This proposal outlines a music video project for an audience aged 10-35 of all genders and social statuses. The student has learned Premiere Pro and Photoshop skills over the year and wants to create an EDM music video incorporating animation and editing clips to the song beat. Research will identify a suitable song and animation creation in Photoshop. No filming is needed as clips are already collected. The student will edit clips in Premiere Pro and evaluate the final work by analyzing strengths and areas for improvement.

Fly Music Video
1. Proposal
1
Working Title:
Fly to the sky
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
My target audience is aged from 10-35 because I think this age range is interested in this type of
music the most. Also my product will be targeting every gender as I think everyone can enjoy the
music. The social status that I will be targeting will be them all. Everyone is able to enjoy music
and they also don’t need to pay for it either.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Use the
Audience Classifications PowerPoint on Blackboard to help you develop this section.
Why would your project appeal to this person? Discuss each audience element in relation to
content (why would your product appeal to the age group? Why would your product appeal to the
gender? Etc.)
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Throughout the year I learned how to use premiere pro. I wasn’t too knowledgeable on this
software but then I learned how to edit with it and now I think I can edit a good piece of work
together. Also I have gotten a lot better at animation in photoshop as and I cant wait to do it for my
project.
Review your progress throughout the year- what skills and knowledge have you acquired?
How has the subjects you have studied this year informed your choice for this project?
What have you studied and how will it have a direct impact upon your project?
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept for my project will be to create a music video for EDM music and edit the clips to fit
well in with the beat of the song. To to this I will have to research some songs that I like and make
sure that they fit with the clips that I have. Also I will be adding an animation into the music video
and I will be making this in photoshop.
What is the concept for your project and what are you going to make?
What research will you need to conduct and how will it help you make your project/
Production Techniques (approx. 150 words)
I do not need any production techniques as I already have the clips but I will have to create the
animation and also edit the video in premiere pro.
What specialist techniques do you need to consider? (e.g. green screen, Steadicam, post-
production, sound, etc)
Does this require any specialist equipment/training/demos?
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan to evaluate my work by looking over everything that I have done and say exactly what I have
done well in the project and everything that could do with improving.
How do you plan to evaluate the work? Reference conducting on-going evaluation and your final
self-reflection, analysing your work and its outcomes.
