3. Research
• I researched a lot into other pixel based games
which involves basic rpg movement and took
some inspiration from those and added to my
own work. Like the pixel art and designs for
the creatures.
• For the audio I looked on You-tube for the
sounds and audio files. I searched for the right
sounds and appropriate to the time period.
4. Planning
• I planed out as much as I could but I basically
summarized my work into simple bullet points
so it was easier for me, and easier to
remember them. They are just basic thing like
creating a background that looks original and
cool.
• I planned where my audio files should go in
time with the mp4 file of my game.
5. Time Management
• I was able to manage my time by giving myself 2
hours everyday to work on these projects and ideas
on Photoshop. This has proven productive and
helpful as I can spend more time doing other things
during the day on my holidays. If I was doing nothing
then I would just do extra work and keep thing of
different ways I can learn to use Photoshop.
• I think I will continue using this method as it works
very well and gives me a sense of dedication.
6. Technical Qualities
Another game that is similar is a game on miniiclip where is
essentially the same but more detailed and fast paced.
It has similar audio files with a peaceful and natural start, as the
game progresses the background music changes to a darker
depressing tune. Not only that but the movements of the main
player always had a playful and arcade sound like Mario jump.
I was trying to go for a similar
style with the colors but in
my own style and version.
This game also has similar
audio with a pending doom
that is evadable as long as
your good at the game.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I don't think my work is prefect or great but its an okay standard I want to do
better. I want to improve my standards so the work I produce is as good as I can
make it and get better grades and marks on my assessments. Not only that but I
would like to add Photoshop as a skill not a weakness. My work can always be
improved upon and given better detail.
My audio work can be improved upon with better sounds that go together well
and are edited better so it sounds more natural then rushed.
My work has been irritant as my first
attempt didn’t work and the file I saved
corrupted so I had to do it again but I
didn’t like my second attempt just
because I was more confident with the
first version.
8. Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target audience by providing a fun and creative setting
in my game, my questionnaire helped me find out what people wanted as it
helped me with unit 3 and I hope to use it in later units. I found out that most
people like the old and classic look to pixel games like Pac-man or galaga.
The sound features are the second most important thing in this project and in
most others since the audio allows for people to hear what is happening.

I liked the colours and the use of depth in the

Maybe more slides for the animation to make it
last longer and look better.

The thing i liked about this product was that its

The animation could be longer and have some
kind of a “press x to start” pop up at the
begining.

• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
I agree with that my animation should be longer and more
detailed. I have added extra detail and audio so hopefully its
improved.

None of it they are all valid points. But my finished project has
been updated and is now better and more detailed.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I would spend more time on my product and make it
more detailed and better representation of my
vision of the advergame. Because I feel like I can do
better and that I will try better in future projects.
And I have made a lot of changes, added detail and
imported audio files so when I export the file as an
mp4 file it will produce the sound in the background
as well as the video. I needed to add audio so It was
essential that I did in order to get more marks for
my overall grade.
