as nurses and medical aids, they were provided with a sense of importance and their position in society was elevated. Without the women who courageously partook in these organisations, the casualty rates would have been much higher, so the services that these women provided were undeniably invaluable. Because women played such an instrumental role in World War 1, the war became a time when women s roles that were previously thought to be mundane were finally acknowledged and respected, bringing a whole new level to women s empowerment. Although women were actively participating in the military itself, their involvement in the civilian workforce was just as equality asserting and significant, especially when women began to take on roles such as running their countries transport systems. During the advent of war, the need for transport increased exponentially, as supplies, personnel, and other war related equipment were in higher demand. With the men enlisted in the army, there was no choice but for the women to take over these professions, including working on the rail and tram lines and driving trucks, cranes, cars, and motorbikes for the war. Though I can t agree with everything he puts forth, I can say that I would rather live in his Utopia than the other countries he described. Sadly, some of those negative attributes, found in other countries, are found here in America. If I could make changes to my own country, some of his Utopian methods would be a great replacement. His ideas came from a time in history when life was a lot simpler. Had he only known how much of the unnecessary pleasures this world would indulge in, he would ve had many more examples of how not to live. Though kings of his time enjoyed their gold, provocative artwork, and fancy kingdoms, inventions like the iPhone and obscene internet sites would surely be deemed ridiculous. For starters, his idea of a shorter work day made a lot of sense. Focus on careers that produce more of what we need and remove those professions that cater to a tiny percentage of our wealthiest citizens. This would probably take our country back in time, by removing many services people are used to having in 2017. However, his idea of Utopia sounds better than living in the present. We have gotten away from what is important in life. The shorter work day gives us more time to ourselves, more time with family, and would be less stressful for our bodies and minds. Most would have to disagree with these theories just because of the age of their births, but to most people s surprise they still hold in the 21st century. The arousal theory is basically self explanatory. This was theorized by P.H. Tannenbaum in 1975. He said exposure to television violence increases aggression because violence increases excitation, or arouses viewers (Tannenbaum Zillman, 1975). This is also being found in the recent studies, which shows the progression in the media s will to change. The social learning theory was described by Dr. Bandura. This theory says ways of behaving are learned by observing others, and that this is a major means by which children acquire unfamiliar behavior, although performance of acquired behavior will depend at least in part on factors other than acquisition (Bandura, 1973). A perfect example of this theory was when the murders occurred after the prizefights. The disinhibition hypothesis was L. Berkowitz s investigation. This hypothesis explains that television violence in certain circumstances will result in increased interpersonal aggression because it weakens inhibitions against such behavior (Berkowitz, 1962).The final theory, catharsis hypothesis was written by S. Of course, this is excellent news because the survival rate for cancers caught early is much better than for cancers caught in stage three or later. Even so, bladder cancer has an unusual habit of growing in several places at once, so although it may be possible to catch one or two tumors, any invisible third, fourth, and fifth tumors may not become symptomatic for another several months. • 40. The Pros And Cons Of The Berlin Wall Usually walls are put into places to avoid people to cross borders and keep peace but they destroy peace. Recently one could have heard in the News that Trump wants the Mexicans to pay for a wall between Mexico and the United States. This Wall should make it impossible for people to cross the border unofficially. As one could know from history classes, we had a wall in Germany for many years which was built by the winner countries of the second world war for a similar reason. Before the Wall, many people from East Germany tried to escape to West Germany where they had obviously better living conditions. It divided Germany in East and West Germany. Additionally, there was a part of Berlin, what was in the East German part, isolated from a huge wall that belonged to West Germany. This wall made it hard for the citizens of East Germany to visit West Germany. The Government of East Germany had other principles than the government of West Germany and it was not in the interest of the East German government to show their citizens how good their life could be in West Germany. After the falling of the Wall, it was possible for everyone to travel in Germany whenever they want without standing in line at the borders. But there was a big gap in wealth between East and West Germany. Even today the loans in West Germany are lower and the federal states have less money than the ones in West Germany. But in Berlin, one can visit ruins of the Berlin Wall which are colored and painted. As one could know from visiting Berlin, there is only a small part of the Wall left but at other parts, one could find the position of the wall with marked flagging on the ground. Additionally, one could buy a piece of the wall as a souvenir. Standing in front of the ruins of the Berlin wall inspires this realization: Peace is about breaking barriers not building them. Section three of Patrick Major s book Behind the Berlin Wall: East Germany and the Frontiers of Power published in 2010 from the Oxford University Press Inc., called The Fall of the Wall: 9 November 1989 is about developing the reasons for the fall of the wall. An example of the presence of conflicting emotions is that although he shows much hospitality to both of his guests in the time that they are in his residence, he has obvious negative feelings toward the Arab s situation. The free market theory believes that business managers have only one primary responsibility, which is to maximize profit; also, the theory tells that government should not involve in economic matters, except to prevent fraud and coercion (p. 7) Mr. Friedman argues that a corporation, unlike a person, cannot have responsibility. I disagree with this notion. I don t think that anyone would engage in a business contract with a corporation if they thought that a corporation was not responsible to pay its bills. So therefore, a corporation can have legal, and moral responsibilities. Milton Friedman uses what, to me, is the key phrase as long as it stays within the rules of the game but does not define the phrase in terms of the legal system. My question is what about the rules of the game that are not so much as even suggested in the law? There are other rules that companies have to follow if they want to be successful; such as the obvious supply and demand rules in the marketplace. Also, as we have seen with the production of new ideas and technologies, the law follows progressions in technology and thinking. But the principle of responsibility leads the legal cases being decided. By the time you will be reading this, the world s environmental factors would have changed greatly. Now you must be thinking that I m crazy, but glaciers actually existed and there is evidence of their existence. There are many pieces of evidence that support the evidence of glaciers, but the following are some of the more common pieces of evidence. Glaciers are a slow moving ice masses that are formed by the accumulation, compaction, and recrystallization of snow on mountains or near the poles (extremely cold regions). When the water solidifies, it pushes pieces of rock in the outward direction. The rock is at that point plucked and carried out by the streaming ice of the moving glacier. With the weight of the ice over them, these rocks can scratch profoundly into the underlying bedrock, making long, parallel grooves in the bedrock, called striations.
