This document presents the findings of a study on the key determinants of construction delays in Erode district, India. A questionnaire was distributed to construction professionals to identify 40 potential factors causing delays. 178 responses were received. Exploratory factor analysis identified 9 key dimensions of delays: design, equipment, personal, manpower, experience, government, material, finance, and owner-related factors. These 9 factors explained 69.7% of total delays. The study aims to help policymakers understand and address important causes of construction delays.
