Dear Parents, 6 -16 February
Activities we will be doing in Preschool
 Over the next 2 weeks we will be introducing the children to the letters ‘p’
and ‘n’. We will be talking about how they look and what objects we can
find that begin with these letter sounds.
 Individually and in small groups we will be reading a variety of stories to
the children and asking them to predict how they may end and recall the
events and characters in the story.
 In the role-play area we will have a doctor’s role-play. The children have
enjoyed learning all about the different parts of the body and how to keep
them healthy and they are using this knowledge to act out being doctors
and nurses in the role-play area.
Activities to do at home
 Every week we will be sending home letters we have introduced at
preschool. We would like you to help your child recognise the letters and
to find objects that begin with the letter sound. Please bring the letters
back before Friday so we can add a new letter.
 Talk to your child about your body and see if they can tell you what their
heart, lungs and brain do. Ask them how we can help to keep our bodies
fit and healthy.
Notices
 We will break up for half term on Friday 17 February and will come back to
school on Monday 27 February.
 Please bring in any Sainsbury’s vouchers you have – there is a box in the
parent’s area.
