Act 1 Of Hamlet
In Act I of Hamlet, by Shakespeare, we are introduced to a lot of important characters. In Act I Scene
I, there are four characters introduced: Bernardo, Francisco, Horatio, and Marcellus. In this scene,
Marcellus and Bernardo, two soldiers, witness a ghost in the castle and bring the attention to Horatio,
a friend of Hamlet who is the Prince of Denmark. They come to an assumption that the ghost is the
former king who died 2 months ago, which is Hamlet s father. They try to get the ghost to speak but it
just comes and goes. In Scene II, Claudius, Hamlet s uncle, is the new king of Denmark. Not only is
Hamlet still mourning about his father s death, but now has to deal with the fact that his mother is now
married to his uncle. After Horatio

Rhetoric Of Malcolm X
Malcolm X s upbringing was one of extreme struggle and violence, as such it is unsurprising that
when he got older and involved with racial politics he took a more extreme approach. Whilst Martin
Luther King and other civil rights leaders were expunging the importance of equality and becoming a
racially integrated society Malcolm X was loudly calling for self imposed segregation of African
Americans. Joining the nation of Islam helped to define and shape Malcolm X s philosophy of race
and until his eventual Hajj to Mecca he remained furiously racist towards white people. Malcolm X
was despite his unique character simply the voice of an oppressed and angry group of people in
America with the Nation of Islam being a huge voice in the civil rights era. Martin luther King s
approach of nonviolent protest was put into perspective by Malcolm X s fiery rhetoric and perhaps
even helped to give more power to Kings push for concrete racial policy change.
Malcolm X is well known to be the outspoken alternative to Kings talk of peace and integration,
however, despite this it is known that he had a real feeling of respect towards him. Malcolm X
represented the African Americans who were at the bottom rungs of society, those that were poor and
angry at the generations of oppression they had been forced to endure. In his autobiography he
describes in detail the nature of a system that oppressed black Americans on a massive scale. Martin
Luther King always had a much bigger following than

India is an agricultural country. Seventy percent of its people live in villages. One third of our
National income comes from agriculture. Our economy is based on agriculture. The development of
agriculture has much to do with the economic welfare of our country. Agricultural market is
continuously increasing for the past couple of decades in India as the technology is developing. The
continues increasing demand of food products has resulted in the increased demand of food grains and
thus has increased the use of farm machinery in rural areas. India is seeing the movement of labour
from rural to urban areas which with the demand of increasing production efficiency in food product is
the evidence that there is a future for farm mechanization in India. Make in India is an initiative of the
Government of India, to encourage companies to manufacture their products in India. Companies like
John Deere, New Holland, Mahindra Rise, TAFE have started increasing their operations in India. It is
very clear that the Western model of agriculture can t support our Indian agriculture like heavy
mechanized, less labor oriented, chemical based, high input agriculture. Three quarters of the world s

Common Childhood Diseases Essay
Common Childhood Diseases
1.1 Introduction
Children are more prone to diseases. They catch disease easily and recover fast too. You must learn to
protect your children from diseases and also from many other problems which can be prevented, if
you care a little.
In this lesson, you will learn about some diseases which are more likely to affect a child in the first
few years of life.
1.2 Objectives explain the importance of immunisation for children; give the immunisation schedule
for children; group some common childhood diseases as
a) those against which a child can be immunised
b) those which occur repeatedly, but are not severe; explain the causes, symptoms and prevention of
common diseases; take care of a sick ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Vaccines are also available for Hepatitis B and typhoid and can be given depending upon the
availability of the vaccine and ability of the person to pay.
As you can see, immunisation for certain diseases is given in more than one dose, spread over a few
months. Each one of these doses is essential for complete protection. The second dose is called the
booster dose . Remember, if at any stage you miss out on even one dose, the immunisation will not be
effective and will have to be started all over again.
Immediately after the child has been immunised, you may find that the child has mild fever. However,
there is no reason to worry as the fever will not last longer than a day or two.

Tort Court Issues
Internet use has become more popular in the last two decades, while in the 80 and 90 s the common
communication channels were phone and fax, electronic email has become the norm in the new
century; computers and internet use have become ordinary commodities at the workplace. Common
knowledge and internet etiquette (netiquette) teach us essential rules of proper behavior for internet
use. It is imperative that we understand that in the business world, netiquette must go beyond simple
rules of common sense and courtesy, and most companies rely on established policies and internal
controls to assure that employees understand the importance of following ethical and legal guidelines
when using the internet. These policies are also important ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a tort civil suit, compensatory and punitive damage amounts are awarded in favor of the plaintiff;
some conditions need to exist for a tort to be ruled in favor of a plaintiff. Contrary to a criminal trial, if
the defendant is found guilty, he/she only needs to pay the ordered compensatory damages to the
plaintiff, without the need to spend time incarcerated. There are intentional torts, and torts cause by
negligence. The intention here is to enlighten you and your employees of the possible consequences of
certain internet usage. There are a number of situations that can bring down a tort civil suit on an
employer; among them is sexual harassment, which has become a common phenomenon of the
internet as read in this excerpt, Sexual Harassment is the use of sexualized intimidation, insult, and
threat to exert control over women. On the Internet, such behavior is more common and more
outrageous than in the physical world because of the anonymity of the communications medium and
the disproportionate number of men using it (Waerner, 2016). Another cause for torts is dissemination
of confidential information; an employee(s) disclosing confidential information pertaining clients
through the use of technology, can put an employer a risk for a tort suit. An important thing to
remember is that nowadays, most files can be sent electronically, and downloads are enabled with just
a click of couple of keys, special care need s to be taken to avoid malware or toher risk associated with
viistng at risks sites. Another tort can be for intentional infliction of emotional distress on someone by
a person who exhibited severe and outrageous behavior intentionally (Legal Information Institute,
2016). This can be done through the internet in the form of harassment and cyberspace bullying, a
common issue in social media. Trespass can bring up a

