• Advantages of working in this medium
The advantages of using Photoshop to design a Coca Cola advert is that your able to
use advanced skills to be creative whilst designing the advert and add more detail with
the many features that Photoshop includes. Another advantage is that Photoshop
allows you to do many more things that other photo-editing software's wouldn't allow
you to do
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
Disadvantages of using this software is that it is a quite advanced so if your new and
not used Photoshop that often then the programme could limit what you can do as
your not able to use the software to its full potential. Another disadvantage of this is
that it might not turn out exactly how you pictured your poster to be

Background
The background for my advert is of
people at a music concert enjoying
themselves and I've chosen to have
it in black and white so the poster is
simple and doesn’t use to many
colours. The back ground also helps
emphases the coca cola bottle and
logo.
Main Logo
The coca cola logo is at the top
of the page as its important
that people know what brand
the poster is advertising and
the red glow that I added helps
the logo stand out more and I
chose to have the glow in red
as red is one of the colours that
coca cola use
Coca cola bottle
The coca cola bottle is in the middle
of the page as this is the product
that we advertising and again I've
used the red glow to emphasise the
coca cola bottle and it make it stand
out which will catches the audience
attention
Slogan
I’ve included the slogan at the
bottom of the page so when
people read it they will think
of coca cola and the slogan
suggests when you open a
drink of coca cola you are
entering a perfect happy
world
Logos
I’ve included the coca cola
logo again so people
remember the brand and
I’ve also included the
Spotify logo to market this
poster at music fans

A change I that I
could make to my
poster next is to
have the slogan
related to music as
it links in more
with the target
audience
Another change I
could make is to
merge the photos
in to each other
I think one of the
strengths of my poster is
the coca cola bottle in
the middle of the page
with the red glow. I think
this is because the coca
cola bottle stands out
and as soon as people
see it they are aware of
the brand due to coca
cola’s brand image
I think this is also a
strength as it has
coca cola logo as
it’s a coca cola
advert and it also
has the Spotify
logo to attract the
music target
audience
Radio Production
• Advantages of working in this medium- An
advantage of in radio is that you can promote your product to a specific target
audience in your region and radio can even reach global audiences. Another
advantage is that the radio is interactive and allows viewers to call in and talk to
the radio station. The radio is also up to date and accessible which allows the
listener to receive up to date news/information from anywhere. The radio
efficiently also allows you to multitask i.e. driving whilst listening to radio , doing
house work whist listening to radio.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium-
Disadvantages of radio would be that it’s only audio for communication and if you
miss something you can’t pause or go back like you can on Sky TV for example.
Another disadvantage is that if your partially death then you can’t listen to the
radio. Another disadvantage Some people might not like the radio so they might
not bother listening to it

Radio Production
Some similarities between our final product and existing products are that it includes
similar sound effects such as the coca cola can opening and the “ahh” at the end of the
advert. We used these as these are common sound effects that coca cola use and when
people hear these sounds they will defiantly know that the advert is by coca cola. Some
differences would be that we have tried to add an element of humour so that it will keep
listeners engaged with the advert so that they wont get bored. Another similarity is that
we have used a similar coca cola styled slogan “a sip of coca cola is a sip of happiness”
Radio Production
The strengths of Coca cola is that it is a well established brand and it has a
great brand image which is a strength because people know what to expect
when they’re buying any Coca Cola product. The brand has a great brand
identity as well which means they’ll have good customer loyalty leading to
repeat purchases which is key to any good successful business
Some weaknesses of Coca Cola is that drinks are their only source of revenue
unlike there main competitor Pepsi who have Walkers/Lays Crisps and other
foods and many different income streams

• Advantages of working in this medium-
advantages of working in this medium is that it is targeted at a different
audience and it will attract the audiences attention because the game is
interactive this is an advantage because it gets the audience/player more
engaged with the game which is good promotion for coca cola as if the
player enjoys the game then they will buy the product
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
Disadvantages of working in this medium is that if the game isn’t that good
then the audience/player might not even try the drink just because they don’t
enjoy the game even though they could possibly love the drink but they will
never know.

Some similarities is that
they both have the
score/point counter on the
both games
Another similarity with the
both games is that they
have clear coca cola
promotion so the audience
can see the video game is
linked with coca cola
A difference Is that the
video game on the right has
a lot more detail and has
more than one character
unlike mine

both of the games have
similar background with the
blue sky with clouds
Both of the games include
coca cola products in them
which is a similarity
between the two games
Video Game Production
The Coca cola text here is a strength as it’s
promoting coca cola and people
immediately know that the game is linked
with coca cola and they will think of the
drink
The coca cola vending machines are also a
strength of this video game because it links
in with coca cola as you can pick up coca
cola from these vending machines
Another strength here is the coca cola
character collecting the coca cola cans
show how determined he is to get a can of
coca cola and this promotes coca cola
because it shows the audience how much
he likes the drink
A weaknesses of the video game is the set
of the game as it is very simple and not to
detailed. If I was to do this again I would
spend more time on making the
background a little bit more detailed
Another change I would make if I was to do
this again would be to make the game a
little bit more advanced and add more
characters in that try and stop the main
character from collecting the coca cola
cans and I would also have different levels
where they get more difficult to complete
each time you complete the current level
Comparison
• Which product do you believe advertises the
product the best? Why?
I believe that the poster advertises the product best because the people that see the posters are
already engaged with their surroundings which means they are more likely to notice the poster.
You can also hang multiple posters in one location so there are more chances of people seeing
the posters and it will also stay in their heads longer if they keep seeing the posters . You can put
posters anywhere and they can be seen by anyone and you can locate them so a specific market
sector
• Which of your products is the most
professional? Why?
Out of all my products I think the poster is the most professional products because It follows
conventions that coca cola would include in their other posters that they design themselves. The
poster also looks the most professional out of all the products that I have made

