A Wireless Sensor Network ( Wsn )
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION
A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a network consisting of spatially distributed autonomous sensors
to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure,
humidity, motion or pollutants and to cooperatively pass their data through the network to a main
location. The WSN is built of nodes from a few to several hundreds or even thousands, where each
node is connected to one (or sometimes several) sensors. Each such sensor network node has typically
several parts: a radio transceiver with an internal antenna or connection to an external antenna, a
microcontroller, an electronic circuit for interfacing with the sensors and an energy source, usually a
battery or an embedded form of energy harvesting [23].
Fig. 1.1 : Multi hop wireless sensor network
1.1 Event Driven Mechanism for WSN
In event driven wireless sensor network, instead of sending periodic observation when an event of
interest occurs, the sensing node also sends the messages additionally for reporting an event. In this
context, it can be explicitly specified that not all the sensing nodes need to report an event.
Theoretically, sending messages by all the nodes whenever an event occurs will result in integrity of
data, but in real time scenario, it becomes tricky as it results in redundancy and overload of
information, that in turn results in depletion of energy and thus, the lifetime of the sensor node gets
reduced. In wireless sensor

Ontology is the Specifcation of Conceptualization
Definition of ontology According to Tom Gruber, an AI specialist at Stanford University, ontology is
the specification of conceptualization, used to help programs and human share knowledge. Ontology
also is a description about the concepts and relationships that can exist for an agent or community of
agent. A description in this case means it s like a formal specification of the program. Ontology also is

technology aspect is the electronic commerce or the activity of planning. Ontology is the set of
concept that are specified in some way in order to create an agreed in this usage. In some cases, the
ontology can be described as a set of definition of formal vocabulary. Ontologies are also not limited
to conservative definition, that is, definition in the traditional logic sense that only introduce
terminology and do not add any knowledge about the world (Endeton, 1972). Definition of accident
An accident can be defined as the unplanned, uncontrolled event which has led to or could have led to

Shiloh Character Analysis
Be yourself, everyone else is already taken (Oscar Wilde). In the enchanting story of Quiet Bunny by
Lisa McCue, Quiet Bunny learns to find his voice through a series of trial and error. Finding one s
own special uniqueness is a step toward finding oneself. There are many different ways to achieve
personal enlightenment, including talking to trusted family and friends, not trying to mimic others, and
being proud of oneself. In Heather Henson s novel Dream of Night, Shiloh finds her own personality
with the help of a very special horse. Shiloh is a hardened foster child who meets an old and abused
racehorse. Her relationship with the racehorse changes her demeanor and lets the other side of her
speak up. While she is sassy and rude at the beginning of the book, by the end she is grinning back. A
little. Not too much, not yet... (Henson, 207). She has found her true voice, the person she is meant to
be by enlisting the help of a trusted friend. Other people can bring out the best in people and talk them
through difficult times. Shiloh is also one step closer to true personal enlightenment. ... Show more

Quiet Bunny, from McCue s short story Quiet Bunny, is exactly as the name entails a quiet bunny.
After hearing all the other animals in the forest sing in the night song , Quiet Bunny goes on a quest to

to the clearing, Quiet Bunny jumps on a log and soon enough he is marching to the beat of his own
drum. A wise old owl once told Quiet Bunny You are a Quiet Bunny. Be whoooo you are and you will

Thales Of Miletus And The Elastic School Of Philosophy
From Thales of Miletus, the first ancient Greek philosopher, to Socrates and Aristotle, ancient Greek
philosophy has set the standard for modern intellectual and rational thought. They developed new
ways of reasoning and logic to explain the natural phenomena that surround them. Reality, existence,
and the essence of things were the basis of what these philosophers sought to rationalize. In this paper,
I will be discussing the epistemology and ontology presented by The Eleatics, the Pluralists, and The
Atomists. These three Pre Socratic schools often opposed one another s epistemological and
ontological views. However, each critic resulted in even more theories and laws that we still use to
this day. Their works also improved the standard for argument which became of great use to the future
Classical and modern philosophers.
The Eleatics
The Elastic School of Philosophy, established by Parmenides in the fifth century, was best known for
the development of early philosophers including Zeno of Elea and Xenophanes of Colophon. The
Elastics works often pointed to their use of logic and reason rather than sense experience to find the
ultimate truths . These ultimate truths were concerned with the Being and Becoming of things rather
than the origin of the things themselves. In this section, we are going to focus primarily on the school
s prominent advocates: Parmenides, writer of On Nature, and Zeno, founder of the dialectic method.
Together, Parmenides and Zeno laid the

Philosophy and Public Affairs in 1972. Peter Singer is an Australian utilitarian philosopher, and in
Famine, Affluence, and Morality he argues that more fortunate people should be required to help those
in need or at least give significantly more than what is currently being given. The essay focuses on the
Great Bengal Famine that occurred in 1971, Singer mentions how reluctant the western world was to
aid those in need and he blames it on the fact that it was a crisis that was happening far away from the
western world. One of Singer s main points is, If it is in our power to prevent something very bad

Why Was J. Edgar Hoover Played A Role In The Assassination...
It seems that J. Edgar Hoover had an obsession with stopping Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and the
Sothern Christian Leadership Conference, but why? How was the Federal Bureau of Investigations
linked to King and his Christian Conference? In the investigation of the assignation of King, many
suspicious activities from the FBI were uncovered. I will argue that King was wrongfully watched by
the FBI, J. Edgar had a personal vendetta against him, and ultimately, he played a role in the
assassination of King.
First, why was King under surveillance by J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI? The Federal Bureau claims
that Dr. Martin Luther King was initially monitored under its Racial Matters Program, which focused
on individuals and organizations involved in racial politics (FBI). Also, the FBI stated that the agency
had raised concerns as early as March 1956, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Edgar Hoover played a role in the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is fact that the FBI
and Hoover were running surveillance on King the day of the assassination and years prior to it. So,
how did the team not realize that an assassin was housed one building over from the Lorraine Motel?
Even more, how did this assassin, James Earl Ray, escape the murder scene and stay on the run for the
next two months? It all seems unreal to me. How incompetent is the Federal Bureau of Investigations?
It would be all too easy to believe but it is possible that a more sinister plot was formed. I think a
reasonable theory for why James Earl Ray was able to shoot King and escape from the law for two
months is because they let him. I believe that the FBI had evidence that King was being watched and
that an assassination attempt would be made that day. Hoover did not legally report this information
but instead drew away all law enforcement officers from the area. These irresponsible actions allowed
Ray a perfect time slot to assassinate King and benefit Hoover by eliminating one of his biggest

Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo Gamecube, and Playstation Two...
Which system is better, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, or Sony PlayStation 2? Which system
is the better buy? These are just some of the questions people ask themselves when it comes to
purchasing one of these systems. In my opinion, I believe that the best buy is the PlayStation 2.
The PS2 offers a reasonably powerful processor, about 297MHz (Megahertz). It may seem a little bit
on the sluggish side compared to the processor of Xbox, about 733MHz, and to the GameCube
processor, about 485MHz. If you ask me, I think that 733MHz is a little much for a gaming console, it
s just plain ridiculous. The PS2 has enough power to run high quality games. And with the planned

Sony has a 10 or 15GB hard drive planned to come out during June of 2002.
Both PlayStation 2 and Xbox have the capability to play DVD s, but with Xbox, there s a catch. You
need to purchase a $30 DVD Playback Kit. With PS2, you can watch DVD s right after you hook it
up, without any extra purchases. GameCube cannot play DVD s, and probably never will, although
Nintendo is developing a DVD playing GameCube, it will probably be well over what it is priced now.
The PS2 can play DVD s, audio CD s, PlayStation 2 discs, and PlayStation discs. The Xbox supports
audio CD s, DVD s (with kit), and Xbox discs. The GameCube only supports the 1.5GB GameCube
disc.
The controller for the PlayStation 2 has been the same since Sony came out with the Dual Shock
controller for PlayStation, so the controllers from Sony are universal with both the PlayStation and the
PlayStation 2. The PS2 controller is just the right size for any age. The Xbox controller is huge
compared to the GameCube and PS2 controllers. The hands of a 6 year old could not be able to press
all of the buttons. The GameCube controller is about the same size as a PS2 controller except it has
less buttons.
The PS2 has games made for people in any age group. I believe that the GameCube is mainly directed
toward the younger kids because most all of the games made so far are either rated

The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair Essay
The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair, became an instant classic in 1906, and has become possibly one of the
most referenced books in history and political science classrooms all over the United States, according
to Dustin LaBarge (LaBarge para.1). Sinclair s novel has generated worldwide awareness of the
repulsive meat packing industry. I found the book intriguing, because of the detail that was added in to
make sure nothing was left out. There were moments of the story that were too detailed in my opinion
causing me to lose interest, but overall I found to have learned something I would probably have not
known about. The story is based on the lives of two newly married Lithuanians, Jurgis and Ona. The
story begins with their wedding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He illustrates the lack of job security, women s rights, and fair treatment in general. The family
believes they are being blessed with the jobs they have encountered and have been given. What they
don t know is the risks that come along with the jobs. Everything in Packingtown comes with a price.
The children of the family also try to help out and make ends meet, but then Jurgis gets a rolled ankle
and must take days off of work. He comes to find that his place has been taken and thus has difficulty
finding more work. Ona has also begun to help out, but eventually comes in contact with a man who
rapes her daily after work. Jurgis goes mad and is sent to jail following a fight between Jurgis and that
man.
The last few chapters of the novel reveal Sinclair s political opinions. Jurgis attends a number of
rallies and finds himself in the middle of the workers rights reform. He has a change of heart and we
find him trying to undo some of the things he has been a part of. In the closing scene of The Jungle,
Sinclair describes the hope of a bright new future that the Socialist Party will bring to the workers and
the nation. Here Sinclair s main purpose for writing the book is revealed. He does want to make an
impact about the packing industry. He certainly feels strongly about how our food is being processed.
But the main thing he is writing about is the right of the workers. According to Eric Schlosser at The
Chicago Tribune, Sinclair believed

Ways to Improve the Malaysian Electoral System
There are numerous ways to improve the Malaysian electoral system both in fairness and efficiency.
Currently, there is a lack in confidence in the validity or neutrality of the Electoral Commissions (EC).
Members of the EC are elected by the Yang di Pertuan Agong (YDPA) after discussing with the
Conference of Rulers (Legal Research Board, 2013). However, according to Article 40 the YDPA can
only act after receiving advice from the Cabinet or a Minister representing the Cabinet (Legal
Research Board, 2013); in most cases it would mean the Prime Minister. Hence, it may seem that the
politically neutral EC were to be pro government. A solution to this problem would be to amend the
Constitution so that the House of Representatives can debate on the nomination of the EC members,
then their decision would be passed on to the YDPA. By doing so, the EC would comprise of members
that have the approval of both the government and opposition, thus making the committee fairer. Aside
from that, the EC should manage its own budget, and should be reviewed by the Auditor General and
not be dissected by the Parliament.
Besides that, there were complaints about the use of indelible ink in the 13th general Election.
Oppositions and clean polls activists reported that the ink could be easily washed off (Election ink
under scrutiny in Malaysia, 2013). To avoid the issue of phantom voters and to reduce human error
when checking the voter s information during the election a new modern polling

The Crucible Comparison
In the novel The Crucible written by Arthur Miller the story is based on the Salem Witch Trials which
took place in 1692. Many people can relate to it because this is based off true life events that took
place. The Salem Witch Trials and The Red Scare both contained a lot of drama. Miller s story of the
Salem Witch Trials closely parallels to The Red Scare communist witch hunt of the 1960s. Many
people were killed and taken away from their families in the 1950s. In the Crucible people were
accused of being witches and that is significant because in the Red Scare people were often accused of
being communist. It is known that Arthur miller wrote this story as a reaction to a tragic time in our

The Protestant Reformation Of The Western Church During...
The Protestant Reformation was the religious revolution that took place in the Western church during
the 16th century and was initially aimed at reforming the beliefs and practices of the Roman Catholic
Church. Western Christianity was developed in the areas of the former
Western Roman Empire and consisted of the Latin Church of the Roman Catholic Church, the
Waldensians, and Hussites, along with a wide variety of Protestant denominations, that include
Anglicanism, Anabaptism, Calvinism, and Lutheranism. This movement is said to have been sparked
by Martin Luther in 1517 and resulted in the split of Western Christianity.
During the Reformation, Martin Luther was a German professor of theology, composer, priest, monk
who was a very significant and influential figure. Luther s teachings state that redemption and eternal
life after death are not earned by the good deeds performed throughout your life. Instead, salvation is
only received as a gift of God s grace through how strong one s faith is in Jesus Christ as redeemer
from sin. This theology he believed in challenged the authority of the church and Pope by teaching
that the Bible is the only source of knowledge from
God. Luther also openly opposed sacerdotalism by considering all baptized Christians to be a holy
priesthood. Sacerdotalism is the belief that propitiatory sacrifices for sin require the