I. INTRODUCTION
Smart Farming provides technological solutions to the agri cultural businesses as well as to the
farmers. It has many applications in precision farming, weather forecasting, quality control, data
analyses and collection, etc. With reference to that, crop disease detection is the subset of smart
farming. Crop disease detection plays an integral role in the de velopment of the crops. In present era,
the approach used for detection by farmers is through naked eye. It requires continuous observation
and monitoring which results into loss of time and it is expensive. In some regions, farmers need to go
various places to take guidance from the experts. Henceforth, automatic prediction of various diseases
on the crop will provide real time benefits to the farmers that will save time, money, and life of the
crop. To tackle the increasing inconvenience caused to farmers, a machine learning model, which can
predict occurrence of cotton crop disease based on the temperature in the real environment and from
the soil moisture temperature is proposed in this paper. Here we are considering 3 major cotton
diseases of which 2 are evaluated, Anthracnose [Fig 1.1], Areolate or Greymildew [Fig 1.2], Wilt [Fig.

Analysis of the Absorption of Green Light Versus Red...
Analysis of the Absorption of Green Light Versus Red Light Absorption in Spinach Leaves
The goal of the experiment was to determine if green light had less ability to absorb than red light in
spinach leaves. This was done by separating the photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll
b, carotene and xanthophylls) from one another using paper chromatography. The separated pigments
were then analyzed for their absorption spectrum using a spectrographometer. When the data was
graphed it clearly showed the higher rate of red light absorption over green light. These results along
with previous research indicate the importance of red light in photosynthesis and the minor role green
light plays.

These wavelengths correspond to the wavelengths of visible light. Overall blue and red light works
best, while green in least effective in the photosynthesis process (Nishio, 2000). The wavelengths that
a pigment absorbs, absorption spectra, are determined using a spectrophotometer. In order to obtain
the photosynthetic pigment s absorption spectra the pigments are separated using paper
chromatography. Paper chromatography is an analytical technique that separates a mixture based on
the individual pigment s size, polarity and solubility (Lewis, 2004). The separation of the mixtures
involves a stationary phase (the chromatography paper), which a mobile phase (solvent) moves up
through. When the mixtures is applied to the paper and allowed to flow with the mobile phase, the
different pigments move at different rates (Campbell, 1996). This means the pigments that absorb the
strongest to the stationary phase (the chromatography paper) will move the slowest, while the weakest
will move the fastest. The rate of the pigments movement will separate each pigment individually
from the mixture (Maitland, 2002). This natural separation shows that each pigment is chemically
different and plays different roles in photosynthesis (Maitland, 2002). To analyze the separated
pigments a spectrophotometer is used to obtain an absorbance spectrum. This spectrum is a graph that
shows a pigment s light absorption versus wavelengths

Media Portrayal Of Violence In The Media
The risk of developing aggressive behavior is high among children who were raised in a negative
environment such as social and economic factors play a huge role. The primary place a children is in
is at home. Poverty has a significant impact on a child s social behavior these children that are raised
in poor environments have a higher risk of behavior problems. Impoverished communities have a
wide range of people living there not all the people in that neighborhood may have the same parenting
styles or teach their child to behave. Children in impoverished neighborhoods can often play with
other kids outdoors and since other children may not be raised to behave well they will bring that
behavior in their homes and begin to use it. Potential behavior that can arise from other children who
do not behave can lead to not respecting others, anger, and violence.
The media has been linked to aggressive behavior in children. The outcome of media portrayal of
violence can have lasting effects such as children can be begin to feel less sensitive to the pain and
suffering of others. Sometimes watching violence can even be enjoyable because of how the media
plays it out to be. It may be funny or no consequences or punishment to violent act committed.
Violence seems to be everywhere, on television, news, video games and especially movies this creates
a distorted view of what reality truly is. Children that watch violence on television will at some point
imitate those aggressive acts

How Did Hitler Have Blind Faith
After the Great war the allies congregated in France to sign the treaty of Versailles. The treaty stated
that the Germans were to blame for the war and had to pay for all of the damages. The German people

desperation, a man rose up from the shadows and started to talk about how he would make their

Personal Statement Of Purpose Of Biology And Science
Mark Twain once said: The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day
you find out why. This quotation sums up that everybody should have a purpose in their life. My
purpose is to become a person who will develop and cut up a positive trace in science.
I am looking forward to studying biology and sociology. The human body is very fascinated, and it is
amazing that every atom is important in order to move the body. I took biology as one of my subjects
in International Baccalaureate. We worked with sections of frogs and fishes. I enjoyed doing it and I

