Comparing Chopin s The Interlopers And Story Of An Hour
When you go to compare and contrast, the first items you look for would probably be the obvious,
such as the plot. The Interlopers and Story of an Hour (Saki and Kate Chopin, respectively) are not
easily comparable in their plot, settings or subjects; however, the devices and some main parts are the
same. There are situational ironies in both. In The Interlopers, they are fighting with each other and
you expect one to die, then the story twists, and they become friends. Then the story twists again, and
the ending makes it seem like they both die. No, said Ulrich with a laugh, the idiotic chattering laugh
of a man unstrung with hideous fear. Who are they? asked Georg quickly, straining his eyes to see
what the other would gladly not have seen. Wolves. 1 Accordingly, in Story of ... Show more content

2 In this, we also see that there is death in both stories. There is a tree or trees in both, but it is a bigger
part of the story in The Interlopers. In The Interlopers, a tree falls during a storm and pinions the two
main characters to the ground. A fierce shriek of the storm had been answered by a splitting crash over
their heads, and ere they could leap aside, a mass of falling beech tree had thundered down on them. 3
This causes them to become friends, but also causes their deaths. In Story of an Hour, the main
character observes the trees through the window, but not much else is said about them. Both stories
mention families, although family is most important in Story of an Hour. In Story of an Hour, the main
character s family comes to comfort her, after her husbands tragic supposed death. She lets them
console her, but then she doesn t want them near, and runs to her room to have some time to herself.
She wept at once, with sudden, wild abandonment, in her sister s arms. When the storm of grief had
spent itself she went away to her room alone. She would have no one follow her.

Advertising Is A Multi Billion Dollar Industry
Advertisements are everywhere. Whether they are on television, radio, internet, or in a magazine,
there is no way that we can escape them. They have all their target audience who they have specially
designed the ad for. They often use manipulating schemes, get into people psychotically in order to
sell their products. Advertising is a multi billion dollar industry and the advertising s study was created
so that they can attract the audience s attention. There is always an image or a symbol on an
advertisement that is able to attract consumers attention and shift their interest to appeals and desires.
An advertising is able to travel beyond its expectations through the audience s mind by using a simple
piece of paper displaying an image or an encouraging phrase. In the Adidas sneaker advertisement,
their demographic target is anyone from teenager age to around 30 year old adults. The Adidas
sneaker advertisement contains a few aspects in it, for example, the dark background that contrasts
with the brighter sneaker, the brightness of the sneaker, the wings, the angle of the toe, etc. In the
Adidas commercial presented, advertisers were able to successfully accomplish their objective of
capturing the consumers attention by innovating the audience s needs to achieve, dominate and
escape.
Advertisements have become an integral part of our daily lives. The endless advertisements shape the
society in which we are living. But people are being exposed to hundreds of advertisements

Egypt Vs. Egypt s Way Of Life
Egypt is very different from India s way of life. I worked around the priests and nobles and you could
tell right away that they were not very courteous to those under them. Each day I go down to get the
queen s dates and wine, I would pass Ramses the Magnificent (Only he calls himself that) who is the
queen s most dependable merchant because of his ability to get the necessary items for the palace in a
day. Everywhere I went there were about ten guards posted, I even had my personal guard courtesy of
her highness. If I could be queen I would let everyone be free of judgement and marry whomever they
please and do whatever job they would please. My job as Cleopatra s lady in waiting became very
interesting today. I had just come from helping

Infect Influenza Vaccines
When we hear the word virus, we usually think of something that makes us sick. A virus is an
ultramicroscopic infectious organism that, having no independent metabolic activity, can replicate
only within a cell of another host organism. A virus consists of a core of nucleic acid, either RNA or
DNA, surrounded by a coating of antigenic protein and sometimes a lipid layer surrounds it as well.
The viral genome provides the genetic code for replication, and the host cell provides the necessary
energy and raw materials. To fight viruses, we use vaccines. While some may infect a broad range,
other viruses can only infect certain kinds of cells. Vaccines are made of inactive, dead or weakened
virus cells or protein antigens that can no longer infect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Center for Disease Control (CDC), influenza viruses are divided into three types,
designated as A, B, and C. Influenza type C usually only causes either very mild symptoms or no
symptoms at all. Types A and B, however, are responsible for epidemics of respiratory illnesses that
can result in hospitalization, or even death. Influenza is constantly changing over time by mutations.
This continual change allows the virus to evade the antibodies that were meant to kill it. A host
infected with influenza virus develops antibodies against that virus; as the virus changes, the first
antibody no longer recognizes the newer virus and infection can occur because the host does not
recognize the new flu virus as a problem until the infection is well under way. The first antibody
developed may, in some instances, provide partial protection against infection with a new influenza
virus. According to Medicine Net.com, In 2009, almost all individuals had no antibodies that could
recognize the novel H1N1 virus immediately. It quickly spread throughout the world so fast that the
WHO declared this new flu strain (termed novel H1N1 influenza A swine flu). There are currently
four main strains of influenza circulating worldwide. Three of the viruses are type A, and one is type
B. Type A viruses are divided into subtypes based on the differences in two viral proteins called
hemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N). The three subtypes of influenza A are A(H1N1), A(H3N2),
and A(H5N1). The reason for several strands of type A are because of the two kinds of change

