Preschool Spring Term Activities
1. Spring Term 16th
-20th
Jan 2017
Dear Parents,
Activities we will be doing in Preschool:
Talking about our bodies, naming and counting different body parts.
Developing our independence skills as we learn to find our own coats
and try to put them on ourselves when we go out to play.
Learning our rhyme of the week which is ‘5 peas in a pea pod pressed.’
When saying this rhyme the children use their fingers to represent
numbers so it helps both mathematical and fine motor development.
Activities to do at home with your child:
Sing rhymes and try leaving words out so they have to fill in the gaps.
Read to your child, at bedtime and as often as you can. This is a lovely
opportunity to interact with your child; it also helps develop their
concentration and language skills as they listen to you and learn new
vocabulary.
Encourage them to put their coats on themselves.
Notices:
Please remember that if your child needs to take Calpol they are not
well enough to come to school.
If your child has had sickness and/or diarrhoea they need to remain
at home until 48hours after the last episode. Both the above points
help us to avoid cross infection amongst the children so thank you for
your co-operation.