Convocation started with some formalities such as the Moment of Silence and the National Anthem.
To be completely honest with you, I did not know what was going to happen next. Was this going to
be beneficial? Or was I going to sit through something completely bored? The President of Cleveland
State, Bill Seymour, stood to talk to the student body. He began to explain to us what exactly

others that spoke during Convocation seemed to share the same goals. Justin Deal really connected
with the students very well. His words solidified what I was think big college, but small world.
Sinthea Reynolds spoke about how learning is a long process. We should always be learning everyday.
He told the students that the biggest thing that the faculty and staff could teach us is the ability to
teach ourselves. Ryan Thompson welcomed us by recognizing that we could have gone anywhere.
This really hit home for me. I was accepted to both Lee and Tennessee Wesleyan before deciding that
Cleveland State was where I belonged. I really decided to become a Cleveland State student, because

The Ethics Of Business Management Essay
Prior to my interview with Dr. Lisa Calvano, I did not have the impression that research was involved
in any part of business management. After meeting with her, I learned exactly how important research
is to the business management discipline. Research in business management is a systematic
investigation that helps to answer complications and problems within businesses. Research in the field
contributes to solid management understanding and knowledge. Information from research is usually
produced by classical methods: statistical data and analysis, interview data, and survey data (i.e., stock
prices). Researchers, especially in business management must be careful to declare their research
findings as credible. Research in business management abides by ethical thinking. Researchers
evaluate their data properly and need to recognize that specified data may be confidential. Most data
that management researchers find is private and it is intended to be kept that way. When researchers
question the ethics behind their research, they look to an Institutional Review Board (IRB) and
occasionally The Code of Ethics . The IRB is a council that was instituted to review and authorize any
and all research engaging humans. The purpose of the committee is to protect human subject research
and to ensure it is regulated according to federal, institutional and ethical guidelines. The Code of
Ethics , also known as the Code of Conduct , is a basis that outlines how professionals are

Creationism Isn t Science but Belongs in Schools
The origin of life has been a point of discussion for as long as history has been documented. Ancient
Egyptians believed that the sun god Ra took another form, created land from a watery abyss and
created everything, including gods and humans. The Iroquois, a tribe of Native Americans, told a story
of god to human lineage that resulted in twins, one being evil and one being good. The good twin
creates a picture perfect world. The evil twin reverses the good twin s actions by making things more
complex and difficult for humans. Christians and Jews believe that God, their only god, created the

He states that the inclusion of creationism would be a startling blow to the fabric of science education.
He goes on to say that the general understanding science students should have is that people can
confront the universe and learn about it directly through scientific testing (520). The theory of
creationism can not be tested using the earth and universe directly, and because of this Eldredge feels
that it would be detrimental to students general understanding of science.
Creationism Isn t Science is the title of this essay and it explains the ideas of this essay in one
sentence; the author, however, takes approximately six pages to reiterate this idea. Eldredge s main
point is simply that creationism isn t a science and evolution is a vital theory in the field of science.
The idea is basic; the theory of evolution is based in science and therefore is to be taught in a science
curriculum. Evolution is the theory that there is one basic scheme of similarities interlocking all of
life. This theory is usually studied in biological fields but is useful in a number of other scientific
fields. By explaining the uses of evolution in some scientific fields, Eldredge makes the point

Compare And Contrast Rainforests And Mangroves
Rainforests and Mangroves hold very vital roles in our ecosystems, in which this essay is comparing
the two. Mangroves cultural significance towards Brisbane are strongly linked to the Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander communities of Australia. They have provided food, shelter, medicine and many
other resources to the land owners for over 40,000 years. They are also important to Brisbane s natural
environment because they are immensely productive ecosystems in which they provide various
resources and services, for instance they protect shorelines from erosion. Brisbane rainforests hold
significant cultural value, alike to that of the mangroves, to the Aborigines, in which they ve supply
medicine and vast amounts of foods. Rainforests are a vital stabilizer for the Earth s climate, along
with maintaining the water cycles.
Biotic factors are found in every ecosystem, interacting together to survive. Herons (or the common
egret) inhabit mangrove swamps, and are found in most parts of the world. They can usually be found
by mangrove tree roots, feeding mainly on frogs, fish, small mammals and occasionally small insects

Political Changes Of The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution that happened in England, 1760, was the transition from a rural, agrarian
society into urban, industrial societies due to the improvements in science, technology, society and
culture which affected the political, economic and social status of the country. Although the change
was termed The Industrial Revolution due to the significant changes that occurred, debate rages on
about how it was also an Industrial Evolution because the changes that led to the transition to the
urban society we know and now live in today can also be classified as evolutions in their own rights.
One major political change of the industrial revolution were the laws that were created during the time
to abolish child labour. Back in the early stages of the industrial revolution, children were used as
labourers, because of their size and nimble fingers which allowed them to manoeuvre around and
work in small spaces in factories and mines where adults couldn t reach. They were paid less than
adults, worked for long hours (12 14 hours per day) with terrible conditions and little rest and abused

3) War memorial is a commemorative object, something intended to remind us of the people who have
served and died in and because of war. People may argue over which is the best form for a war
memorial, and whether war memorials should serve the further purpose of contributing to the
prevention of future wars. They may debate a particular memorial s artistic merit, its cost or its
location. However, common to all war memorials remains the intention that they serve as a reminder
to us of those we have lost to war.
4) I think Yad Vashem is the most effective and touching memorial. The displays are moving and
empowering. The Avenue of the Righteous reminds the world that there is always a faithful remnant of
good people and that because there were so few, we need to do more to vouch safe the world. The

two organisations. I will be talking about the techniques, role and objectives of the two products that I