Harbor Freight Tools Essay
Greeting everyone, This is a new blog representing our project of Harbor Freight Tools. Our goal is to
represent facts of what the team researched in order to present the fellow viewers what the company is
about, key concepts of the store, and give an educated hypothesis on how the store can improve
without slandering it s name. We would like to thank the management of Harbor Freight Tools, located
in Union NJ, for allowing us to interview it s staff, and ask various questions about the work process.
They were very informative, compliant and helpful in conducting our analysis. Warehouse Manager

Fico Score Research Paper
There are a lot of different credit scores that you may see from your FICO scores, to your Credit
Karma score, to a score provided by your credit card. The three credit bureaus created VantageScore®,
which is another credit system that produces credit scores and gives a letter grade based on the
numeric range. With all of these companies offering credit scores, how do you know which one is
right?
Unfortunately, there is no one right credit score. This is because you have several credit scores you
don t have just one credit score.
It s impossible to know which credit score your lender will use. Often, lenders rely on a FICO score
from TransUnion, Experian, or Equifax. But it s not fair to say that all other scores are FAKO scores a
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, your credit card company could include a free credit score on your monthly bill that
shows a 750 score based on TransUnion information but when you actual buy your TransUnion score,
you could see a score of 780. This would not be unusual.
As if that s not enough variation, you can also have different FICO scores between each of the three
credit agencies (TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax). If your FICO scores vary significantly from
each of the agencies, it is likely that the underlying information on your credit reports varies in a
significant way. If this is the case, check your credit reports to compare the information between each
of the agencies.
Because you can only get your FICO credit score by paying for it, you may want to rely on one of the
other methods of getting your credit score more frequently (such as through Credit Karma or your
credit card company). Not only that, but you don t know (and can t know) which score a lender will
look at. For these reasons, you may want to continue to monitor your non FICO scores.

The Creation, Creation And Creation In The Hebrew Bible
Throughout the history of mankind, the most common and unanswered question has been the origin or
creation of the universe. Whether it is the creation of plants or the cosmos, origin stories and theories
have been concepts at the forefront of human curiosity. In the Hebrew Bible, the origin of mankind
and the universe is not told in one story, but in two contrasting tales. Along with these two
contradicting stories come different purposes and lessons given to the reader. Both stories center
around the Lord, creator of the universe, but tell of two conflicting beginnings for the universe. The
two stories are meant to give the reader a sense of welcoming and amazement in the Lord, and also to
provide a sense of reason to humanity and its place on earth. These stories are set in a specific order to
amplify their lessons and compliment each other with their contrasting details. The two creation
stories can be found in Genesis. The first story involves the Lord as the protagonist, and the creator of
all things good. First, light was created, followed by the universe, the earth, the plants, the animals,
and concludes with the creation of humans. In this first story, it takes the Lord six days to create the
entire universe, including its inhabitants. On the seventh day He (the Lord) rests (Gen 2:2 NIV).
Today the seventh day is known as the Sabbath, or Sunday. This story is poetic, and can be seen as an
entrance hymn into the Hebrew Bible. It does not go into detail as to how all things were made, but it
covers the greatness in accomplishing everything in such a short amount of time. The Lord created
everything and He thought it was good, giving the reader a joyous story to begin his or her journey
into the Hebrew Bible (The Two Creation Stories).
The first story is not meant to teach a lesson, but to give beauty to the world around the reader. The
lesson provides an understanding of a seven day week, why many did not work on Sunday, and where
the universe began. The first creation story is used to put the reader in amazement of the Lord. The
reader is given an explanation as to the most common things in life, and is able to understand the
origin of everything he or she can see. The Lord can create the universe in

Chaos In A Midsummer Night s Dream
Many people go through different chaotic experiences in their lives, however, how one decides to
restore order to their chaos, is most important. In William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s
Dream, due to simultaneous appearances of chaos throughout the play, it leaves the audience
speculating about the order yet to come, thus, developing/strengthening the plot of the play. The
various occurrences of order and chaos within the play include the arguments between Titania and
Oberon, the unstable love circle between the four lovers and finally the bizarre relationship between
Titania and Bottom. To begin with, the first occurrence of order and chaos within the play concerns
Oberon and Titania and their quarreling. When the two main powers of the ... Show more content on

The last consequence of the fairy world and real world colliding involve Titania and Bottom. Due to
Oberon clouding Titania s vision and Puck turning Bottom into an ass, it mixes together perfectly, to
form a very humorous, yet chaotic situation. This relationship is very important for the structure of the
play due to it being it the base for the entire plot. The whole reason Titania and Bottom s relationship
prevails is that Oberon needs a distraction for her, it would make his task much easier to acquire the
child if Titania was preoccupied. The main plot revolves around this and soon after, more conflicts
follow. This the last conflict that Shakespeare must restore order to, making it a very important
moment. Oberon restores order to the situation after he has met his goal, saying I will release the fairy
queen [Squeezing a herb on Titania s eyes] (IV.i.69), Titania has no memory of the child or their
altercations, therefore their relationship is now as it was before the child. Soon after, Hippolyta makes
a remark indirectly addressing the order and chaos within the play,