Priesthood, are the only

Olaudah Equiano In 1745, Olaudah Equiano was born in a small village in Isseke,Nigeria. His father
was one of the chiefs in the village. At age eleven Equiano and his sister were kidnapped by two men
and a woman never to see his home or parents again. After being kidnapped he was hiked across part
of Africa untill he arrived at the coast where he was loaded onto a slave ship. While crossing the
Atlantic to Barbados onboard the slave ship he and his countrymen were subject to horrors you could
hardly imagine. Equiano tells about the horrors and torture slaves face not only on the slave ship but
also on plantations and many other aspects of a slave s life. Equiano experienced almost all parts of a
slave s existence. He was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the many people in such a small place and the humidity, the temperature below decks was
unbearable. There was no fresh air, nothing but the nasty stench of the latrines and peoples body
odor. The air became unfit to breathe and almost suffocated them. There were children that would fall
into the latrines and almost drowned. Many slaves would get sick and die in this terrible place and
never make it to Barbados. Shrieks of women and the groans of the dying made the whole scene a
nightmare. This caused some slaves to jump off the ship and drown themselves. The first time he was
flogged was on the ship when he refused to eat. Two white men tied his feet. One white man held his
hands while the other flogged or whipped him. Prisoners were severely cut and flogged for hours for
trying to jump off the ship. He had never seen such savage brutal cruelty among people. When the
ship reached Barbados the slaves were put into a pin like animals. At the sound of a drum, buyers
rushed out to pick out the slaves they wanted to buy. Then no matter if they were friends, husbands,
wives, brothers, or sisters they were separated and never to see each other again. Equiano was sold
and worked on a plantation in Virginia County, weeding grass and moving stones. On this plantation
he saw the black slave cook with some kind of iron muzzle that locked her mouth shut so she could
hardly speak. I guess this contraption was put on her

The Importance Of Micrornas
The microRNAs (miRNAs) are single stranded small, endogenous, non coding regulatory RNA with
size varying ~21 to 24 nucleotides. microRNA mediated gene regulation play an important role in the
negative regulation of gene at post transcriptional level by targeting the mRNAs of protein coding
genes by cleavage or repressing protein translation in eukaryotes and viruses (Bartel, 2004).
microRNAs are expressed from their own genes located in the intergenic or intragenic region on the
chromosomes (Lagos Quintana et al., 2001). In plants, most miRNA genes are intergenic and
transcribed individually from their own region, but a few genes are organized into polycistronic
transcription units and co transcribed from single promoter at the end of a ... Show more content on

The functional genomics studies have shown the involvement of plant miRNAs in many
developmental processes of plant (Jones et al., 2006), response to biotic and biotic stresses, hormone
signalling (Frazier et al., 2011, Jagadeeswaran et al., 2009), signal transduction, protein degradation
(Zhou et al., 2010; Zhang et al., 2008), transgene suppression (Allen et al., 2005), disease
development (Johnson et al., 2005), defense against viruses (Bennasser et al., 2004), molecular
mechanisms regulating developmental transitions, such as seed germination, vegetative and
reproductive phase changes, flowering initiation, seed production and root development (Yang et al.,
2011) and nutrient deprivation and heavy metals (Chen et al., 2012).
Many miRNAs have been identified and investigated extensively in plant species with sequenced
genomes and comparative genome analysis from expressed sequence tag (EST), genome survey
sequences (GSS) and nucleotide sequences. miRNAs are evolutionarily conserved in the plant
kingdom from mosses and ferns to angiosperms (Zhang et al., 2006b). Using this attribute,
identification and prediction of miRNA by sequence analysis has advantage over other methods. It has
been suggested that miRNAs predicted by EST analysis can be recovered by high throughput deep
sequencing (Kwak et ai., 2009).

Naturalism in The Open Boat

The Open Boat
The Open Boat is a short story written by Steven Crane about four men stranded on a dinghy after
their boat had sunk over night. The men were struggling to stay alive because it seemed as if they had
no hope for survival. The four stranded shipmen were a correspondent, an oiler, a cook, and a captain.
The theme of the story is that man has no control over his destinies and that nature controls
everything. Naturalist themes prevail in Stephen Crane s The Open Boat as it demonstrates naturalist
literature through the struggle that nature throws at the men. Naturalism arises throughout the men s
constant battle between their surrounding environment and keeping ... Show more content on

The men came to the conclusion that fate must be the reason that they are experiencing this deathly
situation. It is the understanding of this fact that brings the men to the edge of their misery. At this
point the men feel like their lives are coming to an end, so much so that they even ask the captain if
they have a chance at survival, to which the captain replies If this wind holds and the boat don t
swamp, we can t do much else. This quote shows the uselessness that the men feel, but it also makes
apparent there is still a possibility of hope.
Steven Crane really emphasizes the uselessness and the hopelessness they feel against the universe, If
I am going to be drowned if I am going to be drowned if I am going to be drowned, why, in the name
of the seven mad gods who rule the sea, was I allowed to come thus far and contemplate sand and
trees? Was I brought here merely to have my nose dragged away as I was about to nibble the sacred
cheese of life? It is preposterous. At this point the men actually made sight to land yet are too far to
even make the effort to swim. How could the universe be so unfair that it would let them have a small
taste or nibble of the sacred cheese of life at surviving? They had been through a drastic environment
to get to where they are. If the universe cared about them at all, it would find a way for the men to
make it to land, although when it comes

Rhetorical Devices In The Cask Of Amontillado
For one to convey the explicit and implicit main ideas in one s story, one must employ a multitude of
rhetorical strategies. In Poe s The cask of Amontillado , a horror story in which a man sets out to kill
his friend during a festival, his use of rhetoric allowed him to strike a sense of fear and anticipation
into the audience. However, the main purpose of the rhetoric Poe used is in order to convey the
explicit main idea of revenge and the implicit main idea of the price for foolishness. The explicit main
idea of revenge in The Cask of Amontillado is conveyed to the reader through sundry rhetorical
strategies. For example Montresor, the malefactor of his friend s murder, states that, THE thousand
injuries of Fortunato I had borne as I best could, but when he ventured upon insult I vowed revenge.
From this, it is clearly seen the main idea is revenge. Furthermore, he tells the reader that in order for
his revenge to be satisfactory he must, not only punish but punish with impunity. (Poe 1) In other
words, he must seek revenge in such a manner that Fortunato will not know about him attempting to
gain his vengeance until the last moment.
On the other hand, the implicit main ideas of foolishness and violence are stated much more discreetly
than the explicit main idea. In How to Read Literature Like a Professor, Foster provides an
explanation for why Poe chose to have Montresor kill Fortunato by stating writers kill off characters
for the same set of reasons make