Samsung have different survival strategies. Survival strategies means when the sales of a product
decrease in a business, and the business is trying to keep them up. Most of Samsungs products have
been developed to be more high tech than their competitors. This gives them an advantage as they will
get more sales than anyone else in that industry. The Samsung Galaxy s3 had been developed from the
Samsung Galaxy s2 and has been created to be easier to use and more enjoyable for the customer.
Apple tried banning Samsung from releasing their Samsung galaxy s3 because Apple think Samsung
have used some of their software for their products. A business would need survival strategies if sales
for their products have gone down and they want to make as much money of the product before it goes
bust. Samsung reported an 82% jump in profits over the first quarter of last year, while revenue
climbed 22%.
Branding in a business is important as it shows the reputation of the business. The importance in the

are responsible factor for the sales of any products or services, so when a new product is being

The Characters Of Moses In The Old Testament
The Old Testament in the bible is a very outstanding it has different amounts of books that

throughout the bible. It has 39 marvelous books in the bible, that tell different stories about important
people and how they change the world that we live in today. If I had to pick on a character I would
have to pick Moses. Moses, he is a character in the Old Testament and a prophet that was picked to
lead Israel out of Egyptian slavery, and delivered the Ten Commandments. Moses was born 1400 BC
in New Kingdom of Egypt, he is the son of Amram and Yochebed, and had siblings named Miriam
and Aaron. Moses had a lot of strengths in the Old Testament he guided people to battle against Egypt,

Implementing The Universal Protocol Procedure
In 2003, as an outcome of all the sentinel events reported to the Joint commission lead to the creation
of the The Universal protocol for preventing wrong site, wrong procedures, and wrong person surgery
(Mulloy Hughes 2008). So, one of the ways that could have potentially prevented the situation from
happening at the first place was implementing the universal protocol procedure. According to the
protocol the conduction of proper pre as well as post operating procedures are extremely mandatory.
Therefore, by enforcing a standardized routine pre operating procedure such as verifying the patient as
well as the correct site for the procedure, by having the medical staff or preferably the physician
marking the operating site with his or her initials before the surgery will be an effective preventive
measure (Mulloy Hughes 2008). Also, by properly conducting a time out session where the patient is
provided with a standardized briefing prior to the patient is sedated in the OR could also eliminate
some the sentinel or adverse events in the OR. Furthermore, follow a checklist, which not only
pertains to the surgery itself, but also focuses on the other procedures involved such as admissions,
anesthesia equipment, and discharge (Mulloy Hughes 2008). Using Technology to Improve Patient
Safety Another effective measure that could have potentially helped to avoid the situation at the first
place was implementation of technology for instance having a Electronic Medical

Examples of Business Law and Ethics in the Buffalo Creek...
Logan County, West Virginia is home to a small area called the Buffalo Creek Hallow. Numerous
towns sprang up over years in this coal rich creek since the boom of the mining industry. The year
1970 saw the most prosperous year for coal, the increased demand attracted new mining companies to
set up shop at Buffalo Creek however a flood during a cold winter morning in 1972 changed the lives
of the residents forever.
The coal mining history of Buffalo Creek can be traced back all the way to 1940s. At that time,
Lorado Coal Mining Company opened Mine No.5 at the almost the top of the Buffalo hallow. The
dumping of sludge from this mine was happening at the mouth of the middle fork. It functioned just
like a dam and was viewed like one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just after Dam No. 3 started to show symptoms of collapsing, the Pittson Company sent a bulldozer to
dig a drainage pitch in an attempt to alleviate some pressure.
At 7:45 AM, as the men were doing repair work, water started to flow down the valley. Multiple lives
could potentially have been saved if residents of the Buffalo Hallow were informed of the potential
disaster and magnitude of its occurrence. The Pittston Coal Company ignored warnings from all major
government departments like the mining bureau, the National Guard, the State Police, and even the
local sheriff s office. At 7:59 AM, the dam officially collapsed and lead to major blasts as boiling
yellow suffer coal deposits came in contact with rushing water from the stream. At 8:01 AM, a huge
outburst of 130 million gallons of water stream swept away the whole Buffalo Creek and drifted along
all the coal manufacturing waste with it. This tragedy claimed 123 lives, injured 1000 and also left
4000 people homeless. Alongside these statistics, the disaster left countless scars on the survivors and
the citizens of West Virginia. In an attempt to absolve The Pittson Coal Company from any legal
responsibility, company officials insisted the flood was an act of God . They argued that there

Tiananmen Research Paper
After few days later, October 1st will be China s 68th birthday. There are going to be a magnificent
celebration ceremony at Tian An Men square. In 1949, Chairman Mao boarded the gate tower of
Tiananmen and then announced to the world in his native mandarin that new China was founded after
the Chinese people won a peaceful and stable country after decades of fighting. In the meantime, we
have the awakening of our own consciousness and the struggle between different ideologies of
traditional culture. The martyr s resistance with all cost is to live with dignity and for the sake of their