Five Platonic Solids
The Five Platonic Solids The five platonic solids are the tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron,
and the icosahedron. They are named for the Greek philosopher Plato. Plato wrote about them in The
Timaeus (c.360 B.C.) in which he paired each of the four classical elements, earth, air, water, and fire
with a regular solid. Earth was paired with the cube, air with the octahedron, water with the
icosahedron, and fire with the tetrahedron. The fifth Platonic solid, the dodecahedron, Plato says that,

element, the ether and postulated that the heavens were made of this element, but he had no interest in

Some people credit Pythagoras with their discovery. Others say he may have been only familiar with
them and that the octahedron and icosahedron belong to Theaetetus. Theaetetus was the first to give a
mathematical description of all five and could have been responsible for the first piece of proof that no
other regular polyhedra are out there. A net is the shape that is made by unfolding a 3D figure. A net is
made up of all the faces of a figure. For a solid to be considered a platonic it needs each face to be a
regular polygon and each vertex must come together because if only two came together the figure
would collapse on itself. The sum of each interior angle of the faces meeting at a vertex must be less
than 360 degrees. A polyhedra solid must have all flat faces, whilst a non polyhedra solid has a least
one of its surfaces that is not flat. Regular means all angles are of equal measure, all faces are
congruent or equal in every way, and all edges are of equal length. 3D means that shape has width,
depth and height. A polygon is a closed shape in a plane figure with at least five straight edges. A dual
is a Platonic Solid that fits inside another Platonic Solid and connects to the midpoint of each

Examples Of Greed In The Crucible
Introduction: Greed does not rest until it is satisfied, and greed is never satisfied (Eastland). The play
The Crucible by Arthur Miller shows the audience that through the aspirations and actions of Abigail
Williams and Thomas Putnam, if greed is (lustier than pity) able to out power pity, there will be
suffering. Abigail and Thomas use the witch trials as a type of greed to seek revenge, gain power and
increase their wealth, which causes devastation and destruction in the town of Salem. Point of
Comparison #1: Seek Revenge An act of retaliation for an offence is known as seeking revenge.
Through the actions by Thomas Putnam and Abigail Williams the readers determine that they use the
witch trials to seek revenge in hope to conquer their greedy vindictive feeling, however this leads to
suffering. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thomas Putnam s greed for power in the court conquers his morals. Due to this, the amount of
suffering and devastation in the town of Salem starts to escalate because of the amount of false
accusations Putnam is allowed to make and be successful in. Abigail uses her innocence as a young
kid to get the court to believe all she says; by doing this she gains power in the court. When John
Proctor forces Mary Warren to tell the truth about the voodoo doll and save Elizabeth Proctor, Abigail
betrays her friends and goes into a state of insanity as if Mary Warren is sending the devil after her; all
to keep herself safe and away from the accusations. Abigail s selfishness and greediness during the
witch trials is lustier than her pity and this now allows her to use her innocence in the court as an
advantage to gain power. The suffering Abigail has caused now spread to multiple people and is
devastating the town of Salem, while showing no signs of slowing

Feasibility And Feasibility Of Autonomous Cars
Feasibility of Autonomous cars in India
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), India has been declared as a country with the
highest number of accidents in the world. 430,654 people were killed in road traffic crashes in India in
2010 according to National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB 2010). This is attributable partly to an
increase in the number of vehicles on the road, and partly to the absence of a coordinated official
policy to control the problem. These numbers translate into 1 road accident every minute and 1 road
accident death every four minutes. Given this scenario, I was wondering ways of limiting road
accidents thereby loss of precious human lives, less crimes on violations, etc. What struck me on
pondering this topic for some time was feasibility of using autonomous cars on Indian roads. While
surely it could bring down number of road accidents and loss of human lives, roadmap of introducing
these types of vehicles needs to be clearly drawn. Feasibility study around how to handle practical
glitches like slow moving traffic, traffic rules, punishable offences, responsibility vehicle operators
and manufacturers would be keen. Availability of electrical energy for operating these vehicles (which
is already deficient in supply), operational approach to measure success of this mode of transport,
policy changes required at Central Government and different State Governments and more importantly
timelines by which all related procedures, and regulatory

Civil And Divine Law In Antigone By Sophocles
Standing for what you believe in and knowing what s right and wrong is important . In the play,
Antigone, Sophocles demonstrates that through the conflict of the character. The play is a well known
tragic drama about the conflict between Antigone and her uncle Creon who is king of Thebes. Both
characters have different beliefs, ideas and opinions regarding divine law and civil law.The conflict
between civil and divine law through Antigone and Creon, shows the important one s beliefs and how
it impacts the outcome of the play. A reader can Identifying which law is more essential in the play by

Analysis Of Being Mortal
Being Mortal was an interesting book, it poses some very good questions, such as living independent
as a senior, which identifies the desire of most elderly people, to be able to have the freedom to choose
how and where they re going to live. As pictured in the book, some of the facilities that seniors are
living in do not encourage independent living, or freedom of choice. Honestly, in some facilities
people do die quicker, not from illness, but lost of purpose. As people age, learning to except their
limitations and physical changes may not be easy; trying to adjust mentally and emotionally is
difficult to say the least, changes none the less presents problems. For me, these first two statements

