This document provides a summary and evaluation of an FMP (Final Major Project) involving the creation of a pixel art game. The summary includes sections on research, planning, time management, technical qualities, aesthetic qualities, audience appeal, and peer feedback. For the research section, the creator notes they could have chosen better example games and included sound effects. Planning involved mind mapping and mood boarding, though sound could have been added. Time management and a tighter schedule are noted to improve the final product. Peer feedback praised the music, art, and concept but suggested improving gameplay clarity and animation bugs. The creator agrees some areas need polishing and disagree with changing the troop designs.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

3. Research
• My research helped me to create me final product by showing the
similarities between games that use pixel art.
• Me researching helped to find similar themes in games.
• I believe I could have chosen better games for my research such as ones
that showed better visuals.
• I could have collected sound effects for my research.
4. Planning
• Creating a mind map let me explore a few different ideas at once and let
me elaborate on a single idea.
• Creating a mood board let me explore a lot of different games and their
styles/themes of play
• I feel as if I could have added sounds to my mood board.
5. Time Management
• I had to finish up some files after we passed this part of the course
• I would have been able to complete most of the files I had to finish if I had
more time.
• If I had more time I would definitely put more time into creating the final
product
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I didn’t really like my final product as it was pixel art
I feel like I could have added more colour The map was just an image I took from online
8. Audience Appeal
I have made my product appeal
to the specified age range as it
contains the content listed.
It has the chess part in the game
It is pixel art so It would
run on most computers
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I think the concept is a really original idea, I like the
combination of a very simple board game set up
similar to chess combined with a storyline.
– The pixel animation moves very smoothly.
– The app logo looks very professional, as if it could
really belong to a game.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The opening scene is a little bit blurry because it was
an image.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The music is really fanciful and works well with the
scene
– The art style was simple and the logo looked great
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Maybe spend a bit more time on the game play as
I couldn’t really tell what was the main part.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the unique chess style and how both side’s
pieces look different.
– I like the music and sound effects.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I noticed that when the green guy’s turn was over, it
still said it was his turn. I would also have an option to
choose what my “army” looked like.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that the music worked well and that It looked
nice
– I also noticed that the “Turn” didn’t disappear, so I
would double check everything before I make sure it is
animated.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I wouldn’t make it so you could choose what your
army looked like because you would think that they
are different troops.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I would make sure that I would have some
kind of a title screen where you can choose
your army.
I would make it so everything
was made to look nice.
I might have made a “Selected troop:”
area in the encounter screen. To show
people that there are more than the base
amount of troops.
I might have made some of the music
louder because it seemed to go from
being loud to quiet then loud again.
I might have made the timing
better on sound effects.
I might have added more colour to the game.