I have a different opinion since it represents different symbols at different times. Over the past 100
years, Tiananmen square has been reshaped, reshaped and expanded. It reflects the political changes of
a country. In the beginning of the history, Tiananmen, which primitive name is ChengTian Gate, was
not only the main gate of the Qing and Ming dynasties, but also the important place for the great
celebrations and the national decree, and the majesty of the emperor. On February 12, 1912, on the
tiananmen gate, the emperor announced his decision to abdicate. In May 1914, Beiyang government
launched a plan to transform the old capital city. The first steps was to remove thousand steps corridor
so that tiananmen square could turn the enclosed palace square into an open space for freedom of
passage and sojourn. The original majesty and mysterious imperial power were dissolved. Few years
later, because of dissatisfaction with the Beiyang government at the end of the first world war
diplomatic failure on the Paris peace conference , on May 4, 1919, thousands of students gathered near
Tiananmen square, took out the slogan for sovereign externally to punish kleptocratic , to force the
government to respond. Since then, the demonstrations have become the most common thing in

Charismatic Gifts Debate Essay
Charismatic Gifts Debate By Mark Jones Theo 350 B05 September 26, 2010 1 The Charismatic Gifts
Debate For my research paper I choose the charismatic gifts debate because coming from a
Pentecostal/Charismatic background growing up in church, I know a little about the gift. With
growing up in a Charismatic church, I saw the gifts in action. There is a lot of debate on whether the
gift is relevant for today or have they ceased from the church. One side says that the gifts are in the
past and is not relevant for the day that we live in and another side says that the gifts are still relevant
for today. There is one group that says that if you do speak in tongues, then you are under demonic
control and are not really saved. Both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Again we need to look at how the Bible uses these words. In John 17:3 it says that This is eternal life
that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. (New American
Standard Bible, 1995 revised). In that verse it talks about how having eternal life is to also knowing
God. Also only the believer is known by Jesus (John 10:27; Gal. 4:8 9; Romans 8:29). The unbeliever
is not known by Jesus (Matt. 7:21 23). In every verse except for one, God says that he knows only the
believers. Knowing this is a kind of salvation knowing, it is a kind of knowing that God gives to the
Christians. He knows them and knows that they are saved. The unbelievers are not known and
therefore are not saved. It would seem to be consistent with scripture to say that ...as I m fully known
would refer to salvation relationship between the Christians and Jesus Christ. When the return of
Christ comes, we as Christians will see him face to face. Another argument is that present day tongues
are further revelation and then must be equal to scripture and ought to be included into the Bible. But
since the Bible has nothing to add to it, the gift of tongues must no longer be valid. The problem with
this argument is that faulty because recognizes revelation that cannot be added into the Bible. 1 Cor.
14:26 talks about the church in Corinth were revelations were revealed that were not included in the
Bible. In this verse it

Analysis Of The Poem Twenty One Love Poems By Adrienne...
Adrienne Rich was a highly acclaimed twentieth century poet who railed against war and the
injustices in the world, and also used imagery that spoke tenderly of love feelings that she sensed were
both highly individual for her, but also universal. Twenty One Love Poems were written between 1974
1976 to her lover of the time, and they track the course of the relationship through the sweet beginning
stages, the development of mature love, and all the way through to its dissolution due to her partner s
seeming inability to come out and admit to her homosexuality at a time in society when relationships
between women were not endorsed or supported. The language in these poems is very rich and weaves
both ugly city imagery and elegant metaphors and similes together, with the apparent intention of
making the reader search inside to see if the images and ideas conveyed by the language can be
applied to the reader s own experience of living too. While these poems are highly individualistic and
at times very personal, this impressive and moving body of poetic accomplishment also reflects
themes to which all human beings can relate. In an interview with Kate Waldman in The Paris Review,
Rich herself states that:
As long as I can remember I have cared about the timbre, the phrasing of a poetic line. Ever since
Snapshots, I ve worked close to the pull and release of voices... The voices may be individual, but they
re searching for a shared moral reality. This

Essay on The Artwork of Henry Matisse
Matisse once said, A good art work should be like an arm chair in which you could relax at the end of
the day . This statement of Matisse s indicates that artist s artwork should be an art of balance, of
purity and tranquillity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter. An art which is created for
everyone in society and that is like a pacifying influence, something like a good arm chair in which
you could rest from physical fatigue. Moreover, his paintings are about imagination, dreams and about
the nature itself. Matisse s Fauvist paintings Large Red interior and Open Window Collioure are great
examples of Matisse s attitude and response to the world around him. The artworks reflect the theories
of Fauvists, revealing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The division of the canvas into patches of pure unmixed, warm and strident colour positioned in
powerful contrasts with each other, translating the emotions of Matisse. This creates a balance in the
artwork by applying equilibrium of colours on both of the sides of the canvas. Primitively, this was the
way of Fauvists expressing their emotions, through the use of vibrant colours and compositions. In
this way we can see that Matisse artwork is an art of balance which avoids the depressing subject
matter. Henri Matisse further explores the Fauvists ideas in his art work, through the use of the lines
and shapes. The lines and shapes play a significant role in the work and the lines work together to
establish balance. The balance of lines and shapes is achieved through the geometric and organic
shapes. The painting Open window, Collioure is typically simplified into shapes and forms whose
details are conveyed by untouched brush strokes of roughly the same size. This creates an overall
harmony that is unexpected in a composition of such incompatible and dramatic complementary
colours. Furthermore, the key to his success in using such intense colours was the realization that he
had to simplify his drawing. Matisse was aware that if he intensified the colours for the expressive
effect, it would be necessary to reduce the amount of detail used in drawing shapes and lines of the
objects. Moreover, by applying the same type of

