HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA
PRODUCT REPRESENT
PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?
REPRESENTATION
 My Media group represents various social groups in various forms . The first social group that my media
work represents is young teenagers , aged ranged from 16-20 because the main female character is this age and she
is shown in a very self involved and obsessed manor . Teenagers stereotypically are known to be quite to
themselves and quite away from the domestic life of a house or into the family socialisatio , this goes along with
this theory .
 Another Group that media work presents is the female and male group , although our antagonist is a female
whereas in usual thrillers it is the other way round . The female is shown to be weak , in this case we have shown
the female to be the authorative character and we havent shown the male but the audience knows the male doesn’t
have any power over what the female is going to
 Finally In thrillers the person plotting is usually white male and the ethnic group is not really ever asian
because it is usual for an Asian girl to be involved with a man quite openly . Although my stereotype may be
classed as old fashioned , The asian stereotype of asian women being more enclosed and secluded DOES
INFACT exist .
WHAT KIND OF MEDIA
INSTITUTION MIGHT
DISTRIBUTE YOUR MEDIA
PRODUCT AND WHY?
Although It would be amazing for a big six company to distribute our film
(companies such as warner bros and paramount ) This is not what the reality is .
Our film was very low budget and does not consist of all the quality that Warner
Bros or the big Six companies require . Although our idea is innovative, our camera
quality is low as we were lacking resources and money to show high quality .
Our film was quite a budget film and as an independent Film producing company
, we think that an instituion such as pathe would be willing to produce our film
As our film is quite low key and different however if we do want to gain commercial
Success , Our film could be distributed by a more well known company such as working
title as They have connections with the American film industry and although our film
it self is not High quality , our idea and concept could be sold as Americans love the
British drama
And especially when it revolved around teenagers . As our films plot if quite
interesting and the setting is in London .
In addition to this the easier option is to use social media to distribute our film as it
is low cost and it is easily accessible therefore for our production company who is a
group of students , it would be more realistic to use social media to distribute .
WHO WOULD BE THE
AUDIENCE FOR YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT?
AUDIENCE
 The audience for my media product would be teenagers precisely
because they can relate to young love and they can relate to the story as
the characters are young and most people have gone through heartbreak
and pain when they have loved and lost . When the audience feels they
can relate to the story , they tend to want to watch it more however you
always find that the contrasting audience such as middle aged paretns will
also be attracted as they want to get an insight on what teenage love and
pain is .
HOW DID YOU
ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR
AUDIENCE?
ATTRACTING AUDIENCE
 To attract our audience we have used the enigma code in our thriller as nothing
is given a way too much . We use this code to maintain the audiences attention and
show the mystery in the film , our narratives aim is supposedly meant to be unique
as in cinemas today you don’t find female teenagers plotting to kill an ex . It is
always an older age group pursuing to do this .
 Although some may say that our plot is cleeshay , they do not know the real
reason she is going to kill her ex and this is the element of surprise in our thriller .
 Finally Our characters are quite modern and with the trends and the relationship
they have is what most teenagers do have .
LOOKING BACK AT YOUR
PRELIMINARY TASK
(CONTINUITY), WHAT DO YOU
FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT IN THE
PROGRESSION FROM IT TO THE
FULL PRODUCT?
THE BEGINNING
 At the very beginning of the year , with the same people . We were given a continuity task to carry out as part
of research for our main production , Doing this task helped us get an idea of how important continuity is and
how hard it is editing . At this point I did not have any idea how to edit and how to use the softwares however
now I have completed the whole production , I understand fully . The prelimenary task helped the whole group
gain insight on what producing our opening would be like and it also showed us how to keep to schedules and
how attendance and punctuality of the actors and actresses is important . Also showed us that it is not easy to get
into a role that you are not familiar with .
 Also doing this task has helped the group understand to keep to a certain time limit which has been set . To
keep an opening short and sweet is hard when you want to put everything you have into it therefore this task was
a good lesson and helped me and my group ( shpoter productions ) come a long way 
