Production Process Evaluation
Research
• I the strengths are that I already knew what to talk about like games and
the new ones what are coming out and when and what they are about
and that then made it easier for me to do my research so I could find the
right things.
• Another thing for the strengths is that when it came to do the script I had
a better idea for my podcast and that also made it easier to make the
podcast and record it.
• A weakness would be that I had an idea for my podcast and then that kind
of restricted me from finding other games to talk about e.g. if I talked
about a way out I had knowledge of that game but I was to talk about
crack down 3 then I would have less knowledge of the game but I would
be something different to talk about
Planning
• The strengths for the planning would be that I already knew what I wanted
to do what was games and that also helped me for the podcast and also
made it easier for me to plan out the podcast and what to add in for sound
effects etc.
• The weaknesses would be that if I already knew what to plan it would
make it so I would not have any other ideas or would not make it so that if
I came up with any other ideas that I would probably side with the first
idea and then mostly likely develop them
Time Management
• I think my timing was good because when I started it I had a idea when to
what like start recording and then when to edit the podcast e.g. added the
sound effects and then the music. When I was editing the podcast I
finished the podcast but then adobe crashed so then I had to start the
editing of the podcast all again so then I lost out on time so I had re do it
again but quicker so I didn’t lose as much time. I would fix this by saving
more so I don’t lose as much work and then I would not of lost as much
time. I also timed my time well by doing the first five stages of the audio
section
Technical Qualities
• I think that my work is similar to the
achievement hunter podcast because we both
talk about games in them. The differences are
that there is more then two people in their
podcast and they have a video of them talking
but my podcast is just a blank screen and just
me and jack talking
Aural Qualities
• I think my work sounded ok I think that all the
sound effects fitted the audio well. The only thing
that sounded the worst out of everything was
myself because when I was talking it sounded
quite dull and boring so it I was more louder it
would of probably sounded better. The things
that I like are the sound effects and the music for
the podcast because I think that they fitted the
audio podcast well and the music in the back
ground sounded good in my own opinion and
made it sound less dull because without it, it
would of only been myself and jack talking
Audience Appeal
I think that my target audience would like parts of the podcast depending on what part
its In like if I talk about a certain game some people might not want to listen to that and
would maybe want to listen to another game like call of duty or fifa.
When I talk about games coming out in march people might not want to listen to that
and would be more bothered about games what come out at the end of the year like red
dead redemption 2 fifa and call of duty.
I haven’t really appealed to my age range because I didn’t not add any clips of the games
what we talked about and the games what are rated over 16 we only talked about two
of them call of duty and a way out and we didn’t really talk about the game its self more
of why we was looking forward to it and with call of duty we only talked about I with the
end of year games.
Also when I talked about the gender been male and female I also made it so its both not
just one because both male and female can play games.
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
• I like that they talk about games what are coming out
all year round and not just a certain time of the year
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
• I would make it so it’s a bit longer and the music in the
back ground id make that a bit louder and the main
person who is speaking was more clear
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the sound effects for the podcast so when they said the
name of a game they would make a sound effect what matched
the game with sea of thieves they added a cannon sound
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
• I would make it so the sounds are better with the game
because they sound a bit out of place with the name of the
game e.g. with far cry the sound effect off a gun didn’t
match the sound of a gun in far cry
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like that you talk about your own favourite games and what
you like about them also I like that you talk about the new
games what are coming out and not just the usual games what
are coming out like fifa and call of duty.
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
• I would make it goes on for a bit longer because in my
opinion the podcast doesn’t last very long and also make
the music sound a bit more louder because I thought that it
was a bit quite.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
• I agree with that I should of sounded more clear. Another thing that
I also agree with is that I should of made the podcast a bit longer
because it was only around 2 minutes and the target was around 2-
5 minutes so it seems that I have not made it long enough and less
effort put into making the podcast
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
• I disagree with the music and the sound effects because with the
sound effects there isn’t many to choose from with finding the right
one say with a gun you would want to find the right rate of fire or
the right sound of the gun. And with the music I think that the
volume of the music was just right not been too quite or too loud.
Peer Feedback Summary
I would make it so when I am talking in the podcast that I sound louder and more clear.
With the music I would make it a bit louder and maybe find a better peace of music
what sound better and fits in better with the podcast. The sound effects I would try to
find a better one what fits the podcast better and what suit the game theme

Editor's Notes

  1. What were the strengths of your research? How did your research help your product? What were the weaknesses of your research? What could you have done better/improve? What effect would this have had on your product?