Graphic Design Production • Advantages of working in this medium The advantages of using Photoshop to design a Coca Cola advert is that your able to use advanced skills to be creative whilst designing the advert and add more detail with the many features that Photoshop includes. Another advantage is that Photoshop allows you to do many more things that other photo-editing software's wouldn't allow you to do • Disadvantages of working in this medium Disadvantages of using this software is that it is a quite advanced so if your new and not used Photoshop that often then the programme could limit what you can do as your not able to use the software to its full potential. Another disadvantage of this is that it might not turn out exactly how you pictured your poster to be

Graphic Design Production Background The background for my advert is of people at a music concert enjoying themselves and I've chosen to have it in black and white so the poster is simple and doesn’t use to many colours. The back ground also helps emphases the coca cola bottle and logo. Main Logo The coca cola logo is at the top of the page as its important that people know what brand the poster is advertising and the red glow that I added helps the logo stand out more and I chose to have the glow in red as red is one of the colours that coca cola use Coca cola bottle The coca cola bottle is in the middle of the page as this is the product that we advertising and again I've used the red glow to emphasise the coca cola bottle and it make it stand out which will catches the audience attention Slogan I’ve included the slogan at the bottom of the page so when people read it they will think of coca cola and the slogan suggests when you open a drink of coca cola you are entering a perfect happy world Logos I’ve included the coca cola logo again so people remember the brand and I’ve also included the Spotify logo to market this poster at music fans

Graphic Design Production A change I that I could make to my poster next is to have the slogan related to music as it links in more with the target audience Another change I could make is to merge the photos in to each other I think one of the strengths of my poster is the coca cola bottle in the middle of the page with the red glow. I think this is because the coca cola bottle stands out and as soon as people see it they are aware of the brand due to coca cola’s brand image I think this is also a strength as it has coca cola logo as it’s a coca cola advert and it also has the Spotify logo to attract the music target audience

Radio Production • Advantages of working in this medium- An advantage of in radio is that you can promote your product to a specific target audience in your region and radio can even reach global audiences. Another advantage is that the radio is interactive and allows viewers to call in and talk to the radio station. The radio is also up to date and accessible which allows the listener to receive up to date news/information from anywhere. The radio efficiently also allows you to multitask i.e. driving whilst listening to radio , doing house work whist listening to radio. • Disadvantages of working in this medium- Disadvantages of radio would be that it’s only audio for communication and if you miss something you can’t pause or go back like you can on Sky TV for example. Another disadvantage is that if your partially death then you can’t listen to the radio. Another disadvantage Some people might not like the radio so they might not bother listening to it

Radio Production Some similarities between our final product and existing products are that it includes similar sound effects such as the coca cola can opening and the “ahh” at the end of the advert. We used these as these are common sound effects that coca cola use and when people hear these sounds they will defiantly know that the advert is by coca cola. Some differences would be that we have tried to add an element of humour so that it will keep listeners engaged with the advert so that they wont get bored. Another similarity is that we have used a similar coca cola styled slogan “a sip of coca cola is a sip of happiness”

Radio Production The strengths of Coca cola is that it is a well established brand and it has a great brand image which is a strength because people know what to expect when they’re buying any Coca Cola product. The brand has a great brand identity as well which means they’ll have good customer loyalty leading to repeat purchases which is key to any good successful business Some weaknesses of Coca Cola is that drinks are their only source of revenue unlike there main competitor Pepsi who have Walkers/Lays Crisps and other foods and many different income streams

Video Game Production • Advantages of working in this medium- advantages of working in this medium is that it is targeted at a different audience and it will attract the audiences attention because the game is interactive this is an advantage because it gets the audience/player more engaged with the game which is good promotion for coca cola as if the player enjoys the game then they will buy the product • Disadvantages of working in this medium Disadvantages of working in this medium is that if the game isn’t that good then the audience/player might not even try the drink just because they don’t enjoy the game even though they could possibly love the drink but they will never know.

Video Game Production Some similarities is that they both have the score/point counter on the both games Another similarity with the both games is that they have clear coca cola promotion so the audience can see the video game is linked with coca cola A difference Is that the video game on the right has a lot more detail and has more than one character unlike mine Another similarity is that both of the games have similar background with the blue sky with clouds Both of the games include coca cola products in them which is a similarity between the two games

Video Game Production The Coca cola text here is a strength as it’s promoting coca cola and people immediately know that the game is linked with coca cola and they will think of the drink The coca cola vending machines are also a strength of this video game because it links in with coca cola as you can pick up coca cola from these vending machines Another strength here is the coca cola character collecting the coca cola cans show how determined he is to get a can of coca cola and this promotes coca cola because it shows the audience how much he likes the drink A weaknesses of the video game is the set of the game as it is very simple and not to detailed. If I was to do this again I would spend more time on making the background a little bit more detailed Another change I would make if I was to do this again would be to make the game a little bit more advanced and add more characters in that try and stop the main character from collecting the coca cola cans and I would also have different levels where they get more difficult to complete each time you complete the current level
  • 14. Comparison • Which product do you believe advertises the product the best? Why? I believe that the poster advertises the product best because the people that see the posters are already engaged with their surroundings which means they are more likely to notice the poster. You can also hang multiple posters in one location so there are more chances of people seeing the posters and it will also stay in their heads longer if they keep seeing the posters . You can put posters anywhere and they can be seen by anyone and you can locate them so a specific market sector • Which of your products is the most professional? Why? Out of all my products I think the poster is the most professional products because It follows conventions that coca cola would include in their other posters that they design themselves. The poster also looks the most professional out of all the products that I have made
