3. Research
The good thing about having done research before making the product
is that is allowed me to look into different racing games and get an
idea of how they should look. It also allowed me to think about details
that should be shown on the screen. For example lap times, the map
of the circuit or the place that the player is in. For my research, I also
made an audience profile to pin point details of what the audience will
be like such as age, gender and Psychographic. I looked at three
existing product that are similar to the one I am going to make. This
allowed me to compare my ideas to how they might look. It also
allowed me to think about the colours and how cartoony to make it
look. Lastly, I created a research analysis to compare all three existing
project and fine the things about them that are similar that I could use
or include in my project.
4. Planning
By making a plan, it allowed me to think of multiple ideas that I could
possible use for the product. For this I thought of three ideas and
made a mind map about them. This allowed me to think in detail
about them and think about how I want them. I also made another
mind map for the idea which I preferred as then I will think about it
more and focus about the content. With the planning for the racing
game I had a few processes to help develop the idea. The first one was
the mind map that had three ideas on it. This allowed me to think of
different bits of content that I could include to the project. It also
allowed me to explore different ideas. Secondly was the second mind
map where I focussed on the one idea which allowed me to add detail
to it and gather more content and use some idea from the other two
ideas. Finally I made a mood board that allowed me to think about
different aspects visual wise, such as colours, character and
backgrounds.
5. Time Management
With this project I made a schedule so that I knew what I had to do
when and so that I had a plan. I did manage to stick to this timing
well and complete all the work on time. By doing this schedule, it
makes it a lot easier as you don’t have to keep thinking what you
are going to do
next. I also feel
that the plan of
action could have
had more detail
about what I will
do and be able to
follow It easier.
But I liked
knowing the
resources needed
6. Technical Qualities
Both show their name
Clearly for the customer
Both use a

Both of these app
Logos show the type of
Vehicle used in the game.
The real logo has
Been branded by
‘EA’ to show who made it
Custom font
For the name
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I think that the logo I have made for the
work is very good. It shows lot of different
aspects about it which gives detail about
what the game actually Is. I like that I have
stuck to the yellow/ gold theme so that it
links to the wild west which my game is set
in. using these colours gives the game the
cartoony feeling that I am wanting it to
have. I also like how the bike looks like it is
doing a stunt onto the hill ramp which
shows that it is a fun game to play. I also
think that if I made this game again I would
try make it look clearer and less blurry as
this would make it look more professional.
8. Audience Appeal
With this project, I do think that I have
appealed it to my audience successfully. I
have done this my aiming all my decisions
to make it look more childish to appeal to
them. For starters I have used bright
colours as this will make it look cartoony
and this will be more appealing to the
younger audience. I have also used
colourful vehicles to make the look cooler
and so that the audience would be
interested. If I did it again I would do a
survey to make sure what to put in it in
more detail.

• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
• I don’t agree that the video as a whole is
‘Clunky and isn’t Smooth’ as most of the video
does look good and runs well.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
• If I did this project again I would reflect on the feedback that I
have been given to improve it. For starters I would try to
improve the quality of the game. This will make the video as a
whole look a lot better and impressive. I also think that by
improving the quality the game will be easier to watch and
understand what is happening.
• I would also improve the length of the gameplay. I feel that the
gameplay is very quick and jumpy. I would change this so that
it is a lot smoother
