2. Who is your audience?
• Our age certificate is 15+
• Our target audience is women 20-45
• This is because we thought that women around this
age will have children, and will also have
experienced things such as drugs, and they will also
be attracted by a women being in power.
3. What did we find from audience
feedback?
• Throughout our research we have gathered audience
feedback.
• We have don’t this through different ways such as:
• Survey monkey- from this we found that that the certificate age
should be 15,and that the main target audience are male.
However even though we found this, we thought that we would
go against it, however we still do target male viewers
throughout.
•
Questionnaires - From questionnaires handed around the
class about our initial idea we found that there are a range of
target audiences.
• Research on the internet- We found research on the internet
that told us that the females were the main target audience for
psychological thrillers.
4. What did we include?
By using a young female as the
main character we attracted our
target audience as females
because they can relate to the
character. We thought this would
attract the younger audience as
the female is shown as powerful
and she is fresh faced and
young. However we thought that
this would also attract a male
audience by using an attractive
young female as the main
character, but overall this is
targeted to females because it is
a female who is in power.
5. We used children's toys and
photographs to attract
women because women will
want to protect children as
they will have the innate
instinct to, and also women
from their 20’s might have
children themselves so they
can relate and it will show
more emotion, compared to
men who mat still care but
they wont have the same
feelings towards it as women
do.
6. Implying money is one of the
main causes of the narrative
attracts the audience and
can let people relate, for
example those we have had
money and lost it and can
relate to doing anything to
get it, and for women who
would do it to provide for
their children, or those we
are in a higher class and
have money and understand
how you have to do things to
get your money.
7. Using pills as the main
reason why the character
has gone into a mental
state can attract the
audience because as
some of the audience are
older they might be able
to relate or have had
experience of these sort
of things. Also women will
empathise more with the
character.
Using pills might also
attract people in
professions who are into
science for
example, which we further
use scientists and labs to
address that audience.
8. Introducing another
character that is male
will attract the female
audience because
they might see an
attraction in the male.
It will also address
the audience
because it could
imply a suggested
romance, or they
could relate to that
sort of friendship. On
the other hand it
could also attract
male audience
9. The costume for the main
character is important in
addressing the target
audience, because she is
shown to be young and up
to date in fashion for
example.
This therefore attracts the
younger female audience
as they are up to date in
the media and fashion
world.
10. Using technology and
modern things attracts the
younger audience as it is up
to date. It also attracts those
who have the money to
afford the modern
technology. Because we
show that this character can
drive it attracts the audience
of 20-25 because they are
therefore shown to be
closer to the same age.
11. By showing that the main character is pregnant, it is
addressing to the female audience because they can
relate to the character. They will also understand about
starting a new journey and be interested in her life.
They will want to find out about her family and if they
can relate things to their own, or if they are younger
they will want to know what it will be like to have a
family.
12. • The name of the film attracts the audience because the
older of the audience might wish they could have a ‘rewind’
and do things over.
• The soundtrack will attract the younger of the audience
because it is up to date and modern.
• Overall the plot will attract a female audience because it is
about a women's journey and the lenghths a women will go
through.
