5. • Setiap manusia yang normal akan mengalami perkembangan fizikal dan
bahasa sejak mereka dilahirkan sehinggalah menjadi remaja, dewasa dan
tua. Sebagai seorang pendidik dan pengajar seharusnya mengambil tahu
dan peka dengan perubahan perkembangan terhadap kanak-kanak agar
dapat membantu mereka berkembang dengan sempurna.
• DEFINISI PERKEMBANGAN:
Ditakrifkan sebagai perubahan kualitatif iaitu perubahan yang tidak
dapat diukur secara kuantitatif, tetapi perubahan yang nyata berlaku
memperlihatkan sifat yang berlainan daripada peringkat yang terlebih
dahulu (Zainuddin, 2008).
• Perkembangan dan pertumbuhan merupakan sesuatu aspek yang berbeza.
Pertumbuhan diertikan sebagai ialah peningkatan jumlah dan ukuran yang
bersifat kuantitatif, iaitu boleh diukur dan dibezakan dengan pandangan
mata kasar manusia (Wong, Khairuddin, Maridah, Rashinawati dan Azlina,
2013).

6. Definisi Perkembangan Fizikal :
Perkembangan fizikal merujuk kepada perubahan saiz fizikal, kadar pertumbuhan
bahagian-bahagian badan, fungsi anggota-anggota badan dan perawakan manusia
(Woofolk & Margets, 2007). Semasa membesar, kanak-kanak akan mengalami
perubahan dalam ketinggian, berat badan dan menjadi lebih kuat serta dapat
melibatkan diri dalam aktiviti fizikal yang lebih kompleks.
Definisi Perkembangan Bahasa :
Perkembangan bahasa kanak-kanak bermaksud pemerolehan bahasa ibunda kanak-
kanak berkenaan (Tay Meng Guat, 2006).
Perkembangan bahasa adalah sebuah proses bermula dari awal kehidupan manusia,
ketika seorang kanak-kanak mulai menguasai bahasa denga belajar perkembangan
bahasa anak-anak bermula dari yang sederhana sampai yang kompleks (Zulkifli
Yaakob,2007).

Empat Tahun’ , terdapat 5 prinsip perkembangan kanak-kanak.

baka merujuk kepada ciri-ciri biologi atau gen-gen
yang diperturunkan melalui ibu bapa kepada anak-
anaknya.
• Contohnya perkembang bentuk badan, ketinggian,
rambut dan juga warna mata. Baka juga boleh
mempengaruhi penyuburan mental dan intelektual.
Baka
• Menurut Haliza Hamzah dan Joy N. Samuel (2009),
persekitaran pula merujuk kepada semua
pengalaman seseorang individu yang dihadapi
sebelum dan selepas lahir, di rumah, bersama jiran,
sekolah, masyarakat serta semua tempat di mana
individu tersebut berada.
Persekitaran
Menurut Rohani Abdullah (2001), terdapat lima aspek perkembangan
kanak-kanak iaitu faktor baka dan faktor persekitaran.

9. Individu akan mengalami perkembangan sepanjang hayat mereka
iaitu perkembangan fizikal (pertumbuhan fizikal akan terhenti
apabila seseorang mencapai kematangan).
Semasa pembesaran badan kanak-kanak akan mengalami
perubahan dalam ketinggian, berat badan, menjadi lebih kuat dan
dapat melibatkan diri dalam kegiatan fizikal yang lebih kompleks.
Perubahan- perubahan ini mempengaruhi tingkah laku kanak-
kanak secara langsung dan tidak langsung (Hurlock, 1978).
Perkembangan fizikal menenutukan kebolehan kanak-kanak
melakukan sesuatu, misalnya keupayaan mereka bersaing dengan
rakan sebaya dalam sukan atau permainan.
Walaupun bentuk dan saiz tubuh manusia lebih banyak
disebabkan oleh pengaruh bukan kebakaan. (Iklim/pemakan/Dll)
Namun baka merupakan faktor utama yang mempengaruhi
perkembangan aspek fizikal seseorang. Contoh : Warna mata,
warna kulit, Ketinggian, DSB.

11. Steinberg (1995) memperlihatkan bahawa kanak-kanak melalui
satu siri peringkat perkembangan bahasa semasa mereka menguasai
bahasa ibundanya (BI). Menurut beliau peringkat perkembangan bahasa
kanak-kanak dimulai dengan peringkat vokalisasi (6 bulan-11 bulan),
holofrasa (10 bulan- 18 bulan), telegrafik (18 bulan ke atas) dan diakhiri
dengan peringkat perkembangan ayat-ayat kompleks (4-5tahun).

• Perbezaan individu dalam kepantasan pertumbuhan dikawal sepenuhnya
oleh mekanisme genetik dalaman.
• Persekitaran : sosial dan budaya mempengaruhi perkembangan sesorang
sejak lahir yang cuba mempengaruh dan menggalakkannya berkelakuan
dalam cara yang sewajarnya.
