Mind Map
I will think about the
fonts and colours and
the themed images I
will make these on
Photoshop.
The DVD case will be based on a
certain genre and will include
the covers.
The CD case will be based
on a made up music
artist. It will include the
case cover, back and
front and it will include
the cover on the disk.
I will design the
different aspects
of a video game.
I will include
the settings,
characters and
an animation to
go with it.
I will make this
on Photoshop
and make it a
pixelated game.
The graphic novel idea
will be based on a
simple action story
with characters and
settings.
I will think about the
fonts I will be using and
the characters it will be,
since it is going to be a
graphic novel
everything will be a
cartoon.
The graphic novel will
include a front cover
as well as a back cover
and the content that
will be inside.
It will include text and
picture and will be
made and designed on
Photoshop. The novel
will be aimed at people
aged 10-18.

Pixel
Advergame
The aim of the game
is to collect all 3 stars
on each level.
I have chosen to use
Photoshop because I will be
able to change the size of
the pixels, so I’ll create the
game content pixelated.
I will also be able to use Photoshop
for when I make the animation for
the game because I will make it
using frames like stop motion.
I am going to make a
pixelated Advergame
that will be based upon a
game idea I have thought
of.
I will make the
Advergame using
Photoshop
The game content I will be making
is going to be based on an action
game, because of this the game
will be aimed at people aged
between 8-12.
Colour, themes,
inspiration and
research
I will also research other
ways people have advertised
their games, for example
existing posters, game case
covers, merchandise etc.
I am going to research other
games to find inspiration and
base any games upon things
that aren’t already in the
market.
I will also look at what the most
popular game is and why. I will
look at how most people play
games weather it is on their PC,
mobiles and gaming consoles.
I am going to look at
existing game covers and
see what different things
they include.
The Advergame will
include the settings,
characters, game
posters, game case
The animation I am going
to make based on the
game idea is to show how
the game will be played
and what it includes.
The settings are going to
show that the game is an
action game by having
rough looking areas.
For example there is
going to be loads of
different settings that the
player will be able to
chose from.
Mood Board
I like the “Sonic Unleashed” because it’s the same type of
game as the one I am going to make. I also like the “Red Dead
Redemption 2” as it has most of the things you need to know
about the game and decide if you like it or not. I like the “Fifa
19” as it doesn’t have loads of information that could spoil the
fun bits about the game but it is still enough to find out what
the game is about.
Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• There is loads of games on my Moodboard that share the
same colours with others.
• There is also many games with the same style such as the
“Call of duty black ops 4” and the “Halo 6”.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• My Moodboard will influence my final product by
Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept I am going to design a game idea and it’s content. the game will be an arcade game based on completing 3 stars
on each level. I am going to use Photoshop to design the poster and to make the animation using different
frames. I am going to design the different characters and settings that I will include.
Type of
products you
would make
The products I am going to make are a Game Poster, Game case cover, characters, settings and an animation
based on the game idea. On the back of the case cover I will write a brief description of the game and the
information about how to play it and who can play it. I will think about possible logos and slogans for the game as
well.
What you will
need to make
them
To make the game content I am going to use Photoshop. The game is going to be pixelated so I will change the
settings while on Photoshop. I am going to use already existing fonts, characters and settings to help me build my
own ideas around them.
Audience The audience that my game is going to be aimed at people is people at any age, I have chosen this because the
game is going to include some fun parts, suitable for all ages. The game will be aimed at any people who are
interested in gaming.
Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
CD + DVD cases I have chosen not to do CD + DVD cases because it doesn’t give me
much room for creativity and ideas. I also didn’t chose them
because they are simple and I wouldn’t be able to add loads of
detail to them.
Graphic Novel I didn’t do the graphic novel because it can be to hard and will only
give me one certain aspect to focus on. Unlike the advergame
which has give me a larger aspect of things like animations and
posters.

I will think about the fonts I will be using and the characters it will be, since it is going to be a graphic novel everything will be a cartoon. The graphic novel will include a front cover as well as a back cover and the content that will be inside. It will include text and picture and will be made and designed on Photoshop. The novel will be aimed at people aged 10-18. Pixel Video Game CD + DVD cases Initial Ideas Graphic novel
  • 3. Mind Map Pixel Advergame The aim of the game is to collect all 3 stars on each level. I have chosen to use Photoshop because I will be able to change the size of the pixels, so I’ll create the game content pixelated. I will also be able to use Photoshop for when I make the animation for the game because I will make it using frames like stop motion. I am going to make a pixelated Advergame that will be based upon a game idea I have thought of. I will make the Advergame using Photoshop The game content I will be making is going to be based on an action game, because of this the game will be aimed at people aged between 8-12. Colour, themes, inspiration and research I will also research other ways people have advertised their games, for example existing posters, game case covers, merchandise etc. I am going to research other games to find inspiration and base any games upon things that aren’t already in the market. I will also look at what the most popular game is and why. I will look at how most people play games weather it is on their PC, mobiles and gaming consoles. I am going to look at existing game covers and see what different things they include. The Advergame will include the settings, characters, game posters, game case The animation I am going to make based on the game idea is to show how the game will be played and what it includes. The settings are going to show that the game is an action game by having rough looking areas. For example there is going to be loads of different settings that the player will be able to chose from.
  • 4. Mood Board I like the “Sonic Unleashed” because it’s the same type of game as the one I am going to make. I also like the “Red Dead Redemption 2” as it has most of the things you need to know about the game and decide if you like it or not. I like the “Fifa 19” as it doesn’t have loads of information that could spoil the fun bits about the game but it is still enough to find out what the game is about.
  • 5. Mood Board Analysis Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood • There is loads of games on my Moodboard that share the same colours with others. • There is also many games with the same style such as the “Call of duty black ops 4” and the “Halo 6”. How will your mood board influence your final product? • My Moodboard will influence my final product by
  • 6. Informal Proposal Current Idea Concept I am going to design a game idea and it’s content. the game will be an arcade game based on completing 3 stars on each level. I am going to use Photoshop to design the poster and to make the animation using different frames. I am going to design the different characters and settings that I will include. Type of products you would make The products I am going to make are a Game Poster, Game case cover, characters, settings and an animation based on the game idea. On the back of the case cover I will write a brief description of the game and the information about how to play it and who can play it. I will think about possible logos and slogans for the game as well. What you will need to make them To make the game content I am going to use Photoshop. The game is going to be pixelated so I will change the settings while on Photoshop. I am going to use already existing fonts, characters and settings to help me build my own ideas around them. Audience The audience that my game is going to be aimed at people is people at any age, I have chosen this because the game is going to include some fun parts, suitable for all ages. The game will be aimed at any people who are interested in gaming.
  • 7. Choices Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this project CD + DVD cases I have chosen not to do CD + DVD cases because it doesn’t give me much room for creativity and ideas. I also didn’t chose them because they are simple and I wouldn’t be able to add loads of detail to them. Graphic Novel I didn’t do the graphic novel because it can be to hard and will only give me one certain aspect to focus on. Unlike the advergame which has give me a larger aspect of things like animations and posters.
