A 26-year-old pregnant woman presented with decreased fetal movement at 7 months of pregnancy. An ultrasound revealed well-defined, anechoic, asymmetric, multiseptate, thin-walled cystic masses on the fetal head and neck, consistent with cystic hygroma. Cystic hygroma is a lymphatic anomaly characterized by cysts containing clear fluid, usually involving the posterior neck region. It often occurs with chromosomal abnormalities and generally has a poor prognosis, possibly leading to oligohydramnios, fetal demise, or developmental issues if the baby survives.
