The survey results showed that most respondents were between 16-21 years old and preferred indie music genres. This provides guidance on targeting the magazine's content and features towards a younger audience interested in indie artists. The results also showed that most readers use mobile devices and like Kerrang magazine's style. This informs the magazine's design and theme. Additionally, respondents said they would pay £3 or less and want interviews and photos, guiding the budget and types of content included.

1. Survey Results

11. The results that I got from my survey were that a total of 14 people submitted their answers and therefore allowed to me to use the research as
evidence of what I should include in my music magazine including the target audience and what they would prefer to see within my magazine. From the
first question I asked what their age was. There was a larger percentage 16-21 years old than any other, this then helps me to focus on which type of
target audience my magazine to appeal to. Within my survey, I also asked the gender of the respondents, this was to help me find out who the
magazine will appeal to and who to feature depending upon a feminine theme or a masculine type magazine such as Kerrang. The other varied
questions that I asked was what type of genre the audience preferred to see within the magazines that they read, the most popular was Indie which
helped me with my research as to what to include in my magazine and what they audience would be more interested in. When producing these
questions I wanted to think about how the respondents read a music magazine and which particular ones they liked. I found out that if they do read it
on a digital device, the most popular was on a mobile device and the highest popularity was Kerrang, this then helped to research into the type of
theme and contents they have in which I can interpret and correlate in my magazine. For my questions, I also wanted to include a question that would
aid me into how much the retail of my magazine would be ideally. The results I got from this was that, on average, people pay £3 or under, this limits
the amount of content within the magazine such as the images, pages and articles, but this also helps with my research as to what the respondents
would prefer to make it successful. What I wanted to really achieve from making this magazine was what content the reader prefers and the main
response I got was interviews and imagery/photography. This helped me a lot because I can incorporate this into my music magazine as well as what
they want to see on most of the pages within my music magazine.