Development of Musical Instruments
Throughout history, music has been influenced by the different events that transpire across the world.
As civilizations rise and fall, cultures combine and change; and with that, new music and musical
instruments are brought into existence. From each corner of the world and from all time periods,
music has grown. The places that music has dramatically developed the most are in China, Europe,
and America. Musical instruments in these locations have gone through a musical revolution and have
eventually become what we know so well today. China One of the earliest locations that musical
instruments were created and developed was China. Many of the instruments during this period (500
1100 A.D.) that were being made were classified as zithers of idiophones. Zithers are very similar to
guitars since both share the quality of having strings, but do not have a neck. Idiophones are
instruments where the body itself vibrates to create the sound much like modern day percussion
instruments. These types of instruments were brought into being by the beliefs and teachings of people
like Confucius, Mencius, and Laozi. These men believed that music was an essential part of character
and community and helped the creation of new instruments (1). Many different styles of instruments
came out of this time period. Instruments such as the Guqin, Xiao flute, Sanxian, and Pipa were all
created and modified with the rise of a style of music Nanguan. Nanguan was a style of Chinese

The Article On The Right Of Die Still Seems More Theory...
The article of THE RIGHT TO DIE STILL SEEMS MORE THEORY THAN PRACTICE takes a pro
side of the right to die. Due to the problems of protecting the patient from abuse (from ones who
might want the patient dead or prolonging life for ulterior motives), and the decisions and views of
ethics are being made from a professional who may or may not know the patient or their family. These
decisions such as quality of life are being defined and made by society. It seems as though that the
theory is the battle over the patients rights, and the practice is the battle to enforce them. This battle is
catapulted from the fear of liability (civil and criminal), from the institutes and the doctors. These
situations usually leave the patient powerless.
HOW HAS THE TECHNOLOGY AND CAPABILITIES OF MEDICINE AFFECTED THE
DEBATE?
Since the advancement of technology and capability of medicine, the debate has risen to a level of
which it can t be ignored. The fact of prolonging someone s life has to be a factor since it is a
possibility of prolonging it comfortably. Before there were advancement of technology and capability
of medicine most American died at home, with their love ones around and family doctors which would

Characteristics Of Deep-Sea Creature Adaptions
Deep Sea Creature Adaptions Deep Sea creatures in the Bathypelagic Zone and lower must adapt to
survive. Adapting to this harsh environment didn t take only a few years, this process has occured over
millions of years and will continue to occur. Some characteristics that the organisms adapted are
things like: the ambush strategy, extended spines, smaller sizes, deep sea giantism, bioluminescence,
transparant skins, large mouths, large teeth, large stomachs, large eyes, slow metabolic rates, lateral
lines, hermaphroditism, and chemosynthesis. Scientists are still searching in the deep sea because for
organisms still not discovered. All of these adaptions contribute to the survival of deep sea creatures in
the low pressure, temperature, and low food source environment.
Bathypelagic Zone Adaptions 1,000 4,000 (3,000 13,000 ft) meters deep in the ocean where there is a
total abscence of sunlight. The large, dark ocean lessens the chance of animals catching prey. This
zone has the greatest temperature changes compared to the other zones, it contains thermocline, which
causes water temperatures to change dramatically with depth. In this wide ocean, all organisms do not
have the energy to endlessly search for food, forcing many organisms to adapt to a strategy called The
Ambush Strategy , which is when they sit and wait for prey to get closer and they attack them when
the food when they re close enough, they have also adapted to having a long dorsal spine that floats
above its head with a photophore which acts as a fishing pole to bait other animals. An example of this
sort of fish is called the Deep Sea Angler. Animals in this zone also adapted to be smaller in size
because they are entirely made of water with no air space due to high pressures. If they had air space
inside of them, the open space in their body would crush them completely. The pressure of the
Bathypelagic Zone is 800 times greater than the surfaces pressure. This is the cause of their less
developed internal organs, small eyes, thinner skin, smaller sizes compared the animals in the
Mesopelagic and Epipelagic Zone, which are located above the Bathypelagic Zone. If humans were to
go down to these depths we d be crushed, this is caused by all

What Is Eliza Au s Abstract Art
Eliza Au creates abstract works of art which are contrary to what is usually perceived as abstract art.
Her work is organized and symmetrical, while most abstract seems like a mess. Ceramics is her
material of choice as she did obtain a degree from New York State College of Ceramic at Alfred
university. Recently her work has been displayed at the Old Main art gallery at Northern Arizona
University in Flagstaff, Arizona. There, about twenty or so pieces are displayed on the walls and
ground. Each piece is a different size, the smallest piece is about the size of a bowl while the largest
spans the size of a whole wall. Overall the colors are muted and there are many circular shapes, swirls,
and curving lines. While many of the pieces were created years apart, they all share a strong
resemblance. One work that stuck out to me was the first one I saw when I walked in. It spanned the
entire length of the wall and was brightly lit. It is called Trioroum and is made entirely out of
stoneware clay. What got my attention wasn t the size, but the color and shapes. It is an earthy light
blue color like the sky and a smooth appearance like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

personality. But with Eliza Au s work, I couldn t get a sense of her personality or individuality.
Although the art gallery wasn t a big room it still seemed empty. I expected there to be more art but
that may be because it is a free exhibit or because each piece takes a long time to make. All the works
had repetition, therefore if you saw a part of a work, you basically saw the whole thing. Overall Eliza
Au s work is calculated, organized, and well

Communism And The Communist Manifesto
In this paper, I propose that the Communist Manifesto has only a weak correlation to current world. To
prove this, I will explore four key factors. First, I will summarize Communism and the foundation of
the Communist Manifesto using the designated class study materials. I believe that it is essential for
the reader to have a baseline upon which I will then explain my position. I will also explore how
Religion relates to the concept of universal justice in society and how it plays into the communist
manifesto. I will then analyze the impacts that technological evolution has had in society and show
that it does not always benefit mankind. Finally, I will conclude with a summary of the strengths and
weaknesses of the manifesto as it relates it to the present world.
Communism was a political view point that was invented by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Marx
and Engels meet in 1844 and just 4 years later in 1848 they wrote and published, The communist
Manifesto . The goal was to detail the historical development that would lead to a post capitalist
society. They wanted capitalism to die because they believed social classes would lead to world
disaster. All that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned and man is at last compelled to face
with sober senses his real conditions of life and his relation ions with his kind (pg10 manifesto). Then
the manifesto details the foundation of a revolutionary struggle where the Proletariat (the workers) to

