3. Graphic Design Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
– You learn your way around photo shop picking up
new techniques and tools you can use for current
and future projects
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
– Photoshop takes a while to get a hang of properly
and you don’t always know how to change
something you want.
4. Graphic Design Production
The main 3 coca
cola flavours/types
are advertised in
both
Both have the
classic coca cola
logo standing out
on the page
Both posters have a split
layout with two block images
in the background
Mainly red colour
scheme, traditional
for Coca Cola as it
gives them brand
recognitionEach design shows a
slogan, they a
different because
coca cola change
their slogan in each
campaign they do
5. Graphic Design Production
A predominant logo
in centre page tells
you what company
is advertising the
product at a first
look, it also helps
you remember the
brand as it’s the first
thing on the poster
you see.
Green, red and
yellow colour
scheme fits with
the coca cola
brand. With Cola
red included (the
company signature
colour) it increases
brand recognition.
To improve it I would
have the background
as one picture or have
a fade between the
two images so they
appear as one and
have a more
professional look to it.
The three main
verities of coke
in the centre
page show
what products
are being
advertised
straight away
6. Radio Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
– You get to play around with Adobe Premiere Pro
CC 2018 and familiarise yourself with the tools on
adobe broadening your skill set.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
₋ If you don’t know the programme well it can be
difficult and time consuming to edit using Adobe,
simple things can take a lot of time when you
don’t know how to do them.
7. Radio Production
The ad I created was simple short and to the point. It
consisted of popular dance song Panic room – Au/Ra Ft
Camelphat and a cut out of someone offering another
person a can of coke, which the person then opens.
After that the music intensifies again and it is the end
of the advertisement, it is short and simple but it hits
its target audience and advertises the product clearly.
This existing advertisement shows some similarities to
mine as the music is an upbeat pop song and there isn’t
very much speaking/ if any, the adverts differences
however are that it doesn’t actually name coke once in
the advert nor does it encourage you to buy or even drink
coca cola.
8. Radio Production
• To make my radio advertisement better I would
probably have a longer voiceover with abit more
detail about the product, I would tune and use
the microphone correctly so that the audio isn’t
fussy and have some terms and conditions at the
end; maybe a jingle.
• Weaknesses of my radio advert are that it is
quite basic and variably short, it has little speech
in it which could be improved by creating a longer
dialogue between the people featured. I would
also include the signature Coca Cola jingle and
blend it into the end of the ad with the music.
10. Video Game Production
• Advantages of working in this medium
– Advantages of working in this medium are that you
get a better, more developed understanding of photo
shop. You also learn how to animate in photo shop
which will come in handy in the future.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium
– Disadvantages of working in this medium are that it
takes a while to get a good grasp of photo shop which
can mean asking a lot of questions and it can take
time to do something that would otherwise take a
small amount of time.
11. Video Game Production
Both games
show many
similarities,
with the basic
concept of the
game being the
same and the
purpose of
both games
being that they
are promoting
coca cola’s
products and
the brand on a
whole.
The aim in both
games are to
collect coke
bottles/cans as
you go through
the game, with
ledges to jump on
and obstacles to
avoid.
Both show the coca cola brand logo
giving good company representation.
This also makes it clear what the game
is advertising.
The existing product is shown
here within popular social media
app snapchat, snapchat is
primarily used by teenagers and
young adults which makes up a
majority of coca colas target
market.
Each game seems to be fairly
simple with aim in both games
being to collect the coke cans, this
means they’re very similar and
almost the same apart from
graphics and platform.
12. Video Game Production
To develop the product more I would include
more animations within the game; such as the
coke cans moving up and down, the waterfall
moving, some kind of logo animation to focus
I would add
more scenes
and develop the
game to have
more depth to
it. I would do
this by creating
different
settings with
different
obstacles and
animations
making the
game harder
and furthering
production.
A weakness of this adver-
game is that it is very simple
and easy to complete, which
may lead people to think it is
boring or unentertaining.
A strength of
the advergame
is that it is clear
what it is
promoting and
what the
purpose of the
game is. You
can see this
from the logo
centre page
and the coca
cola cans
shown as
rewards.
13. Comparison
• Which product do you believe advertises the product
the best? Why?
I think that my radio advert advertises the product best as it
has a broader range across different platforms meaning a higher
percentage of people would listen to it reaching a higher target
audience, it also is more engaging as it has certain elements
people can relate to.
• Which of your products is the most professional? Why?
I think my poster is the most professional as it looks well
composed and designed, it advertises coca cola clearly and
shows particular products advertised whereas my radio
advert and advergame only advertise coca cola generally. It
also has a clean and professional finish with particular
components showing reference to the target audience.
