1. Evaluation Question 2. How
effective is the combination of
your main product and your
ancillary texts?
2. Reoccurring motifs
The same actors are seen on each of the print products as well as in the music video. This is a way
that all the products link together and help the audience to recognise that the products are a part
od a set.
3. Reoccurring Motifs
There are also photos on both print products which were taken using the bench which was seen in
the music video. This is a much less obvious link to the music video, especially on the digipak where
one of the photos is a close up and the audience, or those looking at it would be unaware that they
are sat on the bench.

4. Reoccurring motifs
The front cover of the digipak itself has an image of clouds on it, which is a reference to the clouds
which reoccur throughout the music video, although they are not the same ones as I needed a still
image and I couldn’t find a good position for them to be in in the clip from the music video.

5. Reoccurring motifs
Having all of the products link together means that they are easily recognisable to be a part of the
same package and is effective in showing the links.
6. How effective/ coherent the package is
Due to there being links to all of the products, the package is effective in being obviously
constructed and used together. There is continuation of images and typefaces, with the typefaces
being clear and easy to read as well as linking to the genre or the music video. Because of these
links and how each of the aspects of the products have connotations linking to the genre, it is
effective.
