Separation of Lanthanides/ Lanthanides and Actinides

1.
2. All of our products link together because we have kept it simply and
used the same theme throughout the entire project. As you can see in
the picture above, we have used the same picture from our final video
and implemented that idea onto our magazine advert. Our aim was to
make a video which linked to all of our ancillary texts. For an example,
if someone from the public looked at our magazine advert and digi-
pack and then watched the video, they would realise that the same
pictures have been used in all three products. We wanted the
audience to see the link between all of our products, which makes the
entire project a success.
3. Our main product links to the ancillary texts through the use of
pictures, typography, colour, lighting and the overall theme
which flows through the three products. We have used the same
font in the magazine advert and the digi-pack, which makes the
audience aware that these two products are similar. The black-
and-white effect makes the entire product stand out and unique.
We decided to use this effect, when the ancillary texts did not
link. There is a theme which has been created through the
ancillary texts, which makes the project stand out.
4. The black-and-white effect had an big impact on our video
and we constantly were discussing as a group whether it was
the right choice to add it to our video. However, from doing
my evaluation and looking at the ancillary texts, I believe that
all of the work links in together and stands out in a
appropriate way. The black-and-white has connotations of
emotion, depression, moodiness and loss. All of these were
considered before attempting to produce our entire work in
black-and-white.
5. The picture above is of a digi-pack for Rihanna's new
album. This inspired me to come up with the idea of
maybe changing our music video to black-and-white. I
discussed this idea with my colleagues and we came
to a conclusion that it was the right choice to and it
would stand out. As you can see above, the digi-pack
has a smooth theme which flows through the entire
cover.
6. This is a picture of myself editing both ancillary
texts, which I found very interesting. I used,
Photoshop, to edit and create certain features for
the digi-pack and magazine advert. Throughout the
editing process, I did not use any other program to
help with the final task. Personally, I believe
Photoshop is one of the best programmes for
editing and creating new ideas.
