This document analyzes the effect of impulsive loads on a G+3 reinforced concrete building modeled in STAAD Pro. Triangular, rectangular, and sinusoidal impulse loads of 100kN applied for 0.5 seconds were analyzed. It was found that: 1) The maximum deformations occurred on the front surface and roof of the building, with deformations decreasing along the height in a parabolic pattern. 2) Triangular impulses produced the largest deformations, followed by sinusoidal then rectangular impulses. 3) The building responded well to the impulses, but reinforcement should be increased to improve ductility under lateral loads. Higher grade concrete and over-reinforced beams and sl
