resources. Village ponds, public parks, playgrounds,
etc., are some examples of community resources

ZOOLOGICAL GARDENS
The term "zoological garden"
refers to zoology, the study
of animals, and a term
deriving from the Greek
word.
The abbreviation 'zoo' was first
used of the London Zoological
Gardens, which was opened for
scientific study in 1828 and to the

BOTANICAL GARDEN
A botanical garden or botanic
garden is a garden dedicated to
the collection, cultivation and
display of a wide range of plants
labeled with their botanical names.
There may be
greenhouses, shade
houses, again with
special collections such as
tropical plants, alpine
plants, or other exotic
plants.
It contains specialist plant
collections such as cacti and
other plants, herb, plants
from particular parts of the
world and so on

Botanical gardens are often run by
universities or other scientific research
organizations, and often have
associated herbaria and research
programmes in plant taxonomy or
some other aspect of botanical science.
Visitor services at a botanical
garden might include tours,
educational displays, art
exhibitions, book rooms, open-
air theatrical and musical
performances, and other
entertainment.

AQUARIUM
The term, coined by English
naturalist Philip Henry Gosse,
combines the Latin root aqua,
meaning water, with the
suffix -arium, meaning "a
place for relating to".
An aquarium (plural: aquariums
or aquaria) is a vivarium of any
size having at least one
transparent side in which water-
dwelling plants or animals are
kept and displayed.
Fish keepers use aquaria
to keep fish,
invertebrates, amphibians,
aquatic reptiles such as
turtles, and aquatic plants.

or maintains an
aquarium, typically
constructed of glass or
high-strength acrylic.
Cuboid aquaria are also
known as fish tanks or
simply tanks, while bowl-
shaped aquaria are also
known as fish bowls.
Size can range from a small glass bowl to
immense public aquaria. Specialized
equipment maintains appropriate water
quality and other characteristics suitable
for the aquarium's residents.

  • 10. AQUARIUM The term, coined by English naturalist Philip Henry Gosse, combines the Latin root aqua, meaning water, with the suffix -arium, meaning "a place for relating to". An aquarium (plural: aquariums or aquaria) is a vivarium of any size having at least one transparent side in which water- dwelling plants or animals are kept and displayed.