Educational Education And Special Education
According to the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities, 89% of children with moderate
learning difficulties, 24% of children with severe learning difficulties and 18% of children with
profound multiple learning difficulties are educated in mainstream schools. Something so prevalent
must surely be effective. However, that is not always the case. It s disheartening watching these
mainstreamed students struggle socially and academically. Either looked over or coddled by general
education teachers; teachers without the proper training, no less, expected to properly instruct these
students with intellectual disabilities. Kids that are always expected too much of or doubted
indefinitely. These are the children that don t belong in a general education classroom. While
mainstreaming, the act of blending general education and special education classes, can possess
benefits for both general education and special education pupils, it should not be implemented in
school systems as it creates a more disruptive environment that campaigns for inhibited learning. But
that s only the inauguration of the series of issues present here. The concept of mainstreaming is based
on the fact that a student with disabilities may benefit both socially and academically from being
assigned to a general education classroom rather than a special education classroom (Perles). A
mainstreamed student may have slight adjustments in how they are assessed, but they learn mostly the
same material and

OBTAINING and RECORDING PHYSICAL EVIDENCE
When it comes to identifying people that have committed a criminal act, the most positive means is
through fingerprints. When we are born, our fingerprints stay with us until we die and our bodies start
decomposing. To the human eye our fingerprints look the same, however, further investigation will
show that each of us have a unique set of friction ridges that comprise our fingerprints and sets our
identity apart from each other. At a crime scene, there are two different types of fingerprints that may
be found. Patent prints are visible to the human eye. Latent prints are unintentional prints found on

When the bi chromatic powder is used on dark surfaces it will look light and it will show up dark on
light surfaces. The best rule for processing latent prints using powder is to use less lifting powder than
you think you are going to need. Many latent prints can be ruined by over processing with powder.
David suggests give the print powder jar a quick shake before opening the lid then goes on to say
remove the lid and place the fingerprint brush inside the lid (Spraggs, 2007). The lid will retain
enough powder to start processing the latent print. A precise amount of pressure applied while
spinning the brush will produce a good print with good ridge detail. He mentions that too much
powder will fill the ridges and over process the print and too little will not produce enough, keeping in
mind that too much contact between the brush and the print will damage the print. Once the print has
been developed it is time to begin lifting the print. Lifting tape comes in a variety of widths and
compositions. General lifting tape is used on flat surfaces and polyethylene tape is great for curved
surfaces like door knobs. An important key in applying the tape is to keep it evenly and as smooth as
possible. David suggests using a credit card to

Bmw s Impact On The Manufacturing Of Cars
BMW begins its long history, which stretches for almost a hundred years, in Germany. BMW had a
major impact on the manufacturing of cars. Rapp needed a financial backer to do this and in 1916 he
renamed the Bayerische Motoren Werke (Bavarian Motor Works). After a financial problem with the
company Rapp left. When Rapp left the company Franz Josef Popp took over. He set up BMW as we
know it today( BMW Early History ).
In 1913 a German engineer Karl Friedrich Rapp who had been the early director of a successful
aircraft company, started his own business to make aircraft engines. He named the Rapp
Motorenwerke and set up shop in Munich Germany. He did this because the biggest buyer of his
engines was nearby. The company did very well and was contracted to build a large sum of V12
airplane engines to fill a very high demand. BMW made many aircraft engines during WWI. After the
war was lost the Versailles Treaty prohibited German companies from producing aircraft and aircraft
engines. BMW had to find a new way to stay in business and get income. Again and again BMW had
discussed getting into the car business but it was never really necessary until now( History of BMW
). At this time in history German s economy was very bad and inflation was very high. BMW started
to make low cost cars in early 1925. They were a success and BMW made a full swing into the
automobile business.
In 1930 BMW began work on a new four cylinder engine. The engine was advanced for its time but it

Tulane University Application Essay
When I began my college search in the summer before senior year, Tulane University was at the top of
my list. Many of the schools I researched focused on only one strong suit, such as their academic
curriculum or campus diversity. Tulane, however, possessed an extensive variety of characteristics that
I found to be crucial for a successful college experience. A combination of superior academic
facilities, highly qualified instructors, and a vibrant culture makes Tulane University a prime location
for my undergraduate studies.
To begin with, Tulane University has a renowned educational program incomparable to many other
universities. By offering a diverse variety of courses instructed by highly qualified professors, Tulane
creates a challenging ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When I think of New Orleans, I am overcome with emotion, as there are no words that can truly
capture the feeling I associate with the city. Growing up, my family drove to Louisiana at least twice a
year to visit my father s college hometown of Lake Charles, and every time, regardless of how hectic
our schedules were, my sister and I would convince our parents to drive the extra couple of hours to
what we considered the epitome of all things wonderful New Orleans. During these visits, I sought to
immerse myself in the vibrant and completely unique culture of the city. From walking through the
French Quarter to shoveling jambalaya into my mouth, New Orleans provided me with an escape from
the mundane small town life that I was accustomed to.
Plenty of jambalaya bowls later, I realized that the opportunity for me to attend one of the most
prestigious universities in the nation while living in a richly cultured city rested solely in my hands.
From high school courses to extracurricular activities to community service projects, I have always
strived to reach higher goals, including gaining acceptance into a reputable college. With its superior
academic standing, access to highly qualified instructors, and vibrant culture, Tulane University
creates a community that any student would be proud to call their

