2. Process
• First of all I created a new
transparent document at 720x720
pixels because this is a perfect size
for a logo. I then put some text onto
the page and this was the font for
the logo. The font is called
“BeTrueToYourSchool” and I used
the size font 24 pt but then enlarged
it using the free transform tool. I
used this font because I think this
font will go really well with my
name which is soul senders. At the
moment it might not look like it will
suit the name but I had some ideas
of what I wanted my logo to look
like when it was finished.
3. Process
• In this image I added a boarder
around the font. I did this so
that the viewer knows exactly
what to look at and to make it
stand out more. To add the
boarder I used the rectangle
tool and made each one a
different size so that it would
match perfectly around the
font. I made the outline 3 pt
and then I filled the rectangle
in black. I duplicated the first
line and then all I did was
change the length of each of
them to fit all around the text.
4. Process
• In this image I added bats to
give the logo a bit more detail.
I had to cut them out of an
image with more bats on
because I couldn’t find a good
enough image of silhouette
bats. I then added a guitar at
the top of the logo, I did this so
that the audience would know
what type of genre the musical
band was. I got a normal guitar
but then I added a colour
overlay to It and made it look
like a silhouette so that it
would stick to the theme.
5. Process
• In this image all i did was get
an image from the internet of
a pin board. I already had an
Idea of what type of design I
wanted to do for my poster. I
had seen something like this of
a banner and decided I wanted
to recreate something similar
myself. Before I put the image
into a photoshop file, I created
a new transparent document
at 3508 x 4961 pixels because
this was the recommended
size from google.
6. Process
• In this image I added the logo to the
poster, I did this because it is important
for the audience to know who the poster
is promoting. For the boarder I got an
image of an old photo frame because I
feel like this has a perfect look on a pin
board design. I added a black rectangle
that fits perfectly inside the old photo
frame to give the logo a background. I
then added the bands logo inside of it
and then I used colour overlay and
changed it to white, I did this because if I
kept it as black then you wouldn’t be able
to see the logo at all. I added another
image of a band that I found on google
images but that image is supposed to
represent the band, I did this because I
currently do not have an image of the
band that I am creating and I wanted to
make sure I had an image of the band.
The final thing that I did was add a pin so
it makes it look like it is stuck to the pin
board.
7. Process
• In this image I got a picture from google
images of a sticky note that has been
taped, I wanted it to look like it has been
taped on because it will be something
different rather than it just being pinned
on. This makes it look like that it has been
taped to the board. I looked for a font on
dafont.com that would stand out and it
would be easy to read for anyone that
has the chance to read the poster. I
wanted to font to look like it has been
hand written because if the writing is on
a post-it-note then it would make sence
to be hand written. The font that I used is
called ”AlexHandwriting” also I got an
image of a guitar then has been hand
drawn. What I like about this guitar is
that the size of the pen is the same as the
font so it looks like it has been drawn at
the same time. I also added to guitar to
fill more space but in the end I think it
turned out better.
8. Process
• In this image I got more sticky notes but I
got a smaller version of them because
each aspect that I added was separate
and had their own individual thing. I kept
the same theme and made the post-it-
notes still look like they are stuck on with
tape. Also I have got hand drawn social
media logos so it looks like it has been
drawn on to fit the rest of the theme. I
did this because if I got the actual logo
from the social media brands then I do
not think it would fit in with the poster.
For the social medias I made up my own
and then added them onto the poster so
people will know where to visit when
they need information. I used the same
font as I did with the tour dates because I
knew they was readable.
9. Process
• For this image all I did was get
black white t-shirt of the front
and back so I could easily add a
design onto it. I chose the
colour white because I enitially
made my logo in black so I
wanted to put it onto a white
t-shirt. I could of easily
changed the colour of the logo
but I wanted to keep it black.
To create the photoshop
canvas I did not set exact
dimensions because I just
wanted it the same as what
the t-shirt design came in.
