- 3. Continued… …This creates a recognizable brand for the entire promotional package. There is a color motif attached to the way in which my ancillary products have been branded together. The sepia look has given each photo an orangey tint which suits the graphics that have been added to try and show decay. This sells the promotional package overall by giving it a style which is recognizable and iconic, and Is connotative of the genre it is selling (alternative metal).
- 4. Effective? Overall I think the way I have combined the imagery in terms of what it is symbolic of in my whole promotional package is quite effective. The use of cigarette burns on the digipak is directly connotative of an element of the music video, the use of spray paint effects on the advert sell the idea of being alternative and is in keeping with the rough and weathered art style I have employed throughout. The strong visual campaign being made is one of decay, which will appeal to the target audience as it follows genre conventions, as well as having a connection to the themes in the video: death, a downward spiral etc. Cigarette burn.