Adrenal Gland Essay
Adrenal gland
In mammals, the adrenal glands (also known as suprarenal glands) are the triangular shaped endocrine
glands that sit on top of the kidneys. They are chiefly responsible for releasing hormones in
conjunction with stress through the synthesis of corticosteroids and catecholamines, including cortisol
and adrenaline (epinephrine), respectively.
Anatomy and function
Anatomically, the adrenal glands are located in the retroperitoneum situated atop the kidneys, one on
each side. They are surrounded by an adipose capsule and renal fascia. In humans, the adrenal glands
are found at the level of the 12th thoracic vertebra. Each adrenal gland is separated into two distinct
structures, the adrenal cortex and medulla, both of which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The adrenal glands and the thyroid gland are the organs that have the greatest blood supply per gram
of tissue. Up to 60 arterioles may enter each adrenal gland.[4]
Terminology
The adrenal glands are named for their location relative to the kidneys. The term adrenal comes from
ad (Latin, near ) and renes (Latin, kidney ). Similarly, suprarenal is derived from supra (Latin, above )
and renes. Colloquially, they are referred to as kidney hats .
Adrenal cortex
Situated along the perimeter of the adrenal gland, the adrenal cortex mediates the stress response
through the production of mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids, including aldosterone and cortisol

Theory October 19, 2014 Leadership Theory Paper According to Sullivan (2013), leadership is
influencing others into working toward accomplishing a common goal (pg. 42). Certain individuals
have natural leadership qualities. Other individuals need to learn leadership skills. It takes a specific
personality type to make a leader. The purpose of this paper is to identify my personality type through
the Myers Briggs test, discuss the leadership style of Gandhi and his similarities to my style in relation
to nursing. Assessment Inventory The Myers Briggs test was developed from Carl Jungs theory of
personality types by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother Katherine Briggs (Myers, I. B. 2000, pg 6).
In order to determine an individual s type of personality this test was created with specific questions
on how information is processed. This test determines whether and individual directs their energy in
an introverted or extroverted way. Briggs Myers tests our life organization through perception and
judging and also how information is processed through our intuition and sensing. This test is said to
provide a powerful framework for building better relationships, driving positive change, harnessing
innovation, and achieving excellence . (Myers, I. B. 2000, pg 2). Upon taking the test I achieved a

  • 3. Rhetoric Of Malcolm X Malcolm X s upbringing was one of extreme struggle and violence, as such it is unsurprising that when he got older and involved with racial politics he took a more extreme approach. Whilst Martin Luther King and other civil rights leaders were expunging the importance of equality and becoming a racially integrated society Malcolm X was loudly calling for self imposed segregation of African Americans. Joining the nation of Islam helped to define and shape Malcolm X s philosophy of race and until his eventual Hajj to Mecca he remained furiously racist towards white people. Malcolm X was despite his unique character simply the voice of an oppressed and angry group of people in America with the Nation of Islam being a huge voice in the civil rights era. Martin luther King s approach of nonviolent protest was put into perspective by Malcolm X s fiery rhetoric and perhaps even helped to give more power to Kings push for concrete racial policy change. Malcolm X is well known to be the outspoken alternative to Kings talk of peace and integration, however, despite this it is known that he had a real feeling of respect towards him. Malcolm X represented the African Americans who were at the bottom rungs of society, those that were poor and angry at the generations of oppression they had been forced to endure. In his autobiography he describes in detail the nature of a system that oppressed black Americans on a massive scale. Martin Luther King always had a much bigger following than ... Introduction Objectives Topic Justification Scope And Limitations II Policy III Tractor sales IV Growth in different segment IV Indian agricultural machinery V Population dynamics in agriculture VI Conclusion VII References Introduction India is an agricultural country. Seventy percent of its people live in villages. One third of our National income comes from agriculture. Our economy is based on agriculture. The development of agriculture has much to do with the economic welfare of our country. Agricultural market is continuously increasing for the past couple of decades in India as the technology is developing. The continues increasing demand of food products has resulted in the increased demand of food grains and thus has increased the use of farm machinery in rural areas. India is seeing the movement of labour from rural to urban areas which with the demand of increasing production efficiency in food product is the evidence that there is a future for farm mechanization in India. Make in India is an initiative of the Government of India, to encourage companies to manufacture their products in India. Companies like John Deere, New Holland, Mahindra Rise, TAFE have started increasing their operations in India. It is very clear that the Western model of agriculture can t support our Indian agriculture like heavy mechanized, less labor oriented, chemical based, high input agriculture. DPT stands for Diptheria, Pertusis (whooping cough) and Tetanus Common Childhood Diseases :: 215 Vaccines are also available for Hepatitis B and typhoid and can be given depending upon the availability of the vaccine and ability of the person to pay. As you can see, immunisation for certain diseases is given in more than one dose, spread over a few months. Each one of these doses is essential for complete protection. The second dose is called the booster dose . Remember, if at any stage you miss out on even one dose, the immunisation will not be effective and will have to be started all over again. Immediately after the child has been immunised, you may find that the child has mild fever. However, there is no reason to worry as the fever will not last longer than a day or two. Tort Court Issues Internet use has become more popular in the last two decades, while in the 80 and 90 s the common communication channels were phone and fax, electronic email has become the norm in the new century; computers and internet use have become ordinary commodities at the workplace. Common knowledge and internet etiquette (netiquette) teach us essential rules of proper behavior for internet use. In a tort civil suit, compensatory and punitive damage amounts are awarded in favor of the plaintiff; some conditions need to exist for a tort to be ruled in favor of a plaintiff. Contrary to a criminal trial, if the defendant is found guilty, he/she only needs to pay the ordered compensatory damages to the plaintiff, without the need to spend time incarcerated. There are intentional torts, and torts cause by negligence. The intention here is to enlighten you and your employees of the possible consequences of certain internet usage. There are a number of situations that can bring down a tort civil suit on an employer; among them is sexual harassment, which has become a common phenomenon of the internet as read in this excerpt, Sexual Harassment is the use of sexualized intimidation, insult, and threat to exert control over women. On the Internet, such behavior is more common and more outrageous than in the physical world because of the anonymity of the communications medium and the disproportionate number of men using it (Waerner, 2016). Another cause for torts is dissemination of confidential information; an employee(s) disclosing confidential information pertaining clients through the use of technology, can put an employer a risk for a tort suit. An important thing to remember is that nowadays, most files can be sent electronically, and downloads are enabled with just a click of couple of keys, special care need s to be taken to avoid malware or toher risk associated with viistng at risks sites. Another tort can be for intentional infliction of emotional distress on someone by a person who exhibited severe and outrageous behavior intentionally (Legal Information Institute, 2016). INTRODUCTION Smart Farming provides technological solutions to the agri cultural businesses as well as to the farmers. It has many applications in precision farming, weather forecasting, quality control, data analyses and collection, etc. With reference to that, crop disease detection is the subset of smart farming. Crop disease detection plays an integral role in the de velopment of the crops. In present era, the approach used for detection by farmers is through naked eye. It requires continuous observation and monitoring which results into loss of time and it is expensive. In some regions, farmers need to go various places to take guidance from the experts. Henceforth, automatic prediction of various diseases on the crop will provide real time benefits to the farmers that will save time, money, and life of the crop. To tackle the increasing inconvenience caused to farmers, a machine learning model, which can predict occurrence of cotton crop disease based on the temperature in the real environment and from the soil moisture temperature is proposed in this paper. Here we are considering 3 major cotton diseases of which 2 are evaluated, Anthracnose [Fig 1.1], Areolate or Greymildew [Fig 1.2], Wilt [Fig. 1.3] (a) Fig 1.1 (b) Fig 1.2 (c) Fig 1.3 Fig 1 : Cotton Crop