Simply Complexed Women From the beginning women were thought of as being inferior to men,
especially when it comes to literature. However, William Faulkner was of the belief that women were
the foundation of the family, but also depicted women being as a lesser, more gullible, and small

issues of the time such as sexism, social class, and racism. A Rose for Emily focuses on sexism and
some class issues, showing comparisons between men and women. Women of the 19th century were

and only a woman could have believed it (Faulkner ), continued to perpetuate the belief that woman
were simple minded. While the story is written in a series of flashbacks, the reader can see that Emily
has been with an attitude towards men for decades. This sort of behavior is one that Faulkner would
disagree with; As it looks like Emily found the voice and status she was looking for, it can also be said
that the blatant disrespect to patriarchal society and the disregard for them can cause you to stay an old
maid, alone. Women were supposed to follow certain rules, and men were the stronger sex. Emily
Grierson retreated to her house and away from everyone else with the sudden desertion of her fiancée.
It can be inferred that she could not live with more people deserting or making her reminisce while
they coddle her:

The War On Drugs And Drugs
The war on drugs is a long going battle and it has created many issues all around the world and as of
today the highest prison population can be found in the United States due to drug charges. About half
of the inmates with in federal and state prisons can be found on drug convictions. Those charges can
range from possession of an illicit substance to drug trafficking that surprisingly continues to be an
issue in federal and state prisons. How can United States put an end to the war on drugs?
Many people cope with drug use, abuse, and many inmates who have been convicted on drug offenses
deal with addiction as well. The United States has the leading amount of people within the prison
system and most are for drug offenses nevertheless, many of those people contend with drug
addiction. Drug addiction is a disease that so many cope with; it is reliance on a substance and for
whatever reason the addiction continues to take over one s life and choices. Drug abusers can
sometimes see a means to an end when it comes to their drug addiction, whether its alcohol, a
hardcore drug like heroin or cocaine, or prescription medication the person will do what it takes to
feed their addiction. People have their reasons for why they need to do drugs, it could be to escape
their own reality, a coping mechanism, or it could be just because it makes them feel good. Sometimes
that need can surpass a person s better judgement leading to criminal acts being committed because
they need to

Financial Analysis of Disney
I. I only hope we never lose sight of one thing It was all started by a mouse, Walt Disney. The Walt
Disney Company has grown dramatically since its start in 1923. Its financial statements show that the
company is in a great financial situation and looks to be continuing in that direction.
II. A) The top management team is made up of John E. Pepper Jr., Robert A. Iger, and Thomas O.
Staggs. Pepper, 69, is the chairman of the board while he is also the CEO of the National Railroad
Freedom Center. He has also had several positions with Procter amp; Gamble. Iger, 56, is the

He also produced propaganda and training films for the military. The Walt Disney Company had a
hard time regaining its pre war popularity. For several years, the Company released package films
which contained groups of short cartoons. At this time, he also moved to working with live production
with Song of the South and So Dear to My Heart. The studio had three major accomplishments in
1950: the first completely live action film, Treasure Island; the return to classic animation, Cinderella;
and the first Disney television show at Christmas time. With this Christmas special, Walt saw the
potential in television and started the Disneyland anthology series, which featured Davy Crocket the
first mini series. The series played on all three networks and went through six name changes, but it is
the longest running series, twenty nine years. The Mickey Mouse Club premiered in 1955 and
produced many stars. Walt wanted to create something new. He wanted a place where parents and
children could have fun together. This was the groundwork for Disneyland. It took many years of
planning and construction, but on July 17, 1955, Disneyland opened its gates. This was a new type of
experience It was like entering a movie screen and being able to fly with Peter Pan, explore the wild

Phoenix Railroad City
When you hear Phoenix many things may come to mind. The heat, the large suburban population, the
Suns. Trains, however, are something that most people don t think about when they hear Phoenix. By
all means, Phoenix is not a railroad city. However, while Phoenix may not be the railroad capital of the
country, we do have a very rich history with the railroads.
The picture to your right may be new to you. It might be a familiar sight. What is it? Well, it s
obviously a train station, but which one? It s not San Diego s Union Station. It s not the Tucson or
Albuquerque Amtrak stations. Although it might be surprising to think about, this station is the
Phoenix Union Station! To those who have lived in Phoenix before 1996, when Amtrak discontinued
service, this may not be all too surprising. However, for us post 96 transplants, the thought of an
Amtrak train, and for that matter any passenger train, traveling through the Phoenix Metro is a weird
and humorous thought. Yet, for twenty years now, Phoenix has been the largest city in the United
States without passenger service. Amtrak had rerouted the Sunset Limited after the Union Pacific ...

the passengers were suddenly awoken by the derailment of the train. Emergency services from the city

injured and one dead. Spotted along the tracks were several notes, signed by a group called the Sons

several ties were pulled up and that the track s circuit system was tampered with so it wouldn t alert
the trains in the area of damaged track. Twenty years laters, and the investigation is still ongoing. It is

