As this session began, I welcomed Morgan in and asked her to summarize her problem in her own
words. I did this because I wanted to hear what my client views her problem as. After summarizing
her problem, Morgan informed me that she has stopped drug use but attributes this behavior to not

have focused on it a little more. After dropping the bombshell that she did not have any feelings at all

I felt more clam and better prepared to actively listen to what my client was saying. Unlike the first
role play, I really tried to demonstrate the skills and theories I was most comfortable with. Overall, I
think I used a very affective strategy when helping my client. In both sessions I tried to create a warm,
nonjudgmental, and safe environment for Morgan to express her feelings. I also used a
phenomenological approach by staying in the present with my client and trying not to focus too much
on the past. I believe this approach was very affective being that my client did not want to talk about
her feelings at first but then opened up and discussed more of them. Looking back on the session I
realize that being affective is one of my strengths, and one of my weaknesses is not picking up on
valuable information my client is giving. If I could change anything about this session it would be to
go back and ask Morgan to explain how her mother affects her anxiety. After stepping away from the

It is a right that is often overlooked. I agreed with Picard when he provided that the right to die is in a
way a symbolic right that we should have as it gives us a choice if certain requirements are met. I also
found it interesting that the concern of the slippery slope is not always the case/problem. After the

were written in differing perspectives, reflecting not only social classes but also gender roles of the
time period. At the time these books were written, men and women had very different roles in society.
Women were in the midst of a long arduous battle of the women suffrage movement and as they
gained ground in this fight the gender roles started to change along with the country: Westward
expansion also demanded that many women step outside prescribed gender roles and perform men s

Many technical fields rely on user manuals, operator manuals and technical manuals to do their day to
day tasks at work. Without these manuals there would be too much information for one person to
know to be able to their job. Accidents, personal or equipment would be more frequent in the work
field. That is why manuals are developed, to prevent accidents and to keep people informed of updated
information on equipment. So a well developed and written manual will help a person succeed at their
job, which is why someone needs to critique a manual before it is released to the public.

Conciseness
The reading of each instruction leaves a person with no doubt on what they are supposed to do, and
when a step is done and what step to take next. Each topic is short and to the point and clear.
Consistency
All paragraphs, heading and graphics are consistent with all material that has been developed in this
manual. Graphics are simple and can be easily followed.
Document Design
Graphic s show a picture of the drill or parts of the drill with arrows and hands showing how to do a
particular part, such as inserting the battery on to the drill. If there was any real issue with this manual
is that there is not enough white space. Sometimes you can get lost because each paragraph and
heading is so close together. The manual though is very organized, with numbering and header
separations. All hazards and warning are easily identified with bold lettering, and a safety triangle (or
danger sign). This was a black and white manual, so there were no color pictures or graphics, which
could lead readers to just skim through the pages and not really read the important information.
I did find the manual very easy to understand and follow, however there are a few things that I think
that the writers of this manual could have done. Adding color to the manual does keep the interest of
the reader, I found myself wanting to skim through

College Sports Is Not A Career Or Profession
An article written by Horace Mitchell called, Students Are Not Professional Athletes , caught my
attention the moment I read the title. In the article, Mitchell said Collegiate sports is not a career or
profession. It is the students vehicle to a higher education degree. Meaning that you only play college
sport for four year, if that. You are at college to get an education and to get a job after and start your
life. There are only a select number of collegiate athletes that will go to the professionals. If you are
not one of those select few, but still receiving a scholarship, you are there to play sport because it pays
your tuition. Mitchell then says that most division one athlete do not have time for a job, but maybe
raising the financial aid would help out. I think this would be a good idea, but if they increasing the
financial aid, they should make it available to all divisions. But, if it is increased, what happens if the
NCAA runs out of money to pay for all the athletes to go to college for free? Where would the money
come from then. No matter the situation involving the NCAA it would take years and years of figuring
out to even be considered. Kristi Dosh wrote an article titled The Problems With Paying College

Imagine living in a society where you have no control over your own life. In the book Anthem written
by Ayn Rand, the characters are told how to live by the government. They have no control over their
life, and they must follow the laws and rules. If any person breaks these laws and rules, they will be
punished severely. There are no exceptions, no warnings, one strike and they re done. In Anthem the
government has enforced many rules. A few of the rules may include the we law, the no affection law