Analysis of the Absorption of Green Light Versus Red Light Absorption in Spinach Leaves The goal of the experiment was to determine if green light had less ability to absorb than red light in spinach leaves. This was done by separating the photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, carotene and xanthophylls) from one another using paper chromatography. The separated pigments were then analyzed for their absorption spectrum using a spectrographometer. When the data was graphed it clearly showed the higher rate of red light absorption over green light. These results along with previous research indicate the importance of red light in photosynthesis and the minor role green light plays. The majority of life on Earth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These wavelengths correspond to the wavelengths of visible light. Overall blue and red light works best, while green in least effective in the photosynthesis process (Nishio, 2000). The wavelengths that a pigment absorbs, absorption spectra, are determined using a spectrophotometer. In order to obtain the photosynthetic pigment s absorption spectra the pigments are separated using paper chromatography. Paper chromatography is an analytical technique that separates a mixture based on the individual pigment s size, polarity and solubility (Lewis, 2004). The separation of the mixtures involves a stationary phase (the chromatography paper), which a mobile phase (solvent) moves up through. When the mixtures is applied to the paper and allowed to flow with the mobile phase, the different pigments move at different rates (Campbell, 1996). This means the pigments that absorb the strongest to the stationary phase (the chromatography paper) will move the slowest, while the weakest will move the fastest. The rate of the pigments movement will separate each pigment individually from the mixture (Maitland, 2002). This natural separation shows that each pigment is chemically different and plays different roles in photosynthesis (Maitland, 2002). To analyze the separated pigments a spectrophotometer is used to obtain an absorbance spectrum. This spectrum is a graph that shows a pigment s light absorption versus wavelengths ... • 10. Media Portrayal Of Violence In The Media The risk of developing aggressive behavior is high among children who were raised in a negative environment such as social and economic factors play a huge role. The primary place a children is in is at home. Poverty has a significant impact on a child s social behavior these children that are raised in poor environments have a higher risk of behavior problems. Impoverished communities have a wide range of people living there not all the people in that neighborhood may have the same parenting styles or teach their child to behave. Children in impoverished neighborhoods can often play with other kids outdoors and since other children may not be raised to behave well they will bring that behavior in their homes and begin to use it. Potential behavior that can arise from other children who do not behave can lead to not respecting others, anger, and violence. The media has been linked to aggressive behavior in children. The outcome of media portrayal of violence can have lasting effects such as children can be begin to feel less sensitive to the pain and suffering of others. Sometimes watching violence can even be enjoyable because of how the media plays it out to be. It may be funny or no consequences or punishment to violent act committed. Violence seems to be everywhere, on television, news, video games and especially movies this creates a distorted view of what reality truly is. • 14. The Ethics Of Business Management Essay Prior to my interview with Dr. Lisa Calvano, I did not have the impression that research was involved in any part of business management. After meeting with her, I learned exactly how important research is to the business management discipline. Research in business management is a systematic investigation that helps to answer complications and problems within businesses. Research in the field contributes to solid management understanding and knowledge. Information from research is usually produced by classical methods: statistical data and analysis, interview data, and survey data (i.e., stock prices). Researchers, especially in business management must be careful to declare their research findings as credible. Research in business management abides by ethical thinking. Researchers evaluate their data properly and need to recognize that specified data may be confidential. Most data that management researchers find is private and it is intended to be kept that way. When researchers question the ethics behind their research, they look to an Institutional Review Board (IRB) and occasionally The Code of Ethics . The IRB is a council that was instituted to review and authorize any and all research engaging humans. The purpose of the committee is to protect human subject research and to ensure it is regulated according to federal, institutional and ethical guidelines. He goes on to say that the general understanding science students should have is that people can confront the universe and learn about it directly through scientific testing (520). The theory of creationism can not be tested using the earth and universe directly, and because of this Eldredge feels that it would be detrimental to students general understanding of science. Creationism Isn t Science is the title of this essay and it explains the ideas of this essay in one sentence; the author, however, takes approximately six pages to reiterate this idea. Eldredge