The Pen Of Thomas Paine
These are the times that try men s souls. Rarely have there been as powerful and as meaningful words
as these from the pen of Thomas Paine. Paine was one of the many men who experienced the harsh
effects of the war. The war was deadly, more deadly than ever could be expressed through words. The
extremes of the war were felt by all, although some felt the cruelty the war more than others. Men
from many different walks of life and men from different sides of the war all had their souls tried by
this war. Some of the men, who joined the Colonial Army, could not take these trials once the going
got tough. When the war started in the summer of 1776, the Army was doing well with the victory of
Boston behind them, and with the excitement of defending Manhattan in the future, many men joined
the Colonial Army. When the Americans lost New York, started to retreat through New Jersey, and the
weather turned rainy, the number of men in the Colonial Army started to drop significantly. Men were
deserting or waiting until their enlistments were up and then would not re enlist (McCullough 249).
These numbers dropped even farther once the weather turned poor when the rain and snow came
(McCullough 81). This shows precisely what Paine meant by his second statement in The American
Crisis, The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his
country... All the men of the war were suffering, but the men who stuck it out even in the hardest of

Abolishment In Frankenstein
Despite how extravagantly different the creation scene is in Shelley s novel compared to what is
presented on screen, there is little to say on the subject. As already mentioned in the introduction, the
tradition of exuberant, showy creation scenes didn t begin with the original textit{Frankenstein}
(1931), but with the 1910 edition, where it lends half of its runtime to the conjuration of the monster.
Each iteration of Frankenstein thereafter copies this extravagant method of portraying the creation
scene, and as they do so, knowledge of Shelley s minimal description is lost. First, we must explore
why her version of events isn t inclusive of the embellishment and indulgence on screen.

In Shelley s text, the scene consists of a few ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet he acknowledges that this moment is not one to celebrate, and thus compensates for this using
other methods, turning the showy scene from a contradiction to a juxtaposition that emphasises the
monstrosity of not only the monster, but Victor s actions in creating it: First, the monster lunges from a
great copper sarcophagus filled with water to make it a kind of womb. After he lands sprawling in the
spill tank under it, Victor lifts him up, vainly tries to show him how to walk, then ties him standing to
a set of chains. But when the struggling creature is struck by a falling piece of wood and shortly goes
limp, Victor concludes that he himself has killed this luckless heir to massive birth defects. and that
this evil must be destroyed...forever. footcite{James Heffernan, Looking at the Monster: Frankenstein
and Film pp.143} This departure from the novel highlights Victor as a more paternal figure than the
text implies, making a point of the undercurrent of dread the scene should evoke, yet contrivedly
conveying Victor s repulsion at the creature in this scene, Victor is less repulsed by the creature, as
Shelley s text strongly emphasises, but more toward his own actions. It is only when Victor wakes up
to the sight of the lumbering creature in the next scene does he cry out No! . This decision creates a
confusing tone where it could initially be misconstrued by the audience that Branagh s Victor is
merely startled by the presence of a monster he had presumed dead, muddling up the message of
Victor s regret and of the repercussions of rebirth that Shelley intends on

Difference Between Fishbein And Ajzen s Theory Of Behaviour
According to Ajzen s (1991) theory models, behavior is depend to the behavioral intention. There are
three factors which influence the behavioral intention, which are the attitude towards behavior,
subjective norms and perceived behavior control. Attitudes are a complete mental state involving
belief, feelings, values and temperament to act in certain ways. A subjective norm is the sanctions of
certain behavior of one or more individuals about their perception and the extent how the behavior
will mould up the perception. Perceived behavioral control refers to an individual s perception
regarding the extent of control he or she has over a particular behavior. According to Fishbein and
Ajzen (1975), the rating by an individual for an event will be either positive or negative. This
evaluation can affect an individual s attitude. Furthermore, Bobek (1997) expressed that attitude of an
individual, either good or bad, are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Culture has many definitions, and it affects everything people do in their society because of their
ideas, values, attitudes, and normative or expected patterns of behaviour. Culture is not genetically
inherited, and cannot exist on its own, but is always shared by members of a society (Hall 1976, p.
16). Hofstede (1980, pp. 21 23) defines culture as the collective programming of the mind which
distinguishes the members of one group from another , which is passed from generation to generation,
it is changing all the time because each generation adds something of its own before passing it on. The
social capital literature has shown that socially held beliefs can shape not only collective actions but
government and economic performance (North 1981; Knack and Keefer, 1997; Landes, 1998; La
Porta et al., 1999; Putnam, 1993). Indeed, La Porta et al. (1999:223) argued that some societies are so
intolerant or distrustful that their governments simply cannot function

