This document discusses e-content development and editing. It defines e-learning as electronic learning using digital devices and the internet. 2. What is E-Learning?
E-learning is an electronic-learning system through the internet
using an electronic device. We also call it as an online
learning or online education.
E-learning can be provided via a computer or other digital device,
allowing technology to facilitate learning anytime, anywhere and by
any electronic means.
E-Content
E-content is termed as Electronic content that include text, image,
graphics, animation, audio and video. Sometimes e-content will be
single element carrying anyone of the above element or all of the above
together to display offline or online content and also to be transferable

3. Why E-Content?
E-content lesson is generally designed to guide students through
information or to help them perform specific tasks. An E-
content package can be used by teacher in the virtual classroom
situation also. Using E-content teaching process, teachers can save the
time and engage students in deep-adaptive learning. 4 Main types of E-
Learning Include:-
•Computer Managed Learning (CML)
•Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI)
•Synchronous Online Learning. (SoL)
•Asynchronous Online Learning. (AoL)

“Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds”
“Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds" is an
Indian Massive open online course (MOOC) platform. SWAYAM is an
initiative launched by the Ministry of Human Resource
Development, Government of India under Digital India to give a
coordinated stage and free entry to web courses, covering all advanced
education, High School and skill sector courses. It was launched on 9th
July 2017.

1 •Define for what purpose you are designing this course and what
learners can be benefit out of it.
2 •Describe the points what learners will learn from this specific course.
•Explain each unit objectives and outcomes in such a way that learners
will get an overall idea about what they are going to learn and its
output.
3 •Describe the criterions for the Evaluation of learner.
•Name any 3 or 4 types of students assessments
(Project – 10 marks, Quiz – 5marks, Assignment – 5 marks etc)
4 Specify important settings for learners where they will understand the
concept under given learning condition.

1. eXeLearning is a free and Open Source Editor to create
Educational Resources in an interactive web environment. eXe
Learning can generate interactive contents in XHTML or HTML5
format.
2. Xerte is open source software for authoring learning objects. It is
developed by the University of Nottingham in the UK and is free to
download from the Xerte Community website.
3. LAMS, the Learning Activity Management System, is a free and
open-source Learning Design system for designing, managing and
delivering online collaborative learning Activities, With a visual
authoring environment for creating sequences of learning activities.
4. Moodle is also an modular authoring tool for courses but
currently it does not create SCORM (Shareable Content Object
Reference Model) packages.
