The document discusses how effectively the artist's main music video product combines with ancillary texts like a digipack and magazine ad.
While the ancillary texts advertise the full album rather than a single song, themes, imagery, and naming are used consistently across products to link them. Binary oppositions in narrative and imagery also add complexity. The digipack and music video directly reference the record company and share footage from the music video shoot. The magazine ad is the weakest in combining as it only advertises the digipack without relating to the music video. Overall, themes, imagery, names, and some direct references effectively combine the products despite serving different purposes.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Evaluation: Q2
1. How effective is the
combination of your main
product and ancillary texts?
Evaluation: Q2
2. To Be Noted
It is vital for all of my media products to effectively
combine as it establishes the artists and songs
identity. This is not only vital for the artist, but also for
the audience.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My ancillary texts are separate/'stand alone' to my music
video due to them advertising an entire album, whilst my
music video represents connotations of one particular
song.
Due to this I do not think that my ancillary texts are, or
need to be directly linked to the music video since they are
advertising an entire album rather than a specific song.
If I was to state that my ancillary text are linked directly
with my music video, this could be seen as misleading and
false.
3. Binary Oppositions
I believe that one way that the combination
of my advert, digipack and music video is
made effective, is through the binary
oppositions that have fuelled their creation.
I have used Levi Strauss’ theory of binary
oppositions in order to make the media
have a further meaning that just what it is.
For example, instead of just being a music
video that has a basic narrative, it is made
more complex by the juxtaposing
characters within it and their different views
on society.
In my digipack I have used juxtaposing
rural and urban imagery as it follows the
same theory and cause my ancillary texts
to become effective in combination with my
music video.
VS
4. Themes
Another was that my media texts are made effective, is the use
of consistent themes throughout.
In my music video there is a lot of imagery of the sky. This is
because the sky is seen to depict hope and is therefore relevant
to the theme of the music video. The sky is therefore also heavily
featured on both of my ancillary text. This allows all of my
products to demonstrate their clear link and show how they are
not individual media texts.
The sky can be seen in
all of my media products
as demonstrated here.
5. The Imagery
All the images that have been used on
my digipack and magazine ad, were
taken on the set of the music video.
This shows a direct link between the
products, however this is not direct to
audiences. It is still a link none the less
as I have identified.
6. The Name
I decided to name my digipack ‘Discoveries Made’. This
suggests that the album will detail all of the discoveries
that the artist has made through the tracks.
This correlates to my video as there is a ‘discovery’ made
in regards to the singers views on society and the
homeless. He discovers that not all homeless people want
help and that they may have their own views on society
which cause this. This correlation shows how all of my
media products are combined effectively.
The album name is also intriguing and would draw
audiences in to find out what discoveries have been made
by the artist. This would in turn draw a large audience to
the music video in order for them to visually see how the
artist has made his discovery (the meaning behind it).
7. Record Company
Both my music video and digipack reference the
record company as this is a convention of these
products.
By including the same information on both
products, I have effectively linked digital and
physical media texts together and shown how my
media products combine.
8. Magazine Ad
This is the least effective product when combined
since it only advertises the digipack and had no
direct relation to the music video.
It is also the most simplistic out of all of the
products. Due to this it does not have as many
links with the other products.
Despite, the colours used and imagery being
similar, the product is the weakest in terms of its
effectiveness when combined with the other
media products.