  • 2. A Wireless Sensor Network ( Wsn ) CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a network consisting of spatially distributed autonomous sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure, humidity, motion or pollutants and to cooperatively pass their data through the network to a main location. The WSN is built of nodes from a few to several hundreds or even thousands, where each node is connected to one (or sometimes several) sensors. Each such sensor network node has typically several parts: a radio transceiver with an internal antenna or connection to an external antenna, a microcontroller, an electronic circuit for interfacing with the sensors and an energy source, usually a battery or an embedded form of energy harvesting [23]. Fig. 1.1 : Multi hop wireless sensor network 1.1 Event Driven Mechanism for WSN In event driven wireless sensor network, instead of sending periodic observation when an event of interest occurs, the sensing node also sends the messages additionally for reporting an event. In this context, it can be explicitly specified that not all the sensing nodes need to report an event. Theoretically, sending messages by all the nodes whenever an event occurs will result in integrity of data, but in real time scenario, it becomes tricky as it results in redundancy and overload of information, that in turn results in depletion of energy and thus, the lifetime of the sensor node gets reduced. • 8. Thales Of Miletus And The Elastic School Of Philosophy From Thales of Miletus, the first ancient Greek philosopher, to Socrates and Aristotle, ancient Greek philosophy has set the standard for modern intellectual and rational thought. They developed new ways of reasoning and logic to explain the natural phenomena that surround them. Reality, existence, and the essence of things were the basis of what these philosophers sought to rationalize. In this paper, I will be discussing the epistemology and ontology presented by The Eleatics, the Pluralists, and The Atomists. These three Pre Socratic schools often opposed one another s epistemological and ontological views. However, each critic resulted in even more theories and laws that we still use to this day. Their works also improved the standard for argument which became of great use to the future Classical and modern philosophers. The Eleatics The Elastic School of Philosophy, established by Parmenides in the fifth century, was best known for the development of early philosophers including Zeno of Elea and Xenophanes of Colophon. The Elastics works often pointed to their use of logic and reason rather than sense experience to find the ultimate truths . These ultimate truths were concerned with the Being and Becoming of things rather than the origin of the things themselves. In this section, we are going to focus primarily on the school s prominent advocates: Parmenides, writer of On Nature, and Zeno, founder of the dialectic method. • 11. Why Was J. Edgar Hoover Played A Role In The Assassination... It seems that J. Edgar Hoover had an obsession with stopping Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and the Sothern Christian Leadership Conference, but why? How was the Federal Bureau of Investigations linked to King and his Christian Conference? In the investigation of the assignation of King, many suspicious activities from the FBI were uncovered. I will argue that King was wrongfully watched by the FBI, J. Edgar had a personal vendetta against him, and ultimately, he played a role in the assassination of King. First, why was King under surveillance by J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI? The Federal Bureau claims that Dr. Martin Luther King was initially monitored under its Racial Matters Program, which focused on individuals and organizations involved in racial politics (FBI). Also, the FBI stated that the agency had raised concerns as early as March 1956, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Edgar Hoover played a role in the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is fact that the FBI and Hoover were running surveillance on King the day of the assassination and years prior to it. So, how did the team not realize that an assassin was housed one building over from the Lorraine Motel? Even more, how did this assassin, James Earl Ray, escape the murder scene and stay on the run for the next two months? It all seems unreal to me. How incompetent is the Federal Bureau of Investigations? It would be all too easy to believe but it is possible that a more sinister plot was formed. I think a reasonable theory for why James Earl Ray was able to shoot King and escape from the law for two months is because they let him. I believe that the FBI had evidence that King was being watched and that an assassination attempt would be made that day. Hoover did not legally report this information but instead drew away all law enforcement officers from the area. These irresponsible actions allowed Ray a perfect time slot to assassinate King and benefit Hoover by eliminating one of his biggest ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo Gamecube, and Playstation Two... Which system is better, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, or Sony PlayStation 2? Which system is the better buy? These are just some of the questions people ask themselves when it comes to purchasing one of these systems. In my opinion, I believe that the best buy is the PlayStation 2. The PS2 offers a reasonably powerful processor, about 297MHz (Megahertz). It may seem a little bit on the sluggish side compared to the processor of Xbox, about 733MHz, and to the GameCube processor, about 485MHz. If you ask me, I think that 733MHz is a little much for a gaming console, it s just plain ridiculous. The PS2 has enough power to run high quality games. Both PlayStation 2 and Xbox have the capability to play DVD s, but with Xbox, there s a catch. You need to purchase a $30 DVD Playback Kit. With PS2, you can watch DVD s right after you hook it up, without any extra purchases. GameCube cannot play DVD s, and probably never will, although Nintendo is developing a DVD playing GameCube, it will probably be well over what it is priced now. The PS2 can play DVD s, audio CD s, PlayStation 2 discs, and PlayStation discs. The Xbox supports audio CD s, DVD s (with kit), and Xbox discs. The GameCube only supports the 1.5GB GameCube disc. The controller for the PlayStation 2 has been the same since Sony came out with the Dual Shock controller for PlayStation, so the controllers from Sony are universal with both the PlayStation and the PlayStation 2. The PS2 controller is just the right size for any age. The Xbox controller is huge compared to the GameCube and PS2 controllers. The hands of a 6 year old could not be able to press all of the buttons. The GameCube controller is about the same size as a PS2 controller except it has less buttons. The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair Essay The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair, became an instant classic in 1906, and has become possibly one of the most referenced books in history and political science classrooms all over the United States, according to Dustin LaBarge (LaBarge para.1). Sinclair s novel has generated worldwide awareness of the repulsive meat packing industry. I found the book intriguing, because of the detail that was added in to make sure nothing was left out. There were moments of the story that were too detailed in my opinion causing me to lose interest, but overall I found to have learned something I would probably have not known about. The story is based on the lives of two newly married Lithuanians, Jurgis and Ona. The story begins with their wedding ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He illustrates the lack of job security, women s rights, and fair treatment in general. The family believes they are being blessed with the jobs they have encountered and have been given. What they don t know is the risks that come along with the jobs. Everything in Packingtown comes with a price. The children of the family also try to help out and make ends meet, but then Jurgis gets a rolled ankle and must take days off of work. He comes to find that his place has been taken and thus has difficulty finding more work. Ona has also begun to help out, but eventually comes in contact with a man who rapes her daily after work. Jurgis goes mad and is sent to jail following a fight between Jurgis and that man. The last few chapters of the novel reveal Sinclair s political opinions. Jurgis attends a number of rallies and finds himself in the middle of the workers rights reform. He has a change of heart and we find him trying to undo some of the things he has been a part of. In the closing scene of The Jungle, Sinclair describes the hope of a bright new