Working Title:
- After effects
- Consequence
- Actions have consequences.
Audience:
My film is mainly going to be directed at teenagers from 12-19 of both genders, however this film
will also appeal to anyone of any age who has experienced mental health in either their life or
others close to them. I have chosen a younger audience because I feel that they are the most
unaware of the consequences their actions can have. To get them to connect to the film I have
chosen Cyber Bullying as this is a massive problem across the world due to the influence of Social
Media so this is a realistic situation that they will be able to relate to. I think that watching this film
as a bully, victim or bystander shouldn’t matter because it shows how your actions have
consequences no matter what part you play.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Use the
Audience Classifications PowerPoint on Blackboard to help you develop this section.
Why would your project appeal to this person? Discuss each audience element in relation to
content (why would your product appeal to the age group? Why would your product appeal to the
gender? Etc.)
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept for my film is a drama surrounding Cyber Bullying and the effects it can have on one
person. This is to spread awareness on sensitive issues that a lot of people don’t know how to talk
about. In my film I will bring up the issues of Mental Health (mainly Depression and Anxiety), I
might bring up eating disorders but I’m not sure and then cyber bullying as well.
What is the concept for your project and what are you going to make?
What research will you need to conduct and how will it help you make your project/
Production Techniques (approx. 150 words)
The specialist techniques I am bringing into my film are lights, sound and post-production. I am
going to be using lights to convey emotions and hidden messages into my film that the audience
will subtly pick up on. I’m going to be using sound to build tension for example heavy breathing put
over the top of a video clip. This helps the audience to know what is going on. I will also be using
Post-Production to make the whole film come together at the end. I will be using quick snappy
flickering clips to convey the panic my main character is feeling.
(I’m not sure yet but might need the steadicam for some scenes?)
What specialist techniques do you need to consider? (e.g. green screen, Steadicam, post-
production, sound, etc)
Does this require any specialist equipment/training/demos?
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
To evaluate my work I will be asking a few different people to watch my film and then I will ask
them a few questions about it to gauge their reaction and feelings towards my film. I will also be
doing this throughout my creating my piece to see what I can make better throughout the whole
process. This will ensure that I am creating the best work I can.
Before starting my filming process I am going to write down a few questions I want to know after
the filming process. I will answer them before and then answer them again after filming, to see
what was changed and what stayed the same. This will be a good self evaluation as it is a clear
track of what I have done.
How do you plan to evaluate the work? Reference conducting on-going evaluation and your final
self-reflection, analysing your work and its outcomes.
