finally able to do all the things she has always thought to be impossible. I join the
homecoming club, audition for musicals and plays, serve as the president of the

ending the story she tells the reader how all of her activities have not made her feel
any less different then she did before. However, she comes to the realization that if
it had not been for all of those years of hard work on the farm, then she would not
be able to manage her time as well as she does to be able to participate in all those

The entire story I felt as if I was there on the farm with the young girl. I was drawn

Rumble in the Jungle itself, while the antagonist of the story is the breach of the
fight. Canonicity and breach, as explained by Bruner, is the breach of a canonical
script. This breach breaks the norms or standards of what is expected. A tale must
break the normal state to be worth telling and hold value in daily living. A breach
must differ from the norm, but the method of defying this norm is up to the teller.
The canonicity of the story is the fight itself. Canonicity would be the desired
outcome, without any changes or obstructions. The fight in its simplest form was
what Don King staged. He wanted to see the better fighter, former heavyweight
versus current heavyweight. This is the protagonist of the story. People wanted to
know who was the better fighter, and also wanted to see a good fight. King wanted
to promote professional boxing. At its simplest form, this is what the viewer or

I found this experience of keeping a dialectic journal extremely mind opening. I
had been keeping a journal for a few weeks before this assignment began. For those
who may not know a dialectic journal is when for a set number of days a person
free writes for a set amount of time, and then for an equal number or days responds

Liberation theology, a term first used in 1973 by Gustavo Gutierrez, a Peruvian
Roman Catholic priest, is a school of thought among Latin American Catholics
according to which the Gospel of Christ demands that the church concentrate its
efforts on liberating the people of the world from poverty and oppression. The main
belief is that the church should be a movement for those who were denied their rights
because they were poor (Sharon 12/3). The strength of liberation theologyis in its
compassion for the poor and its conviction that the Christian should not remain
passive and indifferent to their plight. Man s inhumanity to man is sin and deserves
the judgment of God and Christian resistance. Liberation theology is a plea for
costly discipleship and a reminder that follow Jesus has practical social and political
consequences. Liberation theology believes that the poor in favelas should take the
example of Jesus and that the Church should act to bring about social change through
