Production Process Evaluation
Research
• The research I did wasn’t very useful as there isn’t any non video podcasts
about shoes so it was quite hard to find something that was the same so I
had to do way more describing in the podcast which made it hard to
explain what I was talking about as there was video which made the script
longer to make as I had to be very detailed with the podcast
Planning
• Planning was the most time consuming part of the project, as I had to
book the room, the script was changing a lot through the planning part, as
I only had 5 minutes to fit in what I wanted and I had so many ideas and I
would remember something new when I was done, I already had the
equipment in mind from the beginning which helped and saved a lot of
time booking out the equipment. The one thing I didn’t really plan for was
problems which was a big problem when it came to it
Time Management
• My time management at the beginning wasn’t very good as it took a lot to
come up with something when I did I had three ideas, 1 a podcast about
games, a football podcast and the one that I went for was a shoe podcast and
the episode would be about the Jordan brand which I had a lot of help with
my dad as he grew up with those shoes and was in to them when they were in
their first prime of selling and being popular which helped a lot and there was
loads of different interviews with famous people which I watched who was
telling what they had to do to have enough for those shoes which gave me
everything that I needed for the podcast, when making the podcast I thought
everything was ok we had the room to our selves and we did some tests to
make sure that everything was ok but when I got into editing it was way too
loud and you could barley hear what I was actually saying which added more
time and pressure on me to get it done, when making it the second time
round, we couldn’t take it seriously and we had to do so many takes as there
would be a slight laugh in the background and it took us nearly a full lesson to
do it, when we finally finished it the editing didn’t take that long as I was just
cutting down anything that had pauses in or me explain to mo what was
coming up next and then I was finished on time to get started with the
evaluation.
Technical Qualities
My product that I took most of my inspiration
from was the YouTube series sneaker shopping
by complex, they get someone famous to talk
about their shoe styles, different brands they
wear and how it effected them in their lives, and
at the end they would buy some shoes, I took
the first part for mine as at the end of mine I
asked Mo how that brand effects him and if he is
a fan of it and I was just asking loads of different
questions about the brand.
Aural Qualities
With the sound it was good quality and it
sounded not too loud but not too quiet, and the
music blended in with fades with the voices
quite nicely, one thing I would change about it
would be the beginning of it when you can hear
the rustling of the paper
Audience Appeal
The way I appealed to my audience is I did a thorough research that the
hardcore fans of the brand so I wouldn’t get anything wrong with my facts I said
like how some of the Jordan's were banned from the basketball court as they
didn’t have much white in it. When I was naming the shoes for one of the
questions, I made sure I got the right name for them so my targeted audience
wouldn’t get annoyed and turn it off
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
The music made the product sound very
proffesional it also fit the podcast well.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
The podcast is perfection.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
I find this product interesting because it is very
informative and it felt like as if I'm in the
conversation.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– One improvement that could be made is maybe
the sound effect would last the whole
conversation and not just be in a few parts of the
whole podcast.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I really enjoyed the music in the background and the
topic. The conversations didn't switch focus they were
always on the same topic which was good.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• Next time add a fade at the end of each time you
had music, just because it sounded blocky when
the music had finished.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
I did, as most of those tweaks that they mention to
make I know I should make them from the
beginning when I finished editing it
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
All the feedback I agree with and I don’t see a
problem with them
Peer Feedback Summary
The main improvements that everyone
told me to make was to fade the music
at the end and make it smooth instead
of it ending suddenly but everything
else doesn’t need any provements and
the main iusse I had with the
product no one brought it up which
was a plus for me