Then I just directly imported
the image and then started
from there.
10. Process
• In this photo all I did was add the logo
onto the front and back. I put the logo on
both sides so people can recognize the
logo from anywhere. I made the logo
smaller by using the free transform tool
and then also did the same thing on the
back to enlarge the logo. I experimented
if the logo would look good big or small
on the front but then I finally decided to
keep it small. The reason I chose to keep
it small is because it was also big on the
back so I didn’t think it looked as good. To
get the logo onto the back I duplicated
the layer and used the free transform
tool again to increase the size. I knew
from the start how I wanted the back of
my design to look and from then I
created it how I wanted it to be made.
11. Process
• In this image I put the guitar onto
the top of the sleeves and you can
see them from both sides, I did
this so that it would give the t-
shirt a bit more detail rather then
just the logo on it. To do this what
I did was duplicate the logo and
then cut everything out apart
from the guitar. Then I put it half
way on the top of the t-shirt and
cut it down the line. To put it on
both sides I pasted the other side
of it and then rotated it so it
would match perfectly with the
other side of the guitar. I then
repeated this for the second guitar
on the shoulders.
12. Process
• In this image I added the tour dates to
the back of the t-shirt. I decided to put
them onto the back because I saw a lot of
other existing merch designs and I
realised that this would be the correct
spot. I wanted them to know that it was
going to be in 2018 so I put that in big
bold writing compared to the other text
because that is the title of the tour. I did
this is a font called “Bebas." I used this
font because I think that it suits a title
and important information. I used the
font size 12 but I made the font bigger
using free transform because I could
make it the perfect size that I wanted.
After that I put the dates on the back of
the t-shirt and also the locations that
they are playing at on that day. The font
that I used for this is called “agency
FB.” I then used the rectangle tool to put
line down the middle. I did this to
separate the dates and locations to make
it look cleaner.
13. Process
• To start of with in this image
I set up my canvas size at
720x720 pixels, I did this
because that was the
recommended size for a CD
design. I added text over
the front in the font called
“bebas” then I lowered the
opacity to 47% so it didn’t
stand out too much. I did
this because I didn’t want
the background to be just
blue and I if people niticed
it they would take time to
read what it says.
14. Process
• In this image I changed
the logo from black to
white. To do this I
went onto blending
options and then
changed the colour
overlay from black to
white. I did this
because white will
stand out more than
black and it will make
it easier for people to
read.
15. Process
• In this image I added some
musical notes across the front
of the CD cover. I did this so
the audience will understand
what the genre of this musical
Cd is. I also added a png of
some other musical notes to
the front cover. In the top right
there is another musical note
but it is the same colour of the
back ground but you can see it
because of the font that is
behind it. The final thing that I
did was add the atlantic label
into the top left.
16. Process
• To start this CD design I
stared with making the
canvas 720 x 720 and made
it transparent so I could add
what ever I wanted with a
non existent background. I
got the image from google
images and so that it would
save me time instead of
creating it myself. I then
added a white outline by
using the shape tool. I did
this because the outline of
the CD was faded so I had to
make it solid.
17. Process
• To start of with this design I added a blue
background because this is the colour that I
chose for my CD cover. To cut out the blue I
went around with the rubber tool. I could of
done this in a much faster way if I used the pen
tool and made it select it all and then rub it out.
After I added the blue background I made sure I
had the logo onto it and then added it. I put
this behind the CD outline and then rubbed out
the logo from the centre of the circle. I then
added the atlantic record label inside the guitar
because I fell like that went well with the colour
scheme. The next aspect that I added was the
white musical notes, what I did for this is got an
image from google and then cut out the parts
that was outside of the circle with the rubber
tool. Also I got a mixture of crotchets, quavers
and semi-quavers. I did this because my band is
a musical band. The final thing that I did was
add the logo to the background and lowered
the opacity to make it sure you can hardly see
it.
