Cubitus valgus is a deformity where the forearm is abnormally abducted in relation to the upper arm, causing a visible defect. It is rarely seen and can result as a complication from a fractured lateral humerus condyle. Causes include previous fractures or injuries to the lower humerus that result in malunion, interference with epiphyseal growth on the lateral side, or Turner's syndrome. Left untreated, it can lead to a secondary tardy nerve palsy from friction neuritis of the ulnar nerve.