future that the Socialist Party will bring to the workers and the nation. Here Sinclair s main purpose for writing the book is revealed. He does want to make an impact about the packing industry. He certainly feels strongly about how our food is being processed. But the main thing he is writing about is the right of the workers. According to Eric Schlosser at The Chicago Tribune, Sinclair believed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Ways to Improve the Malaysian Electoral System There are numerous ways to improve the Malaysian electoral system both in fairness and efficiency. Currently, there is a lack in confidence in the validity or neutrality of the Electoral Commissions (EC). Members of the EC are elected by the Yang di Pertuan Agong (YDPA) after discussing with the Conference of Rulers (Legal Research Board, 2013). However, according to Article 40 the YDPA can only act after receiving advice from the Cabinet or a Minister representing the Cabinet (Legal Research Board, 2013); in most cases it would mean the Prime Minister. Hence, it may seem that the politically neutral EC were to be pro government. A solution to this problem would be to amend the Constitution so that the House of Representatives can debate on the nomination of the EC members, then their decision would be passed on to the YDPA. By doing so, the EC would comprise of members that have the approval of both the government and opposition, thus making the committee fairer. Aside from that, the EC should manage its own budget, and should be reviewed by the Auditor General and not be dissected by the Parliament. Besides that, there were complaints about the use of indelible ink in the 13th general Election. Oppositions and clean polls activists reported that the ink could be easily washed off (Election ink under scrutiny in Malaysia, 2013). • 20. The Protestant Reformation Of The Western Church During... The Protestant Reformation was the religious revolution that took place in the Western church during the 16th century and was initially aimed at reforming the beliefs and practices of the Roman Catholic Church. Western Christianity was developed in the areas of the former Western Roman Empire and consisted of the Latin Church of the Roman Catholic Church, the Waldensians, and Hussites, along with a wide variety of Protestant denominations, that include Anglicanism, Anabaptism, Calvinism, and Lutheranism. This movement is said to have been sparked by Martin Luther in 1517 and resulted in the split of Western Christianity. During the Reformation, Martin Luther was a German professor of theology, composer, priest, monk who was a very significant and influential figure. Luther s teachings state that redemption and eternal life after death are not earned by the good deeds performed throughout your life. Instead, salvation is only received as a gift of God s grace through how strong one s faith is in Jesus Christ as redeemer from sin. This theology he believed in challenged the authority of the church and Pope by teaching that the Bible is the only source of knowledge from God. Luther also openly opposed sacerdotalism by considering all baptized Christians to be a holy priesthood. The Importance Of Micrornas The microRNAs (miRNAs) are single stranded small, endogenous, non coding regulatory RNA with size varying ~21 to 24 nucleotides. microRNA mediated gene regulation play an important role in the negative regulation of gene at post transcriptional level by targeting the mRNAs of protein coding genes by cleavage or repressing protein translation in eukaryotes and viruses (Bartel, 2004). microRNAs are expressed from their own genes located in the intergenic or intragenic region on the chromosomes (Lagos Quintana et al., 2001). The men were struggling to stay alive because it seemed as if they had no hope for survival. The four stranded shipmen were a correspondent, an oiler, a cook, and a captain. The theme of the story is that man has no control over his destinies and that nature controls everything. This quote shows the uselessness that the men feel, but it also makes apparent there is still a possibility of hope. Steven Crane really emphasizes the uselessness and the hopelessness they feel against the universe, If I am going to be drowned if I am going to be drowned if I am going to be drowned, why, in the name of the seven mad gods who rule the sea, was I allowed to come thus far and contemplate sand and trees? Was I brought here merely to have my nose dragged away as I was about to nibble the sacred cheese of life? It is preposterous. How could the universe be so unfair that it would let them have a small taste or nibble of the sacred cheese of life at surviving? • 29. Rhetorical Devices In The Cask Of Amontillado For one to convey the explicit and implicit main ideas in one s story, one must employ a multitude of rhetorical strategies. In Poe s The cask of Amontillado , a horror story in which a man sets out to kill his friend during a festival, his use of rhetoric allowed him to strike a sense of fear and anticipation into the audience. However, the main purpose of the rhetoric Poe used is in order to convey the explicit main idea of revenge and the implicit main idea of the price for foolishness. The explicit main idea of revenge in The Cask of Amontillado is conveyed to the reader through sundry rhetorical strategies. For example Montresor, the malefactor of his friend s murder, states that, THE thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne as I best could, but when he ventured upon insult I vowed revenge. From this, it is clearly seen the main idea is revenge. Furthermore, he tells the reader that in order for his revenge to be satisfactory he must, not only punish but punish with impunity. (Poe 1) In other words, he must seek revenge in such a manner that Fortunato will not know about him attempting to gain his vengeance until the last moment. On the other hand, the implicit main ideas of foolishness and violence are stated much more discreetly than the explicit main idea. In How to Read Literature Like a Professor, Foster provides an explanation for why Poe chose to have Montresor kill Fortunato by stating writers kill off characters for the same set of reasons make ... As civilizations rise and fall, cultures combine and change; and with that, new music and musical instruments are brought into existence. From each corner of the world and from all time periods, music has grown. The places that music has dramatically developed the most are in China, Europe, and America. Musical instruments in these locations have gone through a musical revolution and have eventually become what we know so well today. China One of the earliest locations that musical instruments were created and developed was China. Many of the instruments during this period (500 1100 A.D.) that were being made were classified as zithers of idiophones. Zithers are very similar to guitars since both share the quality of having strings, but do not have a neck. Idiophones are instruments where the body itself vibrates to create the sound much like modern day percussion instruments. These types of instruments were brought into being by the beliefs and teachings of people like Confucius, Mencius, and Laozi. These men believed that music was an essential part of character and community and helped the creation of new instruments (1). Many different styles of instruments came out of this time period. Adapting to this harsh environment didn t take only a few years, this process has occured over millions of years and will continue to occur. Some characteristics that the organisms adapted are things like: the ambush strategy, extended spines, smaller sizes, deep sea giantism, bioluminescence, transparant skins, large mouths, large teeth, large stomachs, large eyes, slow metabolic rates, lateral lines, hermaphroditism, and chemosynthesis. Scientists are still searching in the deep sea because for organisms still not discovered. All of these adaptions contribute to the survival of deep sea creatures in the low pressure, temperature, and low food source environment. Bathypelagic Zone Adaptions 1,000 4,000 (3,000 13,000 ft) meters deep in the ocean where there is a total abscence of sunlight. The large, dark ocean lessens the chance of animals catching prey. This zone has the greatest temperature changes compared to the other zones, it contains thermocline, which causes water temperatures to change dramatically with depth. In this wide ocean, all organisms do not have the energy to endlessly search for food, forcing many organisms to adapt to a strategy called The Ambush Strategy , which is when they sit and wait for prey to get closer and they attack them when the food when they re close enough, they have also adapted to having a long dorsal spine that floats above its head with a photophore which