3. Research
• The strengths of the research for my magazine is that it helped me decide
on what magazine I could do for my magazine between xbox ps4 and pc
and I decided to do xbox because it’s the console I like the best out of
them all
• another strengths is that I also knew about xbox so it was easier to write
about and I also knew what to write like the new games what are coming
out and what they are about.
• The weakness would be that If I already knew xbox better then the others
it could be a weakness that I didn’t do the others and I could learn new
things
4. Planning
• The strengths for my planning is that when I planned I would have had a
better idea for the magazine and what to for the cover and the double
page spread.
• Another strength for the planning is that I already knew a lot about Xbox
so the main thing I had to know about is the cover of a magazine and how
to lay it out also with the double page spread another thing I had to know
is the dates of games and the new things in the games what wasn’t in the
old games.
• A weakness for the planning is that you cant change it after you have
made the mind map and the mood boards unless you want to do it again
and another is that if you gather images they will be very similar so you
cant very what you want to do e.g. football besides players or teams
5. Time Management
• I managed my time well as I finished my magazine within the time limit
and I could have done more but I wanted to improve my work to be better
then having more work but less detailed
• I did not rush my work because of the time and I checked my work
multiple times to make sure that it was good and had nothing wrong with
it and when I finished my work I wanted to check if there was anything
wrong with the work like images sizes or font size and the font to see if it
was out of place in anyway
6. Technical Qualities
I have made my magazine similar to the magazine on the right. The similar things are the
games at the bottom the big game in the middle and then the Xbox title but I have made
my own title fir my magazine
I have added a giveaway to make the magazine feel more like more of a magazine and the
colours are similar because both of the magazines are used for xbox so its sort of that
green black and white feel.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I think my work looks ok because I went for the Xbox theme. I also think is was creative with the
double page spread I made the style of of the old Xbox home screen and I thought that It would
look good for the double page spread
The things that I would improve is the detail on the double page spread because I think it looks
quite plain and it could have more colour in it to make It look more interesting and stand out
more.
The strengths is that with the magazine covers and spread is that I already had an idea for what to
do couse I had the idea for the double page spread and the old back ground the only idea what I
didn't not have is he cover for the magazine so I had to have a look online for other ones to get a
idea
8. Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target audience been
male and female with the colour scheme
because I chose the colours bases off Xbox and
the colours for them is black white and green
I have made the magazine for the
middle class so it wont be too
expensive £4.99 a month and that also
matches my target audience
