Some strengths of my research is that I looked at different podcasts and this
helped me because I was able to see what they had in common and find out
the conventions for a hip-hop podcast and this was helpful as it helped to
know on what to include in my podcast. Weaknesses of my research would be
that I looked at the same podcasts just with different guests on it so I think
that I could have made this better by looking at different podcasts and then I
can find all the conventions and know what else I could’ve included into my
own podcast

4. Planning
Some strengths of my planning is that I looked into different elements such as
I planned out the language and said why I chose what I did for example I
chose to speak informally so it gives a relaxing atmosphere and I also looked
into my target audience and thought about how I’m going to attract this
target audience. I think some weaknesses of my planning is that it wasn’t as
detailed as what it could’ve been so if I was to do this again then I’d make
sure that my planning is in more details and this would help to improve my
podcast as I would have thought about everything more and it would be in
more detail as well.

5. Time Management
I think I managed my time well as I was able to complete all the tasks within
the time given. If I had additional time I would make my podcast longer and
maybe try to include an interview into my podcast as this would keep the
audience interested and help reach the target audience as if it was an
interview with an artist they like then they would want to listen to it.

6. Technical Qualities
My podcast is similar to this one as they’re talking about topics
in the hip-hop community however there are many differences
as there are more than one person speaking in the podcast and
in my podcast there is just one person. Another difference is that
this podcast doesn’t include many songs or sound effects in the
actual podcast. And another difference is that there are 4 people
discussing the subjects including the artist

7. Aural Qualities
My work sounds good as it is very clear and it’s easy to
understand, it sounds high quality and I think that my work
sounds professional. My work was creative as I included many
different songs and sound effects throughout my podcast. If I
was to improve this I would possible make it longer and include
some more sound effects through out the podcast instead of just
having an intro and outro I would also get some more people in
the podcast so it isn’t just one person talking.

8. Audience Appeal
In my podcast I have applied to my audience in many ways one way is to talk about topics that
my audience are interested in such as my podcast is a hip-hop podcast therefore I talked
about hip-hop topics with the artists that my target audience would listen too such as drake,
lil skies and many more. Another way is to play music that my audience like as this will keep
them interested and it will also keep them up to date with all the latest music so that they
don’t miss any new songs that have been released. My podcast also appeals to my audience
as it keeps them up to date with all the latest news and gossip so this will attract my audience
who are males that are fans of hip-hop that are 15-29 and this will appeal to them as this is
the demographic of my audience that enjoy hip-hop music.

Based upon my feedback I would have interviewed an artist and
just have a conversation with them and ask questions about their
careers and make it more like a podcast and got their opinions on
the topics that I was talking about. I would also talk about the
topics in more details and included my thoughts into the
discussions and I would also make the music duration shorter on
some of the songs.
