3. Research
• Research aloud me to find out what products were out there like the
product I was thinking about making, by finding out what was out there it
aloud me to see what worked well and what didn’t to help me make my
product the best it could be.
• There wasn’t that many products out there to work off of so I was one of
the only people doing what it I was doing. I didn’t have many things to
work off of so I was just doing my own thing.
• With there not been many things out there I was able to make it my own
and do things that people haven’t been doing. Also I was able to talk
about the film and the back ground of the group Storror.
4. Planning
I planned my production well as I made the script easy to read and made it so
if I wanted to add bits or take away bits I could and it would still make sense
also I made the sound affects before the product so I new how long to make
my product this way I only had to edit the speech when it came down to
editing.
A weakness of my product was that no one on my course new anything about
what I was doing about and we needed to do it in a pair but I only designed
the script for me so I did it by myself and its not as lively as it would have
been if there was another person with me.
5. Time Management
• I stuck to the schedule I made about what I was going to do, I also stuck to
the schedule that was on blackboard to get my work In on time. I didn’t
have time to book out a studio because there were technicians working in
there so I had to use a recorder but when I was recording the microphone
died so I had to use my phone to record it.
6. Technical Qualities
• ParkourEDU has a good feel to
it as they have got famous
parkour and freerunning
athletes to interview. It is
made by a professional
parkour athlete Brandon
Douglass. They are talking
about the films Giles Longley
has been making last year and
what parkour is and how it
has changed his life. They also
talk about the teams he’s in
and how he can work with
lots of different teams he can
work with such as Storror or
team storm.
Mine is about the film made by
the Storror guys and there
documentary supertramps and
there back story and info about
the film and stuff that you
wouldn’t know about while
watching the film like how they
only finished editing it an hour
before it was meant to be in
cinemas.
7. Aural Qualities
The music in the background sounded good and
the speech was clear. The pace of it was quite
fast but it was also chilled out.
8. Audience Appeal
I worked to the table I made to appeal to my audience so I stuck to that and
Appealed to the target audience by keeping it to the same age range at 12+ as
The film is rated a 12, the genders are the same as the film appeals to both male
And female, and its all based for people who do or enjoy to watch free running or
Parkour.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– What I liked about the radio show is the different
opening to the show, making it sound
professional. Working well with what u wanted to
get across. The content was perfect for the target
audience and was full of information.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
Adding in more sound effects would help the
flow.
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The speech is easy to listen to and understand
– The music fits well in the background
– Its fast paced witch makes it flow better.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Could do with more sound effects witch would
make it sound better if it had an into.
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– The soundtrack compliments the audio delivery well
– The information delivered is clear and relevant to the subject
– The language used suits the target audience.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
• Some pauses could have been edited to make the delivery flow better
• The delivery could have been sped up slightly to keep the audience
engaged
• The delivery seems to pause as you deliver the titles of the segments, this
could have been emphasised to separate the sections of the delivery and
sound effects to match the segments would have given the soundtrack
more variety.
• Catchy sign off such as ‘ follow up on the next segment from Edan with the
____ podcast’ would have made the product comply as a part of a series
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? I agree with my feedback as it could
have more sound effects and a better intro than
just get straight into it. Could have got rid of
some pauses to make it speed up a bit to give it a
better flow and keeping the audiences engaged.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– There was nothing that I didn't agree with and if I had
the chance to redo it I would add what they said
would help with my show to make it the best it could
be.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
I would add a intro song or an actual intro to make my
show more professional also I would have more than just
me in it to give it a more lively feeling and more fun to
listen to than just me reeling off information I would get
rid of all the times I pause and say “erm” and little things
like that to make it flow better and keep the audience
engaged. I would keep the music the same style to make it
work well with the audio track this would help with
keeping the audience wanting to keep listening and
engaged.
