3. Research
• My research helped me with my product a lot because at first I wasn’t sure
about what to put into my travel podcast or even what to include. The
research of other podcasts helped me think about what to include. For
example in one travel podcast there wasn’t any background music which I
didn't’t like because there wasn’t much going on in the podcast there
where only sound effects. An other podcast that I researched had a
backing track that wasn’t too loud or too upbeat it was a nice relaxing
track. This relaxing track made the sound effects work a lot better because
it helped me picture what they were talking about and it made me feel
relaxed. Ccomparing these two podcasts helped me come to a final
decision on what I should include in my podcast so I decided to use the
ideas from the second podcast the most because I thought that podcast
worked a lot better and had more of an effect on me.
4. Planning
• planning helped my podcast a lot. It helped me think about what locations
can I talk about the most and describe the feelings the most. It also helped
me think about what different sound effects I should use for each location.
My planning could have gone a lot better I think if I had included more
locations to give me more of a choice and a clearer idea of what to do, I
also think I could have included some more exciting places in my podcast.
For example Bulgaria.
5. Time Management
• I definitely should have managed my time a lot better as towards the end
of the deadline I was rushing and became very aware of the fact I am far
behind. Next time I should make myself personal targets to make sure I do
not fall behind and make sure I meet my deadline. time management was
helpful so I was not behind in my coursework.
6. Technical Qualities
• My podcast is quite similar to another podcast I researched because my
idea of having a calm backing track came from that podcast and the idea
of using sound effects as well as backing music. The difference between
my bod pact and the researched pod cast is that my locations aren’t as
extravagant as the other podcast, the other podcast at lots of exotic
locations such as Peru and Africa.
7. Aural Qualities
• My work sounded good the second time. The first time the recording was
crackly and not clear, and there wasn’t much point in putting it into
premiere. The things I liked the most out of my work was how well the
backing track worked so well with the sound effects. The backing track
made me feel peaceful and the sound effects worked really well because
the sound effects came across as very therapeutic an peaceful.
8. Audience Appeal
• the topic of my podcast target my audience because a lot of people between the
ages of 16-19 want to travel. A lot of people around these ages take gap years in
unit to travel the world. And a lot of other people have already been to a lot of
places on holiday with families and maybe even friends. I had the idea that this
topic would make my audience interested. Quite a few travel podcasts talk about
the history of places not why they would visit again and why they like it.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
I liked that she was passionate about these
places and she seemed very enthusiastic about
visiting these places again.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
If she had more of an introduction.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
The places she talked about were different and
one was sentimental.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
If she had more of an intro at the start.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
I could picture the views and shops from her
introduction.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
More of an intro.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
I liked how my peers could see how passionate I am
about these places and that one of them is
sentimental. I also liked how my audience felt the
way I wanted them too and that they could picture
what I was talking about.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
I don’t disagree with any of my feedback because I
probably could’ve done more of an introduction.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I would add more of an introduction and talk about
why I like to travel not why other people should. Id
also pick another place that’s not in England to mix
it up more and make it more interesting. For
example id use the Ardeche in France as well as
Chamonix, or use Greece.
