Production Process Evaluation
Research
• Strengths: helpful, enlightening on the game, was unique and no
copyrighted content was used in my game.
• Weaknesses: couldn’t decide at first, struggled for ideas, doubted myself
about it at first
• My research helped my product quite a bit as it influenced the style and
look of my main character heavily along with some of the sound effects
and the music itself.
Planning
• Strengths: can write my ideas down, reconsider certain design options and
replace them with other options.
• Weaknesses: can start production and then think of new ideas during the
production
• Planning helped my product a lot, mainly because it was helpful to write
down my ideas and then decide what I’m going to do, I find this method a
lot easier than others.
• I could have done my character design better as they have no outline, also
the background could have been done better aswell.
Time Management
• I managed my time well as I managed it so that I would be ahead of
schedule just enough to be able to take more time on my production so I
sped through my course work whilst keeping track of my quality and
quantity of my work along with frequently updating my blogger. I
completed my project before the deadline which helps for my evaluation
and production reflection power points. If I had more time for my product
I would have made more backgrounds and added in some combat
animations to make it more appealing and exciting to younger audiences.
Technical Qualities
my product is similar with style of
the main character and shape and
design of the enemy ships interior to
some of the characters in the star
wars franchise’s previous game styles
Along with some of the sound effects
in the game are taken from the films.
Aesthetic Qualities
My work looks good for the style
it was drawn in, it was creative
and unique. One of the aspects
that the game has is the little
ship in the background
Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target audience with
my games design(especially the main
character) the sound effects and the overall
backing music. As you can see I designed my
main character to look similar to a clone
trooper from star wars and the ship in the
far back is designed after a separatist frigate
from star wars aswell

Peer Feedback Summary
The changes I would make based on my peer feedback is to speed up the
animation of the main character because it was a bit slow for the game and
dragged the animation on too long. I would also change the ending text from free
hand to typed instead because it would look nicer and more aesthetically
pleasing.

  • 3. Research • Strengths: helpful, enlightening on the game, was unique and no copyrighted content was used in my game. • Weaknesses: couldn’t decide at first, struggled for ideas, doubted myself about it at first • My research helped my product quite a bit as it influenced the style and look of my main character heavily along with some of the sound effects and the music itself.
  • 4. Planning • Strengths: can write my ideas down, reconsider certain design options and replace them with other options. • Weaknesses: can start production and then think of new ideas during the production • Planning helped my product a lot, mainly because it was helpful to write down my ideas and then decide what I’m going to do, I find this method a lot easier than others. • I could have done my character design better as they have no outline, also the background could have been done better aswell.
  • 5. Time Management • I managed my time well as I managed it so that I would be ahead of schedule just enough to be able to take more time on my production so I sped through my course work whilst keeping track of my quality and quantity of my work along with frequently updating my blogger. I completed my project before the deadline which helps for my evaluation and production reflection power points. If I had more time for my product I would have made more backgrounds and added in some combat animations to make it more appealing and exciting to younger audiences.
  • 6. Technical Qualities my product is similar with style of the main character and shape and design of the enemy ships interior to some of the characters in the star wars franchise’s previous game styles Along with some of the sound effects in the game are taken from the films.
  • 7. Aesthetic Qualities My work looks good for the style it was drawn in, it was creative and unique. One of the aspects that the game has is the little ship in the background
  • 8. Audience Appeal I have appealed to my target audience with my games design(especially the main character) the sound effects and the overall backing music. As you can see I designed my main character to look similar to a clone trooper from star wars and the ship in the far back is designed after a separatist frigate from star wars aswell

Peer Feedback Summary The changes I would make based on my peer feedback is to speed up the animation of the main character because it was a bit slow for the game and dragged the animation on too long. I would also change the ending text from free hand to typed instead because it would look nicer and more aesthetically pleasing.