s main point is simply that creationism isn t a science and evolution is a vital theory in the field of science. The idea is basic; the theory of evolution is based in science and therefore is to be taught in a science curriculum. Evolution is the theory that there is one basic scheme of similarities interlocking all of life. This theory is usually studied in biological fields but is useful in a number of other scientific fields. By explaining the uses of evolution in some scientific fields, Eldredge makes the point ... • 17. Compare And Contrast Rainforests And Mangroves Rainforests and Mangroves hold very vital roles in our ecosystems, in which this essay is comparing the two. Mangroves cultural significance towards Brisbane are strongly linked to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of Australia. They have provided food, shelter, medicine and many other resources to the land owners for over 40,000 years. They are also important to Brisbane s natural environment because they are immensely productive ecosystems in which they provide various resources and services, for instance they protect shorelines from erosion. Political Changes Of The Industrial Revolution The Industrial Revolution that happened in England, 1760, was the transition from a rural, agrarian society into urban, industrial societies due to the improvements in science, technology, society and culture which affected the political, economic and social status of the country. Although the change was termed The Industrial Revolution due to the significant changes that occurred, debate rages on about how it was also an Industrial Evolution because the changes that led to the transition to the urban society we know and now live in today can also be classified as evolutions in their own rights. One major political change of the industrial revolution were the laws that were created during the time to abolish child labour. Back in the early stages of the industrial revolution, children were used as labourers, because of their size and nimble fingers which allowed them to manoeuvre around and work in small spaces in factories and mines where adults couldn t reach. Implementing The Universal Protocol Procedure In 2003, as an outcome of all the sentinel events reported to the Joint commission lead to the creation of the The Universal protocol for preventing wrong site, wrong procedures, and wrong person surgery (Mulloy Hughes 2008). So, one of the ways that could have potentially prevented the situation from happening at the first place was implementing the universal protocol procedure. According to the protocol the conduction of proper pre as well as post operating procedures are extremely mandatory. Therefore, by enforcing a standardized routine pre operating procedure such as verifying the patient as well as the correct site for the procedure, by having the medical staff or preferably the physician marking the operating site with his or her initials before the surgery will be an effective preventive measure (Mulloy Hughes 2008). Also, by properly conducting a time out session where the patient is provided with a standardized briefing prior to the patient is sedated in the OR could also eliminate some the sentinel or adverse events in the OR. Furthermore, follow a checklist, which not only pertains to the surgery itself, but also focuses on the other procedures involved such as admissions, anesthesia equipment, and discharge (Mulloy Hughes 2008). • 28. Analysis Of The Poem Twenty One Love Poems By Adrienne... Adrienne Rich was a highly acclaimed twentieth century poet who railed against war and the injustices in the world, and also used imagery that spoke tenderly of love feelings that she sensed were both highly individual for her, but also universal. Twenty One Love Poems were written between 1974 1976 to her lover of the time, and they track the course of the relationship through the sweet beginning stages, the development of mature love, and all the way through to its dissolution due to her partner s seeming inability to come out and admit to her homosexuality at a time in society when relationships between women were not endorsed or supported. The language in these poems is very rich and weaves both ugly city imagery and elegant metaphors and similes together, with the apparent intention of making the reader search inside to see if the images and ideas conveyed by the language can be applied to the reader s own experience of living too. While these poems are highly individualistic and at times very personal, this impressive and moving body of poetic accomplishment also reflects themes to which all human beings can relate. In an interview with Kate Waldman in The Paris Review, Rich herself states that: As long as I can remember I have cared about the timbre, the phrasing of a poetic line. In this way we can see that Matisse artwork is an art of balance which avoids the depressing subject matter. Henri Matisse further explores the Fauvists ideas in his art work, through the use of the lines and shapes. The lines and shapes play a significant role in the work and the lines work together to establish balance. The balance of lines and shapes is achieved through the geometric and organic shapes. The painting Open window, Collioure is typically simplified into shapes and forms whose details are conveyed by untouched brush strokes of roughly the same size. This creates an overall harmony that is unexpected in a composition of such incompatible and dramatic complementary colours. Furthermore, the key to his success in using such intense colours was the realization that he had to simplify his drawing.