Van Gogh Major Accomplishments
There were many great and famous artists in the world,, some of which weren t famous until they
were dead and the only thing that remained of them was the artwork, Like my artist Van Gogh. Van
Gogh was considered a very dark artist. Most of his work was quite depressing to look at so people
didn t like his art until a later time when he started traveling more and started making bright pastel and
colorful pieces. That was the first time he was noticed. There are some very interesting facts about Van
Gogh, for example his full name is Vincent Willem Van Gogh. He was also born in Holland and he
had a brother who shared the same name with him. Many people know him for his art but not many
people know that he was actually meant to be a pastor but he found a greater connection to art, which
he didn t start doing until he was 27. When he finally started doing his art it wasn t very popular, so he

restrained from doing so. The asylum is also where he died supposedly, his death is partial mystery. It
is believed he either died in the arms of his brother, or he was killed by his brother or an assassin.
People remember Van Gogh for many reasons, mainly his most popular piece of art, Starry Night.
People love his brighter pictures with pastels and magical environments. He wanted his darker first art

An Interview to Compare Adult Learners
The purpose of this 10 minutes interview with three different individuals in age ranges of 20 s, 40 s,
and 60 s is simply to give me a better understanding of how and where adult education practices. With
the use of some questionnaires, the three interviews have shown that in different age ranges view
learning differently. Everyone can learn new ideas and concepts even with age differences and
economic status but, what needs to be learned and the purpose of learning are different depending on
the age of an individual. The ability to keep information within an individual also differs due to aging.
The interview clearly shows that as an individual age, the ability to remember facts, dates, and names
decline and memory storage is not functional as it used to be. Therefore, one needs to understand the
age range of people encountered in life especially in regards to learning so that effective strategies
could be implemented.
A Comparison of Adult Learners On March 10, 2014, the interview started at 1pm to 3pm.There were
three interviewee individuals in the age ranges of 20 s, 40 s and 60 s that believe have great impact of
learning in the community in so many ways. As the interview started, the interviewer informed that

bridged the generation gap and language barriers. They were trend setters, with their style of dress and

Indian music, and Eastern mysticism.
The Beatles last concert was in San Francisco in 1966. The band broke up in 1970. Lennon went on to
record solo albums and with his wife, Yoko Ono.
McCartney went on to form Paul McCartney and Wings, with his wife, Linda.

