2. Navigation
I have included a navigation bar to allow the user to switch pages such as the home page, the
blog, the gallery as well as the form. This tool also allows the user to see all the information about
the reggae poster. I have also added a contact form to allow users to send in their designer
posters relating to reggae and comparing it to the level 2 class.
This was very helpful for the audience as they are able to change tabs which shows a interactive
movement of the audience taking part in doing things for themselves. As a consumer to the
website, the tabs and the navigations which have been made towards the websites have clearly
showed the audience, what reggae music is about and why we celebrate it.
The navigation was also there to show the different things the website included such as the gallery
where the user is able to see everyone's poster and to be aware of what reggae is mainly about.
Some people have got some information about it and that is that Bob Marley made music. As the
Level 2 class, we have decided to change the opinion of different people due to the fact that there
is more to it rather than one man participating for reggae music. Due to the fact that there are
around 26 posters, there has to be some sort of way the user will need to consume more
information this way.
3. Hyperlink
I have included a hyperlink to show where my blogger is set, the hyperlink is easy for
the user to quickly click on the image of the blogger logo which takes the user to my
blog for Unit 13, which is everything I have included for the Graphic design unit. The
user can see things like the plan as well as how I have structured my website as well
as my poster. The user can basically see how I have managed to complete everything
with the different software's I have used. For example, with the poster I had used
Photoshop. Which allows the user to take notes and possibly give it a try making a
poster of their own.
The hyperlink was very helpful to the audience as it was like a little help list. Due to the
fact that my blog contains a lot of work hence why the user does click on the blogger
hyperlink, he/she will be able to see all of the distinction work that I have produced due
to the theme of reggae music.
4. Grid/Structure
I have organised the grid and structure in a way that the banner remains at the top of the website
which briefly explains the main message of the website. I also did this to make my website look
neat and tidy and that the user is getting reliable source from my website due to things like reggae
music.
I have also included a short little explanation on clearly what the user must do as well as the
different posters shown. These are things like how we all teamed up as a class to create 26
posters of the theme reggae and how it originally formed its name.
I have made four different website navigation bars which have been mentioned in the previous
slide to allow the user to switch to the different page of the website. There are four options for the
viewer which makes the consumer very organised in consuming information to the audience.
Lastly on the side of the website, I have picked a design of a moving image also known as a G.I.F
image and is mainly made to show how the website looks professional.
5. Colour
In my website for the poster, I had to pick a appropriate colour to suit the theme of reggae music.
At first I had made a design which looked similar to my poster however, I was not able to keep it
due to the fact that I have realised it was not only my poster which was going to be shown but in
fact everyone poster was going to be shown which had allowed me to change it due to the fact
that I could not make it special.
The main colours I have chosen is dark green as well as normal green as it is one of the most
popular colours used for the reggae theme. Surprisingly I did not use the specific green that was
used in the website for my poster hence why I was keen and able to use the specific dark green
that you can see in the image. I have also included black as well as these two colours were not
used for my poster and I needed to make it different so I had decided to use it.
Lastly, I have included a sunset theme on the side of my website due to the fact that it is always
hot and sunny in places like Ghana so I realised it would suit the theme of reggae.
6. Interactivity: Dynamic or Static content
There are many things I have included which made my website interactive, One of these things is
embedding a code from a YouTube video and adding it to my blogger. This is very effective as I
have also made slight arrangements such as moving the video around the default place of where
it was originally. I have also changed the size of the video which has made it much easier and
more helpful for viewers to see.
I have also made a gallery section for the audience to have a look at all 26 posters which have
been made by my level 2 class. What I have done is I have put the posters in a way so that the
user is able to view one to the next. I feel like this has been made easier for the audience to view
the posters.
7. Use Of Imagery
There were many things was well as places where I have used imagery. The first place in which I
have used it is the text for the short introduction to my website. This was very helpful to the
audience as they now know the reason behind a reggae website as well as the main reason why
we celebrate it. I have included a nice paragraph which includes how our class is the number one
class who have won the competition in making reggae poster.
The second thing which I have included in my website is a short five second video allowing the
audience to know who has made the website and to also deliver a warm welcome to the audience
on what treat they will be seeing in my website. There are many special things such as this which
can be found throughout my website.
Lastly, I have included a contact form to clearly state the user thought and opinion of the website
as well as the poster. I had also given an opportunity for users to share their own posters and to
also compare them with our level 2 class.