acts as a fishing pole to bait other animals. An example of this sort of fish is called the Deep Sea Angler. Animals in this zone also adapted to be smaller in size because they are entirely made of water with no air space due to high pressures. If they had air space inside of them, the open space in their body would crush them completely. The pressure of the Bathypelagic Zone is 800 times greater than the surfaces pressure. This is the cause of their less developed internal organs, small eyes, thinner skin, smaller sizes compared the animals in the Mesopelagic and Epipelagic Zone, which are located above the Bathypelagic Zone. Each piece is a different size, the smallest piece is about the size of a bowl while the largest spans the size of a whole wall. Overall the colors are muted and there are many circular shapes, swirls, and curving lines. While many of the pieces were created years apart, they all share a strong resemblance. One work that stuck out to me was the first one I saw when I walked in. It spanned the entire length of the wall and was brightly lit. It is called Trioroum and is made entirely out of stoneware clay. What got my attention wasn t the size, but the color and shapes. It is an earthy light blue color like the sky and a smooth appearance like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, it is amazing to see how clean and symmetrical all the pieces of work are. It is almost hard to believe that someone made these with their own hands and not manufactured. When looking at most artwork you can imagine the type of person wo created and maybe get a sense of their personality. But with Eliza Au s work, I couldn t get a sense of her personality or individuality. Although the art gallery wasn t a big room it still seemed empty. I expected there to be more art but that may be because it is a free exhibit or because each piece takes a long time to make. All the works had repetition, therefore if you saw a part of a work, you basically saw the whole thing. Overall Eliza Au s work is calculated, organized, and well ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Communism And The Communist Manifesto In this paper, I propose that the Communist Manifesto has only a weak correlation to current world. To prove this, I will explore four key factors. First, I will summarize Communism and the foundation of the Communist Manifesto using the designated class study materials. I believe that it is essential for the reader to have a baseline upon which I will then explain my position. I will also explore how Religion relates to the concept of universal justice in society and how it plays into the communist manifesto. I will then analyze the impacts that technological evolution has had in society and show that it does not always benefit mankind. Finally, I will conclude with a summary of the strengths and weaknesses of the manifesto as it relates it to the present world. Communism was a political view point that was invented by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Marx and Engels meet in 1844 and just 4 years later in 1848 they wrote and published, The communist Manifesto . The goal was to detail the historical development that would lead to a post capitalist society. They wanted capitalism to die because they believed social classes would lead to world disaster. All that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned and man is at last compelled to face with sober senses his real conditions of life and his relation ions with his kind (pg10 manifesto). Then the manifesto details the foundation of a revolutionary struggle where the Proletariat (the workers) to rise up against ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Educational Education And Special Education According to the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities, 89% of children with moderate learning difficulties, 24% of children with severe learning difficulties and 18% of children with profound multiple learning difficulties are educated in mainstream schools. Something so prevalent must surely be effective. However, that is not always the case. It s disheartening watching these mainstreamed students struggle socially and academically. Either looked over or coddled by general education teachers; teachers without the proper training, no less, expected to properly instruct these students with intellectual disabilities. Kids that are always expected too much of or doubted indefinitely. These are the children that don t belong in a general education classroom. While mainstreaming, the act of blending general education and special education classes, can possess benefits for both general education and special education pupils, it should not be implemented in school systems as it creates a more disruptive environment that campaigns for inhibited learning. But that s only the inauguration of the series of issues present here. The concept of mainstreaming is based on the fact that a student with disabilities may benefit both socially and academically from being assigned to a general education classroom rather than a special education classroom (Perles). A mainstreamed student may have slight adjustments in how they are assessed, but they learn mostly the same material and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Crime Scene Investigation Case Study | Crime Scene Investigation | Case Study #1 | | | 1/26/2013 | OBTAINING and RECORDING PHYSICAL EVIDENCE When it comes to identifying people that have committed a criminal act, the most positive means is through fingerprints. When we are born, our fingerprints stay with us until we die and our bodies start decomposing. To the human eye our fingerprints look the same, however, further investigation will show that each of us have a unique set of friction ridges that comprise our fingerprints and sets our identity apart from each other. At a crime scene, there are two different types of fingerprints that may be found. Patent prints are visible to the human eye. Latent prints are unintentional prints found on items of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the bi chromatic powder is used on dark surfaces it will look light and it will show up dark on light surfaces. The best rule for processing latent prints using powder is to use less lifting powder than you think you are going to need. Many latent prints can be ruined by over processing with powder. David suggests give the print powder jar a quick shake before opening the lid then goes on to say remove the lid and place the fingerprint brush inside the lid (Spraggs, 2007). The lid will retain enough powder to start processing the latent print. A precise amount of pressure applied while spinning the brush will produce a good print with good ridge detail. He mentions that too much powder will fill the ridges and over process the print and too little will not produce enough, keeping in mind that too much contact between the brush and the print will damage the print. Once the print has been developed it is time to begin lifting the print. Lifting tape comes in a variety of widths and compositions. General lifting tape is used on flat surfaces and polyethylene tape is great for curved surfaces like door knobs. An important key in applying the tape is to keep it evenly and as smooth as possible. • 37. Bmw s Impact On The Manufacturing Of Cars BMW begins its long history, which stretches for almost a hundred years, in Germany. BMW had a major impact on the manufacturing of cars. When Rapp left the company Franz Josef Popp took over. He set up BMW as we know it today( BMW Early History ). In 1913 a German engineer Karl Friedrich Rapp who had been the early director of a successful aircraft company, started his own business to make aircraft engines. He named the Rapp Motorenwerke and set up shop in Munich Germany. He did this because the biggest buyer of his engines was nearby. The company did very well and was contracted to build a large sum of V12 airplane engines to fill a very high demand. BMW made many aircraft engines during WWI. After the war was lost the Versailles Treaty prohibited German companies from producing aircraft and aircraft engines. BMW had to find a new way to stay in business and get income. Again and again BMW had discussed getting into the car business but it was never really necessary until now( History of BMW ). At this time in history German s economy was very bad and inflation was very high. BMW started to make low cost cars in early 1925. They were a success and BMW made a full swing into the automobile business. In 1930 BMW began work on a new four cylinder engine. The engine was advanced for its time but it ... Even now, he heard the sharp crack of the whip and felt the searing pain of the lashes against his bare skin. The nausea that crawled up his throat that day returned, burning his mouth.
