This proposal outlines a student's plan to create a zombie horror film for their project. The intended audience is male teens aged 17-24 who enjoy zombie and horror genres. The student feels their filmmaking skills have improved over the year from practicing with a music video. Their concept is to create an intriguing zombie apocalypse film to draw audience attention in cinemas. Over 10 weeks they will research the genre, conduct production experiments, develop a production plan, shoot and edit the film, provide an evaluation, and allow for contingencies.

Working Title: zombie horror
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience: Male teens 17-24 , teens and adults who are into zombie horror or just horror and
my project will appeal to this group of people as they will enjoy the details and the way the
film is made.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Use the

Why would your project appeal to this person? Discuss each audience element in relation to
content (why would your product appeal to the age group? Why would your product appeal to the
gender? Etc.)
Rationale (approx. 100 words) I feel like I am happy with filming and taking pictures, which I
have been good at and also editing the final bits will be fun as I like to edit and change
colours contrast or add shade etc. I always wanted to make a horror film as at the
beginning of the year this is what in wasbuilding for and wanted to do about zombies or
horror and I feel like I have learned a lot and how I will produce my best work with
producing a horror movie. As well as that, my camera shots have improved from before as
shooting a music video really helped with identifying the mistakes in my shots as there was
a lot of movement or wasn’t steady and also some of the shots were not clear and crisp as I
didn’t have a firm, steady hand.

Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
I am making a horror film and the concept is to intrigue and draw the audience attention to
want to go view the film in cinemas as they are fans of zombie horror films and zombie
apocalypse horror films are different and not your usual horror films which come out so it
will be a different experience for people. I will need to look, into zombie horror films and
how to make it the best I can do and how it is scary and different compared to your normal,
typical horror films and what I can do to make jkt my own and add a twist to it making it
interesting to watch.

I will take into accord everything I have learnt this year and I will also see how I attempted to make
a horror film last academic year and see what I did right and wrong and how I can take the next
step into making the movie more unique and better than last time to get the maximum and best
grade possible.