  • 2. Comparing Chopin s The Interlopers And Story Of An Hour When you go to compare and contrast, the first items you look for would probably be the obvious, such as the plot. The Interlopers and Story of an Hour (Saki and Kate Chopin, respectively) are not easily comparable in their plot, settings or subjects; however, the devices and some main parts are the same. There are situational ironies in both. In The Interlopers, they are fighting with each other and you expect one to die, then the story twists, and they become friends. Then the story twists again, and the ending makes it seem like they both die. No, said Ulrich with a laugh, the idiotic chattering laugh of a man unstrung with hideous fear. Who are they? asked Georg quickly, straining his eyes to see what the other would gladly not have seen. Wolves. 1 Accordingly, in Story of ... In The Interlopers, a tree falls during a storm and pinions the two main characters to the ground. A fierce shriek of the storm had been answered by a splitting crash over their heads, and ere they could leap aside, a mass of falling beech tree had thundered down on them. 3 This causes them to become friends, but also causes their deaths. In Story of an Hour, the main character observes the trees through the window, but not much else is said about them. Both stories mention families, although family is most important in Story of an Hour. In Story of an Hour, the main character s family comes to comfort her, after her husbands tragic supposed death. She lets them console her, but then she doesn t want them near, and runs to her room to have some time to herself. She wept at once, with sudden, wild abandonment, in her sister s arms. When the storm of grief had spent itself she went away to her room alone. She would have no one follow her. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the Adidas sneaker advertisement, their demographic target is anyone from teenager age to around 30 year old adults. The Adidas sneaker advertisement contains a few aspects in it, for example, the dark background that contrasts with the brighter sneaker, the brightness of the sneaker, the wings, the angle of the toe, etc. In the Adidas commercial presented, advertisers were able to successfully accomplish their objective of capturing the consumers attention by innovating the audience s needs to achieve, dominate and escape. • 5. Infect Influenza Vaccines When we hear the word virus, we usually think of something that makes us sick. A virus is an ultramicroscopic infectious organism that, having no independent metabolic activity, can replicate only within a cell of another host organism. A virus consists of a core of nucleic acid, either RNA or DNA, surrounded by a coating of antigenic protein and sometimes a lipid layer surrounds it as well. The viral genome provides the genetic code for replication, and the host cell provides the necessary energy and raw materials. To fight viruses, we use vaccines. While some may infect a broad range, other viruses can only infect certain kinds of cells. Vaccines are made of inactive, dead or weakened virus cells or protein antigens that can no longer infect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Center for Disease Control (CDC), influenza viruses are divided into three types, designated as A, B, and C. Influenza type C usually only causes either very mild symptoms or no symptoms at all. Types A and B, however, are responsible for epidemics of respiratory illnesses that can result in hospitalization, or even death. Influenza is constantly changing over time by mutations. This continual change allows the virus to evade the antibodies that were meant to kill it. A host infected with influenza virus develops antibodies against that virus; as the virus changes, the first antibody no longer recognizes the newer virus and infection can occur because the host does not recognize the new flu virus as a problem until the infection is well under way. The first antibody developed may, in some instances, provide partial protection against infection with a new influenza virus. According to Medicine Net.com, In 2009, almost all individuals had no antibodies that could recognize the novel H1N1 virus immediately. It quickly spread throughout the world so fast that the WHO declared this new flu strain (termed novel H1N1 influenza A swine flu). There are currently four main strains of influenza circulating worldwide. Three of the viruses are type A, and one is type B. Type A viruses are divided into subtypes based on the differences in two viral proteins called hemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N). The three subtypes of influenza A are A(H1N1), A(H3N2), and A(H5N1). The reason for several strands of type A are because of the two kinds of change influenza A ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The three credit bureaus created VantageScore®, which is another credit system that produces credit scores and gives a letter grade based on the numeric range. With all of these companies offering credit scores, how do you know which one is right? Unfortunately, there is no one right credit score. This is because you have several credit scores you don t have just one credit score. It s impossible to know which credit score your lender will use. Often, lenders rely on a FICO score from TransUnion, Experian, or Equifax. But it s not fair to say that all other scores are FAKO scores a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, your credit card company could include a free credit score on your monthly bill that shows a 750 score based on TransUnion information but when you actual buy your TransUnion score, you could see a score of 780. This would not be unusual. As if that s not enough variation, you can also have different FICO scores between each of the three credit agencies (TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax). If your FICO scores vary significantly from each of the agencies, it is likely that the underlying information on your credit reports varies in a significant way. If this is the case, check your credit reports to compare the information between each of the agencies. Because you can only get your FICO credit score by paying for it, you may want to rely on one of the other methods of getting your credit score more frequently (such as through Credit Karma or your credit card company). • 8. The Creation, Creation And Creation In The Hebrew Bible Throughout the history of mankind, the most common and unanswered question has been the origin or creation of the universe. Whether it is the creation of plants or the cosmos, origin stories and theories have been concepts at the forefront of human curiosity. In the Hebrew Bible, the origin of mankind and the universe is not told in one story, but in two contrasting tales. Along with these two contradicting stories come different purposes and lessons given to the reader. Both stories center around the Lord, creator of the universe, but tell of two conflicting beginnings for the universe. The two stories are meant to give the reader a sense of welcoming and amazement in the Lord, and also to provide a sense of reason to humanity and its place on earth. These stories are set in a specific order to amplify their lessons and compliment each other with their contrasting details. The two creation stories can be found in Genesis. The first story involves the Lord as the protagonist, and the creator of all things good. First, light was created, followed by the universe, the earth, the plants, the animals, and concludes with the creation of humans. In this first story, it takes the Lord six days to create the entire universe, including its inhabitants. On the seventh day He (the Lord) rests (Gen 2:2 NIV). Today the seventh day is known as the Sabbath, or Sunday. This story is poetic, and can be seen as an entrance hymn into the Hebrew Bible. It does not go into detail as to how all things were made, but it covers the greatness in accomplishing everything in such a short amount of time. The Lord created everything and He thought it was good, giving the reader a joyous story to begin his or her journey into the Hebrew Bible (The Two Creation Stories). The first story is not meant to teach a lesson, but to give beauty to the world around the reader. The lesson provides an understanding of a seven day week, why many did not work on Sunday, and where the universe began. The first creation story is used to put the reader in amazement of the Lord. The reader is given an explanation as to the most common things in life, and is able to understand the origin of everything he or she can see. The Lord can create the universe in ... In William Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream, due to simultaneous appearances of chaos throughout the play, it leaves the audience speculating about the order yet to come, thus, developing/strengthening the