2. Front Cover Masthead ‘aMP’ is an abbreviation of an amplifier (big music speakers) and also stands for All Music Prodigy. This should appeal to the target audience as it is young and more personal due to the informal approach Main artist is a similar age to the target audience, therefore it’s easier for them to relate and read the article Exclusivity is an appealing feature to the magazine so the audience feels like it can only be found in this magazine and they are the first to read about it List of artist featured in the magazine attracts a wider audience, showing the variety the music magazine brings as it is not just the folk genre. The questionnaires helped to see which artists the audience was interested in The chance to Win ‘FREE’ iTunes vouchers seemed very appealing to the target audience when giving out my questionnaires. iTunes was the most popular choice of download
3. Contents Giving out a questionnaire prior to creating my music magazine gave me an insight to the target audiences preferences. ‘Do you read the editorial’, a large proportion of people said yes, therefore I used an informal approach and wrote in friendly language (mode of address) Addressing the audience personally, allowing them to get involved. Suggests the use of convergence, which shows that the audience can interact with the magazine different ways Mentioning popular bands throughout the magazine Giving the audience chances to get noticed will be an attractive feature to all music lovers wanting to get involved and noticed for their musical talents
4. Double Page Spread ‘New’ artists was an interest in my findings to the questionnaires therefore I made the main feature article about an upcoming artist ‘Cara Thomson’ Fact file box of the new artist allows the audience to find out exclusive personal information which is an attractive feature to my target audience, as they are young adults/ teenagers they will be interested in gossip etc. Award winning, is a big title and as stated on my front cover the interview was exclusive. The sooner the audience can hear about new upcoming artists, the better, as music lovers like to be the first on the scene and I don’t think my target audience will like music going mainstream
