The preschoolers will continue discussing the story of Whatever Next and role playing activities related to it. They will also learn two new songs for a Mother's Day service and sort objects by shape and size. Parents are encouraged to look for shapes around the home with their child and continue singing number rhymes. There will be a 45 minute family service on March 26th for Mother's Day where the children will sing two songs they have learned, and March 24th is Comic Relief day where children are invited to wear red and donations will be accepted.

Activities we will be doing in Preschool:
 Continuing to talk about the story of Whatever Next, encouraging the
children’s recall of the story through our role play activities.
 Learning 2 new songs for our Mother’s Day service on 26th
March (see
notices below)
 Sorting objects and talking about their shape and size.
Activities to do at home with your child:
 Looking for shapes in the environment when you are at home or out
and about. E.g. How many circular or square shaped objects can you
find in your living room?
 Continue singing “5 little men in a flying saucer” using fingers to
represent numbers. I know that some of the children are really
enjoying the animation on Youtube so maybe you could look up some
other number rhymes on there as well.
Notices:
 On Sunday 26th
March there will be a short (45 mins) family service
to celebrate Mother’s Day. The children are learning 2 songs for the
occasion and will be joining with the Sunday groups to sing these for
you.
 Friday 24th
March is Comic Relief or Red Nose day. If your child
attends on this day then we invite you to dress them in something red.
A voluntary donations pot will be available in the foyer.
