Results Powerpoint On Music Questionnaire

 1. 1. Melissa chin
Results of the Questionnaire
2. 2. From conducting the questionnaire and handing it out to a variety of different people, the main focus was that 40% preferred listening to R&B, with Hip Hop/Rap coming in second. Using this information I can have a better idea on what my music magazine genre will be.
3. 3. This information is important for the atmosphere that my music magazine will create. Therefore, as a suggestion, different colour schemes would be used for different topics of the magazine. For example if my music magazine was covering reggae music then the colours Green, Black and Yellow as these colours represents the Jamaican genre anyway.
Further suggestions that were given by participants was:

blue and white
 4. 4. black, purple and whites
 5. 5. pinkand black.

More people decided that they would prefer to read in a music magazine Celebrity gossip, compared to Articles which had the lowest response demand. Including interviews was also a popular choice.
6. 6. Majority of the participants agreed to purchase a music magazine at a cost that was the cheapest option available, between £2.30 and £2.60.
7. 7. More people preferred the magazine to be distributed on a weekly basis, rather then waiting for their future favourite magazine being distributed every 2 weeks.
8. 8. This pie chart shows that the most people decided that the font CAPTURE IT was a much more interesting font to have on the front cover on my magazine. When i asked people why they didn’t select Champagne and limousines they said that it wasn’t clear enough to be a Main Masthead, but that it would look user friendly for other types of sub-headings that may be in the magazine.
9. 9. Open questions
This is question 2. Who is your favourite artist? which on my questionnaire was an open question, but because the answers given by the participants were similar responses I tallied the results and collated them together to get these results. As you can see so far the popular music artist is Beyonce so perhaps she could go on the front cover to attract audiences to buy it.
10. 10. This graph represents the question, 8. What is your favourite music magazine?. These results showed that more people don’t have a favourite magazine, and the second highest was that the question was left unanswered.
11. 11. Improvements
As a possible improvement to my questionnaire I could have included a question offering possible names for my main masthead of my magazine.
Overall the information that I have received from my questionnaire, has been really useful, and the input of how I can develop my magazine has been successful. I now have clear ideas of the vision and the direction I want my magazine to go in.