plot of the play. The various occurrences of order and chaos within the play include the arguments between Titania and Oberon, the unstable love circle between the four lovers and finally the bizarre relationship between Titania and Bottom. The last consequence of the fairy world and real world colliding involve Titania and Bottom. Due to Oberon clouding Titania s vision and Puck turning Bottom into an ass, it mixes together perfectly, to form a very humorous, yet chaotic situation. This relationship is very important for the structure of the play due to it being it the base for the entire plot. The whole reason Titania and Bottom s relationship prevails is that Oberon needs a distraction for her, it would make his task much easier to acquire the child if Titania was preoccupied. The main plot revolves around this and soon after, more conflicts follow. This the last conflict that Shakespeare must restore order to, making it a very important moment. Oberon restores order to the situation after he has met his goal, saying I will release the fairy queen [Squeezing a herb on Titania s eyes] (IV.i.69), Titania has no memory of the child or their altercations, therefore their relationship is now as it was before the child. They are named for the Greek philosopher Plato. Plato wrote about them in The Timaeus (c.360 B.C.) in which he paired each of the four classical elements, earth, air, water, and fire with a regular solid. Earth was paired with the cube, air with the octahedron, water with the icosahedron, and fire with the tetrahedron. Some people credit Pythagoras with their discovery. Others say he may have been only familiar with them and that the octahedron and icosahedron belong to Theaetetus. Theaetetus was the first to give a mathematical description of all five and could have been responsible for the first piece of proof that no other regular polyhedra are out there. A net is the shape that is made by unfolding a 3D figure. A net is made up of all the faces of a figure. For a solid to be considered a platonic it needs each face to be a regular polygon and each vertex must come together because if only two came together the figure would collapse on itself. The sum of each interior angle of the faces meeting at a vertex must be less than 360 degrees. A polyhedra solid must have all flat faces, whilst a non polyhedra solid has a least one of its surfaces that is not flat. Regular means all angles are of equal measure, all faces are congruent or equal in every way, and all edges are of equal length. 3D means that shape has width, depth and height. The play The Crucible by Arthur Miller shows the audience that through the aspirations and actions of Abigail Williams and Thomas Putnam, if greed is (lustier than pity) able to out power pity, there will be suffering. Abigail and Thomas use the witch trials as a type of greed to seek revenge, gain power and increase their wealth, which causes devastation and destruction in the town of Salem. Feasibility And Feasibility Of Autonomous Cars Feasibility of Autonomous cars in India According to the World Health Organization (WHO), India has been declared as a country with the highest number of accidents in the world. 430,654 people were killed in road traffic crashes in India in 2010 according to National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB 2010). This is attributable partly to an increase in the number of vehicles on the road, and partly to the absence of a coordinated official policy to control the problem. These numbers translate into 1 road accident every minute and 1 road accident death every four minutes. Given this scenario, I was wondering ways of limiting road accidents thereby loss of precious human lives, less crimes on violations, etc. What struck me on pondering this topic for some time was feasibility of using autonomous cars on Indian roads. While surely it could bring down number of road accidents and loss of human lives, roadmap of introducing these types of vehicles needs to be clearly drawn. Feasibility study around how to handle practical glitches like slow moving traffic, traffic rules, punishable offences, responsibility vehicle operators and manufacturers would be keen. Analysis Of Being Mortal Being Mortal was an interesting book, it poses some very good questions, such as living independent as a senior, which identifies the desire of most elderly people, to be able to have the freedom to choose how and where they re going to live. As pictured in the book, some of the facilities that seniors are living in do not encourage independent living, or freedom of choice. Honestly, in some facilities people do die quicker, not from illness, but lost of purpose. As people age, learning to except their limitations and physical changes may not be easy; trying to adjust mentally and emotionally is difficult to say the least, changes none the less presents problems. Feminism In A Rose For Emily Etini Samuel Udoko ENGL 102 007 Hatley October 24, 2017 Simply Complexed Women From the beginning women were thought of as being inferior to men, especially when it comes to literature. However, William Faulkner was of the belief that women were the foundation of the family, but also depicted women being as a lesser, more gullible, and small minded person to the fellow man. Faulkner s stories focus on the main themes and timeless moral issues of the time such as sexism, social class, and racism. • 28. The Pen Of Thomas Paine These are the times that try men s souls. Rarely have there been as powerful and as meaningful words as these from the pen of Thomas Paine. Paine was one of the many men who experienced the harsh effects of the war. The war was deadly, more deadly than ever could be expressed through words. The extremes of the war were felt by all, although some felt the cruelty the war more than others. Men from many different walks of life and men from different sides of the war all had their souls tried by this war. Some of the men, who joined the Colonial Army, could not take these trials once the going got tough. When the war started in the summer of 1776, the Army was doing well with the victory of Boston behind them, and with the excitement of defending Manhattan in the future, many men joined the Colonial Army. When the Americans lost New York, started to retreat through New Jersey, and the weather turned rainy, the number of men in the Colonial Army started to drop significantly. Men were deserting or waiting until their enlistments were up and then would not re enlist (McCullough 249). These numbers dropped even farther once the weather turned poor when the rain and snow came (McCullough 81). • 29. Abolishment In Frankenstein Despite how extravagantly different the creation scene is in Shelley s novel compared to what is presented on screen, there is little to say on the subject. As already mentioned in the introduction, the tradition of exuberant, showy creation scenes didn t begin with the original textit{Frankenstein} (1931), but with the 1910 edition, where it lends half of its runtime to the conjuration of the monster. Each iteration of Frankenstein thereafter copies this extravagant method of portraying the creation scene, and as they do so, knowledge of Shelley s minimal description is lost. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Yet he acknowledges that this moment is not one to celebrate, and thus compensates for this using other methods, turning the showy scene from a contradiction to a juxtaposition that emphasises the monstrosity of not only the monster, but Victor s actions in creating it: First, the monster lunges from a great copper sarcophagus filled with water to make it a kind of womb. After he lands sprawling in the spill tank under it, Victor lifts him up, vainly tries to show him how to walk, then ties him standing to a set of chains. But when the struggling creature is struck by a falling piece of wood and shortly goes limp, Victor concludes that he himself has killed this luckless heir to massive birth defects. and that this evil must be destroyed...forever. footcite{James Heffernan, Looking at the Monster: Frankenstein and Film pp.143} This departure from the novel highlights Victor as a more paternal figure than the text implies, making a point of the undercurrent of dread the scene should evoke, yet contrivedly conveying Victor s repulsion at the creature in this scene, Victor is less repulsed by the creature, as Shelley s text strongly emphasises, but more toward his own actions. It is only when Victor wakes up to the sight of the lumbering creature in the next scene does he cry out No! . This decision creates a confusing tone where it could initially be misconstrued by the audience that Branagh s Victor is merely startled by the presence of a monster he had presumed dead, muddling up the message of Victor s regret and of the repercussions of rebirth that Shelley intends on ...